You have to get this book for your child's leap pad system. It teaches how to spell out words, which is great for K-2, and it really has some interesting facts. There's one entire page with a bunch of different spiders on it and the book tells the particulars of the spiders, what their habits are, etc. It's just very fascinating, the games are quite fun, and it's been quite the favorite in our house. Highly recommend!

The Barbie microphone works well. Plays 2 Barbie songs and connects to ipod great.

My 3 year old daughter loves it. However, it is not what we ordered. The description stated that it was a "barbie PRINCESS AND POPSTAR" microphone. What we received is a "Barbie I can be..." microphone. TOTALLY different songs. I don't like the song on this one. "I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world" ?? I enjoy the Princess and Popstar songs -and I fell they are more fitting for a little girl. We will keep this one but disappointed.

My grand daughter loves this microphone! You can play song(s) and sing along or just use it as a microphone. The fact that it doesn't have to be connected to any thing to use is a big plus since my grand daughter can walk or dance around and use it. The toy itself doesn't stay together very well. Might be a singular defect. Bird must be disassembled to fit into egg, which does not latch in any way and comes apart constantly. Fun idea, and I love WordWorld, so it's worth it.

My 2.5 year old loves this. He's entertained for at least 10 minutes just taking it out of the egg, building it, and then playing with it. I kept the throw away little brown X and told him it was food and now he enjoys pretend feeding it as well. Great purchase. Also great for wording with outs like open, in, out, and counting, as they are in pieces and must be built.

We purchased this activity cube for our 9 month old son this Christmas. He immediately started playing with it and exploring all the movable parts. It is extremely sturdy and well made, and we love that it's wood instead of plastic. This also gives it some weight so that he can pull up on it without it sliding too much. One side has detachable shapes that we're going to leave off until he's older (right now they would go straight in his mouth), even though they're decent size and unlikely a choking hazard. This way I can leave him alone with the cube and not worry at all. Another great aspect... it comes as ONE PIECE, already assembled!!! No screws, instructions, or parts to mess with :) And with prime shipping we got it in two days. As he gets older there are many "teachable" components: counting, shapes, gears, animals, colors. I'm excited that this toy will grow with him and is durable enough to last through many more children. We are extremely happy with this product... Santa did a good job this year!

We had bought a smaller version from another company and my 10 month old played with it so much we decided she needed a bigger one.

This is hands down her favorite toy, she will play with it for hours. There's so much stuff to do she never seems to get bored with it. The only thing I don't like about this toy is the sharp edges, you can pad them just make sure your baby can't tear the padding off. I would also recommended putting it on a carpeted surface as it can be slippery and cause falls if your baby tries to use it to stand up on.

I purchased this item for my Son after seeing how much he liked working with similar ones in waiting rooms. The construction is great, everything seems well attached except for the magnetically attached shapes, they are hard to keep attached. I may make a modification, replacing the magnets with higher power ones, but we shall see.

My Son has played with the cube many times and certainly enjoys pulling the beads across the metal lines. I am very happy with the item and would suggest it for anyone who wants their child to have access to the same items they would have in a classroom setting.

I bought this for my 1 yr. old grandson. Definitely age appropriate, and something he will be able to use until he is 3. I did put the shape toys away for a later date, as I do think that they "might" pose a choking hazard, as he is a mouther. Other wise....great product!!

I got these to use with preschoolers and newborns. I am a speech pathologist working in home health care. This is the best size for the kids I work with, but I wouldn't mind if there was an even smaller one available. These are very helpful for giving to kids to gnaw on when they are teething; the chewing helps to bring the tooth fully through the gums.

Both my son and daughter have severe Sensory Processing Disorder. My daughter, being the sensory seeker, was chewing on anything and everything, and picking her lips until they bled until we got a chewy tube! There is an element of FRAUD used in the photos shown on MANY of the iQuest cartridges on AMAZON. Almost ALL show TWO cartridges. However, you frequently only get ONE. The difference is the package that only has ONE, is an OLD outdated one and covers textbooks so old they are no longer used in the schools. They are primarily designed to be used by entering the PUBLISHER of your child's textbook, and then selecting the title of the TEXTBOOK so you can test yourself on the chapter you are doing in class, which makes the single cartridge useless.

However, you can still use them as just a questio and answer game, and just not enter the textbook info, but you should not have to pay the same price for them, as they only have about 50% as much info on them and do not co-ordinate with currently used textbooks.

I had to order 3 times before I got the current 2 cartridge pack. Amazon knows the photos are deceiving and refuses to correst them, which is FRAUD. Even after I called Amazon, BEFORE I ordered each time, to ask if I would get TWO or ONE, I was assured I would get TWO, and I only got ONE . . . .

IF you get the current 2 pk. edition, it is a GREAT deal and a wonderful educational tool. I homeschool and use these as part of our curriculim.

This is a nice book. Both my two year old son and I like it a lot. It has the normal animals like DOG and LION, but also unexpected animals like DINGO. It shows the animals according to their habitat and you can hear the animals' names and their actual sounds, plus extra miscellaneous activities.

I bought the Animal family photos for my granddaughter at the time she was one. The first attraction was the animal sounds, then she was relating the animals to the sounds they make to identifing the animal by name. My granddaughter is two now and she sure knows her animals. The little tidbits about the animals are good and easy for little ones to understand. Of course she has her favorite animals she loves to listen too. Like all of LeapFrog products, this too is great!

Bought this to help my toddler with speech therapy. I remember these as a kid being really fun to use and loud, but this one is pretty junky. You have to hold it literally right to your mouth, yell into it and even then, you hardly hear a thing and there's practically zero echo. Cute colors and durable, just not what I was expecting performance wise from the Gymboree label. The little one's not the least bit interested in it.

Bought this for my young toddler to encourage him to make news sounds as he's receiving speech therapy for being a late talker. What a difference this is making already trying out new sounds has become a game and we're making progress already after only a few days. My 5 year old thinks it's fun too! Great product!

We wanted some kind of ride-on toy for our son for his first Xmas, but he was only 10.5 mos. and not walking yet, so the rockin' puppy was not exactly something he could play with independently. He seemed to enjoy it at first as long as we were rocking him. Then it became another toy taking up space in the livingroom for the last month. Recently he has been making his way over to it and begging for us to rock him. It is durable and requires almost no installation. He has learned to stand up in it and climbs down just fine. If you're not worried about minor bumps, let your infant try different ways of riding. My son's cousins, between 2-7 years all enjoy the rockin' puppy. For the price, it is a good first ride-on and I don't regret the purchase. One word of caution, however, Rockin' Puppy is unsuitable for interchanging between inside/outside use if left uncovered in the rain...If water gets into it, it is nearly impossible to get out and will also leak water inside.

We have the older version of the Little Tikes rocker, which is a green horse. But in size and concept, they are the same.

We bought my boy the Fisher Price Brilliant Basics horse for Christmas last year he was 13 months and he wanted NOTHING to do with it. And it was so tiny, I feared by the time he was into it, he'd be too bog for it. So we took it back. Then recently, maybe two months ago, a friend gave me her old Little Tikes horse... and my boy LOVES it now. (he is 21 1/2 months old)

I think that where these things say ages 1 and up, most kids aren't ready for them by age one. Well at any rate my guy certainly wasn't, and my friend says hers wasn't, either. Admittedly that's a small sample, but... I think it's something that bears considering. One year of age may be too young.

18 months and up might be more accurrate.

My guy will rock and rock on this thing... he's put it to the test, and there have been times I swear it would flip, but it never has.

When my friend comes over with he 4 1/2 year old, though he is big for it, he will still happily get on and ride this thing. So size-wise, I think this will provide you with a lot more use than the FP version.

Simple, all one piece, no batteries, no obnoxious noises, nothing to come off or lose. Very sturdy, very safe.

Overall, we like it a lot. :-)

My 13 month old ended up with two rocking horses and this puppy at Christmas due to lack of family communication. If she would have only recieved this one, I think it would be used more. One of her ponies sings while she rides it so of course that's her favorite. The only bad thing about this one is she learned almost right away that she can stand on the seat and rock it. It's really low to the ground. I can't leave it in her room unless I'm in there because I don't want her to climb on it and knock a tooth out! But, she does like it. When I bring it out, she keeps saying "puppy, puppy!" and climbs on by herself.

I actually got this toy free at Toys R US when I purchased the Little Tikes basketball set. From the photo I thought this was a plastic nothing but my 18 month old little girl loves it! Easy to get on, off, sometimes rides it backwards but no biggie--we flip her around until she learns herself. Nice toy, nice price and would've paid for it if I had known she'd enjoy it this much! My son is almost 3 years old and we've been searching for an educational toy that he would actually enjoy, would still want to play with after the first couple days, and that wouldn't get beat-up easily by a toddler. This is it! He loves the toy, and I have to admit that I even enjoy playing with it a little. The sounds and music are not annoying at all, the illustrations are great, and I love the many different ways the toy can help teach your child their abc's, numbers, and even animals. I especially like the music page it allows your child to record what they play and it will play it back to them so they can hear what they created. Wow! I got this on sale for less than $10 and it's the best toy we've ever purchased for our son.

I purchased this interative learning book, for my 3 yr old son. He loves using it, especially the music part of it. I notice it helps if you use this book, to interact with them, by showing them how to use it and to teach from. Its a great interactive, learning book for a child 3+, because any younger than that, the child may wreck it more than using it, by roughplaying with it. I soon realized this with my son. I was unable to introduce him to books early than 3 yrs old, especially this one, cause he would pull out or tear the pages in books! I had bought this book, for $ on Amazon.com, awhile back. I would not recommend anyone buying this book, if it is more than that. When I purchased the Twisterz (in the brick & mortar Barnes & Noble) I expected 4 cylinders with rings that stay one them permanently. Instead there is only 1 cylinder with four sets of interchangeable rings and no bag or box to store them in. At my house, pieces like the picture and letter rings would end up separated and useless in the bottom of the toy box unless I constantly monitor the use of the toy to ensure all the pieces were always returned to the designated bag or box when my son is done using them. I can't attest as to how much fun the toy is as I put it back in the box to return it immediately without letting my son play with it. That said, as a former kindergarten teacher I really like the concept of the toy to teach initial letter sounds. If the box had indeed contained 4 complete cylinders I think it would be great.

I wanted this to be a great learning toy for my kids, but it really does not keep their attention. Some of the pictures are confusing and therefore, my daughter can't identify which letter they start with on her own (which is the point of the product). There is also many pieces and no easy way to store them. So far, we have owned this toy for a year and my daughter has never pulled it out to play with it on her own. I would only recommend this product if you are homeschooling and looking for a different way to reinforce letter sounds.
