This bus must be fetched by my daughter to sing "Wheels on the bus" daily (she is 15 months and has had this toy for 3 months). Also her little wood dolls like to ride on top ;) It is very well constructed and the size and weight is perfect for little hands. It rolls very well, and it will last through my rough and tumble toddler and beyond. I'm not sure the company makes this bus anymore? If you're thinking about this bus, buy it! I believe it's the best one out there and I am constantly on the look out for the best quality toys.

My expectations were low after seeing a previous product, a paper thin boombox, in the stores. These things are pretty sturdily built and sound pretty good for what they are. Playing through the built-in songs is fun, and playing "real guitar chords" in freestyle mode along with another one of these guitars can even teach you the chord progression of the song, handy for playing a real guitar. These run on 3 "AA" batteries (not included) so stock up if you get more than one of these (I bought the full set of 6). I like very much the fact that each one of these guitars plays different songs than all the rest (I was hoping for that), so there are 18 different songs that these play all together, and there is already a second series of six more different guitars to collect. It sure beats the price of collecting the real guitars! Lots of fun for all ages and the price ($25 each) is reasonable, but wait, there's amps, drums, and neck straps to collect as well!! My credit card is already groaning!!

Remo drums have great sound and are extremely well made. My 5 year old grandson has 3 of them including this large gathering drum. It is fantastic to see several kids play together and synchronize their beats. It can be played with either mallets or hands to produce beautiful music.

Everyone else has mentioned the key points. It's a BreadBoard. The last line of the right up does mention "Peelable adhesive tape backing provided for attaching to a surface."

Here is what isn't mentioned. This thing is designed to be snapped together. You can take the power rails off of one side and add them to the other or remove them all together. If you buy more than one of these you can snap them together to make a much larger BreadBoard.

Last point, there is a companion SB400, that is a single sided PC board that has the exact same layout as the BB400, so once you have a working design, you can transfer it right over to a PCB to solder finalize.

All in all I'm impressed with the thought that was put into this simple product.

Bought a couple to create modular systems for the design of a device I have been working on for about a year. The connections all seemed to be snug and I had no issues with loose or ill conected components. Using the modular design concept allowed me to substitute different a module and immediately evaluate the overall changes in the device and also allowed me to return to a previous set up with a minimum amount of fuss. I would buy several if you are working with digital or analog systems just for the convenience alone.

This is a good breadboard.

My only problem:

I purchased this BB400 and the larger BB830 together. I assumed they would fit together with their tongue and groove system. This is incorrect.

The BB400 has smaller joints than the BB830 (which makes sense, now).

It was my fault for not taking a closer look at the pictures.

This is a great little breadboard. Plenty of room for small projects, yet compact enough to be mountable without getting in the way. The plastic seems to be of high quality, and the adhesive really sticks! I've typically used a nice piece of hardwood as a base for different projects, and this breadboard fits great among the other components (battery holders, lasers, mechanical arms, etc...).

Keep in mind you can remove both power rails, and also join multiple boards together. A handy feature.

I've already used three, and I'm back for more!

This is a breadboard. It's very simple yet incredibly helpful in prototyping circuits before committing to a permanent solder job. HOWEVER, this particular model can be ruined if you use the seemingly great adhesive bottom. All of the contacts are held in by the adhesive layer. I had this stuck to a project to keep the wiring stable, but when attempting to remove this product the adhesive layer tore off in chunks, taking the innards with it.

Needless to say, I'll be replacing it with something much more durable and well-designed.

If you buy this (the price isn't bad at all), just don't stick it to anything!

This kit offers a great introduction to dinosaurs for little boys. The six glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs roam our Lego landscapes, scale the sofa and are frequently "contraband" at bedtime -our boys love how these dinosaur skeletons glow.

The folding dinorama has plenty of information for beginners and intermediate learners. The ilustrations are colorful, too. We bought this for our 4-year old and 5-year old boys. While we spend more time practicing our dinosaur roars now, the kit has plenty to offer to keep it interesting as they grow older.

This is a great toy. I have two children who are 6 and 3. They both enjoy playing with this toy. I also enjoy playing with this toy. My 6 year old would definitely like to have more in order to make more complicated shapes/structures. Overall a very cool toy.

This may be the best toy ever.

The parts are well made. The box is pretty small, but when I started working with them, there were plenty to have fun with. The magnets are strong enough to make structures, but you have to build the structure carefully, so it is well braced.

This size set gives you plenty to get started with, but you will need more to satisfy your craving for larger structures. There are some videos on YouTube which are great, but have monstrous size sets.

I suppose that when my 6 year old granddaughter comes over, I will let her play with them...

I am really pleased with this toy. My 9 yo son has played with it several times since receiving it for Christmas and will play with it for hours, no exaggeration. He likes to make different shapes with it and unfold them then ask me what shape it becomes when put back to 3D. And yes he is a normal child who enjoys video games more than I care to have him play. I was also very happy that they arrived much earlier than promised. I was told it would be early January (they were shipped from the UK) but we got them before Christmas! I believe I will be ordering more so he can build on this set. His birthday is right around the corner.....

First, your child should probably be beginning to read, know most of the alphabet and each letter's sounds probably around kindergartento benefit from this, at least if you want them to play by themselves.

The cards are 5"x 3.5" in size.

There are six green stars that represent the varying games and here are what they represent:

NAME JAMMER this is just for fun. Pick a letter and the game will grant you a silly name for the duration. G = Groovy Grasshopper and so forth.

WORD 5: Pick a beginning sound. So I pick an 'S' and it tells me to find an ending sound to make the word 'sun." I find the card 'un' and the game sounds out the word 'sun.' for me. Then it tells me to find more. I pick the card 'it' and it tells me I made the word sit and to find more words that start with S. If you pick a wrong combo, such as 'ig' which would make 'sig' it will tell you to try again. This exercise is timed and at the end, it tallies up your successes.

There is an additional fold out that has examples of words. Example: there is a bold 'G' with the words gap, get and got underneath it. It is a reference card to help with putting words together.

RHYME TIME: Choose an ending sound like 'ip' then the game will tell you to find the beginning sound 'zzzz' to make the word zip. I find 'z' and it sounds out zip. It then tells me to find 4 more beginning sounds to make more rhyming words.

WORD FUSER = It states find the beginning and ending sounds 'h' and 'ug.' There are a lot of cards, so for a kid to go 'hhhh' and find letter 'h' and the the sound 'uuu' and 'ggg' on the 'ug' card. Good game, but my child ran out of time. So this game for when his skills have improved.

DJ WORD touch a beginning sound. I picked 'r.' Now I have to find an ending card that will make a word that starts with 'rrr.' I picked 'id.' It now sounds out the word 'rid' for me and informs me I made a word, groovy grasshopper.

TUNE TIME (didn't like this one). Pick a beginning sound. I picked 'b' which has a picture of a bat and and bed. It tells me to choose a picture. I pick bat and it sings a short goofy song that after one time, wants me to sing along with it. Annoying to me trying to be all cute, but kids may like it and it helps with phonics skills.

Overall pretty good. The cards are fairly thick and sturdy. The cards incorporate learning letters and phonics, as well as utilize those skills to make words. The colors and design are attractive. It gives verbal instruction, but also allows the player independence to make words on their own. I like also the fold out with the words written on it, so the kids have something to refer to. The cards are color coded as end sounds have an orange border and beginning sounds are either purple or green. Not sure why though, the beginning sounds edging are two colors? The backs of each of the cards have the alphabet written on them that make fun phonetic sounds when selected.

Things I would change:

Perhaps make the cards a wee bit smaller. This takes up quite a bit of room and is somewhat difficult to put all the cards within arm's reach of a smaller child. My six year old had to keep getting off his chair to reach the cards he wanted, and this didn't help much with the 'timed' game.

How about some written instructions for parents.

Why are the beginning sounds edges purple(7) or green (12).

The fold out with the words has most of the word combos you could make, but not ALL the available combos. Under letter 'Y' it only has 'yet.' What about yip, and yap? There is still room available on the foldout?

I'm glad I bought this and my 6 year old seems to like it, though he still needs some help. He is adopted from another country and has lived here less than a year, so I am also using it to improve his ESL skills. I like that it incorporates, sound, sight and doing to learn, which is great.

We are huge Tag fans at our house but this was a complete disappointment. It is impossible to play without spreading all the cards out on the floor around your child, and even then, the games are very slow moving because it takes a while for the child to locate the beginning/ending sounds that are called for. Additionally, there is a lot of "talking" from the Tag pen in between activities that is a real drag. I would not recommend this at all for a Pre-K or Kdgn child. It required WAY too much patience, even for and adult! Stick to the books with activities at the end. They are much more effective. This is a waste of money for use with the Tag pen. We do spend more time just playing with the cards and building words on our own. If you want a fun game for building words with your child, get the Sound Hounds game! My kids (aged 3, 4, & 5) love that game.

My 16 month old son received this in his 2013 Easter Basket. He absolutely loves it, so much in fact, that he actually runs after the pieces, picks them up and returns to his playstation, if they accidentally hit the floor. He loves constructing a train and moving them around. When we first presented it to him he was a little overwhelmed with all the pieces so we gave him just a portion of the train and a few of the pieces until he got the hang of it then introduced the rest of it to him later. Great wooden toy to have in your toybox.

Cheap Discover Amber Kit

The "Discover Amber" kit was fun for the entire family. Buffing down the pieces of Amber to reveal the bugs inside was a real treat for me and my kids. In one of our pieces we found a really cool looking insect. This kit was hands-on, educational and fun. I highly recommend it!

The Discover Amber Kit comes with five pieces of real amber, six sheets of sandpaper, a foil tray, a magnifying glass, a booklet, and a real scorpion inside a piece of fake amber on a key chain.

If you're looking for the instructions, it's on the back of the booklet. Sand the amber on one plane in a tin of water for a few minutes on each piece of sandpaper starting with the one numbered 1 and moving on to number 6. There's really only enough room for one person to work in the pan at a time, but you can always get another tin of water.

My eight year-old daughter and I only polished one side of each piece, as instructed, so it looks like a window into the amber. The organisms trapped inside are very small, smaller than an ant. Some of the pieces don't have any visible organisms at all. We tried the magnifying glass, but it is plastic and not very functional. Still, we admire the amber for its beauty.

The booklet is short but packed with information. It tells where amber comes from, how the insects get caught inside, how to tell real amber from fake amber, and a little about scorpions, as well. An interesting fact I learned: the amber in the kit is 2 to 40 million years old.

My daughter and I both had fun and learned something together today. She gives it five stars.

This kit was a big disappointment! I was very excited to get this kit and begin polishing the amber with my son. We read the book which I found to be educational and interesting but the fun ended there. We highly polished all the pieces of amber and only found 2 small ant like bugs. One of them was so close to the surface that we polished 1/2 the bug away before we could examine it. The other was so small we could only tell it was a bug with a magnifying glass and then only barely. I contacted the company directly before writing this review in the hopes that they would respond. They did not return my email. Too bad it was such a great idea.

However, he got a sense of pride when he presented the polished result to his mother for Mother's Day. He did a good job, and didn't lose interest, even after he learned it was basically clear, because it became very pretty gift, that he made himself.
