My 4 and a half year old son loves this toy and says it's "Awesome, Mom"! The only other video game he has is the leapster from Leap Frog, which captures his attention some when taking a road trip, but this toy is great b.c. he can stay active by pedaling and the dinosaurs amaze him. He doesn't even bother with the cartridge that accompanied the smart cycle only wants to play the dinosaur one...and does not tire of it.

I bought the Smart Cycle, along with 3 software games: Dino; Hot Wheels; and Sponge Bob for my 4 year old twin grandsons for Christmas. They have been playing with it non-stop since Christmas Day. Not only are they having fun, but at the same time, they are learning numbers, letters, math, colors, shapes and other concepts AND they are getting physical exercize with all the cycling. My son and daughter-in-law are very impressed. What a wonderful toy to give a child. I couldn't have picked a better gift to give them. If anyone is trying to decide on a gift to give a young child ... THIS IS THE ONE!

My grandchilren really enjoy the smart cycle and the games but the cartridges can be kind of delicate after a dozen times of plugging them in and I suggest only the parent plug them into the cycle. There is quite a bit of educational learning with a few games. The dino software is very informative and teaches children the names of dinosaurs and explains a great deal about their habitat and choice of foods.

I bought this game for my son's 4th birthday and he plays it daily. He loves dinosaurs and tells me about the differnt types and things he knows about them now. There are also some memory games and mazes that are fun for him, as well. He usually has a short attention span but typically stays engaged with this game for about 45 minutes. After he received the Smart Cycle for Christmas, this is one of his favorite games to play.

My Grandson is totally captivated by this toy. He is six and facinated with Dinosaurs, although he is mildly Autistic he can stay focused on this game for up to a half hour at a time. I reccomend it to any child who likes dinosaurs and interactive toys.

As long as you don't get gouged on the price, this table is great. Check around on the prices. I got this for my 5 month old at christmas time. She couldn't stand on her own, but she could bear weight just fine, so she really enjoyed playing with it as I held her steady. Now that she is older and standing on her own (8 months), she still loves it. The activities are simple but entertaining. She loves the music and it is not at all annoying. It is sea-themed music and sound effects. The spinning ball in the middle is the main fun attraction but she uses all the parts and they are good for learning dexterity. I believe this is something she will happily crawl/walk over to and play with as time goes on. It isn't anything that she seems to get tired of so far because of the music and lights and variety of things to do. It may not be as "fancy" as some of the other tables, but it is also cheaper, a bit smaller (takes up less space), and probably less annoying. and babies don't care about fancy. I love the colors, too.

Best My Quiet Book for Toddlers Deals

I could not find a book like this locally so when I found it online, I was happy. Although this book contains the tasks I wanted, it is falling apart with the first use. The little ribbons and velcros are not attached well when I received it. It requires hand sewing to better anchor them. Aside from that, It is a great "quiet" time activity and only used for those special times to avoid it being an "everyday" toy and become boring.

My son actually looks at this thing in the car or somewhere that he has to be quiet. He likes to tinker with things and there are lots of things to tinker with like buttons, snaps, buckles, Velcro, ties, etc.

As other reviews stated it's an excellent idea, educational and fun. However, when I received the book I was unpleasantly surprised. The quality of the fabric, stitching and other parts is incredibly low. It look like something you would find at a dollar store cheap and not lasting. For the asking price I was expecting much, much better quality. Also due to the poor quality of materials is is not lasting long, in several days stitching was falling apart and fabric was covered in lint pills.

We bought this for our 16 month old and she liked looking at it but not nearly as much as our 3 and 4 year old did. :-) They have all gotten a lot of fun out of it. It has held up pretty well considering, but some of the seams on the pages have started to come apart. I expected more for the price but I am still happy that we bought it.

My daughter is about 18 months and she likes this book. It's really better for older kids.

The snaps are littte and a too hard for small hands. It is made pretty well..but one balloon already detached.

Right now she mostly likes the zipper and the page where you feel fabric.

We purchased this for one of our grandkids that was needing a little help with division. It came highly recommended by many and we had seen it in use & felt the same. However when it arrived, the outer wrapper was gone and the box had been opened and looked like it had been beat around for quite some time. It was not appropriate at all for gift giving in that condition. Therefore we returned it & if the name comes up on an item that we buy from Amazon in the future, we will find another item. Of course since it was fulfilled by Amazon it was returned without difficulty.

DHL was extremely expensive and extremely inefficient:

they stuck information about where I could get the item on my building's entrance, which enabled ANYONE to go and take it;

they asked me to cancel a whole working day to stay at my place so they could deliver the item whenever they wanted;

they finally delivered the item at my job's but late.

So I love the item but I find DHL incredibly inefficient. This is the only reason why I believe I will not use Amazon.com any more (Amazon.fr is OK but not .com because of DHL).

I love this product. I was a first time user and nobody recommended it to me. I was using it with my 3 yr. old (age at the time of purchase) and he absolutely loved it. Now that he knows what column everything goes in it is kind of boring to him. At least it helped assist in the aide of teaching his beginning blend sounds and digraphs.

My son got this Shape Sorter for his first birthday, and I was immediately impressed with the thoughtful details. Unlike the classic Tupperware toy, the pieces are easy to get back out, even for little hands. Ours is better than the one in the photo, in that the sides are color-coded with the pieces that match that side. This makes the matching easier, and gives us an excuse to talk about colors as well as shapes. The sixth side has some bead sliders to make the toy interesting even before your baby is ready for matching. Plus, some of the shapes are letters and numbers. The whole thing seems very sturdy. I hadn't heard of this brand before, but I'm impressed.

I bought this toy after the Tolo Rolling Shape Sorter became unavailable, and I'm very happy with it. This shape sorter contains openings and corresponding pieces for six different shapes (circle, square, triangle, star, heart, and clover), the numbers 1-3, and the letters A, B, and C. The pieces are color-coded to their respective side of the cube. There is also a bead maze, which my one-year-old finds fascinating. My favorite feature is the four flexible flaps that cover the main opening to the cube. The flaps keep the shapes inside until my daughter decides to "free" them, which she can do by herself.

This shape sorter does a great job keeping our 1-year-old entertained. Her first shape sorter was the Ikea Mula, similar to a Plan Toy one. Her favorite activity now is taking things out of containers. So the sorter with the separate lid hasn't been keeping her attention very long she just dumps the blocks out. The Battat sorter has a flap opening, which means she can get one shape out at a time, and "hide" other things like her pacifier in the toy.

I bought this shape sorter for my one year old shortly after her birthday. I think it would have been best to wait until she was around a year and a half to two years, as it was totally over her head at the time. She loves it now, though. She does have a bit of a time digging the shapes out though, as the trap door is made of a very stiff rubber-like material.

My 1 year old loves this toy! He hasn't quite figured out how to put the shapes in the right places yet, but loves to put them all in the bottom opening and pull them all out. Only downside is that the maze buttons make it a little bit tippy. But overall a fun toy!

This is one of the first Montessori items I bought for my 10 month old once I noticed he was interested in trying to fit objects into various holes. He loves this! He really concentrates as he puts the cylinder into the hole and retrieves it. If he sees it out on his shelf he runs over to it to use it. It's a high quality item but don't let little ones put the cylinder in their mouth too much. My guy has teeth and he was able to get a bit of paint off when he bit it. Other than that it's great!

Although some of the experiments take time to see the results, it's been fun doing them with my son. He is 11 years old and VERY MUCH into science this year. One of his interests is crystals. Fortunately, this kit comes with a few VERY FAST immediate result experiments that were fun to do. Some take up to three days, but they are worth the wait. It does take some adult supervision, but they are very educational. Even my 4 and 6 year old girls are interested in the projects. The directions are easy to follow and all the materials needed are included in the kit. I highly recommend this kit if your child is interested in crystals and watching them grow. :)

I bought this kit for my rock crazy wife, and she's having a blast making crystals! She's 64 years old. The crystals she's grown so far are nice sized. The instructions are crystal clear and simple. Measure the chemicals, measure the boiling water, and pour it in a plastic cup is more or less the difficulty of the experiments, and then wait a few days. The longer your willing to be patient, the bigger the crystals. I got her a bunch of little plastic jars to keep them in. She is really happy with this Christmas gift, and I'm having fun looking at them to! Think I'll buy another one.

I actually purchased 2 of these kits. I bought one for a gift for Christmas for one of my sons and one for myself and my youngest son to see what it would be like. IT WAS AND IS A BLAST. It grows really beautiful crystals. To get really good ones you need to wait longer than it says in the instructions but its worth the wait. You can watch them grow and change and its really educational and fun. I am definitely going to buy more when this kit is gone as its lots of fun. The only downside is that you can not purchase the different packs of crystal growing stuff separately if there is a crystal that you enjoy growing more.

We bought this crystal kit to help us with a Science fair project for my 2nd grader and although it was a huge hit with the science fair it was not very good as far as instructions go. One of the crystals didn't even grow and my husband is pretty good with science. Also the containers were not big enough to hold the chemicals plus the growing crystals. The blue Geode was my daughters favorite.
