Best LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Lowercase Letters Expansion Pack Deals

Customer Ratings:

Buyer beware; these letter are the larger heavier magnet letters for the original blue Word Whammer with the red handle on top, and the original Fridge Phonics that is a blue and green square. The newer, smaller white jet ("Leapfrog Fridge Words Magnetic Word Builder") that also spells 3 letter words, and the new "LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet Set" that looks like a yellow star and a blue cloud use smaller, lighter weight letters.

The Leap Frog Fridge Phonics are awesome learning tools and lots of fun. My son just turned three, and knows his alphabet, upper and lower case, by name and all the different sounds each letter makes, and spells 3 letter words and knows how to spell many longer words as well. I can't recommend them enough. He also has the ClickStart computer, the Word Launch 4 letter word builder (with non-magnetic letters), the Turbo-Twist Addition, subtraction, and Phonics, the Little Touch Leap Pad, My First Leap Pad, Leap Pad, and Quantum Pad, Tag, and the 5 Leap Frog DVDs, Math Circus, Letter Factory, Talking Words Factory, Code Word Caper, and storybook Factory. All their stuff is great!

Although advertised as compatible with ALL fridge phonics sets, I was dissapointed to open the expansion pack on my son's birthday and discover that the letters did not fit his fridge phonics word builder or magnetic alphabet set. A call to Leap Frog to try and resolve the problem was unsuccessful. The company does not seem to understand the meaning of the word ALL. They claim that the phonics products I have are new and the expansion pack is old therefore negating the compatibility. The packaging does not list any product age disclaimers. Luckily, Amazon accepted the return easily.

For anyone who has the basic Word Whammer from LeapFrog, the lowercase expansion pack is a must-have. My 4-year-old grandson loved the Word Whammer, but he was even more excited to receive the lower case letters. He learned them very quickly, and they fit into the Word Whammer interchangably with the upper case letters. We've been having a great time learning sounds and spelling words.

Honest reviews on LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Lowercase Letters Expansion Pack

My son knew his capital letters but had a hard time with the lower case letters. He would get the b & d mixed up. We have both the word whammer & fridge phonics. after a week of playing, My 5 year old & 3 year old know know all the letters big & little.

We live overseas--English letters and words are pronounced differently, so this is VERY helpful for our daughter to say things the "American" way. She loves the music and has started recognizing the letters. We bought the first pack (capital letters) and bought this one, so that she can start spelling. Her teacher says that she is very good at identifying letters at her daycare. Her older brother helps her with this and it keeps her busy when we are working together in the kitchen. We will definately get the Word Whammer so she can start to spell.

Buy Learning Resources Answer Buzzers - Set of 4

Customer Ratings:

Not as big as the pictures make them appear. I purchased these to use in classroom debates/competitions...I'm wishing there was a fifth and/or sixth button, because my classes are slightly too big for only 4 groups. But the sounds are very cute, pretty loud, and all very different -so it will be easy to tell which group "buzzed in" first. :-)

I think my middle school students will enjoy using these. I think they're worth more like $15.00 than $24.00 with shipping...you can probably find them in teachers' stores -look around :)

I was excited to get these, because I had been using the metal "front desk" bells which sound the same. As a teacher who has to buy her own supplies, I was thrilled with the inexpensive price. I should have remembered the old adage, "You get what you pay for." I used them for the first time yesterday. After my second class, the blue buzzer broke. I tried to fix it, but could not. AND ... unlike the first reviewer, I thought the sounds were too similar, particularly in a class of 30, it was hard to hear the buzzers or tell which one was hit first. I think I will go back to my metal bells.

The measurement given in the Amazon description is for the box they come in. The buzzers are 3.5" in diameter each.

I am very happy with this product. I am using it for my dog though. With potty training he was afraid of the recommended bell but he loves these buzzers. He learned what to do in 5 minutes. I placed one of them by the door and I think because of the bright color he was attracted right away. After he hit it the first time with his paw, and I clapped and told him how clever he was, he figured out he got to go outside when he hit it. Of course a lot of the time it is not to potty but now if I don't respond right away, he hits it again and then turns to look at me or comes and gets me if I am not right there. So for my purposes it is great and maybe you should market it as a potty dog trainer.

Both my 4 yr old and 2 yr old sons are big Scooby Doo fans. They show the old shows on Boomerang Network here in Singapore. They already had the tag pen so this purchase was a no brainer. Kids love the story and the games, they've unlocked 4 of the 6 rewards too( rewards are kind of weak in my book but kids love getting them). Only negative is matching the parts of the castle with the words, very hard for the kids. They've looked at this book well over 50X so I consider it a good buy

My kids love Scooby Doo and their Tag Reading Systems, so this purchase was a no-brainer. Although it lacks a lot of the educational elements of some of the other Tag books (e.g. Spongebob), the most important way to foster a love of reading is to choose books that have an element of excitement and entertainment. In this way, Scooby Doo and the Shiny Spooky Knights fits the bill perfectly. In conclusion, if you are trying to select the most educational tag books and are open to a variety of characters and subjects, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are dealing with a Scooby Doo fanatic, you won't regret this purchase.

My boyfriend and I got the Tag reading pen along with this book and one other for x-mas and our son loves it! I continue to be amazed at how every single thing on the page that you touch with the reading pen makes noise. Whether it's music or the story being told or each of the characters having something different to say. Of course both of the Tag reading books that my son recieved have these wonderful features, but my son likes this Scooby Doo book especially because he loves spooky, Halloween type things. This book plays spooky music as well as funny sounds that he really enjoys. Our son is 4yrs and two months old and while he really enjoys having the story read to him as well as bing in control of the reading of each page, I don't however belive that he is gaining a whole lot of knowledge about learning how to read each word or sentences at all by playing with this book. Perhaps when he is a bit older, but right now it is just fun for him to have the book read to him as well as being in control of all the different fun sounds that each page makes. So if your child enjoys spooky sounds and reading this is the book for him/her!

Ship Ahoy Sorter Reviews

Customer Ratings:

This toy is fun and educational, but there are two things that I've found to be in bad design. 1. The door to the ark falls off with a little help of my 1 year old and 2. My kids' fingers get pinched when they are trying to retrieve the pieces that get stuck inside.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

My son, who will be 2 in March, just loves this toy! For a shape sorter, the added feature of the animal sounds is what keeps him coming back to it. Some problems with it are: the door on the hatch where you retrieve the shapes comes off, it is probably taken off as a way to get the pieces out because they are hard to get out of the ship, especially the round, yellow, lion piece. Also, my son has had his hand stuck in the round hole where the shape is supposed to go.

My son received this gift for Xmas and continues to hunt for it in his toy box he loves it, but does have difficulty putting the blocks in. Not only does he enjoy this toy, mom does too because I can hear a variety of things and not just a song. My son, loves trying to repeat what's said! This toy is a "keeper"

Honest reviews on Ship Ahoy Sorter

I bought this after Christmas last year and put it up. I got it out for a 7 hour plane trip that we were going on with my 18 month old son. He loved it, it was the only thing that we brought that would keep his attention over 5 min. He's actually playing with it as I'm writing this. The door does fall off very easily, there is a volume switch on it and the blocks are kind of hard to put in but my little guy started putting them in upside down and doesn't have a problem getting them in that way.

This is a fabulous toy! My daughter got it for Christmas at 6 months old, 6 months later at a year old, she still plays with it. I put it in her crib at nap time and it keeps her amused till she falls asleep. Her face always lights up with a smile when she sees it. We payed full price for it. The price it's listed at now is fantastic and makes it a must have!

Review of LEGO Education DUPLO Farm Set 779217 (150 Pieces)

Customer Ratings:

My husband and I purchased this set for our just-turned-five year old daughter for Christmas 2011... It is late March 2012 as I write this review and I can truthfully comment that not a day has gone by that she hasn't played with the animals, rearranged/rebuilt the farm, the house, the fences...and LEARNED about the different animals ~ what animals eat what food and why...which ones sleep standing up...which ones lay eggs and which have live babies...what baby animals are called in relation to their mommas and daddies... I mention all of this because I gave five stars for the educational value of this toy... This is not her first Lego set, but one we knew she'd love because of the new and different animals ~ her other sets have zoo animals and she has learned so much with those, too... My daughter is still so very much excited about this Lego set, so my husband and I are very excited, as well! We've introduced the smaller Legos to her ~ seasonally ~ and she loves those, too...but she's five...she wants to play...not worry that animal pieces will go flying if she drops something... It's a wonderful, durable, imagination-boosting toy that I know will keep her interest for some time yet... Go, Lego!!

This is awesome, there are enough prices to build all sorts of things. Farms, out buildings, or whatever your imagination comes up with. Only problem is it didn't come with directions to build the farm like it is on the box. This is a source of frustration for me, but my kids don't care! They love it!

Best Deals for LEGO Education DUPLO Farm Set 779217 (150 Pieces)

If you purchase this set, i would reccomend you take the time to put it together prior to your child seeing the set. There are no instructions included. Just a small picture on the front of the box (which you cannot see everything). I had to sit down, and with trial and error, figure out. With instructions, I could have sat down with my 3 yr old and helped her along the way to putting pieces together.

Pieces are bagged in multiple packages. You would think that they would be bagged based on the pieces going togther (like older childrens legos). However, not the case. Random order in bags. Makes for more confusion.

Once together, toy is sturdy and my daughter has enjoyed playing with it. Animals and people are hard to put in place though.

Honest reviews on LEGO Education DUPLO Farm Set 779217 (150 Pieces)

I purchased this set for my son's 3rd birthday and it was a hit! He really enjoys putting it together and taking it apart. He does need a little help building the barn. It is a good value for a long lasting toy.

Trophy 4 Bell Wristlet Reviews

Customer Ratings:

They arrived quickly, and look exactly like the picture. They appear durable, and make a nice jingly noise. My only complaint is that they are not adjustable. This may not sound like a big deal, but it results in them not being able to fit over adult hands or feet, while being too large to stay on children without slipping off.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The bells are well made and make lots of noise... BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE ADJUSTABLE VELCRO CLOSURE AS THE DESCRIPTION SAYS!!!! which makes them unwearable for adults and they easilly fall off kids hands! They can't be attached to a belt loop or handheld or ankle! very disappointing.

These add a fun dimension to dancing or caroling in winter. Put these on the wrist of your carolers to add dimension to favorite carols or winter songs. Put them on dancers to make the sound of horses and sleighs or reindeer. They sound better when bunches are worn.

I bought this handbell case for our 8 handbells. The case is good and should protect the bells sufficiently. I wish the case had all the bells separated, instead of two to a section, but for protecting children's bells, this is fine. I would buy this case again if I had more bells.

Since the bells just come in a little plastic box, this was a must and works very well. The case and dividers are well padded for optimal protection.

Honest reviews on Kids Play Case for 20-Note Handbells Holds 8, RB108 (Holds 8, RB108)

This bag is well constructed, the zippers work well, and it is just large enough to accommodate the bells. They fit snugly, so they don't clank against each other, but there is enough room to zip the bag easily. If you are going to buy the bells, buy the bag. It gives the bells more importance as musical instruments instead of just noisy toys.

Buy Galt Activity Dino, Colors May Vary

Customer Ratings:

My daughter Nicole got this from her godmother, she was about six months, so anyway... she liked it because of the color and stuff and we mostly used it for support -since she kept falling backwardsthen when she was a couple of months older she would used it as a pillow (a rather tall one) to rest her head on while watching t.v, and when it was time to take a nap she loved to curl into a fetal position and place her back against it (she still does this, while sucking her thumb)she liked it so much we tried to put it in her crib, but found it too big. Now we've had it for some time and kept it in a corner of the living room, so she could get it when she wanted to watched t.v. One of these days I heard her giggle through the baby monitor and went to check on her, I found her rolling around the floor with it hugged tightly against her, then she placed herself on top of it and sit back and rode it as a horsie... a few days after I found her asleep on top of it, with her thumb in her mouth and her legs streched back and crossed together. She likes this thing so much she won't use anything else to watch t.v or take a nap with, almost everytime we get home the first thing she does is run to it, pull it to the middle of the room and just have fun. It's really amazing -to me anywayhow she hasn't ger tired of it.

The only thing is that sometimes when it's time to go to bed at night she wants to sleep either on top or with it, and she's always saying "no, mama, no!" when I trie to take her upstairs for bedtime OR she says "no, daddy, no" in the most sweetest of voices, with her big blue eyes puppy-stile and a pout and my husband gives right up and lets her have it her way.

But I don't think that's such a bad thing cause she's a heavy sleeper and she doesn't wake up when we take her to her room. Nothing more to say except... I ADORE THIS FREAKING TOY, and more important, SHE ADORES IT EVEN MORE.

I think this is a great product. It supports my son when he is sitting up and he loves to play with it. I have noticed older children like to curl up with it while watching television. I think this would make a nice gift because it is unique. Unlike most baby toys and products, we will get years of use out of the Activity Dino.

I purchased this for my 3 month old son, who is just starting to reach for things. From the moment he saw it, he loved this dino!

I love the bright colors and different textures on it. I know that this will be something that he will enjoy for many months to come. My only complaint is that the "roar" is a little hard to hear...However, I would recommend this to anyone!

Honest reviews on Galt Activity Dino, Colors May Vary

When I first received this item as a gift I didn't expect much from it. When my son reached 6 months I would place the dino behind him to help him sit up. He would play with his other toys and turn left and right to touch the parts of the dino. Now I always place him on the floor in front of the activity dino which serves a dual purpose fun AND back support!

The activity Dino made my newborn smile and helped him to learn to sit up. Even now that he is older, he will see it laying on the back of the couch and will crawl to it and crinkle some of the fabric or will just smile at the colors or when I squeeze the nose to make a roaring sound. I highly recommend it, especially for the 0-4 month age group.
