My 19 month old loves this toy. My best friend's 13 month old loves this toy. I do have a couple problems with this toy. It does not have a volume switch and it is pretty loud. Also, I like my daughter to use it in the identification mode, but it is so easy for her to switch modes, I can't keep it on her level. She loves the song! On the plus side, it is very educational and fun for the kids. It also turns off on its own when she just drops it on the floor and walks off, which I like. Overall, I would recommend this toy!

I bought this toy for my 4yr. old son to help him learn his shapes and colors. He likes the song that it plays and it keeps his attention. The only thing that I found wrong with it is that it is a little too loud. So I put some tape over the speaker to make it a little quiter. My daughter has all three of the smart sticks (letters, numbers, and colors/shapes) and they are IDEAL toys. They have several settings that play a song, tell her about what button she pushed (this is a ), or ask her to find a letter/number/shape/color. They also have a switch for english or spanish. My daughter LOVES these and has learned everything on them at a much younger age than I would have expected her to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone who believes in educational toys. Also very durable, they frequently get dropped with no issues and even got run through the washer and worked again when dried out.

My daughter enjoys playing with this toy, and treats it like a phone (as it resembles a cell phone). She likes pushing the buttons and listening to the music, but she holds it up to her ear while it's playing music. The problem with this is that it is very loud, and there is no sound adjustment. It's so loud you can hear it rather well from upstairs. It's a good idea, especially with the whole bilingual education it provides, but I wish it had a volumn adjustment so it wouldn't cause any negative effects on her ears. I wouldn't advise this toy for kids under 3 who don't understand not having loud objects so close to their ears.

We got the Bellapista for our son this past Christmas when he was 17 months. I love that it teaches him basic physics and cause-and-effect, and it's interactive on many different sensory levels (but the sights and sounds are not overwhelming or annoying like so many battery-operated or plastic toys). My son has played with this toy every day since Christmas (four months now), and even I enjoy watching the little wheel completing its course, spinning other shapes and ringing bells. He has seen/tried the Haba Track n' Roll but did not seem interested in it. In fact, he seemed outright bored. Plus, it was very heavy and took up a lot of space. The Bellapista is lighter weight, so he can carry it around the house, and it's easier to store too. Very happy with this purchase!

We purchased the Bellapista track toy on sale for almost $30-. The track can be played in multiple ways, and there will always be whirling wheels, dinging bells, which are not too loud and much nicer than the harsh tones of the flashing, electronic toys. I am a huge fan of Selecta Spielzeug products-gorgeous, high-quality, wooden toys made in Germany. Selecta must have some of the best toy designers in the world working for them because you can see that they pay attention to every detail. e.g., the top round opening on the track is where you put in the rolling wheels to start down the track, and the same site serves as a handle for carrying the toy.

Our toddler has been playing with this toy daily every since he was 12 months old, and this toy still keeps him entertained. However, he is a big chewer and has worn off some of the beautiful paint on the wheels. It's still a very sturdy yet lightweight wooden toy which should last until the tot has his own kids and maybe longer.

Like most Selecta products, the Bellapista is expensive but well worth it. It's the old quantity vs. quality issue, and we choose fewer toys of high quality.

This is a great product! It allows for adjustments that even more microscopes cannot offer. Also, the customer service is very helpful. One issue is that the 2000x magnification is difficult to adjust easily. This is understandable, because the magnification is really high for the microscope's design. The other magnifications come out clearly. Also, the stage only goes back so far. Sometimes I need to flip a slide around to view what the stage could not reach to. Finally, on the higher magnification settings, the stage needs to go higher than the objective lens to put the image in focus.

I could compare this microscope to the one I use at my university. What I like is that this microscope has some unique features (like the ability to add different color filters. Additionally, it can view higher magnifications. However, the one at my university has better adjustment control and therefore allows for a slightly better resolution (not saying this microscope does not give superior and very similar resolution).

Overall, this microscope is the best value with the amount of features it has and its price.

Cheap Elenco 9440 Breadboard With JW-350 Jumper Wire Set

Purchased this breadboard as a hobbyist expanding my knowledge in electronics.

The board itself is nicely sized (large), and allows for pretty decent sized circuits to be constructed. Basically, it is 4 standard breadboards side by side, with an additional bus strip run horizontally on the top, all connected to a solid backing. 4 binding posts allow for additional external components to be connected. It looks like it should last quite a while if treated well.

The jumper wires are of a very wide length of sizes, and allow for easy color coding when working in complex circuit prototyping. The box the come in (clear instead of the blue shown) allowed for easy organizing of the different sizes.

Overall, it's a pretty good combo, and reasonably priced for the size of board you get. Other than that, it's not too complicated of an item, so there's not really much else to say. 2 Thumbs up!

Nice sized bredboard for beginners. Big enough to stretch out and even comes with a bunch of pre-shaped wires. The poll pieces seem a little flimsy but so far have proven to be just fine.

Best Deals for Elenco 9440 Breadboard With JW-350 Jumper Wire Set

I wasn't expecting much. Sorry Elenco but I never really considered Elenco to be top of the line stuff. This breadboard exceeded my expectations. The boards are mounted well and the holes seem like they will stand up well to constant use.

When putting on the banana jacks notice they are keyed both top and bottom. Line upt the flat ends in the hold when you tighten and they will stay in place.

I'll buy again and won't turn my nose up at Elenco products without trying them.

As many people noted, it's a breadboard so there's not much to say. The contacts I've used so far are all electrically sound, and I'm very happy with my purchase. My only nits, and thus a 1/2 star deduction (if Amazon allowed for a 4.5 star rating, that's what I would have given it), are:

1. The adhesive on the little rubber feet wasn't up to the task. I ended up having to dot them with some CA glue.

3. The kit comes with 4 feet, presumably one for each corner. Given the size of the board, it would have been nice to have gotten a 5th foot to place in the center for added support.

2. The 4 power terminals, unlike the rest of the board, are... cheap. It's hard to describe what I mean, but suffice to say one notices material quality, or lack thereof, as compared to the rest of the board.

I guess you can consider the added jumper kit either a great value, or an overpriced stand-alone (see Elenco 350 Piece Pre-formed Jumper Wire Kit). You can buy this same breadboard on Amazon for a $1.30 less if you don't want the pre-cut jumper wire set 9440 Breadboard-Prototype Design Aid, but personally I think this wire kit for that price delta is money very well spent... if only for the little parts box*. Needless to say, I'm in the "great value" camp. In fact, if I could get just the case w/ jumpers for $1.30 as a stand-alone, I'd order several more.

*DISCLAIMER. Who knows if this pricing will hold in the future. Do yourself a favor and compare before buying.

I ordered these cars for my two-year old grandson because they were BPA free. The set of 7 vehicles was a big hit with him and his twin sister. They were a great size for their little hands, had a good variety of vehicles (airplane, helicopter, bulldozer, jeep, truck, etc.), and were a nice soft plastic with no sharp edges. The white wheels did not mar the window sills where they like to drive them. They seem very sturdy, and are safe for their younger sister who likes to put everything in her mouth. I would definitely order from this company again!

Awesome drum set! My 2 1/2 year old loves them! They are so dark green they look black. She was a little disappointed when they didn't look her favorite color. The black set was a little cheaper and it definitely wasn't worth any extra charge for the 'green" set. Other than that no complaints! (They do need to be assembled.)

I will be using this place value chart in my homeschool preschool this fall. I let my preschooler try it out today and he enjoyed counting out the correct number of rods and placing them in the pocket of the corresponding number. A great place value tool, and I like that it can be hung on the way instead of taking up floor/storage space like so many of our other educational activities.

The pouches are ample enough for the blue coffee stir stick like manipulatives that were included. The bottom flap has a velcro closure to store the spare numbers in. The printed materials are on thicker glossy paper and are perforated but would be sturdier if laminated. There is no place to store the blue sticks that are not being used and the user will need to find alternative storage. Overall this product is a useful teaching tool but could be improved by making the paper materials stronger and providing an additional or larger storage area for the sticks.

This is a very good product. The material that it is made out of is vinyl and plastic, and seems to be well sewn to last. The numbers are just printed on card stock. And the straws are just like those little straws you use to stir your coffee with. This is a product that someone can easily create at home if you wanted to. But i wanted to purchase this for homeschooling purposes...whenever i can buy real teaching materials without having to make my own stuff, i like to.

Review of Sum Stick -- An Added Dimension for Learning Arithmetic -- Addition

I still remember playing with this when i was a kid more than 40 years ago. I remember being fascinated by how a number on one side could be balanced by two numbers (whose sum was equal) on the other side. like 10 balanced with 4 and 6. even two numbers could balance with two other numbers on the other side, like 10 & 2 balanced with 7 & 5. I loved finding different combinations that worked. I am convinced that this product started my love of numbers and math. BTW I went on to study Applied Math at Carnegie Mellon.

So i bought this product for kids that i tutor. Even my two teenage boys and 11-yr old daughter enjoyed "playing" with it for a while!

Terrific product. I just wish there were more than 4 weights.
