I purchased this set for my 5 month old baby, having looked at natural rubber bath toys for about a year. I was a little skeptical about several things. First, I wondered if the legs of the octopus were too long, creating a potential choking hazard. Second, I was curious if the set was worth the $22 I paid for it. Third, I had been studying natural rubber bath toys for awhile, and was *very* skeptical about having holes in the rubber toys, as it is difficult to clean inside the toys and mold builds up.

I was delighted to find that all of my concerns were quickly put at ease.

The legs of the octopus do stick out a tiny bit, but not so far as an infant could choke on them.

At just over $4 for each toy, this is an amazing deal, when you you compare with other natural rubber bath toys, especially considering how solid and well-designed these are.

There are holes in the bottom of the sharks, octopus and scuba-man, but I believe they are designed big enough for a finger to fit into and have puppet play in the tub as well. There is ample room for sticking a toothbrush inside and cleaning out sufficiently. There are little openings at the top of the scuba-man as well, but I believe a toothbrush should clean it nicely.

I am extremely pleased with this purchase and am looking forward to buying more toys and games from BeginAgain.

Great toy. The individual toys are awesome. The octopus and the diver are the two favorites right now. The ball itself is great as both a toy and as storage. The all natural rubber is great, though it will certainly make you very, very aware of how much nicer the natural rubber is than toys made of non-natural rubber. Made me want to replace all the other bath toys with natural rubber toys. It's amazing. The feel and the SMELL is so different than typical plastic. Wish it was made in the USA, but hard to argue with the materials, eco-friendly packaging, and the rest. Been loads of fun so far for our 16mo old. New favorite toy for the tub.

I was worried about buying these, because of the other reviews about the smell, but it was very faint and I thought it smelled nice...kinda floraly? Not bad at all. And after playing with them a bit, it's almost completely gone. So don't worry about that part of it.

Our 8 year old loves the quantum pad she inherited from her sister, and the new cartridges and books have given her challenges and great pleasure. I got her the higher grades (4th and 5th grade) and am glad I did. The problems and games are great, not too easy, either. Good stuff.

I think this is a new product, but we are already convinced it is the best affordable shape sorter out there. We have young twins and this is the fourth Green Toys toy we've gotten for them. I love that they are made from recycled plastic and made in the USA, not China! But that's not the only reason to get these toys.

We got the Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Blocks a little while ago and it is a similar concept to the Green Toys shape sorter. The problem with the Fisher Price model, at least for us, is that the lid just sits on top of the box. That means that our kids can easily pull the lid off and it even just falls off if the box is tipped. With the Green Toys sorter, the two pieces screw together and stay in place. This means that our 14-month-olds spend more time sorting shapes than just taking the lid off to fling the pieces around. This toy is also small enough that they can hold it and manipulate it better than the big fisher price box.

Off all the toys we have gotten for our kids, the Green Toys are consistently both our favorites and our kids. There may be a slight premium for them rather than the mass-produced toys from China, but they are still affordable and high quality!

I am so thrilled to find this manufacturer -toys are affordable, very durable, my kids love them (actually fight over playing with them -I think that's a sign of a good toy??) -and wow, I don't have to worry about toxic China chemicals getting into my children's bloodstream. I love Green Toys, and couldn't wait for this shape sorter to come out. My 12-month-old daughter doesn't quite know how to put the shapes in the correct holes, but she has fun trying! There are 8 shapes, and four holes on the top of the sorter as well as 4 holes on the bottom. The top screws off in order to dump the pieces out. This toy is nothing fancy, just a simple shape sorter, but I know it is a great, fun learning toy for my daughter that will last for years!

I love this toy because it's made in the USA and I love Green Toys! My boys have almost every toy they make I'm kind of addicted. We also have the Fisher Price shape sorter and just like the other reviewer said the lid pops off all the time and it's annoying. We also received a Sevi shape sorter (designed in Italy but made in China) and the shapes go through two wooden sides, but the sides just sit on the shape sorter and fall off all the time. I do like that there are a variety of shapes with the Sevi. Only downfall I see with the Green Toys is that there are not enough different shapes such as a star or clover or hexagon, etc. otherwise it's perfect.

I bought this for my 1st graders schoolroom class. They love it. We dont' get snow where we live ever so this was a nice way for kids to get the experience and "feel" of snow without the actual cold and temperatures associated with it. I bought this for my high school reading/analytical thinking class, as a companion to its synonym sibling. When my students saw the synonym version earlier in the school year, they scoffed. "A baby game! You want us to play that?!" Why, yes, I do! Thanks for asking! :) Turned out, the synonyms were tougher than my students expected (I have many Honors/AP students that struggle with test-taking, primarily, I've discovered, because of vocabulary weaknesses). We bought this for our seven year old daughter and really like it. The Abacus is simple and easy to jump right into using. The book is filled with problems that challenge your learner and give them a feeling of accomplishment. The dry erase feature of the book is nice and it does actually erase well so you can do the problems again and again. This sort of problem solving is great for a child's mind and for their self confidence. As a homeschooling family that believes in hands on learning and life experiences we found this to be a great tool to have on hand.

First of all, this is a great product. Being involved with teaching the JapanMath website and program, I could tell you that this type of Abacus is a Japanese abacus which we teach in the JapanMath program called a Soroban. A Soroban of this size and with only 7 rods is great for the beginner. The fact that they give you some problems to go along with it is great. I could recommend this product for prek thru adult as a beginner Abacus (Soroban). One more note: a Chinese abacus has 5 beads on the bottom and two on top and Japanese abacus has 4 beads on the bottom and 1 on top.

I have been looking and looking to find something that I would be able to use with younger children. The abacus tool itself is fine but the book does not go into enough detail on how much the heavenly beads are worth or the earthly beads. So if I didn't know already I would not understand the value.
