I gave this to my 5-year old niece. She was super excited and had seen these in the mall. The bear requires some sewing with a kid-friendly needle and she was too young to do this on her own. But it was a really nice activity for us to do together. We got 2 hours of bonding and then she got a really sweet bear. Recommended.

My 6-year old love DIY craft projects and we worked on this together as a gift for her little sister. Both girls love the final product! Adult help is most likely needed to stuff the bear properly and with the closure stitches.

Discount 3B Scientific Deluxe 8-part brain

3B Scientific makes good products, but some of them are quite expensive and this brain certainly falls in this category. It has a lot of detail and is worth the money for serious neuroanatomical purposes. In fact, 3B has even more detailed brains including a 5 piece brain that comes with a standard skull or a more elaborately labelled one. This particular brain does not fit in any of the skulls made by this company, which might be a consideration.

If you are a general anatomy student, you may find that the LWW Budget Brain with Arteries Model C20C meets all of your needs for a LOT less money. This brain has a lot of detail, it's rugged and it is color coded. As a bonus, it also shows the arteries.

Kidz Lab T Rex Dino Dig Excavation Kit Review

I got this for my nephew, cause, as all little kids are, he's totally into dinosaurs. LOVES them. He's always digging for fossils, and every rock he finds, is a fossil (altho he knows they're really not). Anyhow, i got him this, cause as a budding paleontologist, he has to start somewhere. He opened it as his birthday present and was super excited about it. He started "digging" out the dino with his mom, but when dad got there wanted to finish with him. He dug out all the bones and assembled them and has since told me that next he wants triceratops. He has his fully assembled dinosaur on display in his room. He is very proud of it. And I will get him the triceratops for xmas.

If you have a budding paleontologist, or even just a kid that loves dinos, i recommend this. My nephew got great enjoyment from it, and therefor i got great enjoyment from it.

The box says "8" years i believe, my nephew is five. His use of the product was closely monitored by an adult, and the end product is an incredibly cute, accurate (albeit small) soft flexible reproduction of a t-rex

excellent information but blurry diagrams. patients enjoy the large amount of information contained on these sheets. diagrams and text would be easier to make out if the printing was more clear.

Best First Grade LeapPad Book: Amazing Bible Stories Deals

My 4 year old son loves this book. He has 8 books for his Leap Pad, and this is his favorite. We take this book with his Leap Pad to church, plug in his head phones, and he is entertained (and learning!) through the whole service. The colorful illustrations have many embedded sounds and my son spends hours putting his pen on all the pictures to hear their captions and songs. There are 7 Old Testament Bible stories that are kid favorites, including David & Goliath and Noah's Ark. At the end of the book, there is a fun "Wheel of Fortune" type game that asks kids to match the people from the various stories with events (don't forget there is also a game on each page). And most importantly, the stories themselves are Biblically accurate. If you child is learning Bible stores for the first time or already knows them well, s/he will thoroughly enjoy this book.

My 4 year old has the zondervan NIrV version of this bible, so when I saw they made it into a leap pad game, with all his favorite old Testament stories (Adam and eve, Noah and the ark, Moses, Joseph and the well, David and Goliath, Jonah and the big fish), we just had to get it for Christmas. It has great games on each page teaching them the true false concept, asking questions like: "Is it true that Jonah wanted to go to Ninevah? Yes or no?" The last page is a trivia game about all the stories, and it is set up like the game Hollywood Squares. I hope they make a new testament version!!!

I bought it as a gift for my almost 3-year-old he loves it and it's not too "annoying" of a sound compared to other noisy toys (like whistles!) I gave a four was because the 2 teeny screws on the sides came out after he purposely tried to break it, but I was able to screw them back in and he hasn't taken it apart again since he was so sad it broke

I bought this set for my 8-year-old brother. He wanted to dig up the dinosaur right away!

The tool included is plastic and about as sharp as a plastic butter knife, so your child should be safe, which was my main concern.

The only downside to this set is it is very dusty. Also, you put together the dinosaur with the provided wax, which is definitely an adult supervision task.

Wow does this make a mess, but your kids will love it! Have them do it on top of a large cookie sheet to contain the mess. It will keep them amused for hours "digging for bones"..a great indoor winter project!

Things can get a little dusty in the process, so I would recommend a tray or large towel to contain the clay. Great toy educational and kept him busy for a couple of hours.

I was not disappointed in this grasping toy from Melissa and Doug. Initially I was somewhat concerned about pinched fingers getting caught in joints or bands for hair to get caught in, but we have had no such issues. The dinosaur is very well constructed and there is little to no possibility of pinches. My daughter is easily able to twist and manipulate the individual segments and has remained amused by this toy over the past two months. There have been no issues with chipping paint or broken pieces (this is a toy that stays in her play pen so its survived quite a few tosses onto the hardwood floors).

I recently purchased this toy for my 8 month old son. He has other Melissa & Doug toys that he loves and I was very excited to give him this new toy. When it arrived I was very pleased with the design, bright colors and I was sure he would love it. The first time I gave it to him he was thrilled!!! He loved holding it by the neck and the tail, swinging it around and putting the feet in his mouth. I was very pleased with my purchase and knew that he would get lots of use out of it. Then to my horror I realized that his mouth was full of paint chips!!! He has put the feet in his mouth a couple of times for under a minute total, but that was enough to soften the paint and cause it to start chipping. After taking it away from him I closely examined the toy and discovered that I could remove large chunks by rubbing my fingernail lightly over the surface. I immediately returned the toy for a refund. When packaging this item for return I also realized that the package states that this toy is for 1+ years. The Amazon listing states that it is for 6 months and up. Over all I would not recommend this toy for any young child due to the paint issue, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

this toy is ok. bigger then i expected and the colors are not as bright (it actually is only painted on front/ backnot edges). it is solid construction and my child loves to chew on it. the problem is that his fingers get pinched in the bends all the time! i thought it was just himbeing that he is 6 mos but my niece is 13 mos and the same thing happens to her. i would say this toy is meant for preschoolersdefinitely not babies!

I have a 3yo who loves dogs so I was really excited to get it and she how she reacted to it! She loves, loves, loves the fact that the "pen" is a dog!

We've played with it for hours already! I like that the books teach a wide variety of things such as letters, colors, shapes, and numbers.

We will definitely keep using this as a great learning tool for reading!

It gives them active control over a story and allows them to learn to read by association. I don't know that learning to read based on this one toy will happen over night, but they are learning to see how words are spelled and then sounded not always in the ways they thought they would.

But for the kids, this is just plain fun they love stories and this occupies their time and the laugh at the silly pictures and sounds.

This is a wonderful product! It is difficult to get my niece to engage in any sort of learning activities. This kit held her interest for 1.5 hrs. I like how the pen offers encouraging feedback. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I got this toy for a child to learn shapes. It is a book that comes with a little dog stylus. It worked well in the beginning, and you touch the dot next to the shape getting a verbal response if correct or incorrect. However, as soon as the stylus bottom was chewed on a little bit by the child it ceased to work. The voice became garbled and it accurately identified incorrect things. I was surprised at how un-durable the product was with a child. However, the concept is very good and it is very educational. Perhaps some tweaks could be made to the design to make it stronger for children's use.

I find that children 6 and up enjoy it the most, but I do have some younger kiddos that will try it out too(with some help). The kids find it challenging, yet fun enough that they don't give up. This game stays on the coffee table at our farm house. It is constantly picked up and played by family and visitors. It is also my "go-to" gift for people that are in the hospital or are recovering from surgery, sickness, or something of the like. All you need to be able to do is move your fingers and you are able to play! You simply lay out a pattern card and say, "Go!". The person able to manipulate the colored marbles into the same pattern as the card wins. Lots of laughter follows and it is extremely addictive! The more you play, the better you get.

My wife and I both loved Zaner Bloser pens while we were growing up. She brought them up a few weeks ago, so I looked up Zaner Bloser online. They are still in business, but do not sell the pens. I was disappointed, but decided to check Amazon.com. I was excited to see that the pens are still available. This was the best deal, so I ordered a three pack. We both thought they were very reasonably priced. They arrived quickly and in good shape. (To our surprise they all came with a refill ink cartridge!!) They feel just as good as we both remembered them. Great purchase experience!
