This is my first gel Leappad gel skin. For my daughter's Leappad 2 we used the eForcity leather case. I agree with initial reviewer that it does not fit snug. Feels as if it shifts while in your hand. The shape, while not blocking any knobs, was a little off center which is unacceptable since Leapfrog is making it, not a generic manufacturer. I thought it would be a little thicker and more solid like the S cases for the Samsung phones. (No, I wasn't expecting an Otterbox)

My daughter does not usually drop toys, but I'm having a mini heart attack every time she moves with Leappad Ultra protected by just this skin. I'm looking for a case similar to the eForcity or there is an option for a gel skin with thicker edges to give some shock proof... for my nerves sake.

Meanwhile, the ultimate user has commented more than once in the two days that she has been using it that she liikes how it feels in her hand. Doesn't get sweaty. Hasn't slid off.

So from 3 stars the latter consideration moves it up to 4. BUT IT WILL BE REPLACED SHORTLY.

Unlike the gel skin for the LeapPad 2, this gel skin does not fit securely on the LeapPad Ultra. It can easily be removed, and if you're not careful can slip off if you're handing it around the sides. This is a big disappointment. The gel skin for the LeapPad 2 fit super secure, even I had to work to remove it. Still, I guess if the LeapPad Ultra falls the gel skin won't fall off, but little hands can easily remove it. It's not a tight enough fit. Overall this an okay gel skin, great for older kids, but for the little guys and gals, it's easy to remove.

I adore this little percussion table, it definitely has the cute factor and my 14-month old loves to play with it (as well as his 3 year old brother). The only issue we have it that it does tip over easily if any weight is put on the table on either side of the cymbal. I am afraid he will climb on top and topple over, so I can't leave this out when I am not watching closely. I would love to see the manufacturer substitute 2 legs spread out on the back side instead of only 1 in the middle. Otherwise, it is a very nice toy and totally worth the price!

My baby loves this percussion table! It also required very little assembly (yay!) and doesn't take up too much room (double yay!) The only problem with it is that it is a bit unstable and she pulls it over on herself very easily. Therefore, I don't plan to let her play with this without me right there.

I first saw this toy in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Christmas catalogue. When I went to buy it from them they were no longer selling it. I should have realized that this was a bad sign. But I thought is was so cute, and my daughter, who was going to be 16 months by Christmas, is fascinated by music. I should have paid more attention to the reviews. The table is indeed cute. What is not cute is that the xylophone is completely out of tune, and it is difficult to get it to make noise. You have to hit the keys just right. How is a small child supposed to hit the keys just right? The drum and cymbal are better, but the drum is very small, and she gets bored with it very quickly. The table is also a funny height, if she is standing she has to stoop to reach it. And if she sits on something her knees tend to hit it. She is not large for her age, exactly 50th percentile in height. One reason I liked the idea of the table was that it would be too big for her to throw out of her play corral, however it is so light that she can still throw it out, and knock it over, and drop it on her foot, or my foot. She spends more time knocking it over and dropping it than she does playing it. It's really not worth the money.

I bought this stylish combo of drum, cymbal and xylophone on impulse at a local shop. I nearly returned it the next day due to complaints on this site about it tipping over and the potential for kids to destroy the drum skin. But desperate to entertain my bored 10-month-old lad, I tore it open--and with no regrets.

It is definitely tipsy, apparently because of a design compromise to make it lightweight and easier to ship. But after a few hours of sporadically satisfactory play he figured out that it's just not for standing on: you have to sit down to play with it. The way I see it, the table helped him to actually reason something out. I'm not sure the tippiness is a net negative.

Regarding the drum skin's proneness to damage, we've had the table for 8 months now and the skin's still in very good condition. There are a few small concavities from vigorous pounding, but it sounds brand new. I did work with him several times to hold the drumstick properly, which probably helped.

My biggest complaint is that the xylophone sounds flat. You can still play a fun chiming tune on it, but it definitely doesn't ring out, especially in comparison with the high-volume cymbal and drum. I'd buy it again, partly because I just think it's fun.

We got this toy for my 9 month old daughter for Christmas and I wish I would have saved the packaging so I could return it. The stacks of rainbows are not steady at all and fall off with the slightest touch. The way my daughter "plays" with this toy is this: I set the rainbow stack up for her, she touches it (barely), the pieces all fall off, she picks one up for a second or two, drops it, and moves on. I'm left with a big ol' snail and four random arches scattered on the floor. Definitely not worth the bulk that this toy takes up. We also got my daughter a set of TOMY stacking cups and they are a much better toy for this purpose. They stack nicely and nest nicely, and they are compact when stored. They're cheaper too! Wonderful! My son (6mo) really enjoys feeling the textured patterns on the 'shell.'

He also likes to grab and shake the body of the snail and listen to it rattle.

I got these to use with preschoolers and newborns. I am a speech pathologist working in home health care. This is the best size for the kids I work with, but I wouldn't mind if there was an even smaller one available. We have several of these pieces. They are high quality, typical for the Brio name. They have stood up to many many years of playing by my three children and their friends.

The one negative point is that you can not control which way a battery operated train will chose to go on this track piece. There are others that you can control with a small switch which way the train goes. We enjoy those and use those more often than these. However, these are less expensive and still add to the fun of building a train.

I bought Destination: Oceans, Castles and Rainforest for my gifted 5 y.o. He loves these programs and especially the oceans. It really has promoted his interest in story telling and improved his spelling and typing skills. He really loves being able to have the pictures move, add sound and narrate his own story hearing his voice when viewing his completed book. My 10 month old grandson was actually difficult to buy toys for this past Christmas. He's too old for teethers and fabric blocks that don't do anything, but too young for hammering or stacking blocks. This set was perfect for him. He can hold them on his own and flip the little doors or push the top buttons. He will play with these for 20-30 mins at a time which is a lot for a 10 month old! I've even seen him try to stack them up himself. I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it for those "inbetween" (not infant, not toddler) babies!

I was surprised to see all the different kinds of activities on these little blocks. They are smaller than I expected, but each side has something interesting to touch, move, push. They don't stack very well, but when they are stacked, they interact. If you stack them and push the head on the top block, all three blocks have spinning sides that respond. But my baby just doesn't seem interested in them when he's alone with them. He likes when we play together with them, but it never goes to it on his own.

For those little hands, these are terrific for handling. The great assortment of colors, patterns, "moving parts" on the sides really stimulate a child's interest. My son is teething and wants everything in the mouth of course. The sides of this offer a nice variety of textures too. My son's favorite thing with these is to have them stacked on top of one another to either watch all the motions in sync when the top button is pressed OR just to knock down the stack of blocks. I got these for my son at about 8 months. He's now almost 14 months and still loves to play with these blocks. He's a "banger" so he loves to bang on the silly heads and watch the front spin. He's also learning how to stack them up. They're also small enough to put in his bag when we go out. I didn't even notice that they had stickers on them. But, his daycare center has these too, and ten one-year-olds play with them every day and the stickers have never come off. A great toy for the money.

I got this set of flatnanoz to use with my Karotz. They are easy to use and assigning a app to them is also easy.

The description is a little misleading, when you buy the Karotz desktop friend, it comes with 2 flatnanoz already, a green and a bright yellow one. This package of 4 and key ring says in the description that it has black, burgundy, green, and yellow. This is not true at all, You actually get black, burgundy, watermelon pink, and cyan blue. If you're a person like me, I like having all the colors of something, and I bought this with disregard to the description and went off the packaging.

The Key ring is pretty neat, its easy to use too.

I ordered the bacterial model along with the skin and virus models from this manufacturer. For the price, I expected tiny displays with the quality of a happy meal toy. I was pleasantly surprise to find a very quality item inside and a very decent size feels much bigger than the little box it came in.

The model can be taken apart to check out different areas. All parts are made of a soft, thick, and flexible vinyl that could easily be dropped or thrown against the wall often without it breaking. The tail is bendable and it is a very tactile model. It comes with an information booklet that is brief but informative. It also comes with a card that condenses the booklet's info and can be placed next to the model for reference. And it all comes in an attractive storage case.

This is my favorite in the series it stays together well, is large, and is very handleable.

The only detractions I can find is that the stand itself is cheap thin plastic I wish the stand had been of the same quality as the model. And it might have been more interesting if the inner genetic material had been incased in a 'gelly' bag to mimic the protoplasm that keeps the bacteria's shape.

In all, I highly recommend this. I was happily surprised when I received this and my daughter loves examining it. The booklet was a nice bonus in that it was just informative enough to be interesting but not overly heavy or clunky.

This is a great hands on model, I use it in combination with the virus, animal cell, and plant cell from the same company so students can see the difference between the four. I have one set of the four that I have used for about five years that show no wear even though they have been handled by lots of students. Based on previous reviews, it appears the company has different ways it packages these counters. Some receive them pre-cut, some receive a limited selection of colors, so here's my experience with them. Mine were not pre-cut. They were all connected by a little piece of plastic that held them together by color. All 250 had to be separated which was done with a simple twist and they popped off, but it left them with sharp edges on at least two sides that had to be tediously cut off. That took me about 2 hours to do with a small blade, a mat, and a lot of patience. However, once I was done and my son was able to use them, he really enjoyed them. I received a good variety of colors, same as pictured, that work nicely on a light table for patterns, counters, blending colors (red + yellow = orange), addition, subtraction, and just having fun.

So it comes down to this: If you don't want to go through the hassle of the initial cutting stage with these counters then go for another brand. If you thoroughly enjoy cutting, these really are a good value for the price and your kids will probably enjoy them as much as mine.

These counters are very small (3/4 inch diameter), but they are well made, and the colors are nice. The transparency allows for some exploration of color mixing, although this is limited by the small size, and the fact that the plastic is thick enough and the colors saturated enough that the mixed colors become quite dark.

These are wonderful, colorful math counters. I would like to comment that there are less yellow counters than any other color. If that makes a difference to you, you may need to order more of them so you have enough yellow ones.

I got these counters for my son I am homeschooling. I had hesitated because of some other reviews that were less than stellar but went ahead and bought them. I wish I'd now purchased one of the other items amazon offers. First off, these counters are tiny. That in and of itself doesn't bother me--but the quality is very cheap. The plastic is brittle and you could hear the counters groaning as i broke them apart.Considering the fact that they weren't separated and had no container to keep them in, the price of this item is too high to be worthwhile. If you're looking at buying these counters? Spend a little more and get a better quality product. I wish I had.

I received this for my baby shower, my son is now 15 months old and this is still his favorite toy. When he got sick and was stuck in the hospital, this was the only thing that would calm him down at night. He can sit and flip the pages and press the buttons for hours and be entertained. For a child that is contantly on the move, that's saying something. I wish he had more toys like this! It talks, it sings, it lights up... What more can a child ask for?

I bought this for my 15 month old daughter for Christmas last year. She still loves this toy. I bought one for my niece for her first birthday since my daughter loves hers so much. As for durability, our dog tried to chew it, but wasn't able to do much besides a couple of marks.

I would have rated this book 5 star; however, when we received it my grand-daughter wanted to play with it right away. She was unable to do so, because the batteries in it were dead.
