These are great for lacing, sorting by shape (triangles, circles, squares), color (green, blue, yellow, red), size (big, little) and number of holes (two, four), patterning etc. These are my choice when doing assessments because I can use these same buttons for a variety of assessment activities instead of having to use multiple items/equipment.

After hearing reports of other products having issues with broken slides, poor samples, etc. I was hoping this would be better. Indeed it is way beyond my expectations...no broken slides, everyone is a very well prepared AND mounted specimen. I did have to take a blower brush to a couple to remove some dust but not a big deal. Box is nice and slides fit well...and they were already in their correct slots...not mixed up. I didn't find any blah slides..in fact many are outstanding and lots of fun to study and view the intricate and beautiful detail. Spent an enjoyable couple of days going through all 100 of them and photographing my favorites. I also noticed they didn't try the easy way out of slippping in a bunch of easy for them, non-interesting to us specimens. There are a couple but even they are OK.
So final recommendation....excellent choice for a sample collection that covers a wide range of fields.

While you can certainly prepare your own slides (and we have), it's hard to get them quite as thin as needed to limit as much detail as possible to a single focal plane... basically this means if you just throw stuff on a blank slide, it's hard to get much of it in focus, as the microscope wants to focus on as narrow a plane as possible.Obviously, it's not an issue with prepared slides; more, there are some pretty interesting choices, though don't expect a wide spectrum of colors from this set. Many are limited to a small pallette (lots of red) but structurally there is a lot of variation.
Glad we purchased.

Buy Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs
When I was thinking of buying this set, I was wondering why it was so expensive. But as I was categorizing all pieces I found out. Many of the items are authentic, miniature sizes. Not to mention that they included quite the assortment of items. For example, a real, Erasermate eraser was included for the 'E' container. A real bell, a real notebook, a metal pan, etc. The only items that were not authentic, were items like a xylophone, that would be impossible or too costly to be made real. These types of items are vinyl.

I am a pre-primary teacher and teach children ages 3-6 and all the children LOVE this toy! We play games where we take out 2 or 3 tubs at a time, identify the objects and place them in a pile. Each child will take turns picking an object and deciding which tub it goes into. If they have difficulty I give them hints such as the beginning letter sounds or for the very young, I'll ask, is this a "Rrrr" rrrrobot, or a "T" Tobot? They think it's funny. When I get these phonics tubs out before you know it I have a crowd of children wanting to play. We have had this toy for YEARS and even the children that have mastered their letter sounds still love to play with it. I always have a teacher monitor it so that we don't end up with lost or missing items. Kids Toy Mini Music Violin + Worldwide free shiping Reviews
We ordered this toy violin for our 21-month old daughter and so far, it has been great.
We have a 6-year-old who has a real violin. Our toddler is a big fan of her sister and her big sister's violin. One of our toddler's first words was "violin" (and even before she was talking, she developed a sign for violin by waving her hand in the motion of moving a bow). We don't allow our toddler to play with her big sister's real $350 instrument. However, our toddler has clearly shown us that she is hungry for an opportunity to be a violinist, too. Recently, our toddler has been intent on making mad dashes into her sister's room so she can grab a wooden toy instrument out of the room she positions the fragile wooden toy (shaped somewhat like a violin) under her chin as if it were a violin. We decided it was time for her to have her "own" violin well, at least a toy version.
As we looked for toy violins for our toddler, we wanted something that seemed "realistic" not only in appearance, but also in function. As we searched, we found most of the ones we saw through Amazon were the kind that were battery operated and would play "pre-programmed songs." We wanted something that our daughter could actually use to "create" her own music. This one seemed like the best option.
When this toy violin came in the mail, our toddler imitated what she had seen her sister do countless times she placed the toy violin under her chin and moved the bow across the strings. She played with it for 2 hours straight the first day.
We were pleased to find that the toy looks a lot like a real violin. It is made of plastic that looks like wood. It also has strings and a bow like a real violin. It is as real as it gets without being real.
We have only had it about a week, but it has survived being played quite roughly by our toddler (sometimes she moves the bow across the strings, but sometimes she bangs on the strings with the bow); it has also survived having our toddler use it as a stepping stool to look out the window; our toddler also used the bow to wack various things around the house, apparently testing to to see what noises would result. We can see a couple of places where the plastic has been damaged by our daughter, but overall, I would say that's not bad for what it has been through all ready. I think the price was around $30, so I would say we've just about got $30 worth of good out of it already.
Our older daughter, who actually plays violin, demonstrated to me how the toy can really be played it is just slightly bigger than her real 1/10th size violin. After hearing our 6-year-old violinist play one song on it, her dad (who does Suzuki violin with her) insisted she stick to her real violin for playing songs the strings are not "tuned" like those on a real violin and he did not want using the toy to interfere with her developing her sensitivity for tone, pitch (I am not a musician but hopefully you get what I mean).
With that said, remember that this is a TOY violin, and is not intended to substitute for a real one. As far as toys go, it is a great toy!
If you, like us have an active toddler who wants to be a violinist like big sister or brother, this is a great TOY that can help him/her feel special! Note, the description of the violin indicates that it would be a great gift for a child aged 5 or older. I am a little surprised by that as it is commonly recommended for children to start learning how to play violin around the ages of 3 to 5. Our oldest daughter started taking violin lessons and playing a real violin shortly after she turned 4. If you are serious about having your child play violin and are looking to buy this TOY as a cheap alternative to a "real instrument," we don't recommend going that route! Once our toddler is responsible enough to handle a real instrument/ grasp the concepts required for starting to learn to play violin, we will put this toy away (assuming it survives that long) and give her a real instrument.
This toy shipped from China free of charge. It said it could take up to a month or so, but came in a couple of weeks.
Update: I increased my review to three stars because of the prompt help of the people who sell this violin to resolve the situation. I'm still not impressed with it but if you get an undamaged one you may be satisfied.

we bought this item for our 2 year old boy. This is great and attends all the expectations. I don't get where the great reviews are coming from. I bought this for my three year old daughter's birthday and it showed up from China packed in nothing but thin bubble wrap. The box was flattened! And of course it was damaged, but beyond that, it doesn't appear that you can adjust the pegs to tighten the strings (they are too loose as is). The feel is VERY cheap. I had a super cheap one in the 70s that had adjustable pegs. Overall, I'd give it two, maybe three stars if it arrived safely and well packed but as is I would love to give it zero stars accounting for the absurdly poor packing job. Like others, I found the packaging very substandard. It came in a bag! From China! Are you kidding me? It was completely trashed. It's a wonder the violin made it in one piece. This toy is almost impossible for a small child to get any sound out of it at all. Must position bow "just so," and little hands can't do it. Day two, my grandson dropped it on tile and it broke it. Best Teach Your Child to Count to 10, Math & Logic #1, ChildUp Early Deals
These cards are amazing! When I received these I was very amazed to find that they were filled with so many learning ideas. Not only are these cards set up to help you learn your numbers, but as a parent you also have the opportunity to use them in so many different ways. We used both of these sets with my youngest daughter who is 3.5. We started with the first set and once she started better recognizing the numbers from 1-10, we moved on to try the 11-20 cards as well. She is still struggling with these but she is catching on. What she loves is the fact that the cards themselves are made for kids her age. With vibrant colors and fun animals, she can relate and she enjoys counting the animals that were on each of the cards.
I started being the one who would pick each set of cards within the pack, but I quickly found that she was saying that she wanted to do Math at night like her big sister and that she wanted to be the one to choose what cards we were using as well.
I have seen a marked improvement in both number recognition as well as comprehension through using these cards and I have to say that anyone that is looking for a set of cards that will assist with their own child's math skills, you should look no further than these cards.
How I Tested the Cards?
I started with the first pack of the cards with Ben by getting him to be familiarised with the animals on the farm, followed by the number of animals (from 1 to 10) and I then asked him what are the animals for the cards I picked and the number of animals on the card picked.
As of end of August, he has yet to master the numbering part but he does answer quickly when it comes to naming the animals on the cards.
I would definitely continue using this as I feel there is much more potential for this cards on Ben.
What's good?
* I like that I can teach Ben on counting from 0 to 10.
* I like that the cards come with both sides showing different designs (one showing the animals, the other side showing the animal with the number)
* I also like that I can teach my child the different types of animals.
Room for improvement?
* I would prefer if the cards are thicker. It somehow felt thin and fragile and I was worried it gets crumpled easily.
* I would prefer if there is just a standard sheet of paper for the Parent's Cards so that I can read it at once (it also reduce paper wastage).
These cards are made for parents and children to use together, creating an interactive learning environment. I found the Parent Cards to be particularly detailed and useful! They provide parents with background information in order for them to understand how their child learns and more. The cards guide the parent through very specific questioning techniques they can use on their children in order to help their learning throughout the use of the Learning Cards Set. They also walk the parents through very specific lessons so that they can be their child's teacher when using the learning cards. The lessons are detailed right down to specific dialogue that can occur in order to really focus the child's learning.
As a former Kindergarten teacher, I highly recommend these learning cards as they help young children develop some key early learning skills such as:
Math and logic skills
Learning and cognitive skills
Listening and memory skills
Attention and concentration skills
Language and social skills
We will definitely be using these cards this summer as I prepare my son to enter Junior Kindergarten! What a fabulous resource for parent and child!

We got these for a camping trip and they were a big hit with our kids! I like that the light only has the two simple on/off functions, rather than flashing as well (which drives me crazy). The elastic on the headlights were a bit big for being headlamps for kids, but if adjusted as far as they could go they fit the heads of our 3 & 4 yr olds just fine. First...I am NOT a professional microscope user. I can only review this from what I needed and the price point I was willing to spend. I build scale models out of brass, copper, and aluminum. Some of the detail that I as striving for is very fine. I was using one of those lighted magnifiers on a boom, but even those weren't even strong enough for the detail I am striving for. Hence...the search for a microscope.I bought this particular model with the florescent light ring. Since I am working with reflective metals, I felt the LED lights were going to be too bright. My shop already has florescent lights, so I thought it would be best to go with the florescent ring light.
I called the sales department with a few questions (one being the light choice which the salesman agreed with my logic) and I received satisfactory answers to everything. I also had an idea of the answers and he actually just reaffirmed that I was making the correct choice.
I used the microscope for the first time this weekend, soldering some parts together that the amount of solder used is crucial so as not to blob it. The microscope worked perfectly for the task. I can now see what I am doing!
I was surprised how heavy this thing is and how well built it feels. I was really wondering about the quality because I saw various other microscopes costing well over double for what I paid for this.
As a caveat...I have no idea how this would compare to something that costs $2000, but for me and my $500 budget, it works perfectly. I bought the trinocular version because I wanted the capability to add a camera to the unit at a later date.

Review of Let's Go Shopping Activity Deck with Erasable Pen
I bought this for my 3yr old son because he is not that great of a shopper and we find ourselves with melt downs or wild behavior in the grocery store. I learned to bring something for him that is either new or hasn't seen in a long time with us to do n the cart. It helps so much! This activity mat not only is educational but lets him be part of the shopping as well. With evry activity we do it at the store as well. For example one page is a picture of a store and then asks if the child can circle all the green items. When he is done we then find all the green items in the lane we are in. I love it and would buy more bloom products! Thanks for this great invention and line of educational toys!

Okay, so this is one of the coolest things out there for your kids to play with while in the car, shopping cart or really anywhere. This is a dry erase activity tablet. There are so many fun things for your preschooler to 1st grader to do. You could decorate pastries, make a shopping list and many other things. Other great points about this item include a pen and pad tether. On one tether is a dry erase pen and on the other is a velcro cuff that you can put around the child's hand or shopping cart handle. My only problem with this item is that the pen was dry. I thought it was a fluke but I returned the first tablet and got a second one only to find that pen also dry. In the end I decided I liked the product enough so I bought a new marker for it. These cards are great. They have hints and suggestions for the adults on the reverse side. The images are not always the best options. The cards are not as durable as they say. My daughter has had these cards since she was born, I think, or shortly after. She has learned so many words from them! I love that the reverse side has hints for the parents of things to say while showing your child the cards, they also have translations of the word into chinese, hebrew, russian, french, spanish, and german all on each card! The photos are clear and colorful, and the sets includes blank cards to add your own pictures. We added a picture of me for "Mommy" and Dad too! She's 19 months old now and she asks for the cards frequently.
