A little bit of a Stone Age technology, but works really well. Brand new and unopened. Mother-n-law had bought the vsmile console at a thrift store with out the controllers, so was a little nervous that it wouldn't work well. Easy for 3 year old to use..

The photo is of a red/yellow one. The one we got was a teal with yellow. I'm glad we got the teal one it's exactly the same as the one we use in music class. It's a fun toy. Teaches coordination skills to make the clacking noise. Great for 1year+. The bright colors are attractive. It also looks and feels heavy duty so it's not something he'll break easily which is key since he's broken a lot.

I got this instrument for my 2 year old daughter. She loves playing with these at her Music Together class so I wanted to get one for her at home. So far it seems durable and it works well. A fun item to add to your instrument collection.

And these were very inexpensive, plastic, and do the job. Oh I could have gone out and paid 50 bucks for a wooden one, but for the intended purpose of the idiophone it fits the bill.

Honest reviews on HohnerKidsPlasticClatterpillar(colorsmayvary)

Difficult for kids to figure out, and once they do, it doesn't do much. Not the best instrument my son has recieved.

A little direction of use would be nice on the outside of the package. My husband and I worked for a while to make some sounds with the Clatterpillar and with not much luck. It doesn't do a lot. It's headed to my daughter's preschool, so I hope the kids are more coordinated than we are.

made of quality material wood.

i like that it does not lay flat.. they added a piece of wood on the back that props it at an angle when you lay it down so its easier for the child look at.

theres so many different stages of learning to this piece. colors, numbers, shapes, and of course learning time. this will be great for years to come. my son is 17 months old now.

My son loves it but gets a little frustrated when he stands the clock upright and all the pieces would fall off.

Best Deals for Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock

I like this compared to other clock toys which cost a bit higher from Melissa . One additional advantage in this is you can match colors which you cannot in the other clock toy from the same seller. It helps in introducing time concepts at an age you think is appropriate for your kid. Very useful and value for your money.

It would have been better if it had a stand at the back but this does not affect the functionality or the utility of the toy

What a surprise to my niece when she got this! She said it's beautiful and sent me a big toothless grinning picture! (LOL)

Buy Manhattan Toy Baby Whoozit 6 Inch

Customer Ratings:

My daughter LOVES the Whoozit! She has the female version (pink body instead of blue). This toy has a red heart that makes the "crinkling" noise when you play with it. Because it is red and makes the noise it is my daughter's favorite part of the toy. Since she's teething, she loves to put it into her mouth and chew on it. Unfortunately, she was chewing on it one day in the grocery store when the red heart got lodged in her throat. She was not breathing at all. Luckily, I was right in front of her, noticed it, and immediately pulled out the toy. I just can't help but wonder what might have happened if I had not been standing right there with her when it happened. I've told several of my friends about this and they told me of similar stories they have heard from other people. From now on, I tuck the red heart into the inside of the toy (between the two body sections) so my daughter can't get to it. All the kids who I've seen playing with it seem to love the Whoozit, but the one crinkle piece is a choking hazard.

I love this toy, but more importantly, my baby loves this toy. We got it for her when she was 3 months old, and she has loved it ever since. I proceeded to buy almost every toy in this line because she loves it so much! My daughter, now 10 months, loves to play and chew on the hanging things, and she laughs at the face. It is also very portable, and is small enough to bring anywhere. It can be attached by the loop and velcro to almost anything. An absolute must for any baby!

I LOVE this toy!!! I received it as a gift before my son was born and it just sort of sat in the pile of baby toys I was accumulating. When he was just over a month old and really beginning to see things, I started pulling out toys to see if any would catch his interest. The Whoozit won out over all of them. He could grab the Whoozits arms even with his tiny hands and he gets older he "discovers" more about the toy and still enjoys playing with it. While the beginning age range is 3 months, don't wait! Our Whoozit is what seemed to draw my son's interest the earliest and it's a great toy to help with naptime and car rides.

My son loves this toy! He loved the black and white side as a newborn and now he loves the colorful side. He loves to chew on it and shake it. Keeps him occupied especially great for car rides.

I'm so bummed because my infant loves this toy, and I lost it. I went to purchase it for him again, and somewhere along the way was directed to a great website that tests products for contaminants. I looked up this product, and found out the red nose contains lead and bromine. The nose is what my son sucked on the most. I rated everything a 5-star because it is fun, education, etc., but the fact that pieces of the product contain carginogens and lead made me rate is overall a 1, and I will not be purchasing this product. Manhattan Toy, PLEASE clean up your product. Here's the website, and just enter the manufacture name when you search for items.

LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra Carrying Case, Purple Reviews

Customer Ratings:

I never bought this kind of case with the LeapPad or the LeapPad 2 because I had heard nothing but bad reviews, the main one being the zippers were really hard to zip. So when the LeapPad Ultra came out, I was bummed to see that there were no other carrying cases available. Knowing I needed a case, I ordered it anyways. I'm so glad I did. They seem to be made better than the ones for the original LeapPads. The zipper is easy for my children to open by themselves. It hold 6 games (more if you don't mind putting two games in one holder. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a case for the Ultra!

This bag is very durable and made with strong material. There are holders for the games but I wish there was a strap or something to hold the Leap Pad Ultra in so that when you unzip it, it won't just fall out. So be very careful when opening because it slides around a lot & that extra protection would be helpful. Even with the gel case on there is still wiggle room. Since there is so much space on the other side, I wish it included the net pocket like the Leap Pad 2 case to fit a few accessories in it considering its size.

Replogle Globes Sierra Globe, 12-Inch, Antique Reviews

Customer Ratings:

Bought as a Christmas gift. It's just as advertised: attractive, easy to read, well made. Great for the home or office.

My initial opinion is that i would expect more quality for the high price. The equator and where the two pieces of the globe meet, is covered with a red piece of tape making it look rather tacky. I think the latitude lines could meet up with each other better. If this were a $25 globe, i could understand, but it is more than twice that. The base that it is mounted on is nice looking. No user booklet to go with it like globes use to come with 20 years ago.

Best Deals for Replogle Globes Sierra Globe, 12-Inch, Antique

Very cheap!! I know that a really good globe would cost hundreds, but that doesn't mean that $80 is nothing! This thing must have cost next to nothing to make. Not to mention that it does not even tilt and turn. You can't see the bottom unless you get on your knees. I bought it as a gift and I'm extremely embarrassed. I got robbed big time. Needless to say that I highly DO NOT recommend it.

Honest reviews on Replogle Globes Sierra Globe, 12-Inch, Antique

very nice globe ,a little more than i wanted to spend but well worth it,it is just a great addition to the kids room, plus the most importent thing is ,they are learning about other parts of the world we live in,an educational item that kids have fun looking up other parts of the world,it is like fun homework in geography, beets playing all those computer games.

On the whole, globe is exactly as described and colors are lovely. Only criticism I have is that many of the boundaries(borders, rivers, etc.) are not adequately pronounced.

Melissa & Doug Wooden Stacking Train Reviews

Customer Ratings:

The toy that arrived from this seller was not the one pictured. The only reason I paid more for this one than the same exact toy that Amazon had for a little cheaper was that this picture contained a toy with a pull stringIT DOES NOT HAVE A PULL STRING. It is the toy that is pictured under the cheaper amazon price with the single colored wheels and no pull string. My son loves to pull toys behind him, so that is why I purchased this and I am very disappointed that it doesn't have the feature I paid more for. My son still loves his "choo-choo" and taking the blocks on and off, I just wish I paid the lesser price.

My 15 month old grandson played happily with this train in the children's section of my favorite local bookshop, so I ordered one to have at my house for when he is here. Now he is 18 months and still interested. It is both a stacking toy and a train, or, as he prefers, separate push cars. I appreciate its solid wood, smooth and unbreakable construction, and its bright colors. A lot of play value for a very small amount of space. Since buying this, I have learned that these are typical characteristics for toys by Melissa and Doug, so I will be buying some others for him.

Best Deals for Melissa & Doug Wooden Stacking Train

Besides our two children, every kid that visits our house has a go at this thing. They spend hours stacking it every which way you can. We only had one piece take a little wear but that was because our son carried it everywhere with him for six months straight. I gave it a quick sand, added some paint and everything is as good as new.

Our only complaint, the thing doesn't pick itself up. Chasing down all the pieces around your house gets annoying really fast.

Honest reviews on Melissa & Doug Wooden Stacking Train

Title pretty much says the gist of things. My younger toddler didn't know what to do with it. But now that he is 2 he is beginning to lay with it more. However, the wooden leg that is used to couple the cars fell out and is not a long choking hazard. It was just glued in and not well.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Melissa & Doug Wooden Stacking Train

My husband bought this for my daughter at a discount-type store, so we got it for a very low price. My daughter is eleven months old and mostly interested in taking the blocks off and playing with them. She loves to chew on them, bang them together, and throw them. She's not interested in the train as a whole right now, but I think it would make a great toy for an older kid in that regard. She gets a smile on her face every time she sees me get it out.

Best Math In A Flash - Addition Card Set; no. EP-2430 Deals

Customer Ratings:

Color coding make it easy to make a pack of facts for your child to memorize. Already hole punched and ready to go. I do it with my kids, but I think as they get older it will be something they do on their own and they can self check. I will definitely be buying the subtraction ones at some point.

Cheap Yano Storyteller Talking Animated Toy

Customer Ratings:

I remember being creeped out by the Yano commercials growing up. The eery forced and toothless smile, the mechanical wiz that sounds when he frowns, his calm voice as he tells his stories. When my friend bought one, it turns out that is exactly what he is. Hilariously creepy. That Yano ended up having a stroke or something, because half his face melted into a permanent frown. When my friend tried to fix it, he peeled back the fleshy exterior to reveal a nightmarish robotic visage. His Yano never made a full recover.

Years later I found one at a junk store for cheap and figured, why not? He now sits on my shelf and watches me as I type this review. His mouth slightly curved in a smile, his eyes half open and staring into my very being.

For adults, Yano makes an excellent Halloween decoration. Just add fake blood and freeze him in the middle of one of his animations and Huzzah, Nightmares for everyone! For kids, Yano is a bit too unsettling. I suppose he's better than a furby (Man, do you remember furbys? Ah, the nineties...), but the fact that he only comes with one story gives him a low interaction time. His body is too hard to snuggle and too brittle to play with. Even if you do buy his other stories, there aren't enough to warrant the money.

I had a Yano when I was younger, around 10 I think. I used to play with him all the time. The ability to change the stories was always fun and there were a lot of possibilities.

Review of Learning Resources Magnetic Pattern Block Activity Set

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $34.99
Sale Price: $23.62
Today's Bonus: 32% Off

I just received this product in the mail today, and am pretty pleased with the purchase. The cards are smaller than I thought they'd be (about the size of a half sheet of paper) but are very thick and durable. There is a picture on both sides of the 10 cards on all but 1 of the cards, (so 19 puzzles and 1 blank board.) The boards can double as a dry erase board which is great because I can draw new puzzles for my kids on the blank card. The magnets came as one big sheet and must be separated. Some of the magnets are slightly curved, but they are easy to bend flat and stick much better to the cards once you do.

I am happy with the variety of puzzles. I was afraid that some of the other puzzles I had seen had too detailed of an outline for my 5 year old. I didn't want it to be too easy for him. This set has some that are completely outlined, but it works toward harder puzzles that are more loosely outlined and have several solutions. It also includes puzzles that are half-outlined so that your child can work on symmetry.

All in all I am pleased with this. It will be a good starter set for our family.

Cheap TOPS Idea Collective Journal, Black Cover, Wide Rule, Cream Paper

Customer Ratings:

I bought this journal to test it against my other journals I have written in. I can not justify buying expensive journals, so I found the TOPS journal.

I found the paper is thinner than Moleskine's and that it tends to curl like inexpensive composition or 3 holed school paper. It is especially curly when you use a ballpoint pen. I tend to write with a heavy hand with a ballpoint, but I write lightly with a fountain pen. The reverse side of each sheet showed "bleed through" with both inks, but not enough to keep me from not using the journal.

The stitching for the pages is inconsistent with some pages having up to half of a page not sewn into the book.

The cover is durable and hard. I like the design imprinted into the cover. It is not just "plain".

Overall, I would buy more of these especially when I find them on sale. I had a hard time finding them on the internet.

Discount Jay Jay the Jet Plane: Tarrytown Airport Revvin' Evan's Firehouse

Customer Ratings:

I read the first review on the Fire Station and had to respond with my disagreement. The Fire Station is the ideal size for Revvin' Evan wooden character and a child's play. Jay Jay wood licensed items are comparable to the other quality wood toy systems on the market like Thomas railway. My son loves it and it is well made.

I must be blind or dumb but I was way off on the size of this firehouse. It is sooooooo small I was really shocked. But my child loves anything to do with fire engines so he of course loved it.But I would not purchase it again for the same price.Hot wheels are the only thing that might fit in it and only one at a time.
