I wasn't sure how this product would be, as it's always tough for me to purchase things over the internet. However, I am pleasantly surprised with this learning mat. My toddler is currently enrolled in daycare and preschool, however within the next few months I anticipate staying home with her so I wanted to continue with some of the structure she is currently used to. I looked around at several circle time mats, and could not find anything under $100. With the low price of this product, I was a little unsure of what to expect, espeically since the description does not list the material this is made out of. The learning mat is made out of a strong, thick plastic material. I like that because it will be easy to clean and keep sanitized. It folds up easily for storage, or you can leave it out for all day use. It comes with a few cute games for toddlers to play. The colors are vibrant, and I do like how the mat has numbers, shapes, and colors. My only suggestion for the manufacturer would be to add letters as well. My daughter sat on the mat and said "Where is the Z?" (her name is Zoe, so she is always looking for the letter Z). With only 10 spaces on the mat, I am sure it would be difficult to add 26 letters to it, though. The backside of this mat is just a plain yellow color, so perhaps the manufacturer could add the alphabet to the back of the mat? This mat will definitely hold up for home use, even with a few kids. I find the size and durability to be great for home use. If you have a home daycare or preschool and have numerous kids needing to play circle time, I would recommend investing in a circle rug, which would hold up better for that use. However, for home use with 5 kids or less I think this product is perfect!

This toy is smaller than we anticipated. It is really adorable, and we have enjoyed playing with it, but think that the tiny pieces will not be the greatest yet for our grandchildren. The 7 year old will probably do fine with it, but the 4 year old will not be able to play with these little connectors. The little pieces will be easily lost, so will keep it back as a special toy with supervision.

My granddaughter is 3 years old. She wants to play drums. This set is well worth the price. The only thing that is missing is a high hat. She wants to have cymbals so I will be getting her a high hat. Other than that, this set is a great way to get kids into music. I know she will enjoy this for a long time. Nice quality.

Our little grandson is finally crawling forward (instead of his usual backward propulsion) to catch the little doggies tail! His three year old sister pulls and he crawls great fun for the siblings, while the doting parents and grandparents cheer them both on. All Brio products are soooo very durable!

Among all the ride-ons and battery-powered toys at my granddaughter's first birthday party, this was the biggest hit. When it arrived, I was surprised that it was smaller than I expected (even though I'd read the description), but it was the perfect size for a 1-year-old -and very popular with her older toddler cousins, as well. It ended up covered with cake frosting and ice cream, but we stuck it under the faucet and it looked as good as ever. A really nice, simple toy!

The little dog is well balanced,with a beautiful finish that resists chipping. The head turns, the ears can be moved and the tail boinged. The colors attract attention, very well made and babies love this dachshund. Simple and well designed, this one can move on to be used in the older childs play too. Elegant.

I handed the wrapped package to my grandson (1) and he ripped it open. We broke it open from the packaging, which was not hard, and then gave it to him. He dashed across the floor with the frog right behind. Then his older brother (3) decided he would like it. So they yelled and screamed for possession of the toy. Finally, we promised the older boy that he could have one, too.

Peace was restored in the house. The frog is really cute, almost indestructible, and just appropriate for the age group. Just plan on getting two of them if you have two toddler-age kids.

My 1 year old little boy thinks that this is the best toy ever. As soon as he started walking he started pulling this thing all over the house with him. He discovered that if he flips it over onto its back that he can run with it. The string was eaten off by our dog, but it was an easy fix with some rope from the hardware store.

My daughter got this as an early Christmas present from her grandmom, and she's been having so much fun running through the house pulling the frog behind her. I really think this is a durable, well made gift that is great for a toddler. I expect it will last longer than her intrest in it-which given the plastic crap that is out there is a very good thing!

I got this book along with the Leapfrog Tag Reading System for my three-year-old daughter. I thought it would help her learn words (or names) and its phonic sounds (I am not a native English speaker). I think it is a good book for kids who just start to learn words.

The downside of the book is that it sounds words only if they are a part of "I spy..." sentences. There are a lot of things in the I SPY pictures but everything has only some kinds of music (or effect) sounds, not names, except those in the sentences. So, my daughter only can learn names and phonics about three or four for each picture unless I teach her the names of objects personally.

Maybe, English-speak families do not understand its necessity but I wish the book has more record for objects' names. It would be a lot easier for her to learn names of things.

We got the Tag reader for our 3 year old for Christmas last year and it is one of the best things we've gotten her! She absolutely loves it! We've gotten her several fun books. I wanted to go away from the princess books so I thought I'd try this one. It is fine, but she got bored with it extremely fast, it has you look for the same stuff every time, so she knows exactly what to do and just doesn't use this one like she does her others, which is unfortunate because she loves the look and find books. I would not get this one again if I had the chance.

We have several Tag books but this one really captivates my child. My child was 4 when I bought it and she still plays with it at 5. It really captivates her and really develops imagination and "focus" skills. If there is one Tag book to buy, this is the one.

I looked for the math and spelling questions in the games as in other V Flash software but here the games are for fun only.There are no games in the educational part of this software as far as I can see.I would rate it 5 stars if it were like the other games with the math and spelling questions and no way I would have ordered this if I had known the games were just for fun.This product is for making money.The Incredibles had good educational questions as part of the games.

Playskool Alphie Booster Pack - Animals Reviews

I bought Alphie for my Granddaughter for Christmas from Amazon. I also bought her the numbers and letters booster packs. I did not buy the Animal booster pack because of the price. It did not make sense to me that the other booster packs were about $10 and this one 3 times that. I found the Animal booster pack off line in a store and paid the same price that the other 2 are selling for. My Granddaughter loves her Alphie. It goes everywhere with her. Amazon, do a price check on the Animal Booster pack! Why are you charging SO much for it?

This is the best card pack for the Alfie in my opinion. It teaches all about different animals' habitats, body parts, sounds, and so much more. That being said, you can buy this for around $10 at stores, which is where I got mine because I won't pay 3 times that if I don't have to.

These cards are great, and the animal pack is hard to find. My 4 yr old loves to play with her Alphie, but when her 2 yr old sister gets her hands on these cards, I find myself wishing they were a little less flimsy. She hasn't torn them or anything (yet!) but she has certainly bent and creased many of them. I guess I wish they were a bendable plastic or something. Anyhow, it's still a wonderful product that I highly recommend if you have Alphie for your preschooler. The case they come with is also VERY handy for storing them if you have multiple sets of booster packs, since only one pack of cards fits in Alphie's back.

This kit comes with everything that one would need to simulate the Archaeology experience. When you open the box you have a slab of rock that you then chisel to find the bones. Uncovering the bones took my 8 year old daughter about 6 hours. When she was finished we washed the bones and put the skeleton together. She was so excited!! Awesome gift. Highly recommend.

My kids in music class love to use this, though if you are looking for a strict guiro sound, this adds a lot of rattle and shake. If you want to have both, this is a great one to order and I like that can be used both ways. It is also durable since my 3-5 year olds have slippery hands, so the plastic is a plus. It has a decent sound though it doesn't resonate as a wooden one would and there are no slits in the sides for sound amplification. Overall, for the price, this was a great product.

We have had the Brilliant Basics Musical Pop-tivity Table for a few months now and we love it. My son loves to stand and play with it and it keeps him occupied for much longer than the average toy. The table is stable enough for my 25 pound eight month old to pull himself up on without it tipping over. I find the music to be annoying, but the switch is hidden under the table, so we just don't turn it on. The activities on the toy keep him busy enough without the music anyway. Overall, a fantastic buy!

My daughter enjoyed this a lot -it's the simplest of the table toys and it's small enough to take to the park and visiting by just putting it in the trunk of the car. Don't have to take the legs off. It's light and compact which for me was a plus because we don't have lots of space. Because it is light, it's not going to be good with a baby who is not steady on their feet to use alone -parent has to hold it steady. We used it on a carpet so it would not slide around. My SIL liked it so much I got it for my niece too. Their baby is #3 so she also appreciate saving space.
