We bought this cute little ducky as a gift for a friend's daughter who had recently started walking. The duck is easy to push around and the little wings flap up and down. We loved this duck compared to other push toys because it works no matter how tall your child is. The wheels are large enough to accomodate any angle. There are also 2 handles instead of a single ball at the end. Another great thing is that it's made with toxic free paint.
We bought this push toy along with the "Sevi Eco-Friendly Mini Pull Along Toy, Giraffe." It made a perfect combo gift for a new walker and combined it was only around $25. The child absolutely loved them and started walking and playing with them immediately. It was surprising to see that older kids (around 2 years old) also wanted to play with them.I bought this for my son a couple of months ago here on Amazon. I believe it was a different vendor as I only paid around $13.00 for it with Prime Shipping. At that price I felt I got a pretty good deal. The handle is a little shorter than I expected, but my son doesn't seem to have any problem pushing it around. He likes to pretend along with me when I get out the vacuum that he's cleaning the floors too while pushing his duck back and forth. It's a sturdy, solid little toy that my duck-loving son enjoys. :-)

Review of 3B Scientific Glossy Paper The Female Genital Organs Anatomical
Bought this for my granddaughter, who says she wants to be a doctor. She thought it was a bit too explicit, and hung it in the closet, but it was what she asked for, LOL!

Review of The Pioneer Woman Cooks; Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl
I enjoyed reading the book, and also the beautiful pictures and photography that are contained in this cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow, with ingredients I have in my pantry.

Set of 10 pieces IC Texas Instrument/RCA CD4017 CD4017BE 4017 Reviews
My 95 year old stepdad has designed and is building his in-ground sprinkler control unit. The parts and shipping were inexpensive and arrived faster than other places he checked. My husband is an engineer and was surprised and pleased to see the availability for the parts at the price listed. My stepdad is elated and the parts work great. No complaints.

Boikido Eco-Friendly Wooden 5 Pyramid Cubes Review
I bought this for my daughters first birthday after seeing how much she loved playing with the Melissa & Doug cardboard ones a friend had. I was looking for some that were wood so they would be much more durable and these have been perfect. My daughter loves stacking them, putting them in each other, carrying them around, and using individual boxes to put her treasures in :) I love that they are Eco-friendly and non-toxic and seem to be very well made. I am so glad I found thesea hit for sure!

Cheap LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game: Star Wars: The Clone Wars (works
This is my son's most favorite game by far! I am a teacher and love the math concepts that are covered. My five (almost six) year old son loves Star Wars but the games for our Wii and Playstation are too violent for him. He can play this and feel as grown up as his big brother.
We purchased this game to complement the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet sent to us free as part of Amazon's Vine program. My son is a fan of Star Wars, so we chose this game not knowing the tablet would be pre-loaded with several other apps and interactive books.
The amount of math learning he gets out of this cartridge game is negligible. He starts second grade next week and already has a good handle on basic fractions. However, you won't find many kids his age complaining about reinforcing math lessons with a light saber.
I don't recommend this game if your child already owns a handheld gaming system like the Nintendo DS or the Sony PSP. The game play, graphics and sound on the LeapPad system are fine for children who haven't experienced the games available on those other systems. Unfortunately (or not), my sons have Nintendo DS game systems, so they regularly play Star Wars games like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
In summary, this was a perfect end-of-summer purchase. We were already getting our sons ready for the new school year, so a Star Wars game that reinforced geometry, fractions and place value was a nice change of pace from the Nintendo DS and Xbox 360 games. The LeapFrog game is value priced, considering most handheld gaming titles run more than twice the cost.
Rating: Four stars.

Star Wars and math lessons: talk about a spoonful of sugar! This was another game that I bought for my 6 year old (and my 5 year old loves to watch it); Skills are challenging and definitely enjoy when he asks me for help. Once you get them going on the concept they roll with it.Honest reviews on LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game: Star Wars: The Clone Wars (works
This game is very good for young learners. It teaches a basic understanding of fractions as well as number order and number values. Both of my boys enjoy this game and find the challenges suited to their level of learning. They also really enjoy beating up the droids.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game: Star Wars: The Clone Wars (works
So my brother is 5, and yes the toy says for 6-9, yet it has some things that i don't remember learning til i was later on in school (and i am, and always have been, an advanced student). He enjoys the game simply because you get to battle the droids just like in the game on Wii and dsi. However, in order to play, you do have to go through the educational sections of the game, and those are a bit difficult. It has things like fractions, and other things that are harder. I couldn't imagine a 9 year old playing this game, and i think that the game is too difficult for anyone, even though you can't really lose on it. he doesn't enjoy the game overall because he can't pass some of the educational levels. I would not suggest this game to anyone looking to order for kids under 8.Tuesday, September 2, 2014
Review of Leapfrog Tag Activity Storybook Ben 10 Alien force: Wanted: Kevin
We always love Leapfrog products and this is no exception. My son is four years old and not yet a reader. He loves Ben 10, so we got him the Tag system with several of the books, including this one. It is one of the most interactive (better than "Ozzie and Mack" and the pirate book, not that they are bad by any means). My son loves to hear the various alien characters make their sounds.
We have only had the books for about two weeks, but it has not yet motivated him to learn to read. (We are using the Bob books for early literacy.) That being said, I think that it is important for him to learn that books are fun and that he can have fun with them all on his own (no adults required).
My son is a typical four-year-old. One of his first acts was to tear a page out of this book. (The paper is high-quality and thick.) I used scotch tape to tape it back in the book, and the page still works 'fine.'
If you have a four-year-old and you are choosing between Tag and and Leapster, my recommendation is to go with the Leapster. It is a more flexible, long-term toy. Of course, you can be like us and get both!
Would recommend to others.

This isn't your typical storybook; rather, it's in a style of a comic book, with panel to panel illustrations. Because of it, you can't use your TAG pen to read random words like your typical TAG storybooks. When you hold your pen over any of the word balloons (a term that refers to one chunk of dialogue spoken by a character on the page), it will read the whole sentence. That's the trade-off of having gorgeous panel by panel illustrations and it's also a great way of introducing how to read a comic book for your kids. Also, when you "TAG" a character, I thought it was neat that they'll have something else to say, other than what's written on their word balloon. Best of all, each character (Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and all of the aliens Ben turns into) sounds just like their counterparts from the TV episodes. It seems like Leapfrog went all out in hiring the original voice actors of the show, not to mention hiring Charlotte Fullerton (one of the writers of the Ben 10 TV series and comic books) to write the book and Min S. Ku (a DC comics artist) to provide the illustrations. One of the better TAG books in terms of content and fun...Best Deals for Leapfrog Tag Activity Storybook Ben 10 Alien force: Wanted: Kevin

VTech Letter Book Reviews
This is a great tool for helping kids learn while playing and having fun. Good way to start them off learning letters, sounds. Not sure about writing...haven't gotten that far.

I bought this for my niece's 3rd birthday and she was so happy with it. My sister tells me she plays with it everyday and has learned so much from it. I bought her the one that says a for ant and b for bee this one on amazon has different words for the letter but it's still the same toy. So glad I made my niece happy.Best Deals for VTech Letter Book
My daughter is only 2 years of age. She received this toy as a birthday gift. She loves pushing buttons so she loves this toy. I wouldn't recommend this as an "educational" toy. The mechanical voice isn't clear enough for her to understand what's being said, but she does enjoy the fact that it makes noise in response to pushing a button!Vtech Write & Learn Letter BookHonest reviews on VTech Letter Book
I bought this for my four year old grandson, to help with letter formation. As your finger starts to follow and trace the letter, the voice goes back to the beginning and never gets to the ending steps. Also, it jumps around from one activity to another as you turn pages. Seems like there should be a separate "story" button. I had to send the first one I ordered back because the volume was too low and could not be turned up. The volume is o.k. on this one, but I wonder if the wiring is off in other areas. It's just not what I was expecting, as other Vtech items I have purchased were quite good.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for VTech Letter Book

my 19 month old got this toy for xmas and he loves it. he loves to spin the gears and he takes them off and puts them to the matching color. under the gears are little pegs that they attach to. the pegs match the color of the gear in the spot they belong. very educational when it comes to teaching colors. it doesn't have the distraction of electronics.Best Deals for Melissa & Doug Caterpillar Gear Toy
Our 15 month old granddaughter is fascinated with this gear toy. The movement interests her, the colors are bright and as she gets a little older, she will be able to match the colors and put the gears back on the pegs. Good toy!Honest reviews on Melissa & Doug Caterpillar Gear Toy
My 19month old daughter doesn't play with this much. She is pretty bored with it after about 2minutes but I just think she likes more challenging toys (puzzles/stackers, etc). The colors are rich. The spinner pieces are made of hard plastic but very well made and the base is made of wood. My daughter throws all the parts all the time and they withstand her torture. All parts must be on the base for all pieces to spin together...cute concept but doesn't keep her interest much!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Melissa & Doug Caterpillar Gear Toy
I don't know why it's a caterpillar, but that's my only complaint. This toy is simple and fun. The gears are easy to spin, even for uncoordinated baby fingers. It's neat that the gears come off the wood block; it invites creative use. My 13 month old enjoys hiding them.Wednesday, August 20, 2014
Discount Gund Baby Chester Happi Owl 10" Plush by Dena Design
I ordered this owl to go with my Deni Happi Tree nursery theme. It doesn't really look like any designs I have in the nursery except for the big eyes. Besides the red heart on the side, it has a pink heart under the beak. I find it strange looking and was a little disappointed how flat it is. Was expecting it to be a little more rounded or fuller. It will not stand up on its own, but will if propped up against a pillow or wall. Seems durable and is soft. The baby is too little to play with it so it is just an accessory piece. I still think it is a strange looking owl, but it is kind of cute in an alien looking way. It arrived in good condition. This toy is as adorable as I was expecting! I can't get over the cuteness. Its also well made and soft and cuddly and much bigger than I was expecting. Well worth the money!

List Price: $225.00
Sale Price: $185.70
Today's Bonus: 17% Off

In this box are materials for 12 hands-on lab stations in addition to practical ideas for teaching the basics of weather forecasting in middle school or high school. Through the lab stations students will learn how changes in pressure, temperature and humidity interact to create weather phenomena. They will model fronts, investigate cloud types and track local weather changes over several weeks. I use four or five of these Videolabs throughout the year in my high school earth science class. I have found nothing better for helping my students understand the abstract concepts of earth science and helping me differentiate instruction. Interspersing direct instruction with group rotations through the stations allows teachers to address the spectrum of learning styles. If you are looking for ideas to energize your teaching, these Videolabs are a great value.

9830 Breadboard-Prototype Design Aid Review
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $7.95
Sale Price: $6.72
Today's Bonus: 15% Off

The packaging and paperwork had nothing to make me believe that this was actually an Elenco 9830 so it's probably a knock off. Also it was below the wholesale price of the Elenco unit (I have distributor pricing access). But they did ship the product and it arrived promptly. I haven't gotten around to checking it electrically yet.
I recommend this product if you're looking for a simple board, yet large enough to handle medium size projects, get one of these, or get a couple and they will lock together.

I like this breadboard. And I just pulled the sticker off the back because it was pointless. However, a copper wire's tip broke off inside the breadboard and I can't get it out.Best Deals for 9830 Breadboard-Prototype Design Aid
Nothing special about it. Works great. No problems. The backing that holds it together is not adhesive on the bottom, like some breadboards are -it just holds it together, nothing else. Sometimes, the power supply rails start to wiggle their way out if I'm holding it awkwardly rather than using the breadboard on the table or something, but it's not too bad.Honest reviews on 9830 Breadboard-Prototype Design Aid
I bought 5 of these boards. They are great. Great price, and they are attachable. For example, you can take off the supply rails and attach them both at one side. Or, what I like to do, you can take two boards and interlock them together. I like how you can do this.I recommend this product if you're looking for a simple board, yet large enough to handle medium size projects, get one of these, or get a couple and they will lock together.

This breadboard isn't the best construction. The price is great but it is held together by a crappy paper backer-board and I wouldn't count on it for long-term use.Sunday, July 20, 2014
Buy Prism, Equilateral 4" ~ Glass
I wanted a prism for no reason... Mostly just to spend money on a gift card and saw a science channel program on them so why not?
The prism is fine other then a small chip where the paper they wrapped it in caught a corner and ripped. It still works (kind of hard not to) but I wouldn't let small kids play with it since it could cut little fingers if your not careful...
Per my request of a refund the seller replied:
"We are sorry that the item is not exactly what you expected. Per the description of this item we do state that it may contain small chips and/or defects. We have checked our current stock and most if not all of them have some sort of chip and/or defect in them which is why we list it as such."
So, I've spent another $3 to mail the thing back, and got $9.95 refunded. Seller retained their "shipping" charge of $6.95.
Bottom line: I would not recommend buying items from this seller, unless, of course, you are looking for items with "chips and/or defects."

I wanted an evenly shaped triangular glass prism to show the light spectrum as a physics demonstration. The prism I've got had several chipped pieces of glass near the edge of the prism. More upsettingly, the edges were uneven essentially, the prism was not really equilateral as specified.Per my request of a refund the seller replied:

Optical prisms are extremely expensive. I have never had a prism in my HS classroom supplies that was as nice as this one. ...a very nice weight. It's glass!!! Great for the scientific minded precocious child!!! The equilateral prism is the best for general light color spectrum demonstrations. Would not recommend for younger child. They might hurt themselves.
