This was a gift for my 3 month old's first Christmas! He loves it!! I would say it is one of his favorite gifts! It is so sturdy. He can chew on it and smoosh it on his face (which because of the crinkly outer pages, he loves to do!). It is an amazing sensory activity and so cute! He loves the birds blue tail! I think the price is steep, but it can be used forever because it would be really difficult to wear this book down!! They could have included a few more pets and left some out, I mean a stick insect? Strange choice! What about a lizard?! Overall though this is a favorite and we would recommend it to everyone!!

My daughter, who is 5, got a TAG reader over a year ago and seemed to lose interest in it quickly. However, now that she is in kindergarten and learning to read, I thought this might be a good time to reintroduce her to the TAG reader. And she LOVES it. This set comes with one tag book (and 3 sticker sheets) to be used with the tag reader and 4 workbooks that use regular pen/pencil which is shown on the cover of the images of each of the books but may not be completely clear.

This set is great for older pre-school to kindergarten age children and the stickers which all produce sounds when you touch them with the tag reader. They can also be placed multiple times although only about 2 times before they start to rip and lose their adhesive.

Overall I think this is a set that will both entertain and teach pre-school to kindergarten age children and you get a good value in the set for the price.

the additional books were actual write-in books ( using a graphite/lead pencil) only one book is used with the Tag pen. But the songs and games keep my 4yr old happy for hours tracing his shapes and following directions. That's what i love it trains him early to follow audio instruction.

We are big fans of Leapfrog products. My 7 year old is an avid reader and the tag pen really helped her get some supplemental assistance. We got our 3 year old one last year and she has loved everything about it. We received this title for her 4th birthday recently. The book itself is stellar as usual. I was more disappointed with the 3 workbooks included. I know she HAS TO WRITE with a pencil eventually but that's not what I thought I was paying for. I have paper and pencils already. The three workbooks are for pencil only and that was disappointing for the little one who wanted all of them to "talk". I think the stickers help but I would rather have had more practice sheets that worked with the tag pen for the price I paid. I have all the intentions of providing her with writing material myself. So for that I gave it only 4 stars. I should have read closer.

My son is 5 and this was a great gift for him. He enjoys the many different activities associated with each DVD. Unlike a previous person complained, I was fully aware you needed the special player to view this DVD. The player is very easy to use and my son requires very little assistance from me. I purchased this toy for my friend's little girl's birthday. As soon as she opened it, she had to have it out of the box to start playing with it. As she started playing with the toy, my son became very interested and wanted to play with her. They are both learning their colors and numbers so this is a great tool to learn while having fun. They would repeat the numbers and colors that the ATM machine would call out and count as they inserted their coins into the machine. With the three different games that this toy has, the kids played forever switching back and forth. My son had so much fun with it I went out and purchased antoher one for my son to have at home. He thinks that he is a grown up now that he can go to his ATM Machine just like his parents!

An excellent product if you need to create a small book. It has 14 pages (28 front/back) plus the cover. The book was very clean and pristine when I received it and it holds up really well. I am SO pleased with this book! I bought it for my seven year old who loves to write. An hour after opening it, she was drawing a design on the cover and writing on the pages. We received this is a gift and we fell in love. It is a beautiful toy and very solid and well made. I actually think the price is quite modest for the quality. My son has been playing with it since he was a year old. First he learned how to take the pegs out, then put them in, then colors, and now we are working with size. He also likes to use them in other way including stacking, places them in designs, and incorporating them into his play with standard blocks.

This will be a gift to every child I care about.

Note that not all Haba toys are manufactured in Germany anymore but this one is.

I am such a fan of Haba toys! I have purchased several Haba items as gifts for other peoples' children but have not used them myself nor observed the children using them, so this has to be a qualified review based on the design and build of the item only.

The age range of this toy is 2+, but I purchased it for my 11-month-old great-nephew because it seems to me he can manipulate the pegs now and grow into full use of the pegboard well before he reaches the age of 2. (My daughter would have been using the pegboard before 18 months, as she was doing puzzles by that age.) If my prediction is true, this toy should have quite a span of use, from gnawing, to eye-hand coordination, to color, pattern, and size recognition.

The set is beautifully made and very sturdy, heavy enough to stay where it's put. (I wouldn't leave a small boy with missile-launching upper body capability, this toy, and a glass coffee table alone together. Just sayin.') The pieces are beautifully finished; I didn't find any rough places on the board or on any of the pegs. The colors are just as vivid and true as depicted and the pegs do not seem to be painted so much as imbued with color. The only concern is that the shortest pegs are a little too small for him to use alone at this everything-in-the-mouth stage, but his parents are aware and they have the options of withholding the short pegs for now, using it only with supervision, or introducing the entire toy when they deem it appropriate.

Just a beautiful multi-tasking toy, designed and built to be used for a long time and then handed down. This is not a toy for one child; it's a toy for a family's generations of children. Kudos to Amazon for making Haba toys, and others like them, available to us.

I know that price is an issue for many folks. But, in reality, some kids have many more toys than they need. So please, let them play with the two most popular and affordable all-time toy choices, your Tupperware and your random empty boxes. Then save up your latte money, stay out of the big box stores, and invest in your child's future with a few quality toys like this. And, if you can afford it, spread the word by giving quality toys or books to others. Choose excellence, and support it with your wallet. Kids are our future people!

Purchased for 2 yr old grand daughter who loves to sing and she seldom puts it down. With four grand daughters, I've purchased many learning toys, dolls, books you name it over the years. This is by far their # One favorite toy (ages range from 2 to 5 years) They all use it and the younger ones are anything but gentle with it, but it's still like new. We're still even using the original batteries!

I bought this microphone for my eight year old daughter four months ago for Christmas, and amazingly enough she's still playing with it almost every day. She feels like a little rockstar everytime she turns it on! Even more amazing is the fact that the thing still works! She does tell me all the time that she wishes it played the whole Victorious song and not just the first 15 seconds. We bought this Victorious microphone for my 2.5 year old daughter for Christmas. It was an item that we were having a hard time finding last minute and I was very excited to see it here on Amazon and available for Prime.

She loves it! It has many different options such as adding a beat and being able to sing along but the is one option that it does lack volume! I like that it is loud enough to be heard while playing and singing along, but it would be much nicer to have the option of reducing the volume. My 4.5 year old daughter has a similar Justin Bieber microphone and it is not nearly as loud, so we find that oe much easier on the ears!

Since this microphone has many different options of ways to mix up the fun, I think it would be enjoyed by a very wide range!

My Daughter loves to dance around with this microphone, which means it has been dropped about a dozen times alredy and it is still in like new condition. Sound quality is what you would expect out of a plastic toy, but it is definately easy for her to use, she loves it, and i love that it didn't break already.

Cheap VELLEMAN MK193 3D LED CUBE 3 x 3 x 3 KIT

I just got done building this kit. Here's a couple of observations:

If at all possible reference the YouTube video when assembling the LED cube part of the kit. If you just use the written kit instructions it might make assembly more difficult/confusing.

Holes in the upper PC board are used as a jig to hold the LEDs while assembling the cube. This helps maintain the geometry of the cube & holds the LEDs firmly in place while tack-soldering them. The LEDs included in my kit were obviously smaller in diameter than the ones the YouTube person had resulting in my LEDs not staying in place while soldering. I found that putting a layer of blue painters tape on the board & then pushing the LEDs into the holes held them more firmly.

The LED cage/cube is surprisingly more rigid than I expected it to be once it was all tack-soldered together.

This kit was fun to assemble & I'm moving on to the 5x5x5 cube for my next project.

I only opened these, I've not yet assembled them as I was practicing with a few of Velleman's less expensive kits like the LED Christmas Tree and roulette wheel. I am finding that the closely spaced pads take a smaller diameter solder to do well and that, unfortunately, on the other Velleman PCBs, they do not like to be desoldered... sometimes the contact pads become separated from the PCB and you just cannot re-solder them. With a bit of experience with their boards, and with my soldering equipment I will now tackle these LED cube kits. Like other reviewers, I wish Velleman would included a couple of paragraphs of theory to explain what the various components are doing and why they selected the values they have for resistors and capacitors, etc.

This book is more appropriate for 3rd grade, in my opinion. If you have an inclusion class or special needs/tier 2 or 3 students, it would be okay for 4th grade. The file folder games are fun and good review on basic skills. It is worth the money.

My son's grandparents got this train for him and it seems that he will enjoy it when he is a bit older than 6 months. For now the noises intrigue him, though I worry about the little red door under the music buttonseems like a baby could trap a finger in it. This toy makes interesting noises but one major flaw is the lack of an 'off' buttonI have to work around it when throwing toys in the toy bin because it will start playing when brushed against.
