I ordered this spinning globe but wanted to return it only because the size wasn't what I wanted.
I contacted the seller and he gave me a full refund and let me keep it!
I love how it looks on my desk.
Thank you!

Reviews of Melissa & Doug Deluxe Lacing Bear Dress-Up
I am a retired teacher and bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter. It is cute and durable. She liked it but needed a lot of help. The "thread" is long and thick, so it gets stuck when lacing. I'm going to buy a thinner, shorter lacing string which I think will work better. It would also be nice if it came with two bears so the one bear wouldn't need to be undressed all the time. Two bears would also give her the added option of imaginative play--kind of like paper dolls.
Why didn't they include a real over though? It comes in a nice sturdy box, but no cover so it's impossible for me to store it anywhere (just sitting on a shelf does not work at my house). So I can transfer the contents to a plastic container, but then I waste the sturdy box it came in. Or I get a container that is big enough for the box, but that seems silly. They really took a regretful shortcut on this one.

I bought this toy for my 5-year-old. If she played with it more, I would give it more stars. It teaches dexterity with "sewing" the pieces on as well as teaching them to line up the holes properly. It is wooden, so it is pretty durable. Mostly, she likes that she can "hand sew" like me and her big sister. I always wanted one when my oldest was younger, but Amazon had it at an incredible price, so now we have it in our house! The only downside is that the case it comes in requires the bear to be stripped down to her panties again and the pieces must be arranged specifically. Also, the plastic lid is very cheap and will not hold the pieces in place if it's knocked over.Best Deals for Melissa & Doug Deluxe Lacing Bear Dress-Up
I gave this to my 3-year old niece for her birthday, and she has really loved it. Her mom has to hold things in place for her to lace, but neither mom nor daughter mind. My niece's favorite outfit is the cheerleaders costume. I highly recommend it!Honest reviews on Melissa & Doug Deluxe Lacing Bear Dress-Up
My daughter loves this bear. The box has no lid, so pieces get lost, and it's a pain in the rear to store. The product pic for this listing is deceptive, as it makes it look as though there are multiple bears, but the description is accurate: one bear, two laces, several outfits. You can replace the laces if they get banged up, or try skinnier laces with different feels to them.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Melissa & Doug Deluxe Lacing Bear Dress-Up
My girls do love this (they are 3 and 5). It's not always obvious how to get all the accessories on there without crisscrossing everywhere and ending up with a lace sticking out the front, but they just take it apart and try again. Why didn't they include a real over though? Review of LeapFrog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush
Baby Tad is just adorable. My 13 month old just loves him. We use him as a crib toy.
I really like the 6 minutes of nightime music puts my son right to sleep.
This toy keeps my son occupied for quite a long time in the mornings when he wakes up.
It also has a voice control switch IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT!

I bought this for my son before he was even born and now at 21 months he still loves it as much as when I first gave it to him. My son is very interested in music and really can't get enough. Baby Tad plays all his favorite songs and has helped to teach him his colors and shapes as well. Each time one of "his songs" plays, he looks at Tad and then at me with this huge smile and big laugh to say "he knows MY song"! It's a great all around toy that will not only bring lots of laughs and giggles to your little munchkin but also teach them new skills! I also LOVE that I've never had to change the Batteries from the ones it came with finally a toy that is NOT a battery hog!Best Deals for LeapFrog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush
My niece is now 7 months old, and absolutely adores Baby Tad. His buttons are easy to push, he's very stimulating, educational, and durable. The baby loves watching the different shapes light up, and enjoys Tad's songs. Her face lights up when she sees him. He is very easy to clean, too. He is by far her favorite toy, and I would highly recommend Baby Tad.Honest reviews on LeapFrog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush
My baby girl has loved "Baby Tad" since she was three months old. As an infant they love to watch the lights and listen to the sweet songs it plays. Baby Tad has the sweetest voice and cutest face, which both appeal to baby. Whenever baby is fussy, when I bring out Baby Tad, she just smiles and hugs him. My little one is now almost eight months old and this is one of her favorite toys. When my 2 1/2 year old neice comes over, she goes right for Baby Tad and carries him around the house all day. She too loves the lights and music but also learns the colors and shapes that Baby Tad teaches. It is a great toy and learning tool and I am buying it for all of my parent-to-be friends.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for LeapFrog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush
Bought this for my child's first birthday. He loves the songs/lullabies and the flashing lights. Helps children recognize shapes and colors and speaks to them. The volume has two different adjustable settings. It's a nice, educational, soft plush toy and I think Tad's cute. I love LEAP FROG products.Monday, November 17, 2014

Curious George - Peek-A-Boo George Review
My 13 month old loves this toy. It is a little noisy but my son pushes the button on curios george himself to start him up. Very durable toy after being thrown around alot.
One weird thing about the toy (maybe not so weird)... but there is a display only mode, and at first it made me think the monkey was broken because it didn't go thru a full cycle. Thank goodness I figured that out, but not until I bought a second one. (Yep, I have two and am selling one!)
However, my little guy just loves it and squeals when Curious George lifts his hat off his head. It's really a riot to watch!
So, the toy is great from age 8 months (adult operated) and has continued to entertain my son who is now 2 and 1/2....

I purchased this 2 years ago for our son who loves Curious George. It worked for less than a day (on regular mode. The demo mode is a strange feature) before not doing anything. He's adorable, pulling the hat over his head, then pushing it up, giggling as he goes. It comes on wheels, although ours never rolled. We have 4 other Curious George toys and they all worked wonderfully, so I'm sure this was a defective one. Unfortunately, I returned it for a replacement, but they didn't have them at the time. :(Best Deals for Curious George - Peek-A-Boo George
This toy was discontinued awhile back, making it hard to find for my George-crazy grandson! We ordered this thru Amazon, one of the few places that still had one. The toy was brand new in the box, they even included new batteries to replace the old ones in the toy. My grandson loves it! It arrived earlier than estimated, thank goodness, it made it here for my grandson's first birthday. All-in-all a very painless transaction.Honest reviews on Curious George - Peek-A-Boo George
Love this toy. It has entertained my son for quite some time until he got to the age where he could pick it up and play with it himself. It's such a fun toy and as he aged, he began to imitate it as well! One weird thing about the toy (maybe not so weird)... but there is a display only mode, and at first it made me think the monkey was broken because it didn't go thru a full cycle. My son .. who is what I loving refer to as a vidiot (addicted to video games) will not put this game down. He has forsaken his DS and the Xbox for his L-max. He has had it for about 3 weeks now and the new has not worn off. Letters on the Loose is absolutely WONDERFUL for teaching the alphabet .. writing (upper and lowercase) and sounds.
I would advise every parent to purchase this for the sake of a child's education. It's a great tool disguised as a toy. KUDOS!!

Buy Magmasaurus Magic Volcano
We purchased this for our 4yr old and he loved it. We removed it from it's case and emptied the water and watched it shrink back to size after a few days. Now we're on our second magmasaurus and this time we've changed the water several times and removed only the top lid and it continues to grow! It's pretty cool. We've had to place it in a couple larger containers to keep it growing. We're not sure how large it'll get but we're on week 3 and it's still growing! What a cool toy and strange material.

My 3-year-old loved watching all the bubbles fizz up from the volcano to reveal a little dinosaur. But, of course, he wanted to play with the Dino after it was revealed. Don't know if I was missing something, but the top seems to be glued on, and the Dino is attached to the bottom of the jar. Had to perform minor surgery to get it out! All-in-all, it entertained him enough to be worth the price...just not designed to be user-friendly!Honest reviews on Magmasaurus Magic Volcano

Leap Frog COUNT & SCAN SHOPPER w Handheld Talking & Singing Scanner Review
The Count and Scan Shopper is by far my three year old daughter's favorite birthday gift. I lost count of how many times I went "shopping" on her birthday and the following days.
It not only counts, but also sings and teaches colors. It also has a volume control, which is good, because after the first hour even the cute voice can get on your nerves. The Count and Scan Shopper can also be used with other play food; it asks things like "Is that organic?" and says things like, "Oh, good it's on sale."

Cheap Eating the Alphabet
Lois Ehlert's Eating the Alphabet: Fruits & Vegetables from A to Z contains illustrations of 74 fruits and vegetables, from the everyday apple to the exotic jicama. Each letter of the alphabet is represented in large serif font in uppercase and lowercase and is represented by illustrations of one to eight fruits and vegetables. The illustrations are captioned with spellings of each fruit and vegetable, once in all uppercase and once in all lowercase. The illustrations depict the fruits and vegetables as they appear at the supermarket, even including the wide rubber bands often found on asparagus and broccoli and the cardboard tubs that hold strawberries and blueberries. The bright illustrations are in sharp contrast with the flat, white background. The overall effect of the illustrations and type styling is crisp, clean, and colorful. The book also includes a glossary of fruits and vegetables, with a small picture, pronunciation, designation as fruit and/or vegetable, and a brief description. This glossary is particularly useful for items such as xigua (she-gwah), the Chinese name for watermelon. Children will enjoy learning the more exotic fruits and vegetables. This book will aid children in recognizing letters and the multiple words for each letter allow children to recognize the pattern of sounds associated with each letter.
Each letter of the alphabet has at least one healthy example of food. Each food has a colorful illustration but readers may need help attaching each word to the appropriate picture. Some of the illustrations are a little questionable (I never saw a cauliflower like the one pictured).
Both of my kids enjoy this book and have had me read it a number of times on just the first day. I haven't noticed them wanting to eat any more vegetables than before but their vocabulary is better.

Fisher Price Peek-A-Blocks: Shape Sorter Review
Of all the way too many toys my 11 month old has, I would say this one gets used the most! It's a very simple toy---basically just an open box with shape openings on the side. Blocks like the Peek-a-blocks but in different sizes come with it. It has batteries for sound, and the sound plays very easily when you put the blocks in, or in fact anything in! That is what is so fun for my daughter---I can fill the box up with all sorts of her toys, and she takes them out and puts them back in, and gets rewarded with non-annoying musical sounds for doing so! She isn't much for sorting yet, but I think she will be soon, and it's nice this integrates with her other FP block toys. Most any box can be used for most of what we use this for, but this is very durable, has smooth edges, and it's the rare case that the slight electronics it has actually adds to the fun!
Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised, and it has far exceeded my expectations . . . making it WAY worth the money! (I've already gotten a year of play out of it, and I don't foresee her getting tired of it anytime soon!)

I agree with a previous review. The handle has pinched our daughter's fingers several times. I wasn't sure what to do so I just tried to watch her more carefully while she was using. One day while my husband was home he saw her do it. He took the toy and using a screwdriver took the top apart and removed the handle. Once she is old enough (she is eight months now) to carry the toy around we will put the handle back on. Other then that, I love this toy. I also use this sorter for storage for her other PeekaBlocks and RollaRounds. I was disappointed though, that normal shaped rollarounds won't fit in the circle shape. Other then that, I think the shape sorter is a great idea for a traditional toy. Sarah also loves to hit it so the music starts. All around it's a great toy and educational.Best Deals for Fisher Price Peek-A-Blocks: Shape Sorter
I originally bought this toy last Christmas for my then five-month old daughter. I mainly bought it because I knew my daughter 'should have' a shape sorter for 'learning purposes.' I bought a lot of the peek-a-block items, and I had no idea she would end up loving THIS ONE so much and playing with it as much as she does. It's actually one of the toys she plays with the most . . . even now at 17 months old! The sorter is of course used for transporting much more than the four shapes that comes with it, but she enjoys the music, and the size is just perfect for her play. And she has found that it can sort a variety of items as well! I should warn those of you who also have climbers, that she likes to try to stand in it with both feet, use it as a stepstool, etc, which of course, it isn't made for. But she's going to do that with anything!Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised, and it has far exceeded my expectations . . . making it WAY worth the money! (I've already gotten a year of play out of it, and I don't foresee her getting tired of it anytime soon!)

We have one of these, and while we're not always able to work it into our layout on the train table, it's definitely been in some of our favorite configurations. Plus, it provides for that all important "train crash" action when two engines are trying to cross at the same time!

Best John Deere Mini Farm Projector Deals
I rated this projecting flashlight with 5 stars because of its battery-saving feature: The "on" button works only when the button is held down. Once the button is released, the flashlight turns off. From past experience with kids and flashlights, I know that this is a money-saving feature! In addition, the animal designs are realistic and cute. The light bulb strength is comparable to other small penlights. The "tire" that surrounds the neck of the flashlight helps to keep the flashlight from rolling off a flat surface. Kids love it!
The tips simply slide onto the bulb end of the light. At that point the "tire" goes over them. As far as I can tell, the tire appears simply cosmetic, and apparently my son is not a fan of non-functional parts of his toys because the tire got dropped quickly. The piece that is on the light remains on fairly soundly, but you need to keep up with the remaining caps. We used a simple zip lock bag to keep all the parts together. After about 45 seconds of play with a cap on, my son removes the cap (and tire if attached), drops them to the floor, and puts his hand into the beam to play with the shadow. I'm not sure that is the fault of the toy, but I think I should have gotten a simple flashlight instead of this. This doesn't hold his interest, and the caps will be lost very soon.

VTech V.Smile TV Learning System Plus with Bonus Adaptor Reviews
My 3 year old son needs reinforcement with his speech. He attends a daycare learning academy where he takes speech therapy twice a week, but I wanted something extra for him to have at home. He loves this thing because it's fun, educational but not difficult, does not seem like schoolwork, and it's right on his learning level. I had to buy an extra joystick because his friends and cousins think this is more of a video game system than edutainment. They are learning and not knowing it. His speech therapist saw an improvement in phonics and excitement for learning within the first week. This is the greatest toy/gift/tutor that you can get for your kid 3 yrs and up. And, this version comes wih its own storage case, adapter, and you need no extra equipment to hook up. It also comes with an alphabet game that is out of this world.

This is a good buy for the price. It's made for smaller children, just right for my 3 and 5 yr olds. Probably not challenging enough for kids over 7 or 8. This is the second one we've had. We are a gaming family but it was hard to find things at the preschool level for the kids. I love the vsmile and my 4 year old loves playing the games. This system was a good deal because it came with a controller, a game and the ac adapter (which would normally all be sold separately). Honestly, my daughter hardly ever plays the game that came with it, preferring the games with characters that she recognizes from the television. If you are looking for preschool friendly video games with an educational component, then this is right for you.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for VTech V.Smile TV Learning System Plus with Bonus Adaptor
