Ocos Rock (Geode) Review
This is small, just like in the picture. But still looks cool. It arrived well packaged and comes with a shear silk pouch. I placed my with my crystal items atop a mirror and use a bright LED light above to enhance the reflective quality. Would buy again.

I needed a nice, warm tone for my electric violin, and ended up buying this amp. It's wonderful. The volume is loud enough for me to hear, it's controls are easy to manage, and it's not too bulky that it gets in the way. Highly recommended.

I got this kit thinking it was an inexpensive activity for my daughter and my brother who is blind and autistic. Turns out it was the best kit of the bunch & there was a very small geode in there. When we broke it open, it was the MOST beautiful one I have seen since I was a kidthe crystals were a shiny black look but were actually clear with a black layer underneath. The other rocks were beautiful too. Everyone had a great time with this one, I would HIGHLY recommend it & plan on purchasing at least one more myself!

This gem dig kit was so much fun. I had a blast digging the rocks out. And it was fairly easy to get every stone out. This kit had 5 gems in it along with a guide that helps you identify each stone and you just can't beat the price. We found 7 rocks of 6 kinds (one type we got two of the same). Since it was advertised as at least 5, this was great, the 7th rock was a total surprise. It's pretty easy to get the rocks out, it took her about 40 min total and she is only 5 1/2. She loves rocks and so loved this kit. I will buy more in the future to add to her collection of rocks.It did come in just a bubble lined bag, not a box, so I suspect a previous reviewer's comment that the plaster was all crumbly was due to poor handling by the delivery company. They probably should mark it fragile. Ours was delivered with no problem however.

Reviews of States and Capitals Hot Dots
I bought this for my 3rd grade son who is learning the United States Geography at school. The Front of the card has the location of the state, and the back of the card has the capital of the state. It best when used with the Hot Dots Pen. It is rewarding for a child to hear the sound when they get the answers right. After seeing my son use it, my 1st grade daughter and 5th grade son both wanted to use it, and all three of my children are enjoying learning the Geography! I would recommend this to all the parents who are looking for a Geography learning supplement.

If you do anything besides build a simple circle you will find you need these. We bought two sets of these because of the two innies and two outties pieces. We needed more of those types of pieces. They are absolute musts for any family who enjoys building elaborate train tracks.These are sturdy well made and have been strong enough to hold up through countless set ups, tear downs and hours of play.

Review of LeapFrog LeapStart® Learning Table
My son received this table when he was 8 months old, and still plays with it on an almost daily basis. The legs are detachable, I guess so it can be placed on the floor for babies, but we never did that... This table helped our son into a standing position, and encouraged him to "cruise". The variety of music it provides is great, and hasn't even begun to get old yet (even for mom & dad). Now at almost 2, I've noticed that my son is starting to make his own music instead of just "pressing buttons" . Pressing the drums, the piano, then back to the drums... I'm sure this table will last for years to come, especially once he becomes more interested in his letters, numbers, and colors. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product for EVERY child!
I agonized over the purchase, for it was going to be the first big toy I bought for our small house. I looked at the Microsoft Intelli-table, but it looked a little Atari-ish with it's flashing lights in the middle. I looked at the Fisher Price models with the blocks (which were cheaper), but I figured that Legos would be the block of choice soon enough.
I was sold on the LeapStart b/c of the musical theme. It has a banjo that plays bluegrass, a compartment that scats when you open it, it has shapes that plays the drums, a bass that plays the bass, etc. But here is the best part, it is all real music, not some electronic rendition of good music, the real stuff. For parents, it is a godsend, b/c it is not offensive to listen to over and over again (but it does have volume control for those times when you need it).
My child was actually squealing with delight when I gave it to him. It is now his favorite thing to play with, and he has finally found something more interesting than crawling after our old dog. I would have paid much more for this toy.
This table has 2 settings; words (letters/numbers) and music/song. There is a "book" in the middle of the table, and the page the book is on determines what mode it is in. When the page is turned, bright lights around the table light up and a mystical sound is heard which is sure to mesmerize your little one. This table has EVERYTHING--shapes, colors, the alphabet, numbers, a piano, several other musical instruments and noisemakers--and my son's favorite part--a small compartment to open and close and to keep busy putting small objects in and out of. There are so many different activities on this table that a child never seems to get bored, especially since each activity serves two functions. For instance, there are 3 shapes to push. In talk mode, it speaks "red square", "yellow triangle", etc. In song mode, different drums are heard when each is pressed. This is just one corner of the table--I couldn't possibly go into everything this table has to offer.
I take great comfort and knowing that when my child is playing with something and is so involved in it, that he is learning his abc's or how to count to ten or learning his colors or shapes at the same time. The look on his face as he dances to the music is priceless. I bought this item for my son's first birthday and it is still a huge hit to this day. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. I recommend that as soon as your child starts pulling himself up, that you buy this toy. My child hasn't lost interest and I haven't needed to replace the batteries, oddly enough. The legs are sturdy and just the right size. It keeps my child busy for a long block of time, which, of course, is very nice for Mom!! You may pay a little more for this than the other activity tables, but you will not regret it. This is a quality item, with many educational and stimulating aspects, and I recommend it highly.

I could not wait until Christmas to let my 8 month old play with this toy. It was incredibly easy to assemble. It has detatchable legs for those babies who can sit up but cannot stand or just prefer to sit, it has two modes: one is learning numbers, colors letters, and more, and the other mode is a musical mode, the child can change the modes simply by fliping the page of the book. The music is great it is not your standard old mac donald. It has an upbeat jazzy sound. There are grippers on the bottom of the legs so that when baby leans against the table it doesn't move away from her/him. Reviews of 9440 Breadboard-Prototype Design Aid
For starters, I'm not really sure why Amazon has classified this as a toy, this is a regular breadboard as any electrical engineer or student will be very familiar with.
As far as the item itself, it seems well constructed, although you've got to attach the terminals and the rubber feet yourself, which is a bit fidgety but not a big deal. The base is made of thin aluminum, seems like the aircraft-type stuff. Although there is some flex if you put a good bit of force on the board, it is stiff enough that you'll never notice it while inserting wires and leads into the holes. A benefit of the aluminum base is that it makes the overall weight of the breadboard much lighter than similar units from other manufacturers that I own.
I can also report success with the breadboard itself, having already constructed a few circuits on it. The tie points firmly grab wires and component leads and have offered no nasty surprises.
Overall an excellent product. In fact, I've already ordered another one.

LeapFrog Learn & Groove™ Musical Table Reviews
I got this toy for 9-month-old twins, but I was suprised to find that two to five-year-olds are also amused by it. I would not buy it specifically for older children, but if your baby has older siblings, this will be a hit with them as well.
It can become a hazard once your child is able to climb. It can become a stepping stool onto higher, dangerous places (like bookshelves and toy cabinets).
Other than that, it is a fantastic toy. There is a variety of music in there, so it is not as annoying for parents as some other electronic toys. It is also very sturdy. Ours has been through some serious abuse (it has even gotten soaked in the rain) and it still works well. Despite all the keys and buttons, it is fairly easy to clean.
However, the legs feel really flimsy this time around. The older version had extra stabilizing 'feet' when you add the legs so there would be less tendency to tip over. I don't know why they decided to stop making them with this feature other than a cost issue on their end. Also, some of the new versions do not have the tabs on the legs, so once you attach the legs on, you cannot remove them. Which is again strange since they claim on the box that you can remove them. (apparently, the Leapfrog Company has told people to return this version to the store and get one with the tabs, but good luck finding one with tabs) The plastic legs are also more prone to bend in places it's not supposed to bend(I found this out when I tried to remove the legs.) Luckily, I was able to exchange it out as my baby doesn't stand up yet.
So, in summary, if you want to buy this table and your little one is still not ready to stand, check to see which type of legs the table comes with. If it has the tabs, you are in luck. If it doesn't, do not put the legs on until your little one is ready to stand.

My mom bought this table and I bought a Fisher Price table. The kids love the Leap Frog Table and hate the Fisher Price one. The Leap Frog one is awesome! It has two options, words or music. So for the little ones to whom words don't mean much, you can use the music reinforcement and my toddler (age 2) likes the word option now. My daughter just got this for her first birthday and she loves it! Everything you touch on this table makes a noise we especially love the trombone and the banjo. As you flip the pages to the "book" in the middle of the table, the songs and the sounds change. There are lots of movable parts for the kids to play with the slide on the trombone moves, there is a slide on the violin, the banjo has a lever to pull, there is a barrel to roll, pages of the book to turn, shapes to press, and a compartment to open. I was mildly disappointed that the the audio cuts in an out after a few months of use. I was looking for a solution, when I ran into a report that states this toy contains lead, bromine and arsenic!!! This is terrible in a child's toy, how can this go into production?SOURCE

Review of Learning Resources Early Science Explorer's Set
I really only purchased this for the magnifier, as other reviews said the tweezers were useless anyway. As one person noted,
the optics are a little fuzzy, but this is a TOY, not a tool, and the magnification is good enough that my 3 yr old grandson will simply be fascinated with the magnification effects, not only with bugs, but with everything.

This is great for the little explorer! Both pieces are made of highly durable plastic that will hold up to rough playing in little hands. The tweezers are a little hard to squeeze completely closed for my 3 year old, but he's able to get it most of the way and has been picking up thicker objects, like his foam letters to "inspect" and move them. There is a ring on the back of the magnifying glass that will pop out so it can stand up, but he really hasn't been interested in that so we just leave it closed. The glass does magnify much more than the last one he had and he loves being able to blow up pictures, words, and faces to make them look huge! My 1 year old has even gotten in on the action and picks it up to look at things. The "glass," which is more of an acrylic, does scratch easily though. We've had it for nearly a week and it has about 5 or 6 scratches on it already. Boikido Wooden Push And Play - Mouse Wagon Review
We gave this to my daughter on Christmas even though she wasn't able to walk yet. When she was finally walking & able to push it around, one of the wheels kept coming off... as the wheel spins, it unscrews the wheel and it falls off! It's a terrible design. Problem is, we were unable to return it because it was passed the return date since she didn't start walking until a couple months after the return date. So I have a brand new, unusable wagon sitting in the garage. Total waste of money.
If the wheel didn't unscrew and come off all the time it would have been a nice toy for her.
The wagon was well packed and all parts complete. The directions were a little hard for me to follow but they tried to spell them out simply, and the pictures helped. I love this push wagon, it's colors and the size.
I heartily recommend it!

I was looking for a push toy for my Granddaughter who was just starting to walk around the furniture but not start off on her own. I gave her this Mouse Wagon for Easter and she immediately took off walking behind it and in a day or two she was off on her own.The wagon was well packed and all parts complete.
