I purchased these to use with my kindergartners. The blocks are a little smaller than expected, but I don't think that matters too much. I thought they would be inch cubes, but they are 2 centimeters. I especially like the cards with 3D structures that my students must do some thinking about to build. The description says there are 18 cards, but really there are 33.

My 6 year old son with autism and neurotypical 4 year old sister have a great time playing with this. It helps establish pattern recognition, counting along with learning what some, none and all are in a tactile way. We have owned this set for just over 3 months and we come up with more ways to play with it all the time.

I really wanted my son to have this set, but...The colors of the cubes don't match the activity cards, not even close! the point of this set is mute if the colors are soo off from the activity cards. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

My 3 year old LOVES these cubes! She enjoys building the enclosed designs and just stacking the blocks in her own pattern. It's been a wonderful addition to our homeschooling time. She is occupied for a lengthy bit of time which frees me up to teach big brother's challenging subjects! Love these!!

This product is great. My twin 5 year old boys loved it. They sat all evening doing the experiments from the cards that come in the box. The cards show step by step what they are to do. Even when their Grandpa wasn't there they could still do the different techniques that were on the card. This is a great teaching tool.

This makes a great starter set for introducing kids to magnets! It has a lot of fun pieces to do lots of different experiments. It also comes with 14 experiment cards that give you a lot of fun ideas and really help bring the fun of magnets to life. One experiment my 3.5 year old loves to play is rubber-banding the magnet bar to the top of his Tonka car and "pushing" it along the table using another magnet. He gets to see it move without touching it while making a game out of it with his cars. The set also comes with some foam pieces to make boats you can push through the water, in a bath or in a bowl. There are a bunch of washers and nuts you can stack or hang off of the wand and form some neat structures. My kids love to use the magnet balls too. We play a game of roll and catch with them using the wand. A compass comes with the set, but it's a little small and made fairly cheap to get much use out of. We have a larger compass and we use that instead. The variety of the pieces and experiment cards make this set a great value and fun experience for kids!

I bought this for my 5-year old daughter for Christmas and she really enjoys playing with all the magnets. There are some activity/experiment cards which we have been using. The cards help give unmderstanding about how and why magnets work. She is facinated by all the included magnets and can spend quite a bit of time playing while learning about cause & effect. This is a great product. MY daughter is almost 3, at her preschool they have a several sets similar to this one. I had been looking for something comprable to the ones she had at school. The price on this is amazing. I was originally looking on Lakeshore and I would have had to pay double. This toy will be for her to begin experimenting with magnets and I think its a great starter set. I plan to hide magnetic objects in a bin covered with rice or whatever and let her seek the items out, should provide many fun moments.

This is a really wonderful game for anyone who needs to learn or brush up on their multiplication facts. Each game is short (about 5-10 minutes) which means you can play when you have a few minutes, but it's also fun to play for an hour. We all really enjoy and USE this card game a lot (my children ask for it all the time!)

My 9 yo's speed is improving and my 6 year old has already learned his 2, 3, and 5 tables from playing. Can't beat that!

I bought these this weekend at a homeschool conference where I got to meet the creator (she was very nice). I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old and they are both addicted after just one day of playing. I like the fact that my children can enjoy learning through play. My youngest son loves yelling speed and making us pick up the extra cards.

The only improvement I would make in this set is maybe put a little bit more glue on the case that hold the individual cards. They seem to be separating on the edge. All in all not a big deal though :) Thanks a ton for SPEED!

Laura (8 year old) was laughing and hooting when she beat me at the speed card game. It is really fun, fast paced and she is mastering her multiplication facts without even realizing it! The cards are a great reward after finishing our math work book for the day. The simplicity of the game makes it that much easier to play and so much tougher to master! It is a terrific tool! To give a little background, my son is 4.5. However, he is more advance in reading, so even though he was under the age requirement, Level 1 was a great fit for him. He did come across words that he didn't recognize, such as par and jot, but this opened the door for us to discuss new words and their meaning. At this time, he doesn't get a lot done in a minute, but there is no set goal that he is required to reach. This allows him to challenge himself by trying to beat his previous record. Being the perfectionist that he is, there are times that he gets frustrated with himself for not doing better than his previous score or selecting the wrong letter. As we always do, we just remind him that its ok if you make mistakes and to just have fun.

So, here is my honest opinion:

Simple to Use Everything you need is right on the front. A switch for changing levels and two buttons for selecting words.

Grows with the Child It offers 3 different levels that increase the length of words as well as difficulty (incorporating blends).

Portable Entertainment It is small and you can take it just about anywhere. It would make a great addition to your travel game collection.

Fun for ALL Ages After the boy went to bed, my husband and I had fun competing against each other to see who could build the most words correctly in 60 seconds.

Overall, this is a great little product. I give it my full recommendation. Parents have countless options for their kids in the "mindless games" category. This is a fun, affordable game that also works the brain.

I bought this for my 8 year old son (who has dyslexia) to help him with his spelling and reading. He has only used it a few times and his biggest issue is that the letter are hard to read. Since he has such a tough time reading the letters, his interest in it is limited at best. I have tried it myself, and the letters are hard to read (black on dark gray background. There is no back light or brightness adjustment on it either.

This would be a much more useful learn to read/spell machine if it spoke the word you were trying to make. That would make it less fun for adults (of course you can turn the sound off), but as it is, it is more like a guessing, rather than learning, game for my son.

My daughter got one for her birthday and so I had to test this thing out lol. It has so many uses so it will definitely pay for itself in the long run. I watch kids a lot and let's face it technology has become part of our lil one's lives. I have tons of movies on my phone so this works well with kids holding it cause they drop things. It is soft and plush yet firm enough to sit in pretty much any position on your lap. I know some people complain about the plastic screen but if you are watching a movie your screen isn't hard to see. Now playing a game it's awkward to hold. This woogie comes with an app you can download that has a face that matches your woogie. Your toddler might like the face cause you can poke it shake it tickle it and the woogie laughs and says things. You can also take woogie on adventures in the app so the older kids can play too might have to take the phone out to play some games but all in all good product. I have a galaxy s4 and it fits great. Only one thing I wish this product has was a spot to put headphones. Oh and if you don't put it in or take it out your toddler won't figure it out so fast lol.

Adorable, but the app that is to be used in conjunction with this product is very glitchy. Not a lot for kids to do on the app anyways. The clear plastic that covers the screen is great for protection but a bit big and interferes with the functionality of the touchscreen. Overall, boxed it back up and will be selling it on Ebay because the return shipping was more that the toy itself.

Fee is a great way to keep young children entertained and protect your IPhone 5! My granddaughter is a year old and dinner in a restaurant sometimes goes a little long for her. This is a good toy and my son is having with it, however, when you click the alligator's mouth the shapes barely pop up. So, it is frustrating to get them out. Instead you have to dump them out. My son does like it, but gets a little frustrated with getting them out.

The wood has a glossy finish and color is a deeper red than in the photo. The color of the wheels are also a brighter yellow than the photo and more lustrous looking. I like that it has rubber trim on the wheels to go easy on the floors. It came in a box with clear glassine on the top and sides which proudly displays the toy (securely fastened in its upright position). It is smaller than other pull toys I've seen, but the quality appears top notch. I am giving it as a gift for a one-year old, which the toy seems the perfect size for a new walker or a toddler.

This box is a lot more descriptive than the Original box it has words like 'corduroy' and 'champagne', so I think it's a bit more limited. There are definitely enough pronouns and conjunctions to make coherent sentences though. The whole box takes up the entire surface of a regular sized freezer. Never had an issue with them falling off, even when slamming fridge door.

I purchased this game for $24.99 before email discount directly from the Leapfrog website for my grandson's 4th birthday. He has been playing games on the computer at school, laptop at home and my iphone,so we thought he was ready for a system he could play on his own. I thought this game would help teach him how to write and draw. He can already recognize his letters and numbers. He stayed home sick from pre-K today and his mom said he was content to play this game for a good portion of the day. He chose to play Mr. Pencil over Toy Story 3 and Dora! Great gaming system for a preschooler. Would recommend you sign up on the Leapfrog website to get their emails so you can take advantage of their email discounts, too.

We got the new Leapster Explorer for our 3 year old for his birthday. I know he is a little young, but he always wanted to play vidoe games at the same time as his 5 year old brother, and it had just been released. This was one of the 2 initial games I bought for him, and what a good choice it was. He has always liked to color and draw and has always seemed to be more deliberate when he is creating than his older brother. Let me tell you this was one of the best purchases I ever made. He will sit and play with this game for quite a while, which is out of character for him unless he is truly engaged. This game focuses on repairing the town with Mr. Pencil and teaches kids to draw, beginning with straight lines, etc. I would really recommed this title as one of the first you get for younger kids with the Leapster Explorer, especially if they like to color. It's a really good first step, as it requires no letter or number recognition (reading/math) so you can start them really young, but it does progress into those areas.

I have played this game to check out what my son would be playing and I can see why he gets frustrated. The game freezes for 30 seconds at times (Yes, I actually timed it)and it can be too sensitive for someone learning to write. I have watched my son try to draw on the dotted line and if he barely gets off the line it makes him start the entire drawing over. Love the game idea and really like what it teaches but it needs some improvements.

My son is pretty advancd for his age and recently received the Leapster Explorer for his 3rd birthday. It's literally the only game he plays! It's a super cute game that lets the kids "fix" the town after a tornado and storm come through and destroy everything. Your child "fixes" each area of the town (town hall, the park, race track, clock tower, library, etc) by drawing the needed shapes, letters, numbers, or coloring in different items (on this one they are told to choose a specified color from the color wheel then color in an item completely). The game doesn't allow a sloppy letter/shape, coloring job to pass (well not really "pass" but i dont know how else to explain it.) It will tell the child to either "keep the stylus on the screen" or to "stay close to the dotted line" which ever the issue was. therefore the child knows IMMEDIATELY what they did wrong and how to fix it. It is a little forgiving on some things (for instance you can draw a circle on the hexagon shape and it'll pass) which is to be expected since some kids are still very young. The voices can be kind of annoying to my ears but my son loves them :) My only complaint so far is that since my son is predominantly left handed, his left hand touches the screen a lot while he's drawing or coloring... which the game recognizes as him "being off the dotted line" which frustrates him when he knows that he IS on the dotted line, therefore i have to kind of hold his hand up a little or tilt the Explorer a little so his hand isn't touching. But that is so rare that it isnt a huge complaint at all. OH and after the child "fixes" a certain part of the town they can go back into it and it is a interactive coloring page. There is also an "art museum" (i think that's what it's called) that is a blank page and they can pick any tool (pencil, pen, paint, etc), color (primary and secondary), erasers, stamps, patterns, etc on it. He really enjoys that too. The last time he got into the game i also noticed that there are "lessons" that you can go into instead of the game itself. In there your child can learn to write any upper or lower case letter, shape (which by the way include square, rectangle, two types of triangles, a circle, an oval, a hexagon, vertical/horizontal/diaganol lines, etc), and i think they can learn about colors too. Anyways to sum it up: IT ROCKS!!!!!

Please do not purchase this item if your child is left-handed. As it is not left-handed friendly!!!! It forces the child to write as a right-hander. The concepts are great though! I called them. I hope they will make the appropriate changes

I work for the Building & Grounds crew at the local community college and my job is cleaning all the chalk boards and dry erase boards. I had been using the water and sponge method too before I found these cloths and I will never go back to the water and sponge. Not only is the cloth faster, but it still gets the job done and is better for the boards. I have been using the Chalkboard Cloth for YEARS and will never use a sponge and water again to clean my chalkboards. This cloth both conditions and gets rid of chalk dust. The cloth will last for over a year as long as you take care of it!

As a teacher, my worst fear is to have a chalkboard that you cannot write on. When you use water to clean a board, it absorbs the water and distorts it after awhile. After you erase the chalk, it leaves dust everywhere. Swiping it with this takes that all away and makes it nice and dark again. It won't restore an old board, but it cleans and keeps the board like new.

Got this for my 15-month old toddler. She'll push and pull it along, but it doesn't roll very well on hardwood floors. Not sure if it's the angle she's using, or if it's the wheels themselves -sometimes they seem to just slide instead of roll. Works better outdoors on asphalt or sidewalk. She likes the "clack clack" sound of the wood butterflies, and giggles when the toy is moving. She's dropped it a couple of times, and nary a scratch on our floors OR the toy. Very durable. I just wished the wheels rolled better.

Please be aware that I only really got to see this product after it was opened by the little girl I bought it for and can't speak to it's long term durability. I love Hape toys and really love the bright colors and simple design of this push and pull. I was just a little worried that the stick, which comes in two pieces and screws together might not be sturdy enough to last a long time. However, I used to work in a toy store where similar Hape toys were sold and they seem to stand up pretty well to the frequent use they got from our little customers.
