I was disappointed to find that the number "13" stamps as "31" because of manufacturing error. This proves difficult to use it in the classroom. As I needed it as a remediation tool immediately, I will be trying to fix it myself. However, very disappointed that for the price there was such a basic error, and now something I wanted to use with ease, has become a problem.

The stamps are a perfect size for my classroom use. I had hoped to use them often, but already 2 have cracked. The "handle" part of the stamp is made of a single piece of formed plastic that has a little give, but if pushed on with much force, will crack. I have been trying to think of a product I could put inside the handles, that would reinforce them before more break. As far as the numbers, they are great, the size is super, all of my students are able to pick them up and place them properly. I teach self-contained special education, my class is upper elementary age some have some motor delays as well.

My 5 year old got these kidnoculars as a gift. When I saw them I figured that she would like them but it turns out that they appealed to her even more than I thought they would. The day she got them she spent the afternoon walking around the house and looking at things through her new kidnoculars. She also had me take her on a walk around the neighborhood so she could look at the birds, grass, trees etc... through the kidnoculars. She spotted some nests (including a little hummingbird nest) and was thrilled. Sometimes, as an adult, it is hard for me to figure out what toys will appeal to my daughter (and I have wasted a decent amount of money because of this). Clearly whoever made this toy spent some time putting themselves in a child's shoes and figuring out what would appeal to a child. Not only are the kidnoculars cute and sturdy but they are fun and educational. My daughter is having a great time with her kidnoculars and I love to see her learning about her world as she plays and explores.

I got these for my 4 year old for his bday this year. He is a nature lover and bird watcher. He sorta tossed them to the side in all the birthday chaos, but lately has really taken to them. His older siblings (6 year olds) both love them too. Not to mention... I love looking through themthey really work well!

Pros-

*they actually work (sounds silly but I didn't expect them to be so focused and clear!)

*fit the face perfectly

*cool colors

*unlike anything else I've seen on the market for kids binoculars

Not really any cons that I feel are worth mentioning.

I would highly recommend them for a first pair. The price is great (I think I paid $13-14). We will be using them in future nature walks.

I reviewed these and absolutely LOVE them! My 4 year old is obsessed. There are no moving pieces or zoom lens so little kids won't get frustrated that something is out of focus. No pinched fingers either! They are VERY durable and will take quite a beating. Plus the front and back have soft "flaps" so that if your kid runs into something it won't hurt them like plastic or metal would. AWESOME product -highly recommend.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My twin toddlers really enjoy looking through the binoculars. It's doesn't zoom in too much so it's easier for their eyes to adjust. It's easy for them to line it up to their eyes and look through.

My only problem w/ the toy is that the string is too thin. As a result, when the toddlers hang the toy on their neck, it cuts into their skin since the binoculars are so heavy. It ends up being pretty painful. Also, the strings twist around and one of my twins almost choked himself since he couldn't get it off of himself.

If you do give it to children, I'd actually recommend taking off the neck string. It's too uncomfortably dangerous. I'm surprised that this sort of long cheap strap came w/ the product.

But, I was judging this fine product by adult standards. My daughter loves it. She checks things out in the front yard, around the house, along the road, and more. She asks to take it with her all the time. If I go to games with her, she will love watching with the binoculars there too. Great toy. Highly recommended.

I am completely blown away by how nice this guitar and set up is for such a low cost. First, it looks great, nice sunburst finish on it, the wood is beautiful, and the neck is really smooth. The strings are NOT too high off the frets which, if they are, if you've ever played, you'll know that it's really uncomfortable to play and change between chords. So, it plays nice and smooth.

All the things that come with it are also really quality madethe gig bag is awesome with a good zippermade to last and take a beating. The amp totally surpasses my expectations of volume and balanced sound.

With how good it sounds, looks, costs, and all the equipment it comes with, I can't say anything bad about this "start playing the guitar NOW" kit. I am absolutely satisfied and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good sounding, good playing guitar without paying the big price tags.

I just got this Guitar yesterday and I could not believe that they call this guitar a beginner Guitar I would play this and a fender of 500 bucks and say that they both play great.

Guitar. Has a very nice finish look it looks like the fender Telecaster look it's from the most legendary guitars it has a very easy touch to learn how to make bars with it. The Guitar also has very good feedbacks and great pickups. What I also love about this guitar is the whammy bar to make the different sounds. The wood looks like high quality wood and rosewood down the frets. The frets are a little ruff but I would say every new guitar is like that I used a sander to sand it down a little to make it smooth what very easy to do.

Me and my buddy made this vid gotta give the guitar strings more time to stretch, it sounds a little out of tune here but, it's got a smooth neck, solid body, a loud little amp and a bunch of extras for cheap. Dig it.

Polarizing microscopes (indispensable to examine rock thin sections) are very expensive products (usually $3,000 and up). Amscope offers this one at less than $300. Of course, at this price, it's not a true polarizing microscope, only a brightfield microscope with a polarizing kit, i.e. a supplemental round stage with a polarizing lens that is set on the original stage and a removable analyzing lens which adapts on the top of the binocular. In a true "pol", the polarizer is under the stage and the analyzer inside the head. The biggest drawback of the polarizing kit is the impossibility to adapt a camera over the analyzer. Another drawback comes from the reduced space between the extra stage and the nosepiece. And, of course there's no Bertrand lens, Koehler illumination etc that characterize full-features pols. But other sellers of brightfields with polarizing kits ask for $700 or more, so Amscope's product is really cheap. Its quality isn't cheap: sturdy construction, good optics (up to x1000 with oil, but x400 is enough for rock thin sections). The documentation is scarce, written in bad English. The packaging is very good and everything arrived in perfect condition. Because of its limitations, this product would deserve only 2 or 3 stars. But there's no free lunch, and for somebody with a limited budget, it offers an excellent way to look at thin sections, hence the 4 stars I give it.

this is a great little toy – perfect for little hands!

the tail, middle and head of this alligator twist, making a cool clicking noise. my baby loves it. and i love that it'll grow with her, too. to start, it's just really cute – with lots of different textured fabrics and little tabs along the alligator's spine. and as her fine motor skills develop she'll be able to twist it herself, too. it's a sweet baby toy but it doesn't feel as baby-ish as others that they outgrow so quickly do. i think this one will be in rotation for a long time!

this would also make a really adorable gender-neutral baby gift! i always love having a few good go-to ideas to get for showers... this is a great option!

While studying volcanoes, I had always wondered what the ash would be like and this gave me a chance to experience it. I especially like the experiment I tried that involved adding a small amount of moisture to the ash and seeing the result, that was pretty cool.

Pros:

A very large quantity of ash (more than you will find pretty much anywhere else). I must admit, I did my math backwards when I first ordered this product. I thought I was getting about a half pound of ash, whereas it was actually 2.2 pounds. Still cool, though, just means I have a lot more to "experiment" with.

Cons:

Since it is a heavier product, if end up having to ship it anywhere, then it might cost you a bit to do so. Just don't be like me, double check your shipping address before finalize your order!

If you do anything besides build a simple circle you will find you need these. We bought two sets of these because of the two innies and two outties pieces. We needed more of those types of pieces. They are absolute musts for any family who enjoys building elaborate train tracks.

These are sturdy well made and have been strong enough to hold up through countless set ups, tear downs and hours of play.

Well worth the money.

My son has severe PICA and has eaten (not just chewed) just about everything he comes in coantact with. This product is AMAZING!! It has virtually eliminated him chewing on anything else! Not only has he almost exclusively been using this product, but also it is incredibly durable! He hasn't chewed off or ingested any of it! He loves the chocolate flavor (he says he is a chocoholic :) and enjoys the different textures (the boxes are his favorite). We will definitely be purchasing more of these!

I ordered these for my kids and one for myself because I'm a chewer too. When I first got them, I could smell the chocolate smell eminating from them and it made my mouth water. The kids were even excited to get it. We opened them up and started knawing on them right away and we were all a bit disappointed. Although it smells like chocolate so much you'll really want to chew on it, it does not have a chocolate taste. The taste is so faint it's more like chewing on plastic while smelling a bar of chocolate. I keep mine in my purse for stressed out times, and the kids took theirs to school for when they're caught chewing on their shirts or pencils, but the teacher informs me that they are not even using them. I would start with a plain one with no flavor and if your child loves it, then move on to these ones. Because you expect to taste something good, and you get sadly dissappointed. The good thing is that they are very strong so it will take a child awhile before completely chewing through them.

Nobody has reviewed this puzzle yet, so I thought I would stop by and give it infinite thumbs up. Full disclosure, though: We don't actually own this puzzle. However, the kiddie room at our local library has it, and it is *awesome.* Our 18-month-old makes a beeline to the puzzle every time we visit the library. In fact, I think she views it as the library's main attraction.

I asked the librarians how long they had had this puzzle. Nobody could tell me for sure, but everyone agreed that it had been at least a few years. The library copy still looks fantastic. The colors are bright; the paints are not chipped or dulled; none of the pieces are bent or broken or splintered; and none of the knobs are loose or missing. Since this puzzle gets beat-up, played-with, thrown, gnawed on, dropped, and used as a weapon by dozens of toddlers, several hours a day, six days a week, fifty weeks a year I'm going to go ahead and say that the quality is excellent.

We have other Ryan's Room puzzles, and I could not be more pleased with them. I did a lot (a lot!) of comparison shopping, and we have puzzles from a few other brands. The Ryan's Room Small World puzzles knock the others out of the park in terms of quality of manufacture and interest for a young toddler.

I hesitated before I got the first Ryan's Room Small World puzzle, since the drawings seemed kind of goofy to me, and the puzzles for other brands looked more cool and stylish. For a toddler, though, the bright, primary colors and not-too-stylized drawings are just the ticket.

The puzzle is plywood and the knobs are plastic. I assume it is made in China like other Ryan's Room puzzles, but I am not 100% sure.

Review of Leapfrog Tag Activity Storybook Ben 10 Alien force: Wanted: Kevin

We always love Leapfrog products and this is no exception. My son is four years old and not yet a reader. He loves Ben 10, so we got him the Tag system with several of the books, including this one. It is one of the most interactive (better than "Ozzie and Mack" and the pirate book, not that they are bad by any means). My son loves to hear the various alien characters make their sounds.

We have only had the books for about two weeks, but it has not yet motivated him to learn to read. (We are using the Bob books for early literacy.) That being said, I think that it is important for him to learn that books are fun and that he can have fun with them all on his own (no adults required).

My son is a typical four-year-old. One of his first acts was to tear a page out of this book. (The paper is high-quality and thick.) I used scotch tape to tape it back in the book, and the page still works 'fine.'

If you have a four-year-old and you are choosing between Tag and and Leapster, my recommendation is to go with the Leapster. It is a more flexible, long-term toy. Of course, you can be like us and get both!

This isn't your typical storybook; rather, it's in a style of a comic book, with panel to panel illustrations. Because of it, you can't use your TAG pen to read random words like your typical TAG storybooks. When you hold your pen over any of the word balloons (a term that refers to one chunk of dialogue spoken by a character on the page), it will read the whole sentence. That's the trade-off of having gorgeous panel by panel illustrations and it's also a great way of introducing how to read a comic book for your kids. Also, when you "TAG" a character, I thought it was neat that they'll have something else to say, other than what's written on their word balloon. Best of all, each character (Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and all of the aliens Ben turns into) sounds just like their counterparts from the TV episodes. It seems like Leapfrog went all out in hiring the original voice actors of the show, not to mention hiring Charlotte Fullerton (one of the writers of the Ben 10 TV series and comic books) to write the book and Min S. Ku (a DC comics artist) to provide the illustrations. One of the better TAG books in terms of content and fun...

There was an article about this toy before it came out in Wired Magazine. It basically interviewed the inventor and peaked my curiosity. So I purchased it. It is an impressive device by any modern day standards. Basically it's a camera that recognizes words and images on specialized paper (the limited series of books that you purchase). Once recognized it plays sound bites or reads the word(s) on the page that you are passing the pen over. It's smartly designed and a child quickly understands how to operate it.

At first it's a game and your child will just want to click on everything to hear the sound bites. As time goes by they start exploring the less than obvious features like read back and games. Before you know it you have a totally transfixed kid. It's great for a long drive and it certainly beats the pants off a dvd. I do believe that this device is positively contributing to my child's learning. I will say that the books vary in quality. I am writing reviews on most of them ; ) so you can follow along if you wish. To start with get Sponge Bob as it is the best of the bunch followed by Kung Fu Panda or Cars.

Last thought if you're still with me. This is a wonderful invention. I do recommend it especially for parent's that are looking for an alternative to TV. I just wish to caution that it is not a substitute for quality reading time with your child so make sure to read to them as well. Overall a great investment.

The Tag reading system is definitely a step up from the Leappad in terms of playability. However, it has its limitations.

Unlike the Leapster where multiple users can share each device, each Tag is for a single user (player profile). LeapFrog highly recommends each child have his/her own Tag reader in order to take full advantage of Tag. Therefore, sharing doesn't work and means more $$$$ spent.

Using a Tag reader on multiple computers might be cumbersome. I haven't found a way to "migrate" data easily, for example, in case of OS or PC upgrades. This affects the Rewards and the LEAPFROG Learning Path.

Can only store 5 audio books at a time on the Reader. So if your child wants a different book besides one of the five, you'll have to connect to the computer to download/manage it. This will make it difficult for long trips. Memory is cheap, why not have more memory to begin with?

Must connect to the internet, but then, who doesn't have internet access these days.

We bought this product for my 3 1/2 year old son as something to keep him busy on a long drive from NY to NC. He loves Tag and over a two week period I can't think of a single day where he didn't pick it up to play with it. He has three books: Ozzie & Mack, Click Clack Moo (Classic Series) and Cars Tractor Tipping (Activity Series). While he had more fun intially with the Cars & Ozzie and Mack books he has since invested more time into Click Clack Moo and loves it. This is another great product from LeapFrog and I would recommend it to anyone.

My son actually ripped a few pages (because he fell asleep with it one night) and I put some tape over the ripped areas, the pen still reads it just fine.

My nonverbal autistic son loves all things Leapfrog and loves story readers. Leapfrog has combined the best of two worlds with the story reader component along with interactive features. I was worried the tip would be delicate and he would break it but no problems so far. The download is very user friendly, the only drawback is only being able to load 5 products at a time so if you have more than that you have to delete and reload but this isn't a huge deal. The positive feedback for the game features is a very nice touch not only praise for correct answers, but hints to encourage success and promote self esteem instead of "no, that's wrong" or some other negative statement like many toys. Would highly recommend this product for both fun and education.

All of the positive statements found in the many positive reviews on the Tag Reader are true--when the device works. Unfortunately, the LeapFrog Connect Software suffers from serious problems that makes the overall package unacceptable. Installing new books and updating the device with new software is essentially a crap shoot that can render the device unusable, because your computer can no longer put new books on it. This appears to happen most frequently when a software update is available. The update appears to proceed just fine by erasing everything on the Tag and restarting it, but after that, LeapFrog Connect indicates that it could not update the Tag and proclaims "Error code 3." A check of LeapFrog's website suggests that you should install the Connect software on a DIFFERENT computer (even a friends computer they say) to solve this problem. Since we had already done this once before, our two computers already had the software installed. They also say you can try uninstalling the Connect application and reinstalling it on the same computer, but that a new computer is more likely to fix the problem! We tried that and it didn't work (as they predict). The real responsibility for fixing this problem is with LeapFrog Connect's programmers! Until they address this issue, I cannot recommend the product, despite the fact that when it works it is really quite good.
