Cheap Unique Art 21-Inch Tall Blue Lapis Ocean Table Top Gemstone World
I love this world globe, is not like the actual stone made globes you can find in stores for $2K but it looks very nice for the price, the only thing is that it needs to be adjusted after a while.I think it is worth the money. Very attractive globe, would recommend and get alot of compliments on it. Draws attention.

Leap Frog COUNT & SCAN SHOPPER w Handheld Talking & Singing Scanner Review
The Count and Scan Shopper is by far my three year old daughter's favorite birthday gift. I lost count of how many times I went "shopping" on her birthday and the following days.
It not only counts, but also sings and teaches colors. It also has a volume control, which is good, because after the first hour even the cute voice can get on your nerves. The Count and Scan Shopper can also be used with other play food; it asks things like "Is that organic?" and says things like, "Oh, good it's on sale."

Best V.Smile VTech - V - Motion: Wall.E Deals
My son loves WALL-E, and this V-tech game is both educational, and lots of fun! The games are simple enough so that toddlers can play, and understand what they are doing. The hand-eye coordination is a great stepping stone tool for the little ones.

This is the second game that my almost 4 year old nephew has gotten for the vmotion. He has figured out how to navigate the menus on his own and loves almost all of the games. Great entertainment, but don't expect a schoolbook lesson or anything. Some color matching and number identification but nothing hard core. Great for him as an intro to the world of video games.Best Deals for V.Smile VTech - V - Motion: Wall.E
I purchased this for my 3 yr old granddaughter and she loves to play WallE. She feels like she is playing a grownup version of a video game.Honest reviews on V.Smile VTech - V - Motion: Wall.E
The Wall E game for V-Motion is really cute. It teaches kids how to count, what the numbers look like, and the alphabet. The image is not as good as I thought it was going to be because the graphics are not as good as other games that are out there or the gaming system.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for V.Smile VTech - V - Motion: Wall.E
This product is great for everyone. My 4 year old plays with this everyday. She loves it and her best friend who is a boy plays with it too. This works for all genders and ALL WALL-E fans! Great value for the price!Friday, October 3, 2014
Reviews of Safari Ltd Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly Model Kit
This set of 3-D butterfly life cycle models is beautiful. They come handpainted, a perfect size for a child to handle and look at. It really helps children who may not understand or have a complete idea about the life cycle of a butterfly, particularly when you may have a class where live butterflies are not easily accessible. It's quite lifelike. However, it's not as durable as I would have wanted. When one of my younger students (3 years old) was looking at the cocoon, it broke off from the twig. The butterfly seems quite flexible but was also broken. I would suggest that a set like this be used for older children who have conceputal ideas of working gently with their materials -perhaps 5 and 6 years old. Other than that, a great classroom tool!

Better quality than I 'd imagined! Lifelike but larger. A great educational or decorative tool. Very pleased with my purchase.Best Deals for Safari Ltd Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly Model Kit
To flimsy it was broken by the second day probably should make your product out of better material!!!!! Should think about that when you are making something for a childHonest reviews on Safari Ltd Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly Model Kit
I do some teaching of preschoolers through second grade. This "toy" was a great addition to my lessons on metamorphosis! Children could handle the life-like items and see the different cycles described in the book. A great teaching tool for all ages! I purchased other similar products, which also were well received by my students.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Safari Ltd Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly Model Kit
The moldings are Gi-Hugic! The set is very representative of the monarch's life cycle, but the scale is WAY off. The butterfly is too small, and the rest of the pieces are just crazy big. I guess if you're 9 years old the sizes might not bother you.Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Cheap NSI 49004 Smithsonian Eco Dome Habitat with Triops
This product is exactly as described and got my kids very interested in learning about the little critters and plants. However, it did not take long at all for them to want a larger aquarium. We quickly evolved to getting a fish aquarium and a real ant farm. I would say this is a great set for kids who you are introducing to the idea of habitats, and it is really great if you have limited space. It does take monitoring because you're working with live creatures.

Play-2-Learn Go Fish: Stream of Self-Esteem Review
The directions say there is an easy set and a harder set of cards and they could be told apart by the coloring on the back but all cards were colored the same way. There are some great discussion questions.

Cheap Variola Ball Track System
This is just a beautiful piece. Gorgeous solid wood construction, lively non-toxic colors, thoughtful and engaging design. Made in Germany. Heirloom quality.
I looked at several ball and track sets and finally decided the Haba version was just too advanced for a 2 year old to enjoy. The plastic Made-in-China versions looked like junk. I was actually concerned that it would be too simplistic because it is safe for a one year old, but that really relates to the size of the ball. I am grateful I don't have to worry about actual marbles around the baby. My toddler has good fine motor skills and can manipulate the basic pieces but will be able to grow and enjoy the games for a long time to come. The design is really thoughtful and can be arranged many different ways.
It is also attractive enough to leave out during a dinner party. Several of our guests enjoyed playing with it.it's the coolest toy my son has. i bought it for his first birthday knowing he wouldn't really understand or have intrest in how it worked. more just mouthing everything. around 18mos i started playing with it more. DS would always rip apart my designs before i had a chance to roll the ball down. but now at 21 mos my son is careful not to destroy the track and enjoys placing the ball on the track and watching it go through everything. just this afternoon while playing with it he was trying to piece his own track together. i guess it will be only time until he understand they all fit together in a certain way. but i LOVE this toy! it's a shame selecta will not be selling it in the states anymore. very well made. quality chip proof paint.

Right out of the box the microscope worked great. Software loaded right up and we were able to project some great images. I would rate the overall experience fantastic if there had been some assembly instructions included in the box or a note to go to You Tube for the demonstration video which was well done and very informative. Also at the time of the purchase making sure that the buyer knows that they are not going to get any slides (not even one) might have prompted an add on purchase and a lot less scrambling around trying to find sides locally during the birthday party. Cheap VTech - V.Smile Pull n' Play Phone
I'm disspointed, I thought this was going to be a big hit. I was wrong. Here are a sampling of my problems with this toy:
1. The handle doesn't stay on the base well.
2. The cord is too short (granted this is probably a mandatory safety issue so we can't hold the manufacturer responsible), so your head has to be very akwardly close to the base to "talk" into the receiver.
3. It's on wheels but can't be pulled by the phone handle b/c that comes out of the side, and again is fairly short.
4. In voice (versus music) mode, it says the number you press than beeps; if you press a series of numbers, i.e. 1, 2, 3, it will say those numbers as you press them without beeping inbetween but if you press the same number twice in a row it will not repeat the number, it will just go on finishing the appropriate number of beeps so... the child can't practice dialing numbers since many real phone numbers have the same number in repetition such as 555-1234 (it would say 5 and beep 5 times even as you press the 5 key twice more).
5. The button to make the dog holding the phone pop up is hard for little children to press (have to press hard to work).
6. My son has had this from about 6 months to now 20 months and it RARELY gets played with. We rotate toys so he's not overwhelmed with choices, but I've always kept this one in the mix and he almost never plays with it. So, above all my complaints, the fact is that the child just doesn't think it fun enough to play with.
The cord is too short, of course. It could have been a little longer, since most parents, with a longer cord would be watching their kid anyway. I would rather have a shorter cord, but we'll see when she gets older... it's frustrating for me especially trying to show her how to say "hi / bye" on it...
The music is good and there is a lot of variety in it... lots of songs. I like the fact that the doggy talks to the child and communicates with a clear enough voice to hear.
If you bump the phone it makes noise, but when i'm playing with her at the time, it draws her to the phone.
The busy signal is annoying and I don't even know why they put that in there. The number noises kind of sound like Spongebob Squarepants sometimes and the others sort of sound like Barney.
Educationally, the phone is pretty cute and good! It teaches numbers, if they can recognize the symbols, that is.
Over all, I really love the phone! It' cute... the doggy pops up and down... But the reciever doesn't stay on that good and the toy is kind of loud and the cord is too short. (good thing there are volume options and an off option).
Baby Girl likes it though and bounces to the music, as with a lot of the rest of her musical toys... this one is one of the most that she bounces to, though.
There are two options -music and talking. The music option will play a cute kid song when you hit the buttons. The talking setting will shout out a number (and eventually drive you nuts), so that's why I'll rate this ok for educational purposes. Also at times, you'll hear a busy signal (which they may as well put screeching-nails-on-a-chalkboard sounds).
There is a volume control, but even on the quieter setting it's very loud. Even for those of us with selective hearing, this toy just penetrates the ear drums. Just bumping the phone can trigger loud songs/noises. You don't actually need to hit a button. And sometimes I don't even know why it makes noises.
The good option -there IS an off switch for the noise. (I just was rocking him for a nap, and the chair bumped the phone. It was disturbingly loud. Had I turned the phone OFF, I wouldn't have had that problem. ) And it also seems to be very sturdy. As much as I would love him to break it, I doubt he'll be doing that any time soon.
I will look for a more simple and realistic phone for my son to enjoy...he still prefers our real phone and it's simple beeps.

This toy was given to my 10 month old son. It is loud and difficult to understand what is being said. It doesn't really look like a phone (as we know them today) so he doesn't relate the toy to our telephone. This toy is also quite heavy and the cord is too short to use as a pull toy, but rather as a weapon. My son like to whip the heavy toy around and knock me in the knees or his father in the head. The danger this toy poses and the utter annoyance of the voices, far out way any possible educational value of this toy.Best Deals for VTech - V.Smile Pull n' Play Phone
We have the old version of this phone. Im not sure if this one has a cord that is on the front of it but ours did. Im writing this to warn everyone who is upset that the cord on this toy is too short. Ours had a cord for the phone and a cord to pull the toy with. I was in making dinner one day and i heard some crying and i walked in to find both of the two cords got tangled some how around one of my little boys neck! when i got it off there was a deep purple indent on his poor neck. Now i know some people might be saying i need to watch my babies more but only a mother of twins would understand how hard it is. Now the cord to pull the toy has been cut off, they still like the toy however. Im just glad i got to him in time.Honest reviews on VTech - V.Smile Pull n' Play Phone
My daughter has had this phone since 6 months and she loves it. She is 1 year now. I am not very pleased with this toy. We have tons of music/noise toys, but this is the worst. I think my 10 month old is often turned off by it's noises as much as we. GEOBOARD 5 X 5 TRANSPARENT 7-1/4 Reviews
Very pleased! Because it is transparent children have to option of putting the pattern card underneath and building "ontop" of the pattern card, which is a beginning level. Ontop is very helpful for younger children and also those with learning challenges. Very versitile and sturdy. Wish you could buy extra bands seperately! Can be a challenge not to misplace one in a busy classroom or when traveling. Works great on carseat tray!

Cheap Fraction Formula Game
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $26.99
Sale Price: $23.51

The game play is kind of like blackjack. The only real choice is to go over or not. I must say that sometimes it is hard to tell who really won because it is so colse. The lowest common denomonator is 64 or the like to get a offical answer. Overall the game is fun and it makes fractions fun.
I have always been a fan of games in the classroom. They provide an excellent way to develop the understanding of concepts through inquiry... provided of course the games are unique, engaging, and mathematically sound in process and content. Fraction Formula definitely meets these three criteria.
The parts are big and bold, not easily lost, and are very dimensional, which is a huge asset when it comes to teaching. The instructions are easy to read and figure out, enough so that a group of children could grab the game and go. The playing of the game moves along fast enough to not bore children, but smooth enough to promote thoughtful interaction.
From a classroom perspective this a good game to have on the shelf.
Benefits:
Easy to understand.
Rules and scoring can be modified for different ages and abilities.
Pieces seem quite durable and easy to clean.
Color of pieces match the color of the corresponding fraction card.
Fast paced and can choose to play one or many rounds.
My six year old son even enjoyed playing with the game pieces on his own!
Drawbacks:
If you have pets you should know that the pieces attract pet hair!
Is not a complicated game and can become monotonous to some.

What a fun game!! This is one of the cleverest ways I have ever seen for teaching the concepts of fractions. GeoCentral Dinosaur Egg with Creature Excavation Kit - Tyrannosaurus Review
This shipped out really fast. I had it within 3 days of ordering so I was very pleased. But it is very small, I was expecting it to be bigger since it was 15 dollars, it's about 3 inches tall. But overall I'm happy with it because I know my lil man is going to light up when he gets a "real" dinosaur egg.

Review of Young Scientist Series - Set 9: Magnetism (Kit 25) - Static
The kit doesn't warn you you'll need quite a few extra supplies before starting, which seriously delayed the fun on Christmas morning. And the experiments are ones you can find pretty much anywhere online. My daughter had more fun creating her own experiments with the supplies provided than following the instructions. While I'm glad I purchased this to find out about it, I don't think I would purchase another of these kits.
