Review of Skullduggery Cast and Paint Trex Casting Kit with BloPens
This was great for my 5 yr. old daughtres bday party, she's into it! and after it casted (easy out too) colored it, then coated with sealer, she uses in sandbox for scavenger hunts, and as a puzzle just don't get it wet or it will deteriorate! Can also make more with extra plaster of paris (party give-aways to take home & decorate with paint)This is so great and easy to use. I am gluing the mold to some paper and putting it in the bottom of a bin with sand on top for my son's dinosaur themed birthday party. It is perfect for a dino dig in the backyard. I hope the kids have a blast doing it.

Review of Reeve and Jones Super Hero in a Box
This is the best toy we've bought for our son. It's been used SO much. Quality is great and my son loves playing with this. Much nicer than any other cape I've seen and totally worth the money.
Very cute and good value. This is a gift that other moms tell me that thier kids still play with a year later.
The design of the cape, mask and cuffs are great for 3-5 year olds.
The materials are not the highest quality in appearance/feel, but it's made well enough to withstand regular play.

I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old nephew for Christmas. When we set up a video chat with his family, he was "flying" back and forth in the background while his sister called him "Superman Boy" and "Batman Boy". She also was wearing it at one point, assuming a good super hero stance. It looks like it will be a lot of fun now that they're getting snowed in.Honest reviews on Reeve and Jones Super Hero in a Box
My oldest received this as a gift about 3 years ago and it's still going strong. It's very comfortable and durable and is so small and light that we often pack it on trips. We're going to get another one for my youngest and while I wish there were more color options, it's a great deal for all of the fun imaginative play they get out of it. Highly recommended for any kid that likes to pretend to save the world.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Reeve and Jones Super Hero in a Box
Got this for a 4 year old friend's bday gift. It now goes everywhere with him! A great price for this set that includes the cape, mask and arm bands. Seems pretty sturdy too. His mom liked it so much she bought 2 more for his siblings. Great creative play!Friday, November 7, 2014

Review of Mexico Geography Placemat
Highly recommended product. The placemat is thickly laminated for multiple use. The front side of the placemat shows a map of Mexico's 32 mainland states with graphics that demonstrate Mexico's culture and include over 60 words in Spanish. The back of the placemat has many phrases in Spanish and English as well as how to count to 100 in Spanish. You can even color this placemat with a dry erase marker for added fun.My mama has always given me cool placements, so I am carrying on the tradition with kids that cross my path. We sent this placement to some kids far from their family so that they could place them geographically from an early age. Once we saw them, we decided to order some for ourselves! Very well made and bright and even better than the picture shows!

Discount Square Artist Pastels, 48 Assorted Colors Set
The pastels are soft pastels more than likely when they arrive you will have some broken. I had two broken which was no big deal since they were exactly in the middle. As the description describes they are 99% chalk, they act like that is a good thing. The higher end pastels have more pigment than these which is why they cost more.
They break up faster when you push down on the page than high end ones as well because as you try to put more pigment down instead you get more chalk. You don't want more chalk on your painting you want more pigment.
CONS:
Blending:
As for blending it can blend as does all soft chalk just not as well as for example Rembrandt brand. Rembrandt doesn't break up as easy has bolder colors and seems like less chalk more pigment. But that is a 3 x price difference.
Bold Colors:
The colors are not as bold as high end brands because of the lack of pigment. As the term Pastel colors comes to mind. Rather than bright bold reds, greens, extra. Only a few colors out of the 48, one yellow and pink seem to have any boldness. Maybe those two good chalks were mistakes at the factory they put more pigment in resulting in two good ones.
Going over the top of another color:
Somewhat more difficult as well.
PRO
Price:
Amount of Colors: 48
Two Whites, Two Blacks:
The great thing about it was there are 48 colors and they give you two white and two black the colors that you need two of you get. I may even say three white. White is so important only way you can lighten besides taking it off.
Size of Stick:
The stick size is decent if it was 1/2 the length in size with more pigment that would be better because you have to push chalk to get the pigment.
Overall I probably buy them again. The price is right they blend well enough. The pigment is not bold but workable. Though I must admit if they are almost at the brink with pigment if they change this in any way worse with the stick I wouldn't buy them again. There are a few worse brands in this price range with less chalk in the box.

This is my second set. I am not an artist but I use them frequently to color flannel board stories and home school projects. They blend well and the colors are fine for me, I am sure that the pigments would be brighter in more expensive sets but for my purposes I can get dark colors. I was surprised that chalk projects also work well heat laminated, I was worried that the dust might prevent the lamination to stick but I have laminated many, many chalk colored projects.Best Deals for Square Artist Pastels, 48 Assorted Colors Set

This is my first time ever using pastels. And because I found this product I was able to take my drawings to a whole new level. The product itself was received very quickly, in good shape with no broken pastels, and the colors are really brilliant. The only thing--and this can apply to all pastels-is that they do ware really quickly. And even though they're hard they still will break pretty easily. Though I love it because it really opened me up to new ideas that I couldn't do with a pencil. I recommend everyone to this product.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Square Artist Pastels, 48 Assorted Colors Set

I bought this for my grandson for a christmas present and he just loved this. He loves digging for fossils and anything to do with Dinosaurs. Great Gift!!!!
The 'board game' is pretty lame. There are few spaces that have any statements/go forward/go back, etc. and they don't require any sort of dino knowledge. The board is also very thin. The one plus is that the boys were able to finish one game during their 30 minute session. I'd rather pay more for a game that requires students to use what they've learned, or learn something new.

great idea to combine digging with playing a game. would recommend this item for kids. what else can i dayBest Deals for 4M Dig-And-Play Dinosaur World
I ordered this game/kit for a group of students who had just completed a reading unit on dinosaurs. The first problem is that all of the 'fossilized' dinos are in one solid brick and the kit contains one tool. Not a good arrangement for a group of four boys, so I decided to let my son unearth the dinos. Good thing, because it took him well over an hour. The 'board game' is pretty lame. Schoenhut C1010 - 37 Key Melodica (Black) Reviews
I bought this melodica here on Amazon, through Target. No fault of either that this melodica stinks! Low quality keys, sound, was out of tune and CANNOT BE TUNED(according to my melodica/accordion repairman)Thank God amazon has a great return policy, so I got my money back and ordered the Hohner ST32, it is a WAY HIGHER QUALITY melodica in several ways: louder, higher quality mouthpiece and extension hose with stronger plastic, bigger keys and better quality nice rounded keys, great tone, it was only slightly off key which is no big deal-compared to the Schoenhut which was so out of tune with itself it sounded like a nightmare!
Buy a Hohner if you are a serious musician and want good quality for 4.99 more, the difference is massive!
I own a 99.00 hohner melodica and this ST32 is still comparable! The Schoenhut is a toy, this Hohner st32 is a serious instrument, and you CANNOT beat the price!
Most melodica players purchase either the more popular 37/36-key or the less popular 32-key melodicas. All melodicas are made out of plastic
The key range is from F2 to F5 (Middle C = C3). This is a three octave range and the Schoenhut Melodica is probably one of the largest sized Melodica made. It is 20" x 5" x 3" in size, the same as the Hohner ST-32 melodica.
It is sold as a toy and this keeps the price down but the Schoenhut Melodica is a real musical instrument. It is made in China for the Schoenhut company but the quality of this melodica is high. The Schoenhut Melodica is suppose to be one of the better melodica's mamufactured. Hohner melodicas are also nice sounding, great quality melodicas but they cost more and the Schoenhut Melodica is the best quality best melodica that you can buy for the money.
The keyboard itself is well made, the keys have a nice feel and it is easy to tell when they are engaged. The only issue with the keyboard is that the white keys for the first octave make a slight scraping noise when depressed, it can't be heard while casually playing, but it could be a problem with close miking (though it may go away with use). As others have mentioned the keys are not perfectly level with each other, but this is a purely cosmetic issue and does not affect the feel.
The melodica sounds very good for its price, but don't expect it to sound like a $150+ Hohner. There are no obvious pitch issues, though I have not checked with a tuner. The top F key takes significantly more air to sound than the E below it, but it is usable if you compensate for it.
The build quality is excellent. It is made from a nice durable plastic and has a very nice heft to it. The only issue I can foresee is that the nylon hand strap on the bottom could be pulled out of place if handled too roughly, but it should be easy to get back into position.
Overall I am very happy with this melodica. Its quality surpasses its price tag and I believe that I will be using it for a long time. This instrument is well suited for education, messing around, and performance.
The sound and key action on the lower half of my Schoenhut are quite good. Beyond that the tone gets increasingly thinner and edgier, and key action is uneven. There are a couple of keys for which you have to blow harder to get a clear and even sound, which disrupts what you're trying to do with the rest of the keyboard. I'm enjoying my Schoenhut, but I'll gift it to the lawn boy before I head home.
Google around at the moment and you might find the Schoenhut for $27, a truly remarkable bargain. But it's a very good value at $42.

My husband is a pianist and finds this melodica instrument a useful alternative to practicing tunes or ear training when he's waiting in the car.Honest reviews on Schoenhut C1010 - 37 Key Melodica (Black)
I bought this melodica after reading reviews for it and the Hohner 32-key Student melodica. I chose this one because it was supposed to have fewer durability issues and it has a larger range. The melodica comes with a very nice semi-rigid case (much better than padded for gigging use) and both the 'straw' and mouthpiece are well made, though I doubt I will often use the mouthpiece because of the melodica's size. I have had the Schoenhut for two months now so I'd have a little keyboard to work with during the winter in Mexico. Two conclusions I've come to at this point: (1) The melodica is a terrific little instrument, especially for someone with keyboard experience. I'm taking it more seriously than I expected. (2) I'm ready to move up! After some research, I ordered the Suzuki Pro-37v2; I also considered the Hammond (Suzuki) 44 and the wooden Mylodica. These instruments cost about ten times what the Schoenhut does, but I expect that any one of them (and maybe some cheaper alternatives as well) can fulfill the promise that the Schoenhut demonstrates but cannot fulfill. The Pro-37v2 and the Mylodica are praised for their warm and even tones. The sound and key action on the lower half of my Schoenhut are quite good. LeapPad Phonics Book 4 Review
Anything Leappad is great . Its one of the best things to come from the computer toy area for kids yet. My son is ahead of his class in reading with the help of Leappad. At 6 he reads at a midrange grade 1 student and is progressing quickly. I highly recommend This and any other Leap pad book and toy . Most schools have dropped Phonics from the classrooms and Leappad has brought it back in a fun form your little one will love...

We have the first four of the leappad phonics books as well as a whole bunch of other leappad books. My son who is beginning to read quite well at 4 doesn't usually play with the phonics books for too long but he really liked Book #4 especially the games at the end. What is quite tremendous is that where he had no real concept of spelling with the letter "u" before, he now spells with it all the time.Best Deals for LeapPad Phonics Book 4
This was a Christmas gift for my 6 and 8 yr old sons and they are enjoying it. They have been reading anf playing the games. Very satisfied.
