Reviews of Kendrick Dew Remover Heater for 5" Telescopes, & Tubes from 5.5"
Works great. I have about 6 others for various scopes and eyepieces from 2-14". Saved many an otherwise short viewing or imaging session. I recommend using a regulated control box to minimize the current draw especially if you are running off a battery.

C.R. Gibson Emily Green Imagination Mat, Here Kitty Reviews
A great placemat our second round. The first one lasted about a year it probably would've lasted longer if I'd just wiped it instead of washed it in the sink, but our kids are learning to clear their own plates so I just let them put it in the sink with everything else. Cute, bright, and makes mealtime fun for our kids.

Buy Hape - Fantasia Stacking Block Train
This toy has provided constant entertainment for my son. He is 1 1/2 and loves the 3 train cars especially. He loves to drive them around, being that he is really into scooting stuff around at this time. It is very simple, durable and leaves room for imagination. I do however not like that the production of Educo toys are outsourced to Asian countries so far from our own economy.Great craftsmanship and beautiful toy. My 1yr old son is still a little young to learn to stack, but likes to take it apart and push it around.
Kidz Lab T Rex Dino Dig Excavation Kit Review
I got this for my nephew, cause, as all little kids are, he's totally into dinosaurs. LOVES them. He's always digging for fossils, and every rock he finds, is a fossil (altho he knows they're really not). Anyhow, i got him this, cause as a budding paleontologist, he has to start somewhere. He opened it as his birthday present and was super excited about it. He started "digging" out the dino with his mom, but when dad got there wanted to finish with him. He dug out all the bones and assembled them and has since told me that next he wants triceratops. He has his fully assembled dinosaur on display in his room. He is very proud of it. And I will get him the triceratops for xmas.
If you have a budding paleontologist, or even just a kid that loves dinos, i recommend this. My nephew got great enjoyment from it, and therefor i got great enjoyment from it.
The box says "8" years i believe, my nephew is five. His use of the product was closely monitored by an adult, and the end product is an incredibly cute, accurate (albeit small) soft flexible reproduction of a t-rex

Best Pull Along Dachshund Deals
Over 25 years ago my children received Brio toys as gifts--and they were so durable and fun, I buy them now as gifts for children. They are well made and stand up to many, many hours of play. I saved my children's and they look brand new...the newer ones probably will too! (The 4 stars on the "fun" rating is an error--should have been 5 but I can't go back and edit it....)

Our little grandson is finally crawling forward (instead of his usual backward propulsion) to catch the little doggies tail! His three year old sister pulls and he crawls great fun for the siblings, while the doting parents and grandparents cheer them both on. All Brio products are soooo very durable!Best Deals for Pull Along Dachshund
Among all the ride-ons and battery-powered toys at my granddaughter's first birthday party, this was the biggest hit. When it arrived, I was surprised that it was smaller than I expected (even though I'd read the description), but it was the perfect size for a 1-year-old -and very popular with her older toddler cousins, as well. It ended up covered with cake frosting and ice cream, but we stuck it under the faucet and it looked as good as ever. A really nice, simple toy!Honest reviews on Pull Along Dachshund
Disappointed. The toy is good quality.. but it is SO small..I didn't expect for the money this cost, to be able to fit this toy in the palm of my hand.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Pull Along Dachshund
The little dog is well balanced, with a beautiful finish that resists chipping. The head turns, the ears can be moved and the tail boinged. The colors attract attention, very well made and babies love this dachshund. Simple and well designed, this one can move on to be used in the older childs play too. Elegant.Saturday, August 2, 2014
Best Brainy Baby ABC's Board Book Deals
I first got the numbers brainy n=baby book, and since my son likes it I got the ABC one also. They are the same, just a plain page with colorful items. One image per letter. There is not a story, just each letter and an object. I like it that the pages are hard so young ones can't destroy them.My 1 year old loves this book!!! The letters and pictures are a good size, there are only 2 per page so the pages aren't over crowded. I'm very pleased with the book, and more importantly, so is my son!

Discount I Dig Triceratops Skeleton Excavation Adventure - Paleontology arts
We got this for our four-year-and-two-month-old for Christmas. She loves to work on projects together, so this seemed promising, and turned out to be a huge hit. We started in the dining room, but we soon had to move it outside after splattering rock everywhere. She was nuts about it. There's lots of pounding with a little hammer and/or pick until you start to unearth bones, then brush away the bits of rock, hammer more and uncover more bones, etc. She kept running into the house to tell Mommy to come out and see our progress, and she was so excited as we pulled out one bone after another. After that there is the fun of snapping them together to make a pretty cool skeleton, and then painting. Definitely one of the best toys we've come across. I would guess that few four-year-olds would be able to do this alone (it's officially targed at age six and older), but it's great project for working on together. We split the digging into two sessions, interrupted by cold weather. It might be a lot to do at one sitting.
1. LET YOUR CHILD DO IT. It's tempting to take over, especially when you get close to the bones, but don't, the bones are a very sturdy plastic, they won't break unless you bend them...help out only when asked.
2.MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD WEARS THE GLASSES. The little pieces of rock come flying out everywhere. Glasses are a must!..for you as well.
3. DON'T DIG OVER CARPET. The rock kind of makes a mess....not a big mess, but it's much easier to sweep up from a hard floor than a carpet.
4. LET YOUR CHILD DO IT!!! They may need help putting the pieces together, but for the most part, LET THEM DO IT! They will get a great sense of accomplishment from this activity. It is engrossingly fun and satisfying and in the end they have this great model to proudly display. I can't wait to get the other models. Get this!!! Whether they're into dinosaurs or not, they'll love it.

My son is just five--next week, and he loved I Dig! Triceritops. When I say loved, he sat from 8 a.m. until noon without leaving his chair. The look of concentration and amazement on his face was worth way more than $24.99, plus he has a model HE made (big currency to a preschooler) and can put in his room. One last detail, while he likes dinosaurs, I won't say he is obessed with them. The allure was definitely the activity--one he could do with very little intervention from mom and dad. Also worth the price--hearing a 5 year old try to say paleontologoist.Honest reviews on I Dig Triceratops Skeleton Excavation Adventure - Paleontology arts
We bought this for a birthday present after my son played with his. My son and daughter thought this was so much fun. They both couldn't wait to uncover another dinosaur bone. It was something that they could do without me. When it came to assembling the dinosaur they needed a little assistance. It is a good idea to make sure that this is done in a spot that you don't mind getting sandy!!!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for I Dig Triceratops Skeleton Excavation Adventure - Paleontology arts

Buy National Geographic Executive World Map Wall Mural
As some customers have already stated, the mural itself is very nice when you look at the quality.
My wife purchased this for a relative and when it arrived she set out to install with her sister, very craft oriented, and her mother. The instructions recommend professional installation. This is probably the way to go. Other wise in order to get a seamless mural you will be required to make a series of cuts from top to bottom in excess of the height of the mural, over 6 feet. There is a white border around all three panels, with the center panel requiring the removing of the white border. If you wanted a seamless fit, even more cuts would be necessary unless you don't mind overlapping panels, still requiring the two cuts. Difficult to do in the average home and get it right.
My wife requested a refund from the seller Swift Maps and got what I would consider a rude and condescending e-mail in return. Both my wife and I have both been in retail for a long time and the response was the type that a normal place of business would issue corrective action or termination for that kind of interaction with customers. The seller will only take the product back if it is "new resell-able condition", again hard to do once you have taken it out unrolled it and discovered the challenges that lie ahead.
My suggestion is buy it if you are having it installed professionally, or make sure you have the skills and tools necessary for a time consuming installation before ordering. My suggestion overall, skip this product, and certainly this seller. Horrible customer service.
Pros (5 stars):
Beautiful. The day we had it installed we literally spent an hour that night admiring it and looking up different locations. My kids (4 and 2) love it as well. A previous reviewer said that it was too pink. Ours is a rich earth tone.
Educational. In an era where apparently a large percentage of high-school seniors can't locate the United States on a map (let alone any other countries), I look forward to using the map to help ensure my kids don't follow the same race to the bottom.
Practical and useful. Now that I have a large mural on which to plot and visualize (finished dimensions with a frame nearly 7ft x 10.5ft), my master plan for World Domination is now one step nearer to completion. Mwa ha ha ha!
Cons (collectively deduct one star):
Buying it is the easiest (and least expensive) part. Unless you are very experienced in hanging wall paper, I wouldn't try to install this yourself. Not only do you have to trim vertical white borders in order for the three panels to match up to each other, but the three panels were printed slightly askew relative to each other, meaning that you had to align them and trim them while hanging them. You also have to maneuver the panels on the wall to match up city names, borders, latitude and longitude lines, etc. We ended up finding a great installer who charged us $115, though most quotes we got were in the $250-300 range. We also purchased "chair rail" molding to install as a frame around the borders from the local hardware store, which took the look from cool to absolutely fantastic (or as my wife said, 'from nice but a little tacky to awesome and erudite'), but did add extra to the price.
Not absolutely up to date. Our map had information circa 2007, while I think smaller versions of this map are 2009 or 2010. That means if you're looking for the latest population data it won't be here. Ditto for trying to find South Sudan (at least as a separate country). Presumably they sell less of this version than the smaller versions, so don't update is as often.
Not any more detailed than the smaller sizes they sell. This is just a blown up version of the smaller NatGeo map, which means that 1) there is no more detail in terms of cities or other geographic information even though the expanded space could accommodate it; and 2) some of the print is slightly blurry when looking up close, and many of the longitude lines are somewhat pixelated. Not so noticeable as to detract from the overall presentation, but there nonetheless.
In all, a great map that I enjoy looking at and studying every day, and expect to do so for years to come.

If you are looking for a large sophisticated world map, look no further. I used to have the massive DOD 13 foot wide one in my old residence but chose this one for its nicer colors and more workable size. The 8 panel DOD map's detail is great but polar distortions are extreme and colors are too clinical if not grade-schoolish. Its also a little bit too huge for most rooms. The Nat Geo has superbly rich colors and is also highly detailed. Minus the shipping routs, I would say its as detailed as the DOD map. Includes such features as time zones, land/mountain elevations and sea floor/trench deapths and many more, such as airport marker locations. The top corners present the poles in magnificent detail, including which countries claim which areas. The bottom left and right maps show land use patterns and population density of the world. It even has small paragraphs in certain hot spots breaking down the current political situation as far as geography is concerned, as in the case of Taiwan. Everyone who has seen the map says it looks like a piece of art. Because so, I've even decided not to put pins in it. I trimmed the white boarders off which framed it beautifully. Hanging it was what you'd expect from a large 3-panel piece of wall paper. Not easy, but not terrible either. One person could do it if need be. I hung the 8 panel 8 by 13 ft DOD map myself with precise results). Using regular wall paper paste, it took my brother and I about three hours from trimming the boarders to the end. The hardest part was positioning it correctly on the wall which took a number of precise measurements, markers and observations. No rocket science. The top of paper itself was very durable and resistant to wetness so no problem or damage there. Be careful when smoothing out the bubbles on top though when mounting it with certain tools. You can remove small bits of paint as we did if you are too rough. It arrived in perfect condition, rolled up in a compact triangular box, nothing huge. I've renamed my guest room where the map hangs now as the "Atlas" room. It has not only changed the room beyond measure, but has elevated the whole stature and character of my house!Honest reviews on National Geographic Executive World Map Wall Mural
I had this map installed over the coffee service counter in a church that focuses on changing the world through missions and ministry. A pro wallpaper installer hung it and said it was good quality, and easy to hang. That being said, there was a lot of double-cutting, matching and trimming, so hanging it is not for amateurs. The pro cut "V" notches in the white "seam allowance" to be able to match the pieces before double-cutting with a sharp blade. It seemed to have a nice washable surface. The only thing that surprised me about the map was that the colors are MUCH more brilliant than the antiqued-look shown on the website. The colors are pretty saturated, so I painted the walls Benjamin Moore's "Cappuccino Muffin:#1155" and because all of the white border was removed, it looks wonderful! I had a black counter installed under it, and because the ceilings weren't that tall, the bottom of the map got trimmed off, but it made no difference because we still had the "important parts" exposed. Not only is it geographically correct, it is attractive. It created an exciting stir among the visitors and staff as they saw it going up. It has become the "focal point" people are drawn to as they pass the room!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for National Geographic Executive World Map Wall Mural
This world map wall mural is not only a great learning tool, it is simply gorgeous on the wall. The thick, wipeable material has a slight sheen to it, and the mounting was just as described, as easy as mounting wall paper. The scale is just stunning, ours is in a smaller play room, so it takes up an entire wall, but in a large room this map would be beautiful as well. A huge and interesting art statement.Monday, June 23, 2014
Review of Baseball Placemat by Tot Talk
the place mat is wonderful. it will work great for my grandson.
i really do not like filling in a predetermined amount of words. i will not do the reviews again if you insist a "certain " # of words be entered! We all know that stage of toddler-hood. They no longer fit under the snap-in tray but you don't want them to eat on your tablecloth. This is what you get. It is multi purpose: we use it for crafts, there is learning value, it is easy to clean off, and it is hearty. We have the baseball mat and the solar system mat and my son loves both of them. Great buy!

I wasn't sure if I should get my 3 year old son a real toy camera or something more like this. I am SO glad I saved the money and got him this! He plays with it all the time. Its got lots of bells and whistles and keeps him occupied in the car. Only thing I don't like about it is the volume control is a button that HE can press along with all the other buttons. I hate when toys do that. Make the volume something only I can adjust because this can get a bit loud. Not too bad, but annoying at times. Other than that, this is perfect when he wants to play with my camera, I tell him just to get his camera and it does the trick. Doesn't take real pictures, but he doesn't seem to care!Honest reviews on VTech Scroll and Learn Camera

We love this toy. My daughter has spent many hours assembling the various rover variations covered in the accompanying manual. I highly recommend it for the educational component alone; it is also fun. But the real reason I am writing this review is because one of our components just stopped working. I called the company. "Jerry" took my information and said he'd send it right out. When I pointed out that I hadn't paid for the replacement part yet, he responded, "We support our products." This despite the fact that we've had this rover for many months! I mean, a free replacement part... Actually supporting the product... I about fell over...
The rover? Well... it isn't all skittles-and-beer. Read on.
The blue color from the tires on the SNAP rover can bleed into painted surfaces, and quickly too. Even leaving the rover on my kitchen table overnight (a white, pottery barn table) left blue tire-prints in the tabletop finish. It's not merely ON the paint, the color actually bled INTO the painted surface. Not even bleach and a scrubbing sponge have been able to remove the marks. I even tried a fine-grained sanding sponge at the risk of further damaging the finish, but quickly stopped, as that didn't seem to be working either. The SNAP rover's blue tires left similar marks on a white pottery barn craft table that my kids use in their play area.
I'd normally give this kit five stars... but it definitely loses a couple for marring the finish on two very expensive pieces of furniture.
far more than a toy, it's a learning experience that challenges a child, yet does not frustrate. Many levels of activity are possible with snap circuits, and the 8 year old for whom it was purchased loved it, along with his parents and brother and sisters! Superior in every way..

By following picture instruction he can quickly assemble electronic circuitry that actually performs a task. It encourages him to experiment and gives him a sense of accomplishiment.
