MAGNETS - Rattle Snake Eggs - ROUND 3/4" Dia Reviews
These magnets are very fun. Hold them in your hand and they'll clink together making a "singing" or "buzzing" sound depending how you ask. Very unique noise.

Leap 2 Reading: Disney & Pixar's "Monsters, Inc." Review
Monsters, Inc. was a big hit with our family, so I had to pick this book up for my 4 year old daughter (even though it's recommended for 6-8). She loves this, and wants to play with it every day. A few of the games are hard for her, but mostly, it's no problem. She is a good reader, so the reading part is fine.

This Monsters Inc. Leap Pad Books is my 6 year old son's hands down favorite! Although he has other leap pad books, this is the one he returns to time and again. He started by playing the games and then began reading along with the story. Highly recommended product, even fun for adults to play. !Best Deals for Leap 2 Reading: Disney & Pixar's "Monsters, Inc."

It's a bit early to write this review, as we just received the product in the mail today, but I have never seen my baby have this kind of reaction to anything, so thought I'd include a preliminary review, with updates to come should anything change.
My 7.5 month old saw me unwrap this along with another toy from the Amazon box today and she couldn't stop looking at this stacker. As soon as she got her hands on it, she had to explore every piece of it: first the colourful head, then each ring and finally the stem. She absolutely loves it. I don't know how these little baby brains work, and why some toys are more popular than others, but this toy is a winner. The finish is smooth (I love that it's non-toxic) and colors are vibrant. The stacker head is big enough that little ones have to use two hands to lift it, giving them practice with dexterity and object manipulation. The head also rolls quite easily, which seems to be a delight for my little one, who is busy crawling after anything that moves. It will be fun to watch her stack this as her skills develop and see her reactions to the wobble. Fun toy!

Ereadbook World Classic Fairy Tales Collection 8 Books - Talking Review
We just got this set of eight books and are having a lot of fun with them. Very colorful illustrated versions of Little Red Riding Hood (missing in the product detail images on this page), The Frog Prince, The Sad Prince, Snow White, Pinocchio, The Emperor's New Clothes, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty.
You set the eReadbook pen to each book by touching to the logo on the book's cover, then set the volume with the visible volume control printed inside the book. Then you read through the book by touching both the written (simplified chinese and pinyin) text and the images. They work together, with a lot of the dialogue not being in the text, but rather when you touch the characters illustrated on the page. This adds a lot of interest and fun for the child, as each character has a different voice and speaks his lines with great emotion! Many other details on the pages can be touched to add further sound input: most of the animals either speak or make animal sounds, flowers and backgrounds play music, water splashes etc.
There is no English, and much of the body of the storytelling is in touching the illustrations, so it takes a reasonable comprehension of Chinese to make good use of these books. Of course knowing these classic tales in advance helps a lot with understanding the chinese if you are a learner. We are at an elementary level (I have been learning for three years on my own) and can understand most if listened to several times.
It would have been better if when the text was touched with the pen, that it was read sentence by sentence. Instead when you touch the text, it reads the whole page at once, rather quickly. You can touch a "stop" button at the top of each page, but that just stops where it is at when you stop it, and when you restart it begins all over from the start of the page. This can be quite annoying if you just don't catch the last four words: you have to listen to the whole paragraph over and over to catch the last words. You also cannot just click on just one character or pinyin word to hear it (at least that I understand: the instructions are in Chinese). The "beginning English" book included with the eReadbook Starter Set has the feature I wish they had put in these storybooks: it reads only a sentence at a time. So you can click on only the third sentence in a paragraph and hear that repeated. I guess they were made for fluent Chinese speakers learning English and not the other way round.
The illustrations vary from digital picturebook type drawings to quite flowery manga-type illustrations for the princess stories, but they are all very very full of details and brilliant color.
Each spread also has a "game" function. Once again you need to be able to understand spoken basic chinese, but when you touch the game icon at the top of each page, instead of reading the story, it prompts you to find things on the page, ie "there is a little caterpillar, little friend can you find it?" "There are six little birds on the page, can you count them?" and then says "great! good job! wonderful! you're so smart!" when you touch the right objects, or " sorry, try again! that's wrong! once more!" if you touch the wrong ones.
All in all, an excellent elementary/intermediate set for storytelling and listening practice in Chinese, with a lot of interaction, fun discoveries on the pages, colorful illustrations, engaging voices and games. Recommended.

Discount Replogle Globes 12/1 Satellite Wonder Globe, 11cm Diameter
This globe is exactly what I was looking for. It has a very modern feeling, has an appropriate weight for its size, and its ability to rotate in several directions is amazing. Overall, it gives an impression of excellent quality and elegant beauty.
With that aside, I like that this globe can turn in so many different directions, allowing for easy viewing of all sides (even Antarctica!)
However, the design allows the hemispheres to move so that they are not in line with each other, if the globe is turned while holding onto the globe, rather than the stand.

Cheap LEGO Education DUPLO Brick Set 779027 (144 Pieces)
I tried the cheap Mega Blocks before these and they were worthless. These showed up pretty quickly and unlike the mega blocks, they actually stick together when my daughter builds something. When you buy them this way, they show up in bland packaging in little bags, but who cares. I bought the lego table too and it was a great move. All the legos go in the middle of the table and our 2.5 year old actually puts the legos away by herself on occasion.
And I think its a educational or atleast a creativ toy, my toddler makes houses for her animals, when she was younger she would make towers ect. So I think its just your imagitaton that sets limits. Only porblem with duplo if you step on it, it hurts, but the toy dont break *smiles*
Living in Norway this cost me 1/6 of what the same amount would cost me at the store so I am super duper happy, dont know what it cost in the usa but this is cheap for me :D
The Duplos are incredibly sturdy, and they're bright and colorful. My toddler finds them absolutely irresistible. (In fact, I have to keep them out of reach when I can't supervise, or else I'll be finding blocks all over the house.) I think they're great at teaching hand-eye coordination and just letting him be creative. I love toys that let kids use their imagination, and Duplos are awesome at doing just that.

Lego bricks are awesome creative toys, but the sets you get at a toy store are very expensive. This bare-bones package has a lot of bricks for a really good price. We bought the Ultimate LEGO DUPLO Building Set set for our almost-2-year-old for Christmas, and he loves it. I think Mom and Dad love it even more! But it just seemed like there weren't quite enough blocks for our creations. We bought this set of Duplos to complement the Ultimate set, along with the LEGO 15 x 15-inch Building Plate, and now we have more than enough blocks for anything we'd like to make. The Duplos are incredibly sturdy, and they're bright and colorful. Overall we love this piano. It's perfect for my home and for my child, a typical two-year-old girl who loves music. We bought ours for around $80 with free shipping (from an Amazon seller). It's positively adorable and my daughter loves sitting on the bench which is just her size, and she loves experimenting with sound.
As others have noted, this is a xylophone-piano. Rather than strings, it has rods. Presumably that is to improve durability and keep us from having to tune it. This does have a big effect on the sound, though. If sound is very important to you, you will probably need to go for an electronic keyboard, though that wouldn't have nearly the aesthetic quality in the playroom.
The look and quality of the materials are better than average for most toys (I can't compare to other children's pianos). We usually buy Melissa and Doug, Haba, Target brands, and others. I would say this compares well.
The size of the piano would fit most children aged 18 months to four years as an upper limit for comfort. I realize it says "3+" because of the testing laws for children under three, but I think that for most typical children under an adult's supervision, this is not going to present a big danger at any age.
I would not buy this piano for a child over four. Unless the child was on the small side, they would already be too big for it, or outgrow it within a year.
Shipping was easy and fairly quick and setting up took no time at all.
First, the odor of paint / thinner was disconcerting. While unpacking and assembling I found the odor of fresh paint / varnish overwhelming and felt very uneasy about having this item in my infant son's playroom (much less seating him at it). It was only then that I noticed the "Made in China" tagline.
Please understand, I grew up in a wood shop staining and varnishing wood projects. I am NOT, by any means, overly sensitive to these vapors. (In fact, I tend to enjoy them ... but not for infants.)
These vapors were VERY STRONG and filled our entire dining room -almost as if I were applying a fresh coat right there. Actually sitting AT the piano, the vapors were so strong that they began to cause me to feel those very familiar symptoms of warm nose and lips.
Even after wiping down the entire piano with a Clorox wipe, the vapors were still notable but less alarming.
SECOND, don't be confused by the elaborate shell and lovely paint: This is very much a toy piano. The keyboard is no better than you would find in a $20 toy piano. Keys shift wildly from side to side and it's hard to play a note without actuating an adjacent hammer. I wasn't expecting the same action as an actual piano, but I was disappointed to find the same key action as a cheap toy piano. I guess I was expecting something in between.
It seems to me that they could easily improve the keyboard action with a few simple, low cost changes -gluing a strip of flanel or felt between each key, for example.

My little "Schroeder" is 18 months and he LOVES this toy piano. The piano itself is very cute and classic looking. It really is a miniature baby grand. The keys are easy for kids to play on and they are quite soft-sounding which is a good thing since most toddlers don't quite know the difference between playing and pounding! My kid learned to sit on the bench rather quickly and enjoys sitting and playing the keys several times a day. For a kid that tires of toys rather quickly, I'd call this toy piano a success.Shipping was easy and fairly quick and setting up took no time at all.

Purchased this one for my 3 year old Granddaughter...She said she wanted a piano, and when we showed it to her on the computer, we asked her if she wanted the pink one or the black one. She whispered "The black one". I found that interesting..I believe she has seen a "real" piano and it must have impressed her a lot. She wanted a "real" piano. Although 2 of the keys on the higher notes tend to stick together, hopefully over time, they may settle in.. This is well made for a toy and she immediately sat down and sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and "played" her piano. She loves it..and hopefully it may encourage her artistic nature..you never know what impresses children. And the price was fantastic! Thanks. I do have a video of her playing, but didn't want to put it out there without her mother's permission. It's adorable, though. Trust me.Honest reviews on 30 Key Classic Baby Grand
My husband and I were looking at a number of different kid size pianos for our "Santa" gift for our 2.5 yr old. She loves here little digital Casio keyboard and her Grandma's big piano. Since we want to capitalize on her love of music and get her going, we wanted to get a piano. This is beautifully made and super solid. Unfortunately, we did not understand that it was not going to sound anything like a piano. It sounds clangy and chimy since it is a plastic hammer hitting a thin metal rod. We made the mistake of waiting until Xmas Eve to put it together and try it. Had we more intelligently done it sooner, we would have returned it and spent half the money on the digital one with karaoke mike. Our daughter bangs on it periodically but is not as excited about it as the digital we hoped to say goodbye to and other pianos she's been around.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 30 Key Classic Baby Grand

Discount Kidoozie Super Shapes Dump Truck
Although my kids have gotten their hand stuck once or twice in the truck, it really wasn't a big deal. I just helped them open their hand and pull it out. Honestly, I never thought about it twice because this is really a great toy. My son got it for his 1st birthday and still plays with it at four years because it's so many toys in one: a truck with a driver, a shape sorter, a "dump truck" of sorts (back opens up), a handyman toy (buttons are in tool shape and make corresponding sounds). The little shapes expand to animals, which is my son's favorite feature. The only downside is that after 3 years of extensive use, they are starting to get stuck, but the rest of the truck still works great, while I've probably thrown away every other toy he's had since age one.
I recommend this toy and would give it to a friend's kid myself.

I bought this toy due to the good ratings from other customers. Warning: sometimes good ratings do not mean the toy is any good. Turns out, this toy has NO OFF switch. There is only one function and that is to be ON all the time. I like how it makes noises every time you stick a shape in its hole or press a button, but it's completely annoying that I cannot turn off the thing and have my baby play quietly. Sometimes quiet play is needed but this toy does NOT allow that.Best Deals for Kidoozie Super Shapes Dump Truck
My son (10 month old) thinks this is great. So do we. It is an odd combo 1. a dump truck, 2. the little shapes are animals (a bird, turtle, elephant and a fish) that you push a little button on each and it opens into the animal and you push the pieces back in so that they fit into the dump truck and 3. it actually plays a couple lovely songs! It also makes the sounds of a saw, jackhammer, etc when you push that button. There is no off switch, but this is not annoying as the songs are short and the others sounds only play when the button is pushed. This is not an obnoxious loud either. I do recommend this toy! It is something my son will grow into. ie: right now he can not push the animals pieces back in, but he can make them pop out. He puts all the shapes into the hexagon instead of the correct shape.Honest reviews on Kidoozie Super Shapes Dump Truck
I bought this for my nephew's first birthday, and I think I was having more fun pushing the buttons than he will actually playing with it. It comes with a whole variety of shapes to sort, but as he gets older he can actually use it as a dump truck because the bed lifts and dumps! It's a great product, and I would recommend it to anyone!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Kidoozie Super Shapes Dump Truck

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program With a variety of sounds and 'activities', this toy seems most appropriate for 6m-18m age, instead of upto 36m as stated by the manufacturer. The toy is incredibly easy to set up and has intuitive settings for volume control and learning modes. The fairly short stature of the toy may make this unsuitable for most kids over 1 year old. My 18 month old now uses this as "strength training" equipment trying to lift it and walk around.
One may need to compare it to Baby Einstein Discovering Music Activity Table to see which size may be more suitable for your child. Regardless with a variety of interactions with the various animal characters a particularly verbal hippo and some catchy tunes, this is likely to be a good value for 6m-18m and an OK value for 18m-24m. I don't see the toy being able to sustain interest through 36m age group as the manufacturer recommends.
Pros:
-Cute zoo animals.
-Fun learning activities for colors, ABCs, Shapes, and numbers.
-Super easy assembly. Just attach the removable legs.
-Musical songs to help in learning shapes and colors.
Cons:
-Table is very short for children over one year old. Stands only 12" tall with legs attached.
-Must use on carpet since there is no rubber footing for use on wood or laminate floors it is unstable and slides around the room.
From the write-up online, it might be difficult to tell what the toy does, so I'll try to explain some of the things that it does. First, there are two settings that the entire toy can be put on--either music or ABC (verbal learning). There are several features, though a couple are not connected to anything electronically. The features are:
1) An open plastic "book" with two page spreads. On the music setting, these do the ABCs or 123s songs. On the ABC setting, they talk about things like favorite numbers or letters. From this part of the board, it seems that the speaker (when using the toy) is the giraffe pictured by the book.
2) Going clockwise, next there's a hippo's head. Open the mouth--and there's a mirror! On the ABC setting the hippo does things like opposites--saying "open" and "closed," "hello" and "bye-bye." The music setting does a song about hippos, and various sounds.
3) Next is a tiger with a trumpet. The musical note is the action item here--it can be slid left or right. The trumpet on the ABC setting says opposites--"right" and "left," "loud" and "quiet," etc. On the music setting, there are things like trumpet sounds.
4) Next is a non-electronic guitar. This can be turned by grabbing the knob or sticking a little finger in the hole. As it turns, it makes a clicking, cranking sound.
5) The piano-like buttons are a favorite. On the music setting, they do short little beats. When the toy is set on ABC, they active a voice that says their numbers or colors.
6) Here comes another non-electronic part! The fish roller is really cute. It has a clear roller wheel in it. The wheel contains little plastic balls that make sounds when the wheel is rotated.
7) The center drum is the main attraction. It lights up and interacts with certain parts on the rest of the board (including the piano keys and book feature). It contains four lights: orange is a circle, red is a square, green is a triangle, and yellow is a star. It's touch-activated and thus has its own features, as well. When tapped on the music setting, it encourages drumming a slow beat to music. On the verbal learning setting (ABC), there are lessons about colors, shapes, and lights being on or off.
From a baby's point of view: The most fun feature is the three buttons (which look like a piano, but don't really play musical notes) set on the music setting. They are easy to push. The center section is also interesting. The music setting is more fun than the learning one (of course!).
From an adult's point of view, there's just one thing I don't like about this toy, and that's that it interrupts itself. I can understand this being a setting/option (though it's not), since it might be annoying if you have to listen to the ABC song a million times in a row and not be able to stop it if a baby keeps using the same feature over and over. But the way the toy works, it's almost like it's fighting with itself, for lack of a better way to explain it. Babies like to bang on things, and the toy generally doesn't play out a whole song or statement if it gets interrupted by another touch or hit. So, for example, let's say that the ABC song is playing. A baby doesn't know not to hit a different button, and thus likely won't let the song play in full. Playing with another feature on the toy can cause the previous one to stop. It's still a really nice play set, though, and I most appreciate how they fit so much into a small size!
The drum in the center where they can tap a shape to hear its color and shape name was nice but at 7 months my daughter doesn't have the strength required to make that work. As an adult, I have to smack the drum really hard to get it to work which is obviously a con and even when you tap one shape, it lights up a different one than you tapped. I was expecting more activities and was disappointed.
It has 2 modes which are music and learning and I do like the bright/attractive colors with the jungle theme. I did like the use of teaching the opposites. It was very easy to put together since you only have to attach the legs, but there's no way this toy could work for up to 36 months old as it claims. My daughter at 7 months already has to bend down to do the activities on the table so it's way too short. Also, it's not made very sturdy and the legs are very wobbly so you have to sit with your child while he or she stands to use it otherwise they could easily fall and take the toy down with him or her.
Given all of its drawbacks, which I was surprised about since Leapfrog always has great products, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend...or an enemy. Let's just say it's not worth the $35 it cost.
The Animal Adventure Learning Table is basically a new and improved table than what we had. It features bright colors with just enough fun to keep kids entertained (and secretly leanring) and it comes in a round table format. Since Olivia is 14 months we started it out on its four legs but you can snap off the legs and use it on the floor, which is perfect for kids 6 months old. Actually our old LeapFrog table helped my little guys learn to stand and build up their confidence to walk since we started with them on the floor and then after awhile I snapped on the legs making them stand up with it to play. The legs on this table are seriously easy to snap off or take off (no tools required.) I wish I would have had this table before Olivia started walking, although I definitely see her playing with well into 3 years old (my 4 and 5 year old boys are even intrigued by it!)
Like I said earlier the table is round which to me gives it a modern design and the size is really big enough for two kids to play at. There are activities around the table but my daughters favorite is probably the drum in the center. She bangs on that thing like there is no tomorrow! The other activities involve tapping, turning, flipping, spinning, patting and pressing lots of playing basically! The table also goes to sleep after a period of one minute of inactivity and can be woken up by pushing any button.
About the different stations:
Giraffe: Flip the page for ABC or 1-2-3 activities
Hippo: Lift mouth for songs, mirror fun and peek-a-book play
Tiger: Slide music notes to learn about opposites and hear silly sounds
Monkey: Spin the guitar for motor skill fun
Piano: Explore music notes, melodies, numbers and colors
Fish: Bat the spinner to see it rattle and roll.
Drum: Tap for a musical light show and learn about shapes, numbers, colors and more!
Overall, this table has been a hit with my little one, she plays with it multiple times a day, everyday. She will play for a little bit, do something else and then go back to it. I love hearing all the different sounds and songs, much better than having the same old songs over and over! Oh and it does come with the required batteries so it is ready to go right out of the box.

This table toy is fun with seven activity centers. My daughter's favorite is the peekaboo Hippo. The table is smaller than it appears in photos and very short. It looks more stable than it actually is. The plastic legs are made of flimsy plastic. I rate it high for the activities and music but we will use it without the legs attached due to its height and instability.Pros:
-Cute zoo animals.
-Fun learning activities for colors, ABCs, Shapes, and numbers.
-Super easy assembly. Just attach the removable legs.
-Musical songs to help in learning shapes and colors.
Cons:
-Table is very short for children over one year old. Stands only 12" tall with legs attached.
-Must use on carpet since there is no rubber footing for use on wood or laminate floors it is unstable and slides around the room.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a really sweet toy with lots of opportunities to play. One of the nice things about it is that it's so compact in size. Honest reviews on LeapFrog Animal Adventure Learning Table
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love many of Leapfrog's products, but definitely not this one. First of all, the claim that it has over 100 songs and activities is sorely overstated my estimate would be that it has about 10 songs and 7 activities. The only activities it has are turning the guitar strings by the monkey, sliding the music note back and forth to hear opposites/horn sounds, lifting the hippo's face to see the mirror, turning the page on the 1 page book, spinning the fish wheel, pushing one of three piano keys, and tapping the drum in the center. The drum in the center where they can tap a shape to hear its color and shape name was nice but at 7 months my daughter doesn't have the strength required to make that work. We love LeapFrog products and one of my favorite toys from my first son is this LeapFrog play table he got for his first Christmas. He played with that table probably every day and then my second son did and recently it has been Olivia.
