I really like the fact that they branched out to include IG's (Italian Greyhounds) to encompass this product as well as the other more popular breeds, of course I am a biased IG owner reviewer ;)

However, the magnet itself is sturdy, has a strong magnetic backing and a semi-shiny sheen to it and looks like it will take a fall or two from the fridge to the floor. However, my only real concern regarding the magnet is the lettering size. The font size is very small so you have to pick it up in your hand to read it, and probably isn't the best font size for those who are far-sighted etc.

Other than that, the "rules" it lists are very humorous and cute and any dog-lover will agree that they follow a puppy's mindset exactly!

As a teacher, I think this game is great for learning and practicing time. You can use it 2 ways: Showing a time on the pretend clock that is included or reading the analog time off of the clock. This feature can make the directions a little hard for children to understand, but once you explain that they choose one of these 2 play methods, it's really very easy for them. The 2 ways to play also make it multi-level which is great too.

I bought Bilingual Zingo for my 6 year old at Christmas, but my 4 year old is also enjoying it, too. I don't think he's learning the words, but he still has fun playing with us by just matching up the pictures. They're now 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 and they both still like the game.

I think this is a new product, but we are already convinced it is the best affordable shape sorter out there. We have young twins and this is the fourth Green Toys toy we've gotten for them. I love that they are made from recycled plastic and made in the USA, not China! But that's not the only reason to get these toys.

We got the Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Blocks a little while ago and it is a similar concept to the Green Toys shape sorter. The problem with the Fisher Price model, at least for us, is that the lid just sits on top of the box. That means that our kids can easily pull the lid off and it even just falls off if the box is tipped. With the Green Toys sorter, the two pieces screw together and stay in place. This means that our 14-month-olds spend more time sorting shapes than just taking the lid off to fling the pieces around. This toy is also small enough that they can hold it and manipulate it better than the big fisher price box.

Off all the toys we have gotten for our kids, the Green Toys are consistently both our favorites and our kids. There may be a slight premium for them rather than the mass-produced toys from China, but they are still affordable and high quality!

I am so thrilled to find this manufacturer -toys are affordable, very durable, my kids love them (actually fight over playing with them -I think that's a sign of a good toy??) -and wow, I don't have to worry about toxic China chemicals getting into my children's bloodstream. I've made 3 purchases from this manufacturer (through amazon) and am happy with all of them. Best of all worlds, highly recommend.

I love Green Toys, and couldn't wait for this shape sorter to come out. My 12-month-old daughter doesn't quite know how to put the shapes in the correct holes, but she has fun trying! There are 8 shapes, and four holes on the top of the sorter as well as 4 holes on the bottom. The top screws off in order to dump the pieces out. This toy is nothing fancy, just a simple shape sorter, but I know it is a great, fun learning toy for my daughter that will last for years!

I bought this for my son when he was 9 months old. He's a bit too young to use the sorting part however he loves banging the pieces together! He also loves to chew/teeth on it. It feels good on his gums. I love the Eco friendly nature of what it's made from as well. I would buy this as a gift and would definitely recommend it!

I love this toy because it's made in the USA and I love Green Toys! My boys have almost every toy they make I'm kind of addicted. We also have the Fisher Price shape sorter and just like the other reviewer said the lid pops off all the time and it's annoying. We also received a Sevi shape sorter (designed in Italy but made in China) and the shapes go through two wooden sides, but the sides just sit on the shape sorter and fall off all the time. I do like that there are a variety of shapes with the Sevi. Only downfall I see with the Green Toys is that there are not enough different shapes such as a star or clover or hexagon, etc. otherwise it's perfect.

I bought this to go with my daughters leappad 2 that she is getting for Christmas. So far the only problem I have experienced is that the gel skin is somewhat difficult to put on and the holes on the side for the stylus are somewhat off. The gel skin is not as pliable as I expected which will probably give more protection however makes it difficult to put on. Other than that, so far so good.

FAO Schwarz Big World Map Reviews

My girls are really enjoying this map! It has been $80 at Toys "R" Us, but when I went in yesterday it was $20 off! (So I had to buy it.) Please don't pay $134 for this! The FAO Schwartz website has it for $79. Go there at least! It is wonderful quality and very good for learning, but not worth such a massive price tag! We will be building a frame around it and mounting it in the living room for homeschool. I will add pictures when that happens.

I've been eyeing this for over a year, and I am so glad that I finally forked up the money. It's a bit expensive, but I believe that it's worth its weight in gold. We have it hanging in the play room, and the kids love it. I love that they simply see it and are exposed to it every day, even if they don't play with it every day.

My little one is 2 years old and thanks to this map he jumps up and down with joy and simultaneously screams that the panda bear lives in China which is in the orange continent of Asia. I'm not kidding. He LOVES playing map. He can probably tell you more about world geography than a lot of adults ... which is precisely why I think everyone needs one of these maps. It teaches you Oceans, countries, continents, rivers, where it's hot/cold, and has wonderfully sewn animals that live all over the map. Kids thirst for knowledge and this map provides lots of learning opportunities.

The number of magnet words included with this kit is a little overwhelming, and I find myself trying to figure out how to arrange them. There is only one example of a saying on the front of the box, and it would have been helpful if there had been additional examples included with the kit as a starting point.

The magnets themselves seem to be good quality, and the writing is clear and consistent. My only issue is the box they come in while it is very pretty, the box's window is not covered with anything (the front of the box is actually a lift-up flap), so the magnets fall right out if you try to store them! I ended up cutting the piece of hard plastic that initially contains the magnets and taped it to the inside of the box, but I shouldn't have had to do that.

I would have given this set a 5 star if there had been examples of sayings provided and if the box (which really is quite pretty) had been suited to store the pieces in.

This adorable laptop style Sesame Street toy is perfect for little hands. The silly sounds are clear and clever, i.e., bouncing ball, bubbles, Elmo's giggle and Cookie Monster munching, ducks quacking, telephone ringing and a doorbell so realistic that I think it's our own front door every time! This toy has been dropped more times than we can count, and it has stood up to the wear and tear wonderfully. It's over a year old and we haven't even had to replace the batteries yet. One side features Elmo's face, and Cookie Monster peeks out from the other side. Has a handy carry handle just the right size for little hands. We even tote this one in the car and it occupies our kids for a long ride.

This has been probably the best toy purchase I have made for my son (he is 16 months old). He can play with this toy anywhere and for a long time. He absolutely loves it. The sound are so real and entertaining. Most of the buttons are easy to push and some require a little more thought on his part (he has figured them all out now) which I totally love. I take this toy in the car and he will play with it and it is the only toy that he does not throw after a few seconds. I am buying a few more of these for some of his little friends for Christmas.

I bought this for my rambunctious child when he was about a year old. It was one of his favorite toys. He would even stand on it and manipulate it with his feet. The sounds are not too loud, they are of good quality, and there are so many different buttons that it kept my son entertained for quite some time. After almost 2 years the product is still in good working order so it is extremely durable ~ and I haven't had to replace the batteries once!

My 3 yr old and 5 yr old like this toy. It gives them another way to conceptualize addition besides counting on their fingers. It is a good, tactile learning aid. They also like playing with the bananas in other ways (lining them up in order, feeding them to the monkey, etc.). They already have some math concepts from the LeapFrog Math Circus DVD (excellent!), so this is a nice addition to that.

I purchased Monkey Math for my four-year-old granddaughter whose mother is a Kindergarten teacher. I think Mom was more impressed! She feels that this is something that she can incorporate into her classroom to help her students comprehend math basics. As well, she felt that it teaches the basics of Algebra. Both my granddaughters (2 and 4) were enjoying playing with this game. I would highly recommend it!

I got this for my 5-year old son. He seems to enjoy it, but it lags behind his other favorites. I think a big problem is that there's no competitive game aspect. It's just a game that makes it easy and fun? to do simple math problems. There is no set game plan, just long instructions on ways to introduce math concepts. I contrast this to "Sum Swamp" a math-based board game that my son just loves: that one teaches math concepts and grammar (x + y = ?) AND has a traditional board game-style competition.
