Due to its sturdy build and pretty acrylic material, the TrippNT Crystal Clear Acrylic stand is the perfect solution for holding the ipad. It has a 7 inch width and 8 inch height and can be used in either the 58 degree or 68 degree viewing angle. The ipad can be used in either portrait or landscape position, and there are holes which allow cables and sound to pass through. This is the sturdiest ipad stand I have found and is attractive as well. The stand does not fold, which probably contributes to its sturdiness, but you can leave your ipad sitting on it and not worry about it's tipping over. I think it is more than worth the price!

I am an information and multitasking junkie. I have multiple screens hooked up to my computer and that still doesn't seem like enough desktop real estate for me. This stand allows me to have websites, email, etc pulled up freeing more space on my computer for photoshop, dreamweaver or final cut. Before my ipad was nice toy and great for travel but now it's essential part of my work flow. I've gotten so addicted to using it that I got another one for home. I bring up Netflix or MLB.tv and watch whatever I want while I'm surfing the internet or doing a little work from home. I can even watch TV using my DirecTV app. I have uploaded this short clip of one of my coworkers using the stand with skype to talk to someone. If you have an iPad and want to make more use of it get this stand.

I've had his handy stand for only a few days, but I can already tell it is too simple to believe, and it does just one thing amazingly well. It holds my iPad at a perfect angle, wherever I want it. Somehow, it makes the sound from the speaker bigger and deeper (it apparently reflects the back facing speaker off the acrylic frame). Flip the stand and the angle changes. Works great for holding recipes while cooking. I have an Apple folding pad cover and I try to fold it to make it sort of a stand, but I usually just end up swearing. Problem fixed with this stand.

Only con? It doesn't collapse, so not so good for traveling. But for home or office (I may get another one so it is home AND office) perch for my iPad, I love it!

excellent information but blurry diagrams. patients enjoy the large amount of information contained on these sheets. diagrams and text would be easier to make out if the printing was more clear.

Cheap LeapFrog® Explorer Smart Globe

I'm not one for electronic toys, normally. But this globe is terrific. The second day after she received it, my 6-year-old had learned all the continents and oceans, and could find each of them within two or three seconds after the globe called them out. She's working on countries now. Her first-grade class had to make a collection of 100 items of their choice. She chose to collect 100 country names, which she patiently copied from the globe while listening to music snippets and basic facts about each one. Last month, we read that geologists believe India was once a seperate island, which eventually crashed into mainland Asia. I asked her what mountain range was made during that crash, and she barely paused before answering the Himilayas.

But the best part is when the kids go to bed. Then I get to challenge my wife to Eureka, to see who can find the most countries, cities and continents as they are called out randomly by the globe. She always wins. But I'm improving, and one of these days....

My only complaint (like many of the other reviewers) is that the globe started malfunctioning after several months. In our case, the sensors must have shifted inside the globe so that instead of giving you information for the country you select, it tells you about its neighbor 2 inches to the left. But the company will replace the globe for free. I just had to ship it back to them (at my own cost, but no big deal). Many people complain about the stylus failing, but a replacement stylus is pretty cheap. If you play with it as much as we do, you can't expect it to last forever, can you?

Leap Frog toys are the best!! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my five year old twins. I thought it might be too advanced for them, but they had been asking me about oceans and continents, so I thought we'd give it a go. What a great toy! We have gotten many times our money's worth from this purchase. They have spent countless hours playing and learning with this toy. Every time we get in the car, the globe goes with us (a little cumbersome for a travel toy, but it's their favorite). I'm embarrassed to say I need to spend a little time with the globe to catch up with them! We recently purchased the Turbo-Twist Math another favorite. Next is the Turbo Twist Spelling...

I bought this for my 7 year old son and WE can't stop playing. He has even found mistakes on the flat map at school(countries that have changed names recently).I would definitely recommend this toy for any grade-schooler. The Eureka game is the best! He has learned so many different countries and can usually find more than me in the time alotted. They are learning and don't even know it. Get rid of those gameboys and playstations and get an Explorer Globe! Definitely a MUST HAVE!!!

I bought this for my daughter when we home schooled. We loved it but after a couple of months of use the pen stopped working. You point the pen at the country/state etc. and the computer tells you facts about that area. So its critical to have the pen working! We looked the item up online and they said to mail the pen into them and we did so without ever hearing back from them. It has been months now. I read someone else's review with a different problem and they mailed the item back and haven't heard from the company. That is VERY disappointing as this item is fairly pricey and once it doesn't work its just a regular globe. Good luck!

I have NO IDEA why a couple of the reviews were so low. Bad batteries is hardly a reason to trash this globe. It is great and has lasted almost a year now. It has been an easy way to end some family debates about sizes and population. It has many interesting facts built in that easily turn a 5 minute "look" into a 30 minute discussion. My only fripe with products like this is the "music" sampling. A country's national anthem "theme music" doesn't help learn music history.

We absolutely love this toy...in fact, we like all the Playskool gear toys. It is not just something to look at, it moves too! There is a handle on the back so the toy can be easily pushed and pulled. When it moves all the gears (and also the eyeball) rotate around. Our daughter loves it when we push it around, she will grab it and move it herself, and she ABSOLUTELY adores when we roll over her with it!! The noise this makes when moved instantly attracts her as well. There are little fabric pieces on top of its head that provide a soft surface on the otherwise plastic toy that she can grab at. The gears are detachable and very easy for a child to lift up themselves (our daughter carries them off with her frequently). The coolest thing is that the gears on this toy are compatible with the other gear toys from Playskool (Busy Gears and Musical Ball and Gear Center). Bonus!

After I bought this, I sort of had buyers remorse. I really wasn't sure if my 8 month old twins would be into it at all. I was wrong, they love it! They love both the gears and the critter. They love to chew on the gears, bang them on the floor and hold them. The handle/tail on the critter is great for little hands to push and pick up. I can entertain them for a long time, pushing this toy across the floor and having them chase after it. This toy is one of the first toys they go after, so glad I purchased it.

My daughter received this as a christmas gift and just loves it! The toy is extremely durable and very interactive, with twisty gears and wheels and eyes that draw her interest. The best is that the gears are removable and the toy can interact with others in the series, so it is also somehting that will grow with her and not get pushed to the bottom of the toy box as she gets older. The colors are fabulously bright and the large handle makes it super-easy for my little one to push around.

My little one is 10 months now and loves this toy. He likes to pull out the "gears" as well and try to make the gears go! It is nice that it does come apart (the gears come out of the critter) so a child can learn to reassemble as well as chose to play however they want. After purchasing the LeapFrog® Tag Reading System and having my son work through the "Ozzie and Mack" book that came with it, I realized that I would need to get him a book that was much more in line with his interests.

Enter "Kung Fu Panda"! The movie was awesome, the story was awesome and the lessons were awesome. In short, the book was awesome. It continues to inspire spontaneous acts of Kung Fu movements in the car, the dinner table and just about any place where my son can flex his little body. He really enjoyed it. A friend purchased the Leap Frog Tag for her 4 year-old son recently. We sat and watched as our boys were captivated by every wordat the playground on a sunny afternoon in Seattle, no less. I knew this would be my son's 4th birthday present. The other mom and I agreed to trade books over time. My son LOVES his. He sits and "reads" alone and has memorized Kung Fu Panda, which happens to be his favorite movie. We are not big on TV, movies or electronics for kids but this is fantastic. Highly recommend.

I got this toy as one of my daughter's first birthday presents. She turned one in January (2013) and this toy is already broken (May 2013). The wood is very durable, but the elastic string connecting the wings is not. Perhaps we just had a bad accident where the toy landed just the wrong way and the toy won't break for anyone else, but this was just my experience. I'm sad and I'm not sure if I should buy another one or not. My daughter did like the toy a lot.

My daughter got this last Christmas she was 18 months. She still loves it and sings along with her ABC's. Now our son, 10 months, adores it. It's a lifesaver in the car when I'm trying to drive I can hear them babbling along with it, singing, changing gears, sounds, and honking their own horn. It distracts them wonderfully during rush hour a time when most babies and toddlers are cranky, and so are we. This way we get to make the commute home a little nicer and educational.

Surprisingly, it's one of the few toys they willingly share. I don't understand why, but I'm not going to question why. I'm just going to be grateful for the peace it gives me during my commute, and the joy it gives my kids.

It's also easily cleaned. (a very big plus). It has volume control and an off switch also very important. There are several different settings, so you don't find yourself listening to the same thing over and over and over again. There's songs, counting, alphabet, as well as driving and environmental sounds, and visual stimulation for them also on the screen. It's also very durable, since I keep it in the car (I won't take it out, since I'm afraid I might forget it at home.) Both my kids have dropped it a number of times and so have I. And it still works as great as it did the day we got it.

We bought this toy for our sons 1st birthday. He loved it. He would sit for 20-30 minutes just playing with it. At the same time we were working with our 2 daughters on learning the alphabet and the sounds of each letter. Well one day while ds was playing with the toy both our daughters sat down on either side of him and started saying the alphabet and learning the sounds. I never expected this toy to entertain a 1 yr old, 3 yr old, and 5 yr old all at the same time. It has truly been a blessing and made teaching the alphabet so much easier and fun.

Buy Famemaster 4D Vision Crocodile Anatomy Model

I am not aware of anything even close to this type of model for the price. My students enjoy it. the directions for putting it together are confusing and the clear plastic parts do not stay in place well at all. My model is used primarily for display but because of some of the clear plastic falling off does not lend itself to much handling.
