Discount Peavey Electronics Co. - Marvel Guitar Pick Pack Peavy Heroes 1
They were well received and even showed up in a timely manner. The only thing I didn't like is that they weren't spread out in the packaging. They just came stacked together so you'd have to open them to display them which is what the recipient does.We bought these as a gift for our friend. He thought they were so cool that he did not even want to take the out of the case but rather wanted to stick them in a collectors case!

Best First Grade LeapPad Book: Amazing Bible Stories Deals
My 4 year old son loves this book. He has 8 books for his Leap Pad, and this is his favorite. We take this book with his Leap Pad to church, plug in his head phones, and he is entertained (and learning!) through the whole service. The colorful illustrations have many embedded sounds and my son spends hours putting his pen on all the pictures to hear their captions and songs. There are 7 Old Testament Bible stories that are kid favorites, including David & Goliath and Noah's Ark. At the end of the book, there is a fun "Wheel of Fortune" type game that asks kids to match the people from the various stories with events (don't forget there is also a game on each page). And most importantly, the stories themselves are Biblically accurate. If you child is learning Bible stores for the first time or already knows them well, s/he will thoroughly enjoy this book.

My 4 year old has the zondervan NIrV version of this bible, so when I saw they made it into a leap pad game, with all his favorite old Testament stories (Adam and eve, Noah and the ark, Moses, Joseph and the well, David and Goliath, Jonah and the big fish), we just had to get it for Christmas. It has great games on each page teaching them the true false concept, asking questions like: "Is it true that Jonah wanted to go to Ninevah? Yes or no?" The last page is a trivia game about all the stories, and it is set up like the game Hollywood Squares. I hope they make a new testament version!!!Honest reviews on First Grade LeapPad Book: Amazing Bible Stories

Discount 24 Game Double Digits
The game 24 math challenge is awesome. I bought single and double digits games for my 5th grade daughter. Her school was holding a tournament. She came in first place. She learned so much and picked it up very quickly. I highly recommend this game. You really have to know your multiplication facts and patterns. This game is very educational and more importantly...FUN!!!!!!!! I highly recommend it.

My son found out about this game at school and pestered me endlessly to get it for him. Over the months since then he's played it so much that his ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply in his head has become pretty amazing. Granted he did like math to begin with which probably helps a lot but this game has really helped to bring his grade up. Amazing what you can get away with when you call it a game instead of educational. There are three levels of cards from fairly easy to pretty hard so it isn't too hard to get a child started on it.Best Deals for 24 Game Double Digits

megcos Magnetic Numbers in a Blister Card, 37-Piece Review
These are exactly as I would have thought they were. The magnetic strength is adequate. The magnet doesn't appear to be too hard to take away from the metal surface, but at the same time, it isn't so weak that the magnets fall or move out of place.
Included in the set:
*(3) of each of the numbers 0-9 (You could probably double the 6's as 9's and vice versa if you needed to. They look similar, but not exactly the same)
* In the set I received, no colors were duplicated within the numbers (i.e. all of the 0s were different colors, all of the 1s were different colors, etc, and there weren't (2) red 7s or anything like that) I'm not sure if that is how all sets are, but that's how mine arrived.
* (1) of each operator: +, x, and division sign
* (3) subtraction signs (could double as a slightly smaller 1 if needed)
* (2) longer lines to use under the equation
The numbers measure just under 1.25" long, so make sure you heed the warnings that these are not for small children.

Best Little Tikes Dirt Diggers 2-in-1 Dump Truck Deals
My 2yo son got this for Christmas and it's already made it to a storage box. The back part that can also be used as a bucket comes off with just the slightist pressue. So, if he wants to use it as a truck and he tries to push it along, the back falls right off. If he wants to pick it up by the handle (what you should typically be able to do), it comes apart with NO force. What makes it worse is that the back panel that opens to unload the dirt also flaps open with no effort. So even if he just used the back part as a bucket, he couldn't fill it with anything because the end opens up with the first scoop of sand. What a piece of junk.

The back bucket comes off and becomes a sand toy, which is neat, but that's about all this is good for, because unfortunately, the back bucket comes off at the SLIGHTEST touch, so you can't use it as a truck! All it does is frustrate my son, who makes me put it back together every 10 seconds.Best Deals for Little Tikes Dirt Diggers 2-in-1 Dump Truck
I bought this for my son because he loves to push trucks. The minute I took it out of the packaging the bucket fell off and I knew it would be trouble. The bucket is designed to be removable, but I can't even touch the truck without it falling off. I'm constantly having to put it back on when my son plays with it. I also bought the front end loader and I have not had any problems with it.Honest reviews on Little Tikes Dirt Diggers 2-in-1 Dump Truck

The Learning Journey PC Playbook Review
I bought this for my very young grand child. Even at 6 months she loved it right away and still uses it 24 months later. A sturdy and reliable toy. My son actually took it one day as the family needed it for a long road trip with the children. Buy it you won't be disappointed.Bought this for my baby when he was around 3 months old. He is now close to 2 years and still the device is in great condition. He has throws the device many times on the hard ground but device seems very rugged and with good plastic. The functions are still working and all keys are in place. The features are good and overall a good buy for your baby.

I use this material in my Montessori classroom, and there is rarely a time when there is not a child using it. When introducing it to a child, I teach them to find the "1" and then follow the arrows and I insist upon the importance of always tracing the numbers in the correct directions. It's the perfect follow-up to the tactile sandpaper numbers, because it adds the skill of holding a writing utensil when tracing, while still providing guides and the magnets as an extra attention grabber. I also have the kids "erase" the magnets with their finger the same way the traced them, so they get that extra sensory experience as well as double practice with tracing each number. My only complaint is that the magnet pen is a little bit too strong, and sometimes pulls up magnets that are not right under it. This means that sometimes the whole number gets completed without the child having to drag the pen all the way around. This is especially an issue with the number 8. I just implore the kids to make sure they trace the whole number, even if it tries to finish itself first! Overall, I love this material and so do the kids.
The only cons I have found are that sometimes a few of the magnetic balls get stuck & won't go back down which frustrated my kids when they want to "rewrite" their number. I think this has only happened to 2 balls in the year & a half we have owned this. My twin 2 year old girls also enjoy playing with this but if they aren't bring shown how to "write" with the pen, they just scribble & pull the magnetic balls up randomly, which may defeat the educational value of learning to write, but at 2 years old it is actually encouraging to hold a pen & work on their fine motor skills. This is a great educational toy but don't expect your kids to be writing numbers on paper after playing with this for a few hours!

I had trouble with my son wanting to practice writing. This made it a little more fun and he was willing to practice. Also, these are good in the car or on the airplane. They're really portable. However, we did manage to lose the pen. After searching the internet, I discovered that the manufacturer planned for this problem. If you go to kidoproducts.com, you can purchase replacement pens for $3 each. You simply have to click on products and then buy now and the pen comes right up. You can use paypal so you don't have to worry about the site. I am very pleased with this toy and the customer service who walked me through the process quickly. Not to mention, a person picked up their customer service right away with no annoying automated system.Best Deals for Kid O 0 to 9 Magnatab
I bought this for my four year old son (three at the time) per recommendation of his preschool teachers. Another child had brought this toy in & he enjoyed playing with it for a while. It is great for teaching him to write his numbers....as long as we don't lose the magnetic pen...which we recently have. The only cons I have found are that sometimes a few of the magnetic balls get stuck & won't go back down which frustrated my kids when they want to "rewrite" their number. I bought this for my son to go with the ABC's tablet that he already had from this company. He's two and a half and in playing with it, I can tell that he feels a sense of accomplishment when he gets all the little balls to come up, so it seems like a good tool for building his confidence. If you're looking for a device that will teach children to write numbers properly, I don't think this is it. While it does have some educational value, they don't have to drag the stylus in the proper direction to get results. It is a fun and creative means for getting them more excited about numbers though. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that a couple of the magnetic balls don't come up on it. Also, I wish that they offered replacement styluses because it's very difficult to keep track of them!Sunday, August 10, 2014

Best Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Rumble & Learn Driver Deals
I bought this for my 3 year old child with Special Needs. He loves music and cars. It's really difficult to move all the pieces on such a compact space. Even I have difficult pulling and pushing the 'light' knob. The music is great but mostly he just pushes the horn and that gets really old.

This is my 7 month old's favorite toy and has been for the past month and a half. At first it was a bit awkward for him to play with until we figured out that it was the perfect size to put on his highchair tray. Now while I'm getting his meals ready he sits in his chair and waits patiently, honking the horn and making screetching sounds. When the food is gone I just wipe the tray and put this toy back on there for him to play with and he will play the whole time I'm cleaning things up right up until I take him out of the chair for his nap!!! Also I love that it teaches him a little bit of Spanish while he's playing and the fact that it is so interactive. For us it was definately worth the price!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Rumble & Learn Driver
Although she can tip this toy over, my baby girl loves it. She sits and plays with it for minutes on end and loves to lay on the horn and turn the wheel. I find the Spanish a bit annoying, but it isn't an issue when I turn it to the sounds only mode. I think it's funny that she is six months old and already likes to burn rubber!Friday, July 25, 2014
Buy Hape Bamboo Mini Hot Rod
This was an add-on to a regular Christmas gift for a 4 year old. What a hit! He and his little sister ignored everything else on Christmas morning and raced these all over the house. They are durable, yet light weight enough to not hurt when they race into an unsuspecting bare foot. I felt better about giving them because they are "greener" than most kid's toys.

I was rather excited at first when I ordered one of these as it looked like an awesome learning tool. So far the only learning I've done is regarding how Amazon's return process works. First once came and the second digit of the 7-segment display had a short somewhere and displayed 9 when it should have displayed 1 as well as a few other irregularities. Amazon was more than happy to take it back and replace it. The good news is the replacement has a working 7-segment display! The bad news...the logic probe is completely non-functional. I'm debating if I even want to bother with another replacement.
Update 1/3/2013:
The second replacement has arrived and thankfully is completely functional. I'm subsequently upgrading my review to 4 stars as I really do like the unit. The build quality in all of them felt very solid despite the two that were malfunctioning. I will add that the manual is poorly written with numerous typos and sections obviously missing. Following the checkout procedures was dodgy at best and had me questioning whether it was really defective or not. It had crossed my mind I might have simply misinterpreted the manual. The newer version of the manual on the manufacturer website was not any better. All in all I'd recommend this workstation since the working one is great and serves my hobbyist needs just fine. That being said if it weren't for Amazon's great return policy I would be thinking twice about recommending it after having to return two.

Charles Krauthammer Magnet Review
If you appreciate well-thought out political and social commentary then you are a Charles Krauthammer fan. This is a great magnet to help keep you in the right frame of mind!!!
Well, I saw this magnet, and I leapt at the chance to get my Krauthammer (widely known among Mendacious, Quasi-Psychopathic, Hateful Conservative Columnist Magnet® collectors as the hardest one to find). I should have waited. This is not a bona fide, genuine Mendacious, Quasi-Psychopathic, Hateful Conservative Columnist Magnet®, but a cheap knockoff, most likely made in some sweatshop by child slaves in some southeast Asian country. Now, we all know that Mr. Krauthammer would likely approve of his magnets being made by child slaves,* but I was hoping for a top-of-the-line magnet, not one made with some unidentifiable radioactive magnetic alloy that irradiated my food to levels inconsistent with safe consumption. I found myself faced with the choice of living with my incomplete collection of Mendacious, Quasi-Psychopathic, Hateful Conservative Columnist Magnets® or going without refrigerated food. It was a hard choice, but I ended up tossing my imitation Charles Krauthammer refrigerator magnet. I know that it may well be years before I can get that last, elusive conservative icon on my refrigerator door, but this is a burden I have learned to live with.

Buy FingerTech S3M Timing Pulley - 30T
FingerTech timing belts and pulleys work really well together. I used their handy web calculator to position the gears to minimize belt slack which worked perfectly for me. Overall very happy. My only regret is that I didn't know about FingerTech on my earlier projects, they would have been so much easier (and might have even worked). Make sure you have an allen wrench to fit the small set screw.
