I purchased this set for my 5 month old baby, having looked at natural rubber bath toys for about a year. I was a little skeptical about several things. First, I wondered if the legs of the octopus were too long, creating a potential choking hazard. Second, I was curious if the set was worth the $22 I paid for it. Third, I had been studying natural rubber bath toys for awhile, and was *very* skeptical about having holes in the rubber toys, as it is difficult to clean inside the toys and mold builds up.

I was delighted to find that all of my concerns were quickly put at ease.

The legs of the octopus do stick out a tiny bit, but not so far as an infant could choke on them.

At just over $4 for each toy, this is an amazing deal, when you you compare with other natural rubber bath toys, especially considering how solid and well-designed these are.

There are holes in the bottom of the sharks, octopus and scuba-man, but I believe they are designed big enough for a finger to fit into and have puppet play in the tub as well. There is ample room for sticking a toothbrush inside and cleaning out sufficiently. There are little openings at the top of the scuba-man as well, but I believe a toothbrush should clean it nicely.

I am extremely pleased with this purchase and am looking forward to buying more toys and games from BeginAgain.

Great toy. The individual toys are awesome. The octopus and the diver are the two favorites right now. The ball itself is great as both a toy and as storage. The all natural rubber is great, though it will certainly make you very, very aware of how much nicer the natural rubber is than toys made of non-natural rubber. Made me want to replace all the other bath toys with natural rubber toys. It's amazing. The feel and the SMELL is so different than typical plastic. Wish it was made in the USA, but hard to argue with the materials, eco-friendly packaging, and the rest. Been loads of fun so far for our 16mo old. New favorite toy for the tub.

I was worried about buying these, because of the other reviews about the smell, but it was very faint and I thought it smelled nice...kinda floraly? Not bad at all. And after playing with them a bit, it's almost completely gone. So don't worry about that part of it.

My three year old is always telling me she wants to be a farmer when she grows up so I knew this product would be perfect for her. The main play is to place the animals inside the barn and use sensory skills to identify each animal by touch. There is a vinyl flap on the top which is easy for little toddler hands to go in and out. It doesn't scratch up Kenzie's hands either. She definitely enjoys hiding her animals in the barn to quickly finding them again. The size of this toy makes it very portable and clean up is a breeze as you just place the animals inside the barn for nap time.

We love the adorable barn with 4 mommy (or daddy) animals and 4 matching baby animals; horse, cow, duck, and pig (though we'd love to have even more animals). Vinyl flaps over the opening at the top of the barn keep kids from peeking to see what animal they're grabbing out of the barn. This game offers many ways to have fun while learning, such as practicing animal sounds, matching, and big vs little. It also enhances tactile and sensory awareness.

It was fun to watch my toddler reach in and show total shock and excitement at what he pulled out. At 2 years old he knows his animals and animal sounds, but it was still fun to encourage him to make the sounds of the animals as they appeared from the barn. I tried getting him to tell me which animal he felt and guess what it was before he pulled it out of the barn, but he wasn't always interested; Being a typical 2-year old, he was willing to cooperate at first when I tried getting him to do things with the animalslike matching up the mommy and baby animalsbut after a few minutes he was ready to just play with it all. It's been great for learning play AND free play, and I love knowing he's safe with it because of the larger pieces!

This puzzle is so cute and unique. I just had to get one for my son. He seems to like this too. Nice quality and cute design. It's a great addition to his toy box. About 12 in x 8.5 in so, not too small or big for him. I think $25 for a wooden puzzle is a bit pricy... But this is so cute!

The Pioneer World Globe is light weight, has the multi-colored countries, and has the texture to feel the mountain ranges like the Continental Divide in North America. The globe can be moved to view the entire earth and the meridian around the globe is a very nice feature as well. Our school's PTSA purchased this globe for our teacher who was awarded the Idaho Outstanding PTA Educator of 2012-13. We had a local engraver put a small plaque on it commemorating her achievement. This turned out to be a great keepsake and a very nice addition to her classroom.

Cheap FingerTech "Viper" R/C Robot Kit

After robogames last year my eight year old daughter wanted to build a combat robot. She was able to assemble this kit entirely by herself in about 1.5 hours by following the included instructions. She has some experience soldering and likes to work with her hands. The kit has survived bashing around our arena and falls from 3 feet repeatedly. She is working on a mold for the vacuum former to improve the top armor which from stock looks like it is only 0.0625. Fingertech has worked hard to put a set of robust components together at a reasonable price with excellent documentation. If you like to work with sheet metal, you could put this kit together for slightly less, but quality costs money and their engineering and planning is totally worth the price of entry for what you will learn about how to put together a small robot.

Buy Skip Hop Giraffe Safari Activity Toy

My son likes the textures on the blue leaf, both to touch and to put in his mouth. And there are other areas on the toy for tugging, like the ears, tail, and some loops along the giraffe's back. Keeps his little hands busy.

Some areas of the toy seem to be stuffed with different fillers, like beads or seeds, which make it satisfying and interesting to squeeze because of the different textures.

The wooden ring is really nice. It's smooth and unpainted, so I know that no paint is going to chip off in his mouth as he chews it. This toy makes a pleasant jingling sound when you shake it. Neither loud, nor annoying.

I also like the size (it's the size of a small stuffed animal), because it is more substantial than your average rattle. So it could make a nice gift.

this toy was an instant favorite!

anything with a mirror is a hit at our house and this one is top of the list...

my favorite feature is that the giraffe's "mane" is a row of loops that the plastic clip hooks into so you can hang it from the car seat canopy or attach it to the stroller so it won't fall out. i LOVE that i can attach the clip to the bottom loop so the giraffe faces right at my baby while it's attached to the canopy! other toys don't work that way and when they're hanging from above, she can only see the bottom of it. with this one, i can hang it so it faces her perfectly and she can see the mirror and pull on the legs, teeth on the wooden ring etc. there's lots to do and feel with this.

i also love that once she's older, i can remove the clip altogether and it'll just be a cute stuffed-animal toy for her.

this collection of skip hop toys is really cute – i love that they're gender neutral and modern looking. a total go-to for a cute baby gift!

The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is its claims to its activities are over-rated. I almost sent it back, but fortunately learned the infant perspective is different from mine. I take care of my twin grandchildren, a boy and a girl. When I got this they were 5 months, with adjusted age for prematurity of three months. Both can be entertained in a seat for longer with this toy than most others, and that has continued for a month now. I don't know why, because the supposed chime inside can barely be heard, the leg pull moves too little to be significant, the mirror is a distorted blur, and the toy just seems ho hum to me. But so glad I kept it because the twins are able to hang onto it well and they find it entertaining so it occupies one while I take care of the other. From their view, it is a five star toy.

When my 9 year old son opened this gift, I thought he was going to burst. It is by far his favorite gift. He carries it around with him wherever he goes. The brass telescope is heavy and focuses by adjusting the length of the extension slightly. The handle is wrapped in leather, which is hand-sewn together at the seam. The box that it came in is excellent quality as well--nicely finished with smooth seams. I find this gift to be a steal for the quality. If you are looking for a gift with an authentic, antique, pirate feel with high quality of craftsmanship, this is the gift to get.

I just got me telescope and it is really nice. The brass gleams, the leather is REAL, the wooden box is high quality.

They shipped it immediately and it arrived in perfect condition. I bought it as a sorta salty accessory on me desktop, but this morning at daybreak i went out to the bay and spotted me first lovely lonely mermaid on the rocks some distance away. I was able to observe her unnoticed and the telescope was strong enough for me to see the scales on her tail.

Highly recommended.

ps.

the telescope works by pulling in or pushing out the tubes until if focuses. If you are interested in top quality optics in order to, say, watch an eagle snag a salmon, this is not the right telescope for you ... but if you want to snag approving looks directed toward you that say "what a cut of the canvas that old salt makes", (or something like that) and still get a reasonably close up and clear view of the things you seek then you will be a happy sailor with this spyglass.

It really worked like a telescope. Once I learned how to focus it, I was impressed. It felt like brass, smelled like brass, it is brass. Not heavy guage metal, but resonable, it is a toy. A useful toy, but a toy. I gave it to my grandson, showed him how to adjust the focus and now his dad takes it to football games, but the boy gets to play with it to. So it is a useful toy for young and the not so young. I did have to reassembly it when it arrived, but that was simple and gave me a chance to clean the lenses inside.

I saw all the great reviews about the TickleMe Plant Greenhouse and wondered if we could paint the greenhouse, as our family loves craft projects too. I stumbled upon the TickleMe Plant Greenhouse with the Paint set. Wow! What fun.

We planted the seeds in the soil pellets as instructed. We then painted the greenhouse and in a few days the plants sprouted!

It wasn't long before the second set of leaves formed and guess what the leaves folded up like magic when we tickle them. They also opened back up shortly after. So now we had a gardening, craft and sort of a science project all in one. Highly recommended!

VTech - Write & Learn Letter Book Review

My son is almost 3 years old and we've been searching for an educational toy that he would actually enjoy, would still want to play with after the first couple days, and that wouldn't get beat-up easily by a toddler. This is it! He loves the toy, and I have to admit that I even enjoy playing with it a little. The sounds and music are not annoying at all, the illustrations are great, and I love the many different ways the toy can help teach your child their abc's, numbers, and even animals. I especially like the music page it allows your child to record what they play and it will play it back to them so they can hear what they created. Wow! I got this on sale for less than $10 and it's the best toy we've ever purchased for our son.

I would highly recommend this toy for all preschoolers. It is a useful tool for kids 3+ and up. My daughter plays with this toy for hours. It helps her with her alphabets and numbers. It also helps her identify different animals.

I purchased this interative learning book, for my 3 yr old son. He loves using it, especially the music part of it. I notice it helps if you use this book, to interact with them, by showing them how to use it and to teach from. Its a great interactive, learning book for a child 3+, because any younger than that, the child may wreck it more than using it, by roughplaying with it. I soon realized this with my son. I was unable to introduce him to books early than 3 yrs old, especially this one, cause he would pull out or tear the pages in books! I had bought this book, for $ on Amazon.com, awhile back. I would not recommend anyone buying this book, if it is more than that. You can find many other learning good books, toys, cards, etc that will do the same job, even better for the total of that price.

For the money, I wasn't expecting such a large toy. This turtle is roughly eight inches long from nose to tail and doesn't fit the scale of the rest of my Schleich, Safari, and PAPO figurines. That's not really a negative but whoever did the hand-painting did such a sloppy job I may be forced to return it. There are several smudges of white paint on the dark brown of the shell, and one of the lines separating the dark plates of the shell itself is so far off I think the painter must have sneezed or something and then didn't bother to fix it. The pattern of small brown scales on the head and legs does not go up to the body cavity like it shows in the photo and several times the painter simply swiped the entire area with brown paint to coat the entire surface. You can see brushstrokes and mistake after mistake. Maybe it was his first day on the job?

All in all, definitely not a quality item. I would only buy this in-stores or be prepared to send it back if they send you such a sloppy item.

our kids really like these themed place mats.

Based on the fact that they sit down to eat a couple of times every day they have a look at these sets, which is a basic way of memorizing things (repetition).

Since we have several of these we went to hanging those not at the talbe in line at the wall in their play room.

With the b/w blanc backside they can see how much they know, which they do occasionally (specifically for the geography sets)

Stones set doesn't have as much information as some other sets...
