My folks bought this little bag of groceries for my 8-month old son, and it has been a huge hit ever since. He loves playing with everything in the bag--the banana you can "peel," the chiming apple, the crinkly cabbage, the orange that opens--even the bag. His absolute favorite is the milk carton, which is smooth and smooshy and has a little mirror. I think it feels good on his gums (he's teething ferociously).

We bought this as a half-birthday present for my six month old son. We live in a small house and don't have a whole lot of room for a ton of toys, so when we shop for him, we make an effort to find toys that will keep him busy for a long time without taking up too much space.

This set definitely fits the bill. It's small enough that I often carry it around in my backpack when we're out and about during the day. For him, it's really six toys in one-he'll play with each of the foods individually, then play with the bag.

The foods themselves have a lot of play potential. My son is still at the stage where he mostly likes to chew on them, crinkle the crinkly bits, and whack things with the foods. But as he gets older, I expect he'll start exploring the objects a little more, starting to find things like the mirror in the milk container, the way the banana peels, etc.

The only thing I _don't_ like about the set: the material that covers the apple is a sort of nylon, and as my little guy chews on it, it's starting to look distinctly fuzzy. Still seems safe, but I'm surprised how worn it looks after relatively little play. (This is not a problem with the other foods, though, which all still look great.)

Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for a 6 month old, and I think a 1 year old would still have fun with it as well.

I bought this for my niece's first birthday. She loved it!!! The bag is soft and the grocery items are so cute. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be but is the perfect size for her. I would highly recommend this gift for a little boy or girl. It is also a good way to teach kids about fruits and vegetables...which I didn't think about until just now.

The toy itself is super adorable. The grocery bag is brown felt, the orange is a corduroy type material that opens to reveal the 'inside' of an orange. The banana is felt and the little peel has Velcro on the ends so you can peel and unpeel it. The apple is this silky spandex type material that has a sweet little jingle on the inside. The cauliflower has those crinkly leaves that babies seem to think are a drug because they just can't get enough of the sound, and the little milk jug is vinyl which opens up at the top to reveal a little mirror. So sweet and adorable. And we don't let our daughter play with it because it has a horrible smell of formaldehyde. My mom got this for her last Christmas (2010) and it STILL smells. We have allowed it to 'air out' for months. It makes me so darn sad because I know she'd love it. I hope I'm the only one with this problem.

I ordered this product for a Christmas gift for my 11 year old niece. She is picky about gifts. She got this gift and it was being put together the next day... I think she thoroughly enjoyed it. it was just as i have seen on CSI before when they try to do skeletal reformation. I would recommend it.

This kit is okay, but there is opportunity to improve it. For example, there is a printed booklet that comes with the kit that provides cases (short whodunit scenarios) and guidelines on what's needed to solve them (...for this, you'll need the fingerprint items and..). It comes with all the necessary things to 'solve' each and follows basic CSI techniques fingerprinting, bite impressions, tread impressions, etc.

What would be more impactful is making this multimedia part 39 Clues, part Scene It, maybe. Go to a website to compete with other CSI detectives or to get more cases...or watch the DVD scenario and then....

My son was into it for about 2 hours, during which he solved three of the cases. It's kind of one-trick pony...once solved or you figure out the mechanics of solving, you're kind of over it. He hasn't picked it up since.

If you are looking for a good quality but economically feasible skull for an art project or Halloween, look no further. This resin skull is definitely both Budget and Fourth Quality, but is far above the quality of anything you will find in stores. Detail of seams, graduation of bones, teeth, even areas of tendon attachment are represented fairly well, and the material used to make it is incredibly durable.

The only complaint I have is the hinges and the closing clasp being inferior quality, but then again you get what you pay for. Replacing the hinges and clasp with something better shouldn't be a problem.

Overall, this is a steal.

I received this item in pieces. It was packed in a box and then inside an Amazon box. The interior box was open. half the eyes socket and nose were broken off, teeth were missing from the skull, and the springs that hold the jaw on were broken. I know it is a fourth quality skull and a little glue will fix it right up, but you would expect that an item at this price would be in better condition. I fell like I bought a used item.

It is what it is...4th quality. Skull doesn't match up (substantial recessed gap from forehead to top half of skull (1/4"). The hooks to hold skull on are useless because they too don't match up. The skull it self is .....ok. I wanted to use it to cast molds from, but it look is like I will have to do some extra work to smooth out some mismatched areas. I think I would have spent a few extra buck to get a higher quality skull. I imagine for instructional use it would be fine!

Although my daughter is almost too young for it, my 4 1/2 year old loves the rhymes. After all it's Dr. Seuss! If you are used to reading the books this is a little awkward.Reading the book would be easier than flipping the pages and pressing go all the time. But if you leave the kids to play with it they do keep busy for a while and it does have more rhymes and games than the book. There are some good deals price-wise out there too.

A pre-school teacher told me that I had to get this stacker. It didn't look that much different from others in the pictures, but it is incredible in about a hundred ways! First, it wobbles -safer and more fun. Then, each disc is numbered and has that number of objects painted on it -in the color of the next disc!!! Hard to explain but really let's kids figure out patterns and colors. Most fun it that there are three really cute animal heads, so when the kids have done the stacking, they make up little stories about the animals. Mine have even given them each names, and they make up different stories every day. I just saw that this won some awards, and it deserves them!

These are simply THE BEST!!! We bought our Daughter that Pink Plastic Easel most kids have. It also comes in blue for boys. It comes with a magnetic dry erase board on one side and a chalkboard on the other side. Well the magnets that come with it are not attractive or made very well and easily fit in a lil ones mouth. So we bought these! They are too big for lil ones to bite and are so much better in every way! Big, easy to grasp and so Cute & Fun!!!

These are really great for the kitchen refrigerator or something similar, but I will say that the magnets are a little weaker than I would have wanted them to be...and they definitely have a smell about them. Good product for sure, but the smell is odd...

My 18 month old just opened this toy for Christmas, and she LOVES it! I can't say how durable it will be, but I have high hopes for it, considering they letters/numbers are made of foam. I think they will probably get lost before they tear or break. Maybe she could take small bites out or something, but we will be watching her while she plays anyway. I read someone's review that said it was hard to tell what some of the letters were... I agree, but only for a few. M and W seem pretty interchangeable. I can't tell which way is up on I. But I don't really think either of those things matters. All in all, I love this toy, and so does my daughter!

When I received these I was disappointed after reading the reviews the letters are very hard to read my daughter is 15 months and as she is a very smart little lady these letters will be hard to work with her with because they a difficult to make out what it is not for teaching purposes but are fun to play

The magnets won't detach, the letters are bright and fun, they are easily picked up by little fingers... This is exactly what I was looking for. My 1 year old loves them. I recommend these over any plastic or wooden magnetic letters/numbers.

I have collected various Montessori materials over the years for my children to use at home to supplement what they are learning at school. The stamp game is used for basic math operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Typically used after the child has mastered the bead material and the multiplication and division boards since is allows for more complex operations. It is also a very useful tool to teach a child that math operations are not just numbers but quantities that are being manipulated. The included problem paper is nice but not a necessity.

As the other review has stated, there are no instructions included. I have found this to be the case with most Montessori material that I have purchased. These materials are typically designed to be used in a school and not a home setting typically by teachers who are trained in the Montessori methods and would know how to use the material. It is very easy to google and find videos and instructions on how to use just about any Montessori material. For myself, I have found the Montessori directresses to be the most helpful resource.

I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in and familiar with the Montessori methods who is looking to provide the same materials at home that their child/children use at school.

My daughter LOVED this at her montessori school, but we had to move out to the middle of nowhere to a traditional school. Thinking this would be a fun activity for her to continue, I ordered it but we can't do anything with it because I don't know HOW to. It really needs to come with some type of guidance. If you are in a montessori school, I would recommend utilizing your school resources so that you can use this activity at home.
