This globe is easy to turn to see all of the world, but it is VERY small. It is a good globe if you are looking for something small.

I read a review before purchasing this globe lamenting that it was smaller than expected, but I must say that, even while expecting it to be smaller than expected, it was still even smaller than that expectation. It's only slightly bigger than a soft ball.

With that aside, I like that this globe can turn in so many different directions, allowing for easy viewing of all sides (even Antarctica!)

However, the design allows the hemispheres to move so that they are not in line with each other, if the globe is turned while holding onto the globe, rather than the stand.

This globe is quite small, but it's perfect for my almost 5 year old daughter, who is studying the 7 continents at preschool. It turns in all directions, and I like that the oceans are blue and the land is green/brown. It's a good mini globe for the price.

This is a box of quality slides that I ordered when I purchased my Microscope. What can you really say about a glass slide? They are nice slides for what I am planning on using them for and for the price you can't go wrong buying them. If you don't want to purchase covers just put another slide on top. 7 yr old loved it. Read a lot of it himself and was able to do some of the experiments himself. I think the behavior of magnets is especially concrete, fun & "magical" for the kids.

I bought this toy for my daughter on her first birthday. As a kid, my brother had an older version of this toy and I was expecting that when I puchased the Chicco Animal Cottage. In that sense I was a little disappointed. The plastic is much thinner and flimsier, the doors pop open easily without using the key, and the animals can fit through some of the holes at the top meant for the shapes. That being said, it is still a fun toy and both my one and four year old enjoy playing with it.

I really dislike this toy. The keys and locks are nearly impossible for my child to use and she gets very frustrated. I'm glad this was a gift but am completely baffled at how many lame toys are produced. Don't they have focus groups for this kind of item? We hate it. Do not buy.

This is a great book; fantastic voice-acting with lots of games and educational content. In less than two weeks, my son has logged over 4 hours in the book, according to the Leapfrog Learning Path summary. However, I want to take advantage of the supposed rewards and games that unlock with reading and doing activities. But this book doesn't even appear on the carousel for Rewards and Games in the Leapfrog Connect application. I tried updating the app, plugging in the reader off, plugging it in on, and contacted customer service. Their response was "Please be sure it is plugged-in." Epic fail Leapfrog CS! Great book but Leapfrog's support isn't worth two-cents.

No idea why this is categorized as a "toy"... nonetheless, this charger works great and does both AA's and AAA's. I'm using rechargeable batteries everywhere I can now since the price of the batteries is reasonable, each charge lasts FAR FAR longer than a regular Alkaline disposable battery and I don't have to worry about properly disposing of the Alkaline batteries. Just make sure you get good batteries, I've had good luck with the Eneloops and HiTech AA and AAA batteries.

I had been looking for a non-standard cordless phone, and finally found this one! I just got it so I can't comment TOO much on its usability yet, but its almost cooler in person than it is in the photos! Unlike other similar "retro" phones this one also has a full set of numbers on the handle (something you can't see in the pics). If it is on the cradle, and it rings, when you pick it up it automatically answers it instead of having to hit the "talk" button, which is pretty cool. Also, all of the handset numbers light up, which makes it easier to dial in dim light.

I don't even know why I originally wanted to get Bang&Olufsen... This phone is so much cooler and operates so well. I was guilty to spend lots of money on land line phone. In the end, we only need house phones to find our cell phones, right? So, I thought, OK, I'll try this one. Cheap and rather unusual shape. It is better out of the box, than on the picture. And the weight of receiver is unreal, like 1 ounce. Speakers on both -base and receiver, nice blue light. Very happy with it!

This phone is so stylish yet old fashioned. I absolutely love it! The ringers aren't exactly old fashioned, but hey those are annoying anyway. I really like that when the phone is hooked up you don't have to push talk. It has a speaker phone on the base, and I love that there are buttons on the actual phone itself. (Which the pictures don't show) The phone is so cute, and much better than the one that I replaced it with. Some of the other reviews say that it was small, but I think the size is just fine!

I bought this for my 9 year old son's science fair project. It comes in very few pieces and was easily assembled. Beware that this inexpensive solar panel only works in full sun. It does not store up energy. So the minute the car encounters shade, it stops. It is not for indoor use at all. My son thinks it would run better if the wheels came with rubber for grip. Because it needs to be light-weight, I'm not sure. But it does spin in place for a second or two until it picks up traction. I would recommend this educational car kit.

My 9-year-old son was awed by this clock when I gave it to him for a gift. His plan was to do a science experiment -to see how long the clock would keep time with various objects as the power source. Ignore what the previous reviewer said, too, as he must have had a defective version. My son's clock has been running on the same potatoes for almost 6 weeks now and isn't a minute behind his atomic clock. If you're looking for something not too expensive for a science-minded kid, this is a great idea.

I used it for a college presentation and it worked great, it doesnt keep real accurate time, I lost maybe a minute over a 24 hour period, but it could have been the potatoes. Also works with lots of other vegetables and fruits.

The cards are made of a thick cardboard material. It is stiff, but I can definitely see a kid bending it without much difficulty. The laces have plastic tips making the tip narrow, and easier to thread the holes in the cards. My toddler is able to thread easily without assistance from me. It doesn't hold my child's attention at two years old, but maybe it will get more play in the next year, we'll see.

I love Plan Toys, however these alphabet letters were a bit of a disappointment.

The colors are not as vivid as they look like in the picture. The red and blue is faded to a washed out shade. The letters are made of compressed board or something, so you can see the particle board texture mixed in with a little faded color.

The letter H was extremely rough and not the same smooth texture as the majority of the other letters. Perhaps it missed getting sanded down. Quite a few of the letters had dings and other imperfections, like small chunks missing out of them such as one would find if a little dog had chewed on them.

Maybe the set I received was defective, but the particle board is still really weird.

On the other hand, the cards are very sturdy and the pictures are super cute. The letters do fit perfectly on the outline. It's too bad the letters themselves are so poor.

I wanted to give this toy 5 stars, as it is such a creative concept and overall it is well-executed, but a few things detract from its success. One of the cards in the set came out of the package with a rip in it and it's clear that they are not particularly durable. Also, there are no grooves in the letters to fit the blocks into (as there are in the numbers equivalent set), so there isn't that satisfying "click" of getting the letter into the corresponding piece. Also, the illustrations are good but not great (but the creativity behind them is definitely 5 star quality). The letters are a nice size, and although I wish the colors were brighter in the actual wood, overall it's still a very colorful set. I do not think it is worth the thirty dollar plus asking price, but for something in the fifteen dollar range, this would be a great toy with much educational and artistic value.

Was hesitant to order this because of price and durability of some of the other Plan Toys things we have. This is the first alphabet thing we've bought that our twins are actually excited about (we have activity cube, books, flash cards, etc.) Something about pulling the letters out of a bag, letters perfectly sized for their hands and then having something to match them with. The quality is excellent -very strong, smooth letters. We have the Plan Toys nesting bowls that were of thinner wood that breaks easily. These letters seem very tough to snap. Our twins love the matching to the animal cards as well. Well worth it.

We love this product. It keeps my 26 month old busy and it's a great way to practice recognizing letters. She can play with it independently or with an adult. If you have a child that likes puzzles and matching they will love this too. I just purchased the Plan Toys Numbers and can't wait to start using that one as well.
