The piece of Orange Calcite I received was a sizable piece like the photo, shaped well for rubbing, and bright in color. It's a nice stone. Orange Calcite is a highly energizing and cleansing stone especially for the lower chakras. It balances emotions, removes fear, and overcomes depression (you should still see your doctor). Using 25 Watt iron and enough solder to cover the pads easily damages the circuit board. Pads then become lifted and broken off, but this is invisible to the eye. The toy then does not work because there are multiple broken connections. Spent an hour fixing it very frustrating! Otherwise great toy!

I bought this product to make as a gift in addition to other things on Valentine's Day. When the kit arrived, it was a bit smaller than expected, but still had that "Cute" appeal to it. I opened everything up and counted everything out and there was an extra LED and everything else was fine.

The board is relatively poor in quality, but not as poor as some of the reviews. It's certainly not something you want to solder too long and the pads do lift easily. If you are careful, and have some patience though, you should be able to assemble this within an hour or so easily. The instructions are relatively decent, but I don't understand the third screw near the bottom. Even though it is a small board, the LEDs are bright and make an impressive show. Overall a quick, decent project. The seller perhaps charges a little much for this kit, but it was fun.

this is a relatively simple little electronics kit that makes a great gift if you know how to do some soldering. it was relatively simple to assemble, I referenced the picture of the completed item to make sure i wasn't putting in anything backwards. My boyfriend bought and made this for me for Valentine's Day I thought it was very sweet and unique, especially seeing I like geeky stuff. He said it didn't take him very long to put together (maybe half an hour) and had fun doing it. My only complaint is that there isn't an ON/OFF switch and that you have to take the entire battery out to stop it flashing. But for only $10, you can't go wrong!

I bought this one before my baby was born and he was just enthralled with it from day one. Whenever I pushed down on the star and the thing lit up, he just was mesmerized by it. Then, he decided that, being the engineer that he is, he'd rather play with it without the stars on it so he can see how it works. He just loves that! It's just so very pretty when it lights up and it also teaches coordination. He still plays with it and he's now three. Definitely a fanstastic purchase, one that can withstand having food dumped on it, being tossed onto the floor numerous times, you name it and it is still just like new.

This is my son's favorite toy, and for eleven bucks that's quite a deal. He literally can play with this toy for hours if given the opportunity. He's learned to press the button on the top that plays the music, and as soon as he does, he looks at everyone in the room and gives them a "look how smart I am" smile. It's hilarious! He's just now learning (at 12 months) how to put the stars back on the base. He couldn't do this a couple of months ago; he could only get them off, so it has grown with him. I put scotch tape over the speaker because there is no volume control and it can be quite loud. The tape still lets the tunes be heard, but now I don't have to talk over it! My mother is a daycare provider and she also has this toy, and her children love it, too; they even fought over it until she bought another one. That means I know of at least three children who can't get enough of this toy. It's worth its weight in gold!

Our 11 month old has been playing with this toy since he was 6 months old. He really likes the lights, sounds and music. However, I was disappointed that the stacker is shaped like a cylinder so you can put the stars on in any order you choose. So it does not teach children that the big star goes on the bottom and get smaller as you go up. Also, the star that goes on top is cute, but it almost never gets used in conjuction with the stacker. It didn't take long for our baby to figure out that you just have to press the button on the top to get the music to play.

I was looking for some that were wood so they would be much more durable and these have been perfect. This is a great book for little fingers! It is great for little ones that love to explore textures and flaps as many of the animals feature felt pieces that are moveable (i.e. the lion's mane, the panda's ears and hands). It is also has a more "attractive" look than some baby books, which makes it a win/ win (let's be honest, us mommies have to look at these toys all day, too!

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel like they could've made a few of the pages a little more interesting for little fingers instead of sewing all the pieces down. For example, the pages with the tiger, monkey, crocodile and elephant have no pieces that are made to be flaps, but they easily could've been. The tiger's hands or the elephant's ear, etc. Probably nit-picky, but that would take this book 5-star level.

Otherwise, I absolutely love this book and highly recommend it for babies during tummy time, for those learning to sit up, etc. It would also make a great gift since it's so cute ;)

Cheap AmScope 3.5X-45X LED Boom Stand Stereo Zoom Microscope + 5MP Camera

I purchased this item for inspecting electronics circuit boards, with surface mount components down to 0402 size. It arrived quickly, well packed in two cartons. Self assembly is straightforwards, but be careful not to let the lenses roll of the worksurface! The item is supplied with flat eye guards for spectacle users, not shaped ones.

The stand is very sturdy and even with the boom arm at its fullest extent, there's hardly any unwanted movement or shake as I operate the focus and zoom controls. Spacing between the workpiece and the objective lens leaves room for working and allows me to look at components close to the board that are surrounded by tall components (That's not possible with a loupe eyepiece). Operation of the zoom and focus controls is smooth with plenty of range on both. Brightness of image, clarity of image, depth of field and field of view are all comparable with other binocular microscopes I've used. The LED lighting ring works quite well, but its light is not completely diffused and as a result the shiny surface of solder joints give lots of bright points. I have not experimented with adding a diffuser to trade brightness for uniformity of lighting. The lighting ring came with a 12V adaptor for US 2 pin sockets, I've replaced that with one for the UK. The lighting ring has a dimmer control, very useful. To use the camera, the image for the left eye is changed over to the camera by a pull-rod. It took a few minutes to get used to the camera view being different to the stereo view. The camera itself works reasonably well, but automatic exposure takes a couple of seconds to adjust and that can be a disadvantage when panning across a workpiece with varying brightness levels. The camera can give a shimmering effect at times if the workpiece moves slightly. The software supplied with the camera works quite well and the ability to define the area used for exposure control is useful. Captured camera images are not as good as looking through the eyepieces, but perfectly adequate for illustrating PCB faults. I get the impression the depth of field is smaller through the camera, but that may just be an effect of monocular camera v binocular eyepieces. Overall I'm pleased with the item, very good value for money, solidly built and good quality images. I dropped one star because the camera isn't quite as good as I'd hoped. That might be unkind given the price.

My son loves this game! You can make your car in the beginning by selecting body style, color and one more custom element (flames, engine, spoiler, etc) and you drive along the road like the other games for this system. The games within it are fun. You can pick engines and drop them into different cars. The object is to rev the engine to a certain number on the tachometer. In another game, you crash into the cars with the highest numbers on them and try to get the highest score. Another is a racing game... Its great for kids that like cars. Its a little educational, but he doesn't get it yet. He just likes playing the games. Its rated for 4+ so I am sure he'll figure it out soon.

I bought this for my almost 9 month old because she needed some more toys and I wanted a few that she could enjoy now and grow into.

I decided to get this shape sorter because

No bells and whistles

The wood pieces are from solid wood

The wood peg is held on by strong elastic string so it bends if the baby falls onto it

Educo (Hape Toys) is a Chinese manufacture but meet EU and American standard for toys

Toy shapes appear to be solid wood (web says maple) Base and pegs may be plywood (other main material in product from site)

The box says 12months + but I figured if I took the small pieces out we'd be okay and she will only play supervised right now anyway. The rounded flower pieces are smaller then the star shape pieces. I took the first few of the shapes away from her to save for later. Now there is no choking hazard.

My only complaint is that the peg and the pieces fit snug together. Our daughter at 12 months may not be able to put the shapes on the pegs without help. I may look into sanding down the peg a bit-but for now she is enjoying something new since a rainbow of colors are spread out across the blanket in the living room. She seemed delighted when I gave it to her.

You can mix and match... the posts are the same size.

We really liked that it used elastic to secure the wooden posts to the base... this way if a little kid falls onto it, the posts will easily collapse on their side instead of impaling them.

If you want a stacker that will hold your child's attention, this one is a good choice because it is one of the more interesting ones out there. It manages to hold my girls' attention without the use of any batteries, and that's a major plus for me. It could also be used to teach the basics of sorting. I mix all the pieces together and have them separate them into the 2 different shapes and then stack them.
