The photo is of a red/yellow one. The one we got was a teal with yellow. I'm glad we got the teal one it's exactly the same as the one we use in music class. It's a fun toy. Teaches coordination skills to make the clacking noise. Great for 1year+. The bright colors are attractive. It also looks and feels heavy duty so it's not something he'll break easily which is key since he's broken a lot.

I got this instrument for my 2 year old daughter. She loves playing with these at her Music Together class so I wanted to get one for her at home. So far it seems durable and it works well. A fun item to add to your instrument collection.

And these were very inexpensive, plastic, and do the job. Oh I could have gone out and paid 50 bucks for a wooden one, but for the intended purpose of the idiophone it fits the bill.

Difficult for kids to figure out, and once they do, it doesn't do much. Not the best instrument my son has recieved.

A little direction of use would be nice on the outside of the package. My husband and I worked for a while to make some sounds with the Clatterpillar and with not much luck. It doesn't do a lot. It's headed to my daughter's preschool, so I hope the kids are more coordinated than we are.
