Cheap Hohner Kids Musical Toys S363 Maraca
I bought this for our library story time, since my son had broken one of theirs while we were there. The librarian loved that they were all plastic, and durable. The kids, after we put them in the instrument box, fought over them because they made a great sound.

Review of Educational Insights Geosafari Jr. Kidnoculars
My 5 year old got these kidnoculars as a gift. When I saw them I figured that she would like them but it turns out that they appealed to her even more than I thought they would. The day she got them she spent the afternoon walking around the house and looking at things through her new kidnoculars. She also had me take her on a walk around the neighborhood so she could look at the birds, grass, trees etc... through the kidnoculars. She spotted some nests (including a little hummingbird nest) and was thrilled. Sometimes, as an adult, it is hard for me to figure out what toys will appeal to my daughter (and I have wasted a decent amount of money because of this). Clearly whoever made this toy spent some time putting themselves in a child's shoes and figuring out what would appeal to a child. Not only are the kidnoculars cute and sturdy but they are fun and educational. My daughter is having a great time with her kidnoculars and I love to see her learning about her world as she plays and explores.
Pros-
*they actually work (sounds silly but I didn't expect them to be so focused and clear!)
*fit the face perfectly
*cool colors
*unlike anything else I've seen on the market for kids binoculars
Not really any cons that I feel are worth mentioning.
I would highly recommend them for a first pair. The price is great (I think I paid $13-14). We will be using them in future nature walks.
My only problem w/ the toy is that the string is too thin. As a result, when the toddlers hang the toy on their neck, it cuts into their skin since the binoculars are so heavy. It ends up being pretty painful. Also, the strings twist around and one of my twins almost choked himself since he couldn't get it off of himself.
If you do give it to children, I'd actually recommend taking off the neck string. It's too uncomfortably dangerous. I'm surprised that this sort of long cheap strap came w/ the product.

I got these for my 4 year old for his bday this year. He is a nature lover and bird watcher. He sorta tossed them to the side in all the birthday chaos, but lately has really taken to them. His older siblings (6 year olds) both love them too. Not to mention... I love looking through themthey really work well!Pros-

I reviewed these and absolutely LOVE them! My 4 year old is obsessed. There are no moving pieces or zoom lens so little kids won't get frustrated that something is out of focus. No pinched fingers either! They are VERY durable and will take quite a beating. Plus the front and back have soft "flaps" so that if your kid runs into something it won't hurt them like plastic or metal would. AWESOME product -highly recommend.Honest reviews on Educational Insights Geosafari Jr. Kidnoculars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When this product first arrived, I had my doubts. It was just a little too simple, and its magnification was rather simple, and not able to be adjusted. But, I was judging this fine product by adult standards. My daughter loves it. She checks things out in the front yard, around the house, along the road, and more. She asks to take it with her all the time. If I go to games with her, she will love watching with the binoculars there too. Great toy. Highly recommended.Saturday, November 22, 2014
Cheap Early Lingo Alphabet at School DVD (Part 4 German)
These DVDs are consistently good and our grand-daughter enjoys them. This one teaches words we had been working on with her independently of the video. When she heard those words there was some instant recognition and she stopped playing and watched the video. This video has more animation than some and that works very well with small children. I wish there were children's books with Jo Jo and Lulu to go along with the videos.

Review of Piper the Panda - black, white & red, baby travel toy
My son loves this toy! We put it on the cover to his swing and on his car seat. It is small and bright, and really catches his attention (he is five months old). It is affordable and one of his favorite toys!
My 3 month old baby also have a genetical syndrome so is more difficult to her do some things, but she love the bear, she looks so much to him and also touch him!
If you squeeze the bear he makes a squeal.
The only think that disappointed me is that he looks cheap, but... baby dont care about this!

Buy Kid Advance Montessori Cut-Out Numeral and Counters
All Montessori equipment suppliers sell this item, and most are very good quality. For schools and child care programs with Montessori environments, this material is ideal. Parents working with their children at home can make far cheaper materials that accomplish the same thing, and use the money saved to make even more. Use index cards cut to size, write the numerals on them, and use pennies for the counters. Mission accomplished, and this can lead into exchanging coins, so it is an even more versatile material! Doing Montessori at home does not have to be super expensive. VTech LS6195 DECT 6.0 The VTech Retro Phone Review
I had been looking for a non-standard cordless phone, and finally found this one! I just got it so I can't comment TOO much on its usability yet, but its almost cooler in person than it is in the photos! Unlike other similar "retro" phones this one also has a full set of numbers on the handle (something you can't see in the pics). If it is on the cradle, and it rings, when you pick it up it automatically answers it instead of having to hit the "talk" button, which is pretty cool. Also, all of the handset numbers light up, which makes it easier to dial in dim light.
Retro phone makes your space looks futurist and vintage at the same time. It works fine, and the signal is so good.

I don't even know why I originally wanted to get Bang&Olufsen... This phone is so much cooler and operates so well. I was guilty to spend lots of money on land line phone. In the end, we only need house phones to find our cell phones, right? So, I thought, OK, I'll try this one. Cheap and rather unusual shape. It is better out of the box, than on the picture. And the weight of receiver is unreal, like 1 ounce. Speakers on both -base and receiver, nice blue light. Very happy with it!Honest reviews on VTech LS6195 DECT 6.0 The VTech Retro Phone
This phone is so stylish yet old fashioned. I absolutely love it! The ringers aren't exactly old fashioned, but hey those are annoying anyway. I really like that when the phone is hooked up you don't have to push talk. It has a speaker phone on the base, and I love that there are buttons on the actual phone itself. (Which the pictures don't show) The phone is so cute, and much better than the one that I replaced it with. Some of the other reviews say that it was small, but I think the size is just fine!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for VTech LS6195 DECT 6.0 The VTech Retro Phone

We bought this for our 6-year-old grandson who delights in catching (and keeping) bugs. He didn't quite know what it was when he opened the present but after we explained it to him, his expression was priceless. We bought this along with the book "Insects on Display: A Guide to Mounting an Displaying Insects" and are sure to be treated to a museum-like experience the next time we are at his house.

I ordered these to help my son with vocabulary acquisition. The images are crisp and the concepts are evident. What I was most disappointed about was the weight of the cardstock they used. They are light to maybe mid-weight. I laminated mine to add to the durability and that modification will likely save them a few months of life. I'm a mother of one toddler. If you are getting these for educational or therapeutic purposes and intend to use them daily, I might advise caution.

Like other packets, the variation of picture orientation makes it difficult for my child to stack the pictures. Also, I forgot to mention in the rhyming cards that I do not like the plastic container. I prefer the metal. Best Squier by Fender MINI Strat Electric Guitar, Torino Red Deals
We bought this for our 8 year old daughter over a year ago. It is well made, with a rosewood fretboard, and a hardtail bridge. The instrument was the perfect size for her. It has a good strong tone and consistent notes from low to high strings. The saddle is solid and the strings stay in tune well. I did a lot of research into this and after a year of playing it, am still convinced that this is the best instrument for a child, or anyone with smaller hands, to learn on.
Slowly, the mini has become my preferred, go-to electric. Why (given I have far more valuable instruments at my disposal)? For the same reason John Lennon once owned a 3/4-sized guitar, I suppose. Obscure chords are easier on the hands because fingers have to span less distance. The slight tonal inaccuracy of the 3/4 scale is more than offset by increased finger-placement accuracy. Try it and I think you'll like it (big grin)! And...to really do the job right, why not bolt on your choice of primo pickups (e.g. a set of vintage Fender noiseless, or a Hot Rails bridge and Quarter Pounder middle and neck) . I'll say it again: the Squier mini-strat is one of the world's most astonishing and under-reported musical bargains! Click "Add to Cart" now (Laughter of the Immortals).
ORIGINAL POSTING:
My first Mini, purchased over a decade ago, was a bad investment. The four neck bolts continually came loose, no amount of tweaking could get the intonation right, the pick-up pole pieces didn't align with the strings, and the finish was uneven. It cost $99 and I figured I got less than what I paid for. It was clearly a toy and I sold it for $25 without regret.
Three or four years ago I extensively played a "Hello Kitty" Mini owned by a friend. It cost her $149 and, after I tweaked the intonation and the string height a bit, it was a playable instrument. I figured she pretty much got what she paid for. A decent little 3/4-sized traveler.
Recently, after reading that Fender had upped the build quality of their oriental Squier guitars, I again purchased a Mini. I couldn't be more pleased. Right out of the box, everything about the instrument was spot-on. The construction was rock solid, the neck was straight, the strings were correctly positioned, the intonation was exact, and the finish was flawless. It was, in two words, masterfully made. I figure I got at least $249 worth of guitar for $99. How cool is that?
The sound of the current Mini is "classic Fender single-coil"...shimmering with bell-like overtones. The pickups are functional, if a bit thin sounding compared to the Seymour Duncans I have on my full-size Strat. The six-in-line enclosed tuners hold the light gauge strings without slipping. The neck is perfectly finished and fast. Because it's a 3/4-sized guitar, the string spacing might be too tight for adult players with large fingers. But for everyone else, including fortunate children, the current Mini is a sweet ride. And at its present "give away" street value, this has to be one of the most fantastic bargains in the musical kingdom! Bravo Fender!
Please be kind with my playing skills ;-) The video and audio was recorded with an old Canon Ixus 30, it' sole purpose is just to give you all an idea of the sound to expect from this instrument.
My daughter wanted an electric guitar for Christmas. Her main criteria: PINK!! and nothing else...
So to sum up the wish list:
* E-guitar for 6 year old
* PINK!!!
* light weight
* easy to play
* reasonable quality
* and did I mention it has to be PINK!!! ;-)
After some googling and viewing reviews it all came down to just one model available fulfilling the above criteria.
FENDER SQUIER Strat MINI pink.
To important specs that are not available on the Squier/Fender page:
* the width on the 20. fret is about 56 mm
* the weight is 2.16 kg
So not only the scale but also the fretboard in the overall geometry is shrunk compared to a regular size, which is an important difference to some of the competitor models. This makes it particularly suitable as a child guitar.
Pros:
* the settings (frets, string height, intonation) after unboxing are OK and you could start play right away (see cons)
* fretted chords sound OK and are easy to fret (I've read on several placed that fretted chords sound out of tune)
* after all the sounds you can get are OK for me
* you can tweak the factory settings with the supplied allen keys
* the guitar keeps in tune (with new strings);
Cons:
* the strings that it came with are simply unusable, I have replaced it with 10 gauge D'addario and now it's fine
* the tuners are crap; very very hard to turn at all; lubricant couldn't fix it
* the jack hardware fell of after attaching the instrument cable; both screws stripped out of the "wood" ; I've fixed it with two pieces of tooth pick (and a screwdriver of course)
* all the hardware: except for the fretboard is not good quality (especially the tuners)
the US price is 99 US $, in Europe starting at 145 (roughly double price) → this is unacceptable
Wrap up:
The guitar is easy to play, light weight and has a descent look. Despite all the shortfalls and the toy quality the guitar can ROCK after at least replacing the strings. I've bought it together with a Roland Micro Cube white, so with this my daughter can start out to make decent music whatever style she likes (clean, blues, rock and metal).
Nevertheless I'm disappointed by Fender/Squier producing a toy quality guitar. I would have gladly spent some more bucks for a higher quality.
But at the end of the day I was down to one guitar to choose from so I wish there would be more competition in this segment.

I have had my red Mini for about 6 years now. And I still am in awe over how fantastic it is for a small-scale Fender. In fact, I get a richer tone out of it than I do with my standard size Ibanez, which is just collecting dust. I don't think the Squier Mini is just for kids or students at all. I am 38 and have been playing guitar for 22 years. It is ideal for anyone with small hands, or someone who just finds the neck and action of large guitars too hard or uncomfortable to manage. I would suggest you compare this to a standard guitar in person. But for the price, this guitar can't be beat.Best Deals for Squier by Fender MINI Strat Electric Guitar, Torino Red
Wonderful starter guitar. I recently sat down with one, played for most of twelve hours, and felt no pain at all. The action is extremely low, but there's no fret buzzing. Cheap Learning Resources Hand Pointers, Set of 3
My daughter is in kindergarten and her teacher uses these pointers. These were my daughters #1 request for her birthday. There is nothing special about their construction, but they seem to be able to hold up to child's play. Although they have no educational value themselves, they encourage kids to pretend they are teaching. My daughter loves these pointers, and I enjoy sitting through her lessons on letters and numbers.
This works perfectly!! Students love using it and feel in control when they have the pointer. It's a great motivator when you hand it to a student and give him/her the chance to 'strut their stuff' in front of the class. I keep it atop the white board so it will always be available. It's an inexpensive, but unique way of keeping students engaged

I purchased one of these at my school's book fair several years ago. I was looking for a tool that would help students to use the Smartboard interactive white board. Sometimes students cannot reach the upper part of the board, making it impossible to activate the pull down windows. Also, I wanted to be able to use the board without standing in front of it or creating an obstruction (me)for students sitting to the right or left.This works perfectly!! It is a very fun way to help emergent readers follow along what you are reading to them. These are high quality and a great tool for the classroom. We use them on a daily basis and my students absolutely love them. They are just the right length for students to easily maneuver and use to track print on the walls around the class. They are not the cheap imitation pointers that you sometimes see, they will easily last for many school years to come. I will definitely be buying more of these, and will be recommending to teacher friends.
