These flash cards are PERFECT for toddlers/preschoolers! I got them for my child at 2 years old, the colors and pictures were big and vibrant they actually held her attention for our mini "school" time. Now, at three she is a pro, she has other flash cards, but STILL goes for these first. A truly WONDERFUL buy.

P.S.I am not at all a Dora fanatic mom, nor is my daughter. She actually loves all Nick Jr. Cartoons. I felt the need to include that, due to any mom who may miss out on a great set of flash cards, due to the character.

Purchased these flash cards for my daughter because she loves dora, The cards themselves are really cute and educational, but they are so cheaply made that I had to laminate them before using them. The material used is so thin and fragile.

My daughter likes the toys, but the main reason she wanted it was because of the deer family. When she received the order, it had everything in the pictures except for the little fawn. She was very disappointed, but she still plays with the rest of the animals in the set.

I ordered this set for my daughter. She has been collecting the Schleich animals for a while and was attracted by the large number of animals in this set for the relatively low price. She is happy with her purchase but wishes the detail on the animals was better. Other problems are: the squirrel is disproportionately large, the Buffalo is top heavy and we had to heat the plastic and adjust the legs to get him to stand up.

Overall, just "okay" for play.

These are very well made and durable toys. We actually used them to top a birthday cake for my daughter. The only downside was the size proportion of the otter and squirrel. They were much larger than I expected compared to the deer and buffalo. But we made due with it. A lot of detail in these toys and I would come back to purchase more if I need to.

We are generally happy with the set. It's easy for our 19 month old to climb in and out of the seats by himself and the storage bin is handy. My only complaint is that the paint is easily scratched, and although the instructions state that touch up paints are available, I'd rather have the initial quality a little better. This wasn't what I would call inexpensive.

We have been very pleased with this table and bench set. Our daughter has used it for crafts, eating, reading, school work, etc. The reviewer who said her 2 year old leaned on the table and broke it must have gotten a defective one, because we've had this set for several years (maybe 5?) and it has held up very well despite being leaned on, sat on, stood on, and moved from one room of the house to another... never a problem. The finish has withstood crayon, glue, paint, pencils, markers; you name it! I have no doubt that the set will hold up for, at least, another 5 years for our baby when she is big enough to use it. The reviewer's son who broke the table must have been huge, because our 50 pound 7 year old and her friends still use this table and sit in the benches. Their legs are a bit long for the benches, but even at this age they don't "dwarf" it as the reviewer said her 2 year old does. It isn't small at all, so I have to wonder if that reviewer reviewed the wrong product. This really is a great set and worth the money. I wish they had the pastel colors back when I bought it; I would have bought that one instead of the primary.

We bought this table for our 20-month-old for Christmas. It was a big hit. She loves to sit at it and color and now eat her breakfast and snack. She can easily climb into the chairs and it is the perfect size for her but I can also see it growing as she grows. My husband found it easy to put together. Is easy to keep clean and seems very durable. Definitely would recommend it. Plus the way it all slides together, it doesn't take up much space.

This KidKraft set is a great addition to our one-year-old son's activity collection. It is very good looking, the quality is impeccable and assembly is, more or less, fairly straight forward if you pay close attention. Our son really took to sitting at this table I think it makes him feel a bit more grown up as opposed to his high chair, so he even prefers eating here.

With that said, the paint fumes move this 5 star product down 2-3 stars. The neutral bench is fine...the red, green and blue pieces are room-clearing with their paint odor. I called KidKraft (phone answered by a real, quasi-helpful person!) and they instructed me to leave it in a well ventilated area outside for 24-48 hours. Didn't even phase the smell. After washing it with Mrs. Meyers solution, then letting it sit for a FULL WEEK here in a hot, dry Arizona April, then wiping it down again with a Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap solution, I can safely say about 90% of the smell is gone.

KidKraft charge an extra ten bucks and get some less-caustic paint. It should not take a week to make a high-end product like this usable...

If you are willing to go through this hassle for an expensive accessory, you will have a solid piece that will last through several kids.

This is a great set for the young experimentor. I bought it for my 6 year old who has been asking for a chemistry set. It uses items that you should already have around the house, like salt and baking soda. They are easy experiments. I would recommend this for maybe 5-9. The younger ones will need parental help, but it is fun.

My son really loves science and wanted a kit so he could conduct experiments. I looked for something he could do on his own/ or without much adult involvement. He could do everything on his own (7 yrs old). However, there aren't that many "tricks"/ experiments to do and one didn't work. I guess, it's not bad and value for money is fine. I"m just not sure I would re-buy it/ recommend it.

I bought this kit for my 5 year old son as part of our homeschooling curriculum. We have enjoyed other kits in this series, but this one is a disappointment. The experiments themselves are interesting. However, what is lacking in this kit are any educational explanations so the child actually understands the results of the experiments. Also, the whole kit can be completed in one sitting.

I love this guitar. I play professionally under the name Susan SurfTone. My playing experience goes back over 40 years and I've owned a lot of guitars. The DRG Rock Candy is the one I reach for now for both recording and live performance. I own one and I just bought another. It's that good. The neck is the most comfortable neck I've ever played and the guitar's tone is great. I used it recently at a showcase in LA and got a lot of compliments on its sound and appearance. The Rock Candy is a keeper for sure.

I use research-grade microscopes in my work and bought this economy model for home use for looking at bugs and pond-life. The microscope was delivered promptly and well packed. Overall I was quite impressed. The image was sharp and showed no noticeable color fringes or distortion as found in "toy" microscopes. The instruction booklet was generic and did not cover this particular model (although principles were the same). This model is described as "reverse stereo" which means the image is right side up and moves in the same direction as the object. Variable magnification was achieved by rotating the objective turret (1x and 3x) and changing eyepieces (5x and 10x). The latter needed a small crosshead screwdriver which was not supplied. Another tool was supplied with no description which might be for lifting the bulbs from their mounts. Both top and bottom bulbs (12V 10W) got very hot in use, so pond water samples would quickly warm up. There are no condenser lenses associated with the light sources so they illuminate an area much bigger than the observation area , but they are bright enough for viewing. The field of view seems smaller than other stereo microscopes that I have used (20 mm for 10X magnification) and the eyepieces have to be close together to get a satisfactory stereo image (may be a problem if you have a big nose!). The rubber eye guards provided were a little too big to get the proper eye to eyepiece distance and so further reduced the field of view they are not necessary. However, all these quibbles are minor compared with the basic quality of the image. It was a delight to watch Rotifers swimming between strands of Spirogyra in 3 dimensions. I would rate it 5 for value-for-money and 3 compared with top grade microscopes hence my overall 4 rating.

I work for the Building & Grounds crew at the local community college and my job is cleaning all the chalk boards and dry erase boards. I had been using the water and sponge method too before I found these cloths and I will never go back to the water and sponge. Not only is the cloth faster, but it still gets the job done and is better for the boards. I have been using the Chalkboard Cloth for YEARS and will never use a sponge and water again to clean my chalkboards. This cloth both conditions and gets rid of chalk dust. The cloth will last for over a year as long as you take care of it!

As a teacher, my worst fear is to have a chalkboard that you cannot write on. When you use water to clean a board, it absorbs the water and distorts it after awhile. After you erase the chalk, it leaves dust everywhere. Swiping it with this takes that all away and makes it nice and dark again. It won't restore an old board, but it cleans and keeps the board like new.

My preschooler enjoyed this mic/karaoke machine. He was so excited to take it to school for show and tell. The microphone is a bit sensitive and if moved the wrong way, the feedback is loud and obnoxious. The various songs from different genres aren't very catchy. It has both English and Spanish versions. My son likes using the "monster voice". There are various voice altering options. Shapes and the alphabet are taught as well.

This toy is clunky and in some ways oppressive, with silly vocals and instructions endlessly looping, poor design for the recording function, tenuous claims for high educational values. Save your money and teach the alphabet and numbers some other way and then, if the kid is interested in singing, buy some sort of microphone/recording gadget that actually lets kids sing rather than singalong with tedious learning exercises and very very bad musical selections. What a waste!

To be honest, the songs are nothing special and really not that great at all. The sound effects are cool, but my son wasn't that interested in them. He's a little young to be able to figure out the record and play button, but a 3-4 year old would be able to do that, I think. Overall, he loves playing with it! It's easy for him to carry around as well. It is a pretty fun toy.

I got this so my 4-year-old would help sweep the floor. The broom has very stiff, plastic bristles. A good broom should have softer, more flexible bristles otherwise it doesn't grab the junk on the floor well. So my daughter's "helping" wasn't very productive. Also, the lady bug is made of plastic and hollow inside (if it go stepped on it would shatter). So a bit flimsy. There are cheaper small brooms at Toys R Us. This one was a bit pricey for what it gives you; with Melissa & Doug I thought I would be paying for a higher quality product, but not so much. But it's still a great size and cute.

Nothing is sacred to the spectre of political correctness, so the negative reviews of "Curious George" shouldn't surprise me. The reviews likening George's story to the African slave trade are particularly puzzling: children do not think in those terms. I suggest that the folks who complain that it glorifies illegal animal trade read it more closely. George makes a lot of innocent mistakes, he doesn't mean to be bad, but the world is too fascinating for him to resist. He needs to have an authority figure looking out for him, and although he does try to get around the authority figure everyone knows the man with the yellow hat will save George from himself in the end. Yes, George is a monkey, but he is also a metophor for children everywhere. Every child in the world can relate to George, and that is why the books have remained popular for so long.

I loved Curious George as a child, and I am happy that my children love them as much as I do. If any book in the 4-8 age bracket deserves 5 stars it is Curious George.

This famous children's book was the first of seven books by Rey about a monkey who is brought to the U. S. from Africa and who seems to have a penchant for getting into trouble. But, his curiosity keeps leading into new adventures and learning new things. The Ann Arbor reviewer of Oct. 7, 1998, clearly is angry at George. If that is the case, why not use the story to teach about rule breaking? I think it is very interesting to learn that the Reys had arrived in New York in 1940, having fled from the Germans invading France. In a way, they were just like George, forced to come to a new world and a new culture. I'll bet they got into trouble every now and then just because of their innocence and their curiosity.

We have really enjoyed this classic story now in a audio CD which is perfect for the car or going to bed at night! Love that the book is also included. Reason for 4 stars vs. 5 stars Its a paperback book and "case" is cheap plastic which doesn't close back up well and CD slides around! Both can get destroyed by little ones and travel! Wish the manufacturer would incl. a real CD case to go along with it! Small issues nonetheless we love it and I highly recommend it! Amazon always has the best prices I can find too!

Be prepared to really whack this thing. My boyfriend and I took a crowbar and used it as a chisel with a hammer to gouge a line all the way around the rock. When we hit it on top in one spot after that, it cracked perfectly in half!

Ours was filled with beautiful smoky quartz crystals! I will definitely be buying more of these in the future, they are way cool to crack open and put on display. The size and quality were totally impressive in my opinion!
