3B Scientific makes good products, but some of them are quite expensive and this brain certainly falls in this category. It has a lot of detail and is worth the money for serious neuroanatomical purposes. In fact, 3B has even more detailed brains including a 5 piece brain that comes with a standard skull or a more elaborately labelled one. This particular brain does not fit in any of the skulls made by this company, which might be a consideration.

If you are a general anatomy student, you may find that the LWW Budget Brain with Arteries Model C20C meets all of your needs for a LOT less money. This brain has a lot of detail, it's rugged and it is color coded. As a bonus, it also shows the arteries.

I was very excited about purchasing this toy for my son's 4th birthday. The toy lists geography facts and trivia which are educational and fun. However, when this toy is turned on it constantly plays loud Mario-style music with no option to turn off that function. It's extremely distracting to talk over this music when trying to assist your child when playing with the toy. Which, you WILL be assisting your child because I can't think of many preschoolers that could tell you the whereabouts of the Taj Majal, the capital of Argentina or which is the longest river in the world. I think this toy would be great for older children who are easily bored on long car rides. This one will probably collect dust until my son is a little older as he's already disinterested. Ages 3+? .. with HEAVY parental involvement, yes.

This is a great idea for a child that already knows how to read and wants to learn more about the world map. However it is listed for 3+ and there is nothing a 3 year old can do. My 41/2 year old needs help. Also, we can seem to the the World Grand Prix feature (the ONLY thing that has to do with Lightnening McQueen) to work correctly. We can't link more than 1 section. It may be going back to the store.

It seems all rock tumblers come with a bag of rocks to tumble and enough grit to tumble that one bag of rocks. I ordered the coarse and fine grit and the polish so I could tumble the rocks that I already owned.

There's no instructions with the grit, so I had to look up the amounts to use on the internet. Having done that, these grits worked great. It seemed to me that they polished the rocks at each stage faster and more nicely than the other grit I had used. I like them better than the grits that came with the tumbler, and they will last me for many, many batches of rocks.

We tumble glass scraps cut from wine bottles and other household items in this grit. They come out looking like they're fresh from the ocean! I highly recommend this grit, very high quality, and does the job I bought it for perfectly. I've had jewelers ask for my secret I can only attribute it to this grit.

My six yr old granddaughter got the computer keyboard for the COMPUTER COOL SCHOOL last Christmas with a couple of play disks. She had really enjoyed playing with it so I decided to purchase this disk for her birthday. She loves it. I don't think she has onpened any of her other COOL SCHOOL disks since she received it. The disk is very durable and comes in its own plastic case. The WonderPets are so lifelike and the sounds so real that I don't mind watching (I'd like to play.) Her 4 yr old brother is mesmerized by it as well; good thing she's willing to share!

A few people mentioned in reviews that they were shipped the incorrect toy. What we received is exactly as pictured. I ordered it when my son was 10 months old, & it holds his attention for a little while (about 15-20 minutes). That's great for me because that's enough time to start supper or heat up something for myself and my son.

My son likes the colors and moves the beads with ease. I have not had any issues with paint chipping as mentioned in another review. I was pleasantly surprised that it sticks wonderfully to the tray of our First Years feeding seat. Our son (thus far @ 11 months old) has not been able to remove it from the tray. The first time I removed it from his tray it took a little effort on my part! It also sticks to the formica top on our kitchen table as well as a wooden tv tray. Have not tried it at a restaurant yet. I'm happy I purchased this toy and was very excited it was made in the USA!!!

I received the wrong item, just as Bobbi (another reviewer) had. The Amazon vendor, Cute Gift Store, pictures and lists the product as "Suction Cup Coaster by Anatex" (SKU: SC4003), but the unit I received in error was CPS Suction Cup Coaster (SKU: CPSSP3001). If you go onto the Anatex website, you can see the different models and SKU numbers to confirm.

The suction cups work rather well on the tray of our Fisher Price high chair, as well as the tray on our Prince Lionheart BebePod Plus. The wooden beads feature different shapes and colors, which our 10-month-old baby enjoyed fingering and spinning. The two tracks were not too difficult for him to move beads across, so that's another plus.

I would've kept it, but I noticed that the CPS model arrived in the mail with some damage already: paint chipping off the corners and little chunks of wood splintering off.

If you decide to order this model, make sure you get the correct one as advertised. I wouldn't want my kid to be swallowing wood splinters or paint.

P.S. Although I returned the item and Amazon gave me a refund immediately, I still wanted to give Cute Gift Store another chance. I contacted Cute Gift Store through the Amazon website almost 10 days ago, yet I have gotten no response from them. Too bad, because I had hoped to make a second order, this time for the correct toy. I may have to buy a different bead maze, from another vendor instead. Not ideal.

Ordered this toy to go on a high chair for our 7mo old, but what we got is not as pictured. Its a 1/2 " thick square board w/ square edges/corners thats painted red w/ a black and white checkered pattern around the edges, box says 2 yrs +. Cant really let the baby have it w/o supervision as it doesnt seem to want to stay put. The suction cups are small and held on by screws, not real sure how long those will stay on w/ her pulling on it. It doesnt seem to want to stick on anything but plastic, even then it doesnt last long even after wetting the cups. So far its not as impressive as the Mellissa and Doug one we got in the same order. Its too bad cause this one is actually easier for the baby to manipulate w/ the arc on it, not really disappointed w/ it just expected something else, but the baby still likes it. It was shipped w/ the rest of our order so the packing was the usual good Amazon job.

This Diary is exactly the style that my son asked for. It has nice art work on the cover and the pages are lined for steady handwriting. The lock and keys are simple enough for a child and it came with 2 keys in case one were to be lost. My son likes it and he writes in it often.

RepRap Prusa Mendel Iteration 2 Complete 3D Printer Kit Review

I'm only at step 15 in the video series describing how to put the thing together. So far I'm happy with one exception. The parts have changed since the videos were made, I've been able to get around this so far. Step 14 had me stymied today (a Saturday) so I called the support number. To my surprise I actually got a person on the line. He was able to point me to a few pictures to help me out and I did make it through to the next step. I would give 5 stars for the experience so far however there needs to be documentation included for the places the videos differ from the currently shipping version of the kit.

[Edit] I've completed the build using the videos as my guide and had to call support a couple of times. If you get this kit note that the RAMPS 1.4 connections are not shown in the videos however they are pretty straight forward and looking at some pictures and the wiring diagrams I was able to get it hooked up. Every time I called support I got a human being, which is a GREAT thing these days. I think I blew up the motor controller board (because I wired the power supply incorrectly, make sure to use the square plug wires with two green wires and two black wires from the PS) so I'm about to find out if the 90 day warranty is correct. It took me five days from start to finish working through several steps per day.

[Edit 2] The new RAMPS board is on the way, they gave me no problems at all with the replacement so I'm changing my rating to 5 stars.

[Edit 3] I've found that putting blue painter's tape on the heat bed glass fixes many issues. The glass I got with the kit was warped so I went to lowes and picked up a small piece of flat glass. The thermistors are tiny and fragile, I replaced mine with larger REPRAP thermistors (had to drill out the hole on the J-head hot end). I've run into a lot of issues with my printer but this isn't due to this kit, it is due to design flaws and #D printing still being in the early stages. I still recommend this kit just be aware you WILL have issues and you will have to work through them.

I ordered this kit directly from NWReprap and received a very well packed shipment in a short time. Complete video and illustrated instructions are available on-line and almost MUST be followed realtime while assembling the kit. A number of improvements that have been made in the design throw a curve since the videos and instructions are behind reality but reference to the RepRap forums plus a little common sense will pull you through the rough spots.

The quality of the parts provided are very good with few exceptions. The kit went together smoothly, generally, and the final steps of downloading the software and making the necessary changes and additions, though a bit mysterious and requiring quite a few "rewind and replay" iterations, resulted in a fairly complex machine working properly THE FIRST TIME! It's very important to go through the calibration steps carefully as presented in the videos.

Response from NWRepRap via e-mail has been very quick and always helpful. A wonderful exception to the general lack of service we become used to. I've been having a great time designing my own parts on the OpenSCAD (Computer Assisted Design) program on my computer and then downloading them to print. My friends and neighbors are impressed.

I purchased a kit from nwreprap.com and shipping was fast. The nwreprap.com website contains COMPLETE assymbly videos that detail all aspects of assymbly and calibration. When I had a problem with calibration I was able to call their phone number and the guy that recorded the videos was available to walk me through the process. I posted a video of the problem that I had and Aaron from nwreprap.com looked at the video and told me exactly what I needed to do to fix the problem. When buying an Open Source hardware kit I always wonder what kind of support would be available, sometimes its hit and miss. This is not the case with the nwreprap crew. I was building the printer to show off 3d printing at a Maker Faire in Tieton Washington. When they realised that they were geographically close to me they even offered to drive out to the Maker Faire to make sure it would be a successful demonstration. This turned out not to be necessary as they were able to help via email and phone.

You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Basically it's a picture on one side and an xray on the other. If you don't have a very bright LED light table (or similar kid-safe strong light source), you won't be able to see it very well. However, it will teach your kid about skeletons inside the body of many animals.

These are so neat! One side has the full animals and the other side has their skeleton. You hold it up to a light and can see through. My kids think they are just the coolest! We homeschool and have been studying animals in our science lessons. These have been a great addition.

Great sound with this little item and it's just plain pretty. All smooth and one piece of wood. Sweet rainy sound inside. BUT contrary to the photo, you will receive only one shaker. The description does say "wood shaker" but the pic is deceiving...so just know this going in.
