I purchased it for a little girl whose is in kindergarden, and whose parents are a very busy and unavailable to spend time teaching her to read. One of the parents mentioned her daughter's interest in learning how to read. I already had an earlier version of Leap Frog products,which I had purchased for a nephew so i decided to introduce Leap Frog and the Tag system to her. I knew this child was already motivated and just needed the right tools and encouragement. I presented her with several gift wrapped presents on Xmas eve. You had to be there to see this, she took the packages from her mother,and instead of waiting until Xmas she immediately grabed the Leap Frog, ripped opened the gift wrapped package and in literaaly minutes she sat down and was demonstrated how it should be used. She uses it daily and told her mother this was best xmas ever. She loves her Leap frog and tag sysyem its very user friendly for both parent and child. It also encourages learning, progressive growth in vocabulary as well as independance fom having to ask her parents,"what, this word say mommy "the Leap Frog does it all. When the child touches the page she hears the word articulated and enunciated for herself.

This TAG book is a wonderful way for children learn to read while enjoying their favorite story! As soon as my granddaughter saw what I bought her, she wanted to read to right away. This wasn't the first book I bought her on Amazon. What a great way to learn! Do not hesitate to buy this book for any child!

My daughter loved it. She loves the disney princess and she loves that she can play in the leapfrog tag book with her tag reader. We don't have a tv so books are a big part of her entertainment. These books are awesome. Reminds me of the storybook with a record or tape they had when I was a kid only more safisticated.

I totally concur with a few of these ratings. We paid for the Tag System to not only have great stories for our children but so that, in the super-fun Leapfrog fashion, they learn!!!! This book had comprehension questions peppered thru it but there were no phonetics, rhyming, matching, vocabulary sections at all. (Oh, and one page had 4 musical instruments to listen to and identify but NOwhere near as interactive as the awesome Giraffes Can't Dance!)

I only gave this book 3 stars.

These Tag books are amazing! This is one of our first books, and they are so fun.

My 5 year old and 2 year old both enjoy this book. It, of course, tells the story of Disney's The Princess and the Frog, but there is so much more.

Each picture has something to say. Each part of the picture says something different or plays music. You can hear the characters' voices say things in addition to the story line text.

The Tag pen has various options for reading the story. It can read through the entire book, read it a page at a time, or read it as you touch each word.

My children especially like that several of the pictures play music in this particular book.

We haven't seen the movie (since it's not out yet), so I can't say how good the story line is. It's a fun book, though.

"I Know My Numbers" AND "I Know My Letters" are the best books of the four out right now for the PT Baby!!!

The pages are way stronger than the reg. PT books for the older kids. These pages are coated and are thicker and more durable. The pages have texture on some of the pictures too and the picture talk and/or make sounds as well.

This book is a must have for your PT Baby. Enjoy!!!

Review of Edushape Giant Blocks - Bag

These blocks are terrific for little ones since they are foam there is no danger of injury when the blocks fall and there is also no noise which makes them perfect for apartment living. My two year old loves the size and is thrilled to make very tall towers. I was unsure about which "jumbo" foam blocks to purchase but speaking now from experience, I highly recommend these. The thinner (less expensive) versions would be much harder to balance and the smaller ones wouldn't have the same impact. I also was torn between 16 and 32 quantity packs but at this stage/age, 16 is just right. It is surprising how much large foam blocks cost but after searching the internet, I was hard-pressed to find a less expensive source!

Our son is entering that stage were knocking down and building up blocks is a ton of fun. THese blocks are HUGE and yet soft and light and perfewct for him to crash into, roll around with and generally have a good time. Highly recommended!

We purchased these for our granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She had a prior experience with them with her play group and always headed right for them whenever she visited a particular friend. Now she has her own and plays with them all the time. They're very sturdily made and children love the shapes and colors. As a kindergarten teacher, I recommend Leap Frog products to parents often. This product is durable, educational and is of high quality. A former student learned her letters with this toy. However, when I ordered one to use to let kids take home for practice, I disliked the light up display. It was difficult to tell which letter was being displayed. The letters are all capital letters. Lower case letters are most helpful in learning to read. I did like the focus on the sounds.

Weird toy. My son(2) got into it right away. Figured it out. Then got bored. When the lights flash, you hit the flashing button, it thens say an animal name with the begining letter on the screen. We played for about 20mins. Now sits in the toy box.

I really love this toy! We have a 3 y/o and he is learning how to play it. I don't know what age this toy is rated for but a child 3-4 should be the low end of the age. I don't think a child older than 6-8 would find this fun or stay busy with it for more than a few minute.

This "made in Ghana" shekere sounds great. It is a West African style shekere, not the kind that produces a ringing or slightly boomy tone as you find with e.g. Meinl products. It is loud,easy to record with and cuts through the sound giving edge and definition to a track. Awesome value, very highly recommended.

I purchased this guitar for my son (almost 3), because he has been begging for a red (specifically red!) guitar. Before purchasing anything, I always spend hours on the internet, trying to find the right product. I wanted something that was sturdy, small enough for him, but also a REAL guitar, not a toy.

After having read many reviews of this and other guitars, I decided to get this one.

My son got the guitar yesterday, and he hasn't put it down since. It is a HUGE hit! It is a bit bigger than I anticipated, so he can't really hold it like it's meant to be held, but it still serves the purpose.

I did buy nylon strings, and replaced the original, steel strings, because I have a 1.5 year old as well, and I was worried that between the two of them they would break the steel strings, and knock their eyes out.

It is a wonderful guitar for the money. You definitely shouldn't expect a perfect instrument; it is not. (It has minor paint job problems, and one of the tuning keys gets stuck a little bit at certain teeth.) But for a little one (even for an older kid, who might actually start learning to play the guitar), this will work more than just fine. It is a proper guitar.

Also, it is wonderful that this guitar comes with its own case, stickers to put on, a pick, extra set of strings, a strap, and a tuning pipe! My 1.5 year old loves this "extra instrument" the most. :-)

All in all: this is a great deal!

I just received these. I had them on my registry but no one bought them so I ordered them myself and I'm so glad I did! They are super soft and a perfect size for a toy. Each makes it's own little sound and all the animals are adorable on the cubes. Because they are organic I have no problem with the fact that the baby will always have them in his mouth. I think they are definitely worth the money if you're in the market for organic goods. They are one of my favorite toys so far and they are also so cute that they would work as just a decoration in the nursery as well.

My son loves these blocks and I have the peace of mind knowing they are safe to chew and suck on. He has other soft blocks, but these are his favorite because they are easy to grab and carry around. The surfaces are also wonderfully soft and he likes to rub his face on the fuzzy and silky sides. A bit more expensive than other brands, but well worth it.

My baby just use clothes as teether, They are soft, and safe.

The only concern is you could not wash them or the sound would lost. I washed them and the sound lost.

But as the block is so soft and safe, it is ok if no sound appears.

I bought this for My 7 year old who LOVES baseball. I was a little concerned that it may be too difficult for him but I was plesently surprised that there are different levels of play. He likes the game and will some times sit down with it for an hour. He likes the idea of collecting the cards and being able to use them in the game. I would deffinatly reccomend this to a kid who really enjoys baseball. It's just like listening to a game on the radio except you are incharge! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was I had hoped the Basball cards would be a little more interactive. Other than that thumbs upway to go LEAP FROG. I really feel like the pen and games are something my child will enjoy for a few years!

We bought the two-pack version of this toy because we had several kids coming to stay. It's a blast. The rockets easily flew 100 feet or more (I'm not good at estimating). The rockets can be aimed to shoot straight up or lower to hit targets. We spent so much time stomping that our legs got tired. The kids who were waiting their turn to shoot the rockets had a great time trying to catch them falling from the sky. They're easy to put together and seem to be very durable. Some of the boys were jumping on the launch pad with both feet, and I don't see any damage.

Anything Leappad is great . Its one of the best things to come from the computer toy area for kids yet. My son is ahead of his class in reading with the help of Leappad. At 6 he reads at a midrange grade 1 student and is progressing quickly. I highly recommend This and any other Leap pad book and toy . We have the first four of the leappad phonics books as well as a whole bunch of other leappad books. My son who is beginning to read quite well at 4 doesn't usually play with the phonics books for too long but he really liked Book #4 especially the games at the end. What is quite tremendous is that where he had no real concept of spelling with the letter "u" before, he now spells with it all the time.
