LeapFrog Leapster® Educational Game: SpongeBob SquarePants Through Reviews

I just purchased this game for my four-year old daughter. I am an elementary school teacher, and I think the game is fairly challenging. The screens are pretty monotanous and overall, my daughter finds the game boring. The other Sponge Bob game for Leapster is better.

My six year old twins (boy and girl) each got their own Leapster this year for Christmas and of course you then have to purchase the cartridges. They like Spongebob and generally he gets on my nerves after a while because there isn't much educational content to the shows. Well, the Leapster game is actually an exception. The kids LOVE it and it teaches them as well. Overall, a good thing for all involved!

You can never have enough Spongebob! That's how my kids see it. I have yet to meet a leapster game I didn't like. It's Spongebob, and leapster the perfect combination for kids. Don't get me wrong, I hate Spongebob as much as any parent, but the game's not for me now is it?

Honest reviews on LeapFrog Leapster® Educational Game: SpongeBob SquarePants Through

Anything SpongeBob is a hit with my 4 yr old granddaughter. She plays with this game everyday. She gets aggravated sometimes, but she's 4 and it's a 5-7 yr old game. Learning is hard.

Cheap VTech MobiGo Software Cartridge - Dinosaur Train

VTech MobiGo Software Cartridge - Dinosaur Train
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

Dinosaur train is my son's favorite show. He just loves this game. There are 4 to choose from. He is fairly proficient at 3 of the games that deal with hunting down fossils, hunting down mr. conductor, hunting down dinosaur eggs, making hypotheses with buddy, finding letters on the keyboard to spell various dinosaur names, following direction about dinosaurs, ect. He is definitely frustrated by the 4th game which deals with memorizing patterns, but he is only 4 and am happy everything wasn't super easy for him straight away (room to grow!). He has mastered most easy levels of the previous stated and has moved on to difficult (he is so proud of himself). He plays this independently and I would highly recommend any dinosaur train fan to purchase this product!

My baby girl loves dinosaurs. This game is a winner! You will not be disappointed. The games are fun the music is hip. Your kids will make this their go to cassette.

I recommend Mobigo 2 & this game cassette. What a great game this is. My 2 1/2 yr old gndson loves pushing buttons & making the dino's move but he can't do much else & has more fun taking the cartridge in & out over & over til he gets stuck & can't get it to go in anymore. Then he gets mad at it because it won't do what he wants it to do. So he yells at it & wants "Hup." This is a good game if you can get them to play it for more than a half a minute.

It's one of his favorite shows. It has good questions and problems, especially for those who are beginning to read on there own. A good buy.

I recently purchased the Funtime Activity Turtle for my newly walking son. He absolutely loves it! He smiles and laughs when he pulls it along as the turtle head bobs up and down. What's also great is that he can sit with it and press the buttons to make the lights light up and play music. It is great for teaching him cause and effect when he pushes the buttons and it also encourages him to practice his walking more so we don't fall down as much!!

Looks hideous to me, but my granddaughter loved to play with all the doodads on the surface of the turtle.

Review of Arduino Adventures Full KIT - All the Components Required

Arduino Adventures Full KIT - All the Components Required to Complete the Challenges Proposed By the Book
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

I just started Arduino Adventures with my 12 year old and was delighted to find this kit of parts that has everything I need to complete the challenges in the book. One thing to be aware of is that the book assumes you have an Arduino Uno R3 but this kit contains the Arduino Leonardo. It's almost the same thing but make sure you choose the right board from the "Tool" menu in the Arduino IDE! We had a few tense moments when the Serial Monitor showed complete gibberish instead of the expected output. Setting the board to "Leonardo" fixed this.

We can't wait for Challenge 2!

Do read my review of Arduino Adventures! Both the book and this kit were better than I expected.

Not only does this kit include every component you'll need to complete the challenges in the book, it has a few extras, does not skim on quality, and is a very good value.

The components included are of high quality the breadboards I received are the clear plastic kind, and the Arduino was Leonardo-based, has a micro USB connector, can act as a USB client, and it also has a wireless connector header for Xbee/Zigbee, etc.

Sure, you can buy all these components separately, and they may end up being cheaper, I really don't know. But the convenience of getting all the components in one place, and seeing the quality of what was packed in the box made this a good choice for me and my kids.

Nothing is in the way of us solving all the challenges from the Arduino Adventures book and rescuing Cade and Elle!

Best Deals for Arduino Adventures Full KIT - All the Components Required

Thanks you for super fast shipping. And I got all the part listed with no damage.

And just to be aware for other user. From the product description the board is listed as Arduino compatible board. You may not get the Official Arduino itself. For my case I got the DFRobot Leonardo with Xbee socket, which so far I got no problem following the book with this board.

Overall super satisfy with shipping & customer service.

Thanks yous.

Review of Princess Kaleidoscope Kit

Princess Kaleidoscope Kit
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

This is advertised as a kit, but that turned out to be true in a way I never expected. It does not require assembly. Instead, it comes with a variety of "trinkets" which can be inserted into the end of the kaleidoscope for an infinite number of effects. My granddaughter and I spent several hours experimenting with their trinkets and many small household items and toys.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Purchased this at a toy store while on vacation this summer for my 5 year old grandaughter. She loves it! And so do I!

The kit contains a sturdy hardboard cylinder in bright pink. The cover on the end can be removed so you can add all the neat sparkles included. Look around the house for even more fun things to add to make it your own creation. Great imagination builder.

I think it will hold up well if handled with care. It does say 7 and up, probably for that reason. However, my 5 year old can use this just fine on her own. She is very hard on her toys so just needs a gentle reminder to go easy. I bought 3 more from Amazon to give as Xmas gifts. I love kaleidoscopes and this is a great kit for all ages!

Best Deals for Princess Kaleidoscope Kit

This is a terrific kit, and very reasonably priced. And it's made in the USA, so that's a big plus. The only two caveats I would give is that it needs strong light to really pop the colors-so outside, or near a bright window, is best for viewing. The second is that when getting the cap off to change the lovely things in the tumbler, adult supervision and care is advised, as just yanking off the cap can ruin the kaleidoscope. The cap needs to come off slowly and carefully, and ditto for replacing the cap. If you do this, it is quite durable and should last a long time. Little bits of ribbon and special clay or glass beads or shiny buttons can be added to the kit, the possibilities are pretty extensive.

Honest reviews on Princess Kaleidoscope Kit

I was looking for a fun and non-traditional V-day gift for my 2 daughters and their cousin (aged 3-7). Everyone loved these and the kids are still using them as well as the jewels for a variety of fun and games. I especially like the feature of sending the kaleidoscope with some items to put in but that can also be switched out or used in varying combinations.

Basically, you slap in some glittery things and put the cap on and voila! a kaleidoscope. It's a simple sparkly gift. Just don't overload the cylinder.

I bought 2 different kinds. This one is definitely more challenging. It is a good 3d puzzle with movement to put together with someone. I would recommend buying an easier one before you step up to the harder ones. I love looking at it on my shelf in my game room. It's an eye-catcher!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

It was great fun to put together, but the instructions are humorously opaque.

They were either written by a first year English student from China, or a translation program. They made me laugh a lot!

Also, the instructions cannot be followed as-is, since the balls won't roll if you do. However, part of the fun is trying to figure out how to modify them in order to get it working.

My final product is mostly the same, but there are some serious changes I made.

All that just adds to the pride of accomplishment when finally done.

So, I had fun putting it together, it's fun to watch, and company gets pretty mesmerized when watching it in full action.

I can recommend it.

Best Deals for Space Rail Marble Roller Coaster Marble Roll Toy Level 4 26000mm

It really is okay if you like doing stuff without instructions. They were translated into english by... someone who can't speak english. You kind of NEED the instructions for something like this, so if you really want it be prepared to ignore the gibberish and try to figure out how to build it using the pictures/diagrams only.

Honest reviews on Space Rail Marble Roller Coaster Marble Roll Toy Level 4 26000mm

The assembly time (7-8 hours) is based on a realistic calculation it is not easy to make every loop functioning but the result is well worth the time!

My son really didn't even get to play with this because the parts kept breaking when he tried to put them together. He is 11 and pretty good building things like this, he has had several marble coasters before and had a lot of fun with them. I need to find out if I can return this and get my money back. Total waste.

I'm always looking for compact toys and such that can be used during a road trip. We're not big fans of electronic toys that get kids in a mindset of "the only thing I want to do is use a computer or video game." We want our kids to explore the world around them, enjoy learning, and develop skills that are applicable beyond computers. So, we don't just give them a gameboy type toy for the car rides. The kids really liked these animal cards and after we had gone through them a few times, we created an impromptu memory game with them in the car!

Reviews of VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet

VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet- Blue
Customer Ratings: 4 stars
Buy Now
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program HOW ARE INNOTAB 2 AND INNOTAB 2S THE SAME?

If you're already familiar with InnoTab 2 you're basically looking at the same tablet. The design stays the same, with all of the keys in the same place. The only addition is the WiFi key, which tells you if the tablet is connected to the internet, and how strong your connection is (a four bar display).

Included Apps are the same.

VTech still decided not to include the rope for the stylus. In the manual they call it a "Wrist Strap Fastener" (Note: not included). But it's clearly not a wrist strap fastener, because the stylus has a rope loop hole in it, and the tablet has a hole in it right beside the stylus. The website even states it has a "stylus with hole for string." My husband thinks VTech doesn't want the liability of a child wrapping their neck in the rope, and put the responsibility on the parent to get the strap themselves; it certainly seems that way.

HOW ARE INNOTAB 2 AND INNOTAB 2S DIFFERENT?

Some people like to creatively take the tablets out of the box for setup before handing to a child as a gift. InnoTab 2 is a bit of a challenge; just use sharp scissors to break the tape and foldout the box carefully. InnoTab 2S, I am happy to report, is the easiest of them all! The tablet just slides out the top in a plastic covering; no tape, or attachments cut into the box. You simply pop the tablet out of the molded plastic, and there you have it! I feel like someone at VTech heard parent's frustration and decided to fix this... thank you!

The big difference with InnoTab 2S is the new wireless capability, but don't imagine browser capability. The WiFi is simply used for downloading apps from VTech's website. Your child can make wish lists with the Wish List app on their tablet; my son is only 3, so he's not using that feature . . . yet. Downloading apps is easy, but you don't purchase them off the tablet itself (that's good new, otherwise imagine all the apps your child might "accidently" buy). You purchase them off your computer, tablet, or phone (I haven't used that feature yet).

The look of InnoTab 2S is basically the same, but I enjoy the bold black inlay over the previous grey and pink choices. I think this way it looks more like quality hardware and less of a toy (that's just my preference, my son doesn't care). Oddly, this one is considered blue because of the color of the back, not the front, which is white. Even the rubber sides are grey, unlike the pink one which actually has more pink on it. I think the "blue" is less gender specific because the back looks more dark purple; something to think about for parents who need to share this tablet between genders.

Finger swiping on the InnoTab 2, my son was having problems with the tablet thinking he was selecting an app, which would cause it to load. With InnoTab 2S the opposite has occurred; now the tablet wants to swipe to the next page and not open the app. At 3, my son prefers using his finger, but the InnoTab 2S works best with a stylus and opens apps perfectly that way. This is a bit of a downer, but workable.

OVERALL REVIEW?

It pains me, because I really want to like the InnoTab 2S, but it has one big flaw that hasn't been fixed it's *still* s-l-o-w. InnoTab 2S takes 43 seconds to reach the app home screen. The InnoTab 2 took 37 seconds; we shouldn't be regressing here (I should mention, the LeapPad2 takes 21 seconds!). It takes InnoTab 2S a solid 8 seconds to open an app. I said it before, and I'll say it again, there's a lot of "loading" (read: waiting) going on with the InnoTab 2S, and it makes a difference to me.

Another thing I had a bit of an issue with is videos. The InnoTab 2S comes with the same memory as the InnoTab 2 (2GB). You can add an SD card to expand up to 32GB; that's a big plus, but I've never needed it with my son. This time I wanted to upload videos for him to watch. So I put a 16MB SD Card, that came with an old camera we purchased, into the tablet. Putting the SD Card in was easy. The slot is in the battery compartment; you'll need to remove the batteries. This is a nice touch, in a way, because my son can't get to it and loose it. But can I just say that getting the SD Card out is a pain!!!! Horrible design. My son can probably get it out easier than I can. My husband? No chance. It doesn't have the push-eject feature, so you have to extract it out with small fingers, or tweezers! VTech if you're reading this, please fix this.

Afterwards I plugged in the InnoTab using the USB cord to my PC, and pulled up an LLL file on the card. In that file you transfer your converted video, photos, music (supports JPEG formatted photos, and MJPEG/H.264 videos (avi)). Sadly, there wasn't much I could put on a 16 MB disk. BUT, it was really easy to transfer everything and find them on the tablet. The video was of decent quality with playback options. Unfortunately, I'm not willing (read: lack the time) to convert movies for use on the InnoTab when I already have them converted for the iPad. But, if this is a feature you like and want to use, you'll enjoy it! Also, as an MP3 player the sound quality is decent, not a lot of distortion.

So which do I recommend?

Either. The WiFi is a nice touch, but not necessary. And there are no big changes between the two, except the InnoTab 2S appears slower, and the color change.

In case you don't want to go looking for the reviews on the VTech InnoTab 2 Learning App Tablet White, which is the same, here are some things you might find helpful:

Screen size (2 ½" x 4 ½"), or 5" if you're measuring diagonally.

Require 4 AA batteries (not included).

Uses a stylus (comes with two).

Has a cartridge port for additional games and uses purchased apps.

3-9 year age requirement.

Swivel camera.

Can buy additional accessories like screen guard, cases, rechargeable batteries, ac adapters, and headphones.

Personalize for up to 4 players, plus 1 guest.

Has an eReader, MP3 Players, art studio, calculator, calendar, notes, clock, and most of your basic themed books and games.

Has a mic and volume control.

Parent tracker that allows parents to track their child's progress and success playing a game.

Rubber corners to help protect it from a fall.

Battery compartment is easily accessible, just slide a switch and it opens the compartment. This is where the SD Card slot is found.

2GB of memory, but can add an additional 32GB of memory with SD Card (not included). I've found 2GB is more than enough for our needs.

Can be played right away (just add batteries, not included). Need to spend less than 5 minutes setting up the tablet date, time, and personalization.

InnoTab has a tilt sensor like an iPad or iPhone and will tilt the screen if held horizontal or vertical.

Has buttons for brightening or dimming the screen, but don't expect much, there's only four bars and it doesn't make a lot of difference.

Has a "?" button that allows you to hear instructions again, or find out more information about an app (nice touch!). The InnoTab itself tends to repeat things all the time (it's a bit annoying). The tablet doesn't ever sit quietly when turned on and not touched, it constantly wants to talk to you; you'll need to turn the volume off.

Comes with manual.

Internal "kickstand" for standing the tablet up vertically or horizontal.

Plays converted videos. Quality isn't like an iPad or iPhone, but little kids won't mind.

Best Deals for VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Last year I had the opportunity to review the original InnoTab, so I was eager to see if they had greatly improved things this year with the InnoTab 2S. My kids always love playing with my iPad, so the idea of a little tablet with some kids games that I didn't have to monitor was quite appealing. I was not pleased with the InnoTab overall, but I had high hopes for the InnoTab 2S. The InnoTab 2S has many improvements over the InnoTab, but also has taken a big step backwards.

The first thing I noticed is that the new InnoTab is smaller. It still has a kick-stand on the back and a stylus sleeve, but there is now a hole in the stylus and a small attach point for a string to hold the stylus. Oddly enough, InnoTab doesn't give you the string, so you need to get one yourself. There is also now a camera on the top that pivots for both self portraits and photos of other people and a microphone for recording sound.

The InnoTab 2S is still a USB device controlled by software you install on your PC, but it now has WiFi for downloading apps. This permits your child to "shop" in the online store, put apps on a wish list, and then allows the parent to buy them later. The act of your child shopping sends you an e-mail with their "wishes". Sadly, the WiFi interface didn't work with my home network since I don't have SSID broadcast turned on. Even entering the name manually like I do on my iPad would not work, so I had to adjust my security settings down for the InnoTab to work.

Once I turned it on, I was also surprised because normally new hardware runs faster, but this one runs slower. For the original InnoTab, it tooks 16 seconds to get to the login screen and a total of 42 seconds to get through both power-up and login. The new InnoTab 2S takes 33 seconds to get to the login screen and 49 seconds to go from off to the home screen. Pathetic! This is for a little kid who will get impatient and mash the power button wondering why it won't turn on. Why can't they implement a sleep mode or similar? Taking almost a minute to turn on just is not acceptable today.

I was also hoping that there would be some improvement to the actual device games itself, but they are still fairly low resolution and slow. Most of them are not very educational, and repeat the same basic tasks over and over. A few accelerometer based games are fun, as are the silly camera applications. My kids had a great time playing with them, but there is a limit to what you can do with the device. My kids tried one of the eBooks that came with the tablet (there is a free cartridge included), but navigation was hard because the interface was so slow. This screen seems less sensitive to a finger than the original, so you really need the stylus. Many times my kids were not sure if they had clicked a button and it was "thinking", or if their click had not registered. Sometimes it took several taps with the stylus for anything to happen. It was a frustrating experience compounded by the fact they still play with the InnoTab 1 and that one runs faster!

Let's talk cost of ownership. The InnoTab 2S costs $100. InnoTab rechargeable batteries plus AC adapter will set you back $30. Add another $20 for an SD card (not included). You're up to $150 when you can get a Kindle Fire for $159. Each game cartridge is $25 and the downloadable apps range in price from $3-$7. In other words, you can hit $200 really quickly. But $200 will get you a Kindle Fire HD which comes with rechargeable batteries, more memory, far more free apps, and many apps that cost $1 (and turns on in a second).

My conclusion? I received this to evaluate, but I can't see myself wanting to even spend an additional $25 for a game cartridge when I know I can get better games on an inexpensive Android tablet that will run faster and smoother (and for less money). The only advantage of the InnoTab is durability, but other than that, I can't really recommend this device in today's world of inexpensive real tablets. The low quality applications and limited capabilities might have warranted 3-4 stars if the device weren't so mind-numbingly slow. Every button you click requires a 10-15 second lag while it loads the next screen. This hardware is well past its expiration date. The durable plastic shell and form factor are great, but InnoTab needs to update their processor to make a kids tablet to compete in the modern world.

Honest reviews on VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this. It helps the little ones to learn and play so easily with the big buttons to decide what they want to do and the touchscreen is fantastic. the stylus is not attached so it will probably get lost but otherwise the touch screen works very good. My grandaughter played with this and I believe she would have played thru the night if I had let her.One thing about this is you can put learning games on it and they think they are just playing games while they are really learning :)

Pre-ordered this for my soon to be 3 year old for his upcoming birthday. He hasn't seen it yet but I have already unpackaged it to check it out and set it up. It seems good quality to me and should be easy for him to use as he is quite familiar with operating my iphone and kindle. The apps are a little on the expensive side, but I was lucky to find the $20 download cards here on Amazon for $12.54 (which are still currently available as of the writing of this review) so I bought a couple of those to use for purchasing games/ebooks/videos. I very much like the ability to download the apps over wifi (though they still have to be purchased on my computer), we have a tag pen from leap frog and I have never been more frustrated than trying to download a book to that thing with it connected to my computer and my kiddo standing there whining to read his new book. From what I can tell so far this will be far easier. I can buy the stuff and just download it straight from the tablet without having to drag out my laptop. I don't know how fast it's going to go through batteries but I did purchase some rechargeable batteries specifically for use with this device and also the wall and car chargers. I decided if I was going to spend $100 on something for my kiddo I was going to have all the accessories to make it work when I need it to. The downloading can run kind of slow if you're downloading several things as once (especially video) and also stops if you enter an app, so I'd recommend doing that while the kids are asleep or otherwise occupied. The only thing I've found that I don't particularly like is that it seems to turn on at the same volume every time which can be quite loud if you're pulling it out to amuse your kid some place that's quiet and also it repeats itself a lot (while I was downloading several apps it kept telling me to click on the tabs to see what else I could do, I finally just turned the volume all the way down). Over all I'm happy with the purchase and I'm sure it'll only be better once my kiddo gets to enjoy it.

I saw all the great reviews about the TickleMe Plant Greenhouse and wondered if we could paint the greenhouse, as our family loves craft projects too. I stumbled upon the TickleMe Plant Greenhouse with the Paint set. Wow! What fun.

We planted the seeds in the soil pellets as instructed. We then painted the greenhouse and in a few days the plants sprouted!

It wasn't long before the second set of leaves formed and guess what the leaves folded up like magic when we tickle them. They also opened back up shortly after. So now we had a gardening, craft and sort of a science project all in one. Highly recommended!

This may sound weird, but I gave this to my man for his 40th birthday and well... boys will be boys... he loved it!! We were actually late for our dinner reservation because he got so into reading the booklet and checking out the colored tiles. I even got a little into it -randomly picking up tiles, we tried to remember which chemical it corresponded to and which chemicals it bonded well with. And the tiles great quality and lock together nicely! This is a fun game that brings out the boy in your man!! And I suppose it could be good for kids too. Ha... Yes, great for kids to learn too!

I got this for my 1 1/2 year old son for Christmas. He likes to make shapes fit. My other son likes it as well.

This is great because it's a sorter for the 8 shapes, but it can also be used for pretend play with the 4 included shape people. It folds up, has a handle and the door closes securely to keep the shapes inside. I'm glad I bought this for my toddler.

A different kind of challenge and the boys really liked having different projects to do. Would definitely recommend to others.

Honest reviews on Thames & Kosmos Magnetic Science

Great assortment. Wish it had more file shavings. We used it for science experiments for a homeschool group. The kids had a blast looking for things that attract magnets. One horse shoe broke when a kid dropped it when it didn't instantly stick to a fridge, but that can happen. Lots of learning potential in this little box! I'd say go for it! Your kids will have a blast!

Pros: Useful & detailed reference handbook included, neatly packed components, sturdy box, colorful average quality pieces.

Cons: Toy like compass wasn't functional, kit just a little overpriced.

Don't regret purchasing it since it's very educational & somewhat entertaining at the same time for kids.

The reasons for give the scope a 3-star instead of a 5-star rating is the camera. We are using the scope in the geology field. Unfortunitally the camera will not zoom out to take photos of a complete specimen but rather a particular spot on the specimen. I had no prior knowledge of scopes so it was a bit of a hassle trying to figure things out as the scope comes with no instructions for using the USB camera attachment. Other than this, it is a really good scope that does what it advertises to do.

I am totally satisfied with this microscope. It has the power that I was looking for, and the camera works great. I had to use it for awhile to figure out how everything works, but it displays on my computer screen, and I can take pictures of what I want and store them in a file. I would strongly recommend this seller to anyone looking for good quality, and honesty in dealing. Another bit of info that I would like to add is, you can do a little jury rigging and set the camera to focus thru one of the 20X lenses, focus it, and take the picture, and save it to your computer. The 10X lenses are too long. I've had to use scotch tape to keep it in place, but it still works very well for me.

'Scope was exactly what I expected. Works well, camera actually increases the magnification considerably and I think it will work with most any microor telescope that has the standard 3 cm size eyepiece. the CD-ROM that came with it was unreadable, but their customer service gave me a download link for the software.

Honest reviews on AmScope 10x-20x-30x-60x Digital Binocular Stereo Microscope

This is an awesome scope for the price. The camera is a little touchy to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is a useful and powerful addition to this scope. The scope itself is very easy to use and has a very good viewing area. The scope is especially handy with the double lights: one above for viewing larger samples and one below for viewing slides. For the price I cannot think of anything to complain about.

Hey, this thing is awesome! I use it to look at coins, and the 30x setting is just perfect for this. No more eye strains from peering through loupes for me!! NOPE!

The first one I ordered, the top light ballast blew out after the first 2 minutes. No joke. Replacing the bulb did nothing. But, I called Amazon and they sent a replacement immediately and it arrived in 2 days. I've used the replacement for around 40 hours, and it has worked perfectly. The scope has performed well beyond expectations at this price point.

Some coin collectors are buying those pen microscopes, like the DinoLite. Decent ones cost more than this AmScope, so this is a no brainer here folks. I haven't used the camera it came with, it looks like junk to me. But then again, I didn't buy this microscope for the camera.

I've been using my Sony DSC-T110 to take pictures directly through the eye piece, without changing it out. This point and shoot camera is 16MP and has a flat face with the lens housed inside the camera. No retractable optics. I just hold my camera against the eye piece and get AMAZING shots. By the way, this style of camera is PERFECT for macro amazing clarity. For whatever reason, this is a tip that people seem not to have caught on to. I've been using point-and-shoots to photograph directly through loupes the past few years and often get better shots than those with $2000 D-SLR setups and light boxes.

Take it or leave it, folks!
