This is not a toy, but a resource for math. It is a book, that has a game in it for the various tiers of the discipline. Well organized, and the students love it!

Ereadbook World Classic Fairy Tales Collection 8 Books - Talking Review
We just got this set of eight books and are having a lot of fun with them. Very colorful illustrated versions of Little Red Riding Hood (missing in the product detail images on this page), The Frog Prince, The Sad Prince, Snow White, Pinocchio, The Emperor's New Clothes, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty.
You set the eReadbook pen to each book by touching to the logo on the book's cover, then set the volume with the visible volume control printed inside the book. Then you read through the book by touching both the written (simplified chinese and pinyin) text and the images. They work together, with a lot of the dialogue not being in the text, but rather when you touch the characters illustrated on the page. This adds a lot of interest and fun for the child, as each character has a different voice and speaks his lines with great emotion! Many other details on the pages can be touched to add further sound input: most of the animals either speak or make animal sounds, flowers and backgrounds play music, water splashes etc.
There is no English, and much of the body of the storytelling is in touching the illustrations, so it takes a reasonable comprehension of Chinese to make good use of these books. Of course knowing these classic tales in advance helps a lot with understanding the chinese if you are a learner. We are at an elementary level (I have been learning for three years on my own) and can understand most if listened to several times.
It would have been better if when the text was touched with the pen, that it was read sentence by sentence. Instead when you touch the text, it reads the whole page at once, rather quickly. You can touch a "stop" button at the top of each page, but that just stops where it is at when you stop it, and when you restart it begins all over from the start of the page. This can be quite annoying if you just don't catch the last four words: you have to listen to the whole paragraph over and over to catch the last words. You also cannot just click on just one character or pinyin word to hear it (at least that I understand: the instructions are in Chinese). The "beginning English" book included with the eReadbook Starter Set has the feature I wish they had put in these storybooks: it reads only a sentence at a time. So you can click on only the third sentence in a paragraph and hear that repeated. I guess they were made for fluent Chinese speakers learning English and not the other way round.
The illustrations vary from digital picturebook type drawings to quite flowery manga-type illustrations for the princess stories, but they are all very very full of details and brilliant color.
Each spread also has a "game" function. Once again you need to be able to understand spoken basic chinese, but when you touch the game icon at the top of each page, instead of reading the story, it prompts you to find things on the page, ie "there is a little caterpillar, little friend can you find it?" "There are six little birds on the page, can you count them?" and then says "great! good job! wonderful! you're so smart!" when you touch the right objects, or " sorry, try again! that's wrong! once more!" if you touch the wrong ones.
All in all, an excellent elementary/intermediate set for storytelling and listening practice in Chinese, with a lot of interaction, fun discoveries on the pages, colorful illustrations, engaging voices and games. Recommended.

Buy Thumler's Tumbler AR-12 Rotary Rock Tumbler
The tumbler works great and the price compared to other tumblers of the same capacity is good. I have been using mine for tumbling brass for reloading with stainless pins and water. I couldn't ask for better performance for dirty brass. The only drawback at all is the lid and how it is retained. The lid fits in a recess in the drum and a large worm screw clamp secures it. It can be a little difficult to insert at times but once seated and clamped I haven't had a drop of water come out yet. Also not any real issue but the drum needs to laid in the rollers with the lid of the drum opposite of the motor side. I had it hand up a couple of times the other way but no issue when turned away. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if the need comes up.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program
My 1 year old and 3 year old LOVE this toy. It's got 4 different song/music settings, so I'm not stuck listening to the same thing over and over! It also has 2 different volume settings, which is great! The keys are easy to push, but the balls don't jump as much as I thought they would, and that does frustrate my 1 year old a little bit. It's easy to carry and even when dropped (multiple times!) works great! Overall, it's a good toy and my kids really enjoy it!
There are 4 basic modes:
Number: Press a key, number "sung" (1-8, in the tone of a scale)
Color: The color of the key "sung"
Free Play: Each key becomes a different instrument
Song: The piano plays a song; kids can choose to accompany by pressing other keys
What my child loves: watching the balls go up. He likes the songs and has had a lot of fun just playing random keys. The switch to move from counting to colors to free play is easy for him to manipulate.
What I like: the tonality is pretty good for a kids' toy. And because it follows the scale, you can play some actual songs on it. I also like that it doesn't have anything to break off or keep stored with it, as many of the child xylophones do.
However, I find it a little loud. It comes with a volume switch, but even the "low" setting is loud. I also wish that it counted higher than 8 (he can already count to 8).That limits its educational value. It does start to get annoying when they push the same button over and over, especially in counting mode. "Eeeeiiiight! Eeeeiiiight! Eeeeeeight! Eeeeeeight! Eeeeeeight!" etc.
Remember the 90's Sampsonite commercial where they have a gorilla in a room with a suitcase? That's like my kid with toys. If he can break it, he will. He's already dropped it down the stairs once and so far it's holding up well, which has been true of all the LeapFrog toys we've used.
Hands down, in every documented study, plain old wood blocks provide more stimulation, more fine motor skill development, more problem-solving, etc. Also keep in mind, electronic toys like this encourage kids to play alone they tend to work against socialization skills. Every child (as early as 6 months), should have wood blocks, flash cards, mega blocks or legos, lincoln logs, things like that. And, lots of board books around.
However, often times people want to buy "exciting" electronic toys for holidays and birthdays toys that talk, sing, light up, etc. No matter how educational they claim to be, toys like this "do the work" for your child, and are not as challenging. But it's obviously not going to kill your child to have a few of these around!
So if you're looking for electronic toys, we strongly recommend Leapfrog products. We've tested many, many toys and we own 3 different Leapfrog toys (including a Phonics Dinosaur toy that has been dropped, thrown, rolled down the stairs, and still looks and plays like new!).
I find the Leapfrog products are intuitive, durable, more educational than any other electronic toys (like Fisher Price, etc), and well thought out.
This Poppin Piano is exactly what I expected it to be. Many functions to keep your child engaged. Counting & color games. A regular piano mode (*every* child needs a piano of some sort, to learn music & also fine motor skills).
And like all other Leapfrog products, it's not too noisy, it's a smart power saver so it doesn't drain the batteries, and the noises & singing are nice and soft (not loud & shrill like many other electronic toys).
Leapfrog recommends this for 12-36 months. But our 7 month old is actually using it the "poppin" balls are fun to watch, and it's a great opportunity to learn cause & effect.
So if you're a parent, these kinds of toys are great for car rides, for short-attention-span moments, a kitchen activity (while you're busy cooking), etc. We don't recommend it as an "everyday" toy. We keep electronic toys locked up, and pull them out only occasionally. However, for the category of electronic toys, Leapfrog always gets best in class.
(PS If you're interested in more information about these studies, or about early childhood development, the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is free online to read back issues.)
This is one of the most versatile "deep" toys I've seen for toddlers! I had a blast figuring out all the possibilities. My early childhood teacher opinion is you'll get a lot of learning mileage out of this and the child will have fun.
I recommend you first let the child explore the toy for a week or two before trying to teach concepts. Then, make teaching sessions short, fun and successful. Quit before the child gets restless or frustrated with the activity.
I wrote this HELP SHEET so you and the child can get the most out of the toy over a three year period. The toy has a few "quirks" and hidden possibilities that took a lot of time to figure out.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My youngest child as of 2012 is 2. When I received this toy, I thought he would enjoy it at least. He played with it for about 10 to 15 minutes and was done. The toy is very basic. It is a small keyboard with the various colors. The color of the keys are matched with a small ball that goes up when the key is pressed. The toy has four different settings for colors, numbers, and two settings for music. My child does need to learn his colors better which is why I got the toy in the first place.Overall, this toy perhaps would be better for an even younger child than 2. Discount My Tot Clock Faceplate: Princess Design
The tot clock is one of the greatest tools for sleeping. This is a cute faceplate for my daughter. She talks about it and wants to see her clock. This is really not a toy so it was hard to rate it but it is a great addition to the "My Tot Clock". I love the idea that you can change the face of this clock to blend with the decor of the child's room. My granddaughter loves the colors, the rainbow and the dancing shoes on her faceplate.
Best Compact Sling Psychrometer Deals
My old compact sling psychrometer broke after 5 years of use. The product is great for the type of environment I use it in (getting moisture reading on flooded basements and crawl spaces). No electronics to worry about should the instrument get dropped in the water.

Discount Square Artist Pastels, 48 Assorted Colors Set
The pastels are soft pastels more than likely when they arrive you will have some broken. I had two broken which was no big deal since they were exactly in the middle. As the description describes they are 99% chalk, they act like that is a good thing. The higher end pastels have more pigment than these which is why they cost more.
They break up faster when you push down on the page than high end ones as well because as you try to put more pigment down instead you get more chalk. You don't want more chalk on your painting you want more pigment.
CONS:
Blending:
As for blending it can blend as does all soft chalk just not as well as for example Rembrandt brand. Rembrandt doesn't break up as easy has bolder colors and seems like less chalk more pigment. But that is a 3 x price difference.
Bold Colors:
The colors are not as bold as high end brands because of the lack of pigment. As the term Pastel colors comes to mind. Rather than bright bold reds, greens, extra. Only a few colors out of the 48, one yellow and pink seem to have any boldness. Maybe those two good chalks were mistakes at the factory they put more pigment in resulting in two good ones.
Going over the top of another color:
Somewhat more difficult as well.
PRO
Price:
Amount of Colors: 48
Two Whites, Two Blacks:
The great thing about it was there are 48 colors and they give you two white and two black the colors that you need two of you get. I may even say three white. White is so important only way you can lighten besides taking it off.
Size of Stick:
The stick size is decent if it was 1/2 the length in size with more pigment that would be better because you have to push chalk to get the pigment.
Overall I probably buy them again. The price is right they blend well enough. The pigment is not bold but workable. Though I must admit if they are almost at the brink with pigment if they change this in any way worse with the stick I wouldn't buy them again. There are a few worse brands in this price range with less chalk in the box.

This is my second set. I am not an artist but I use them frequently to color flannel board stories and home school projects. They blend well and the colors are fine for me, I am sure that the pigments would be brighter in more expensive sets but for my purposes I can get dark colors. I was surprised that chalk projects also work well heat laminated, I was worried that the dust might prevent the lamination to stick but I have laminated many, many chalk colored projects.Best Deals for Square Artist Pastels, 48 Assorted Colors Set

This is my first time ever using pastels. And because I found this product I was able to take my drawings to a whole new level. The product itself was received very quickly, in good shape with no broken pastels, and the colors are really brilliant. The only thing--and this can apply to all pastels-is that they do ware really quickly. And even though they're hard they still will break pretty easily. VTech Alphabet Apple Electronic Fundamentals of Reading Reviews
I purchased this as a gift for a friend's 20 month old daughter and while she wasn't that interested I found this thing incredibly amusing (I'm sure she will too in a few months). It has five different settings on the side that allow you to play with it differently learn the letters, learn the letter sounds, find it, before and after, and music.
It was relatively quiet (a big plus) and seemed to be pretty sturdy. Really liked that it corrected you by giving the right answer rather than saying you were wrong.

This is one of the best educational toys that my 3 year old has! She carries it everywhere! This toy has so much to do.. from learning the letters and sounds, to words and songs! It's a great toy for a long trip! I just can't say enough about it!Best Deals for VTech Alphabet Apple Electronic Fundamentals of Reading
The idea of this toy is great, but it's very hard to understand the audio. I bought it for my daughter but didn't give it to her because I thought it would confuse her more than it would help. I really don't recommend it!Honest reviews on VTech Alphabet Apple Electronic Fundamentals of Reading
I read the reviews of this product and purchased the Alphabet Apple for my toddler based on these. Although I think it is a great educational toy and virtually indistructable it definitely isn't terribly useful or helpful for a 2 year old as you claimed. The correct manufacturer age is for 3 yrs. old and up not 2 yrs. as you stated. If the info you provided was correct I probably would have waited a year to get this toy. I think others would too. Otherwise it is a great learning tool.Sunday, September 7, 2014
Best Handy Bible Series - My First Handy Bible Deals
I like this Bible. I have two children, 2 and 4 years of age. I got this Bible and read through it before even showing it to them. I like that all of the stories were told accurately and with details but not too much that it overwhelms the child. After my initial read through, showed it to my children.
Both immediately wanted to 'hold it' and 'carry it'. They loved the handle and the pictures. We sat down and read the stories. They asked questions and it was fun for all of us. We took it slow and talked about each of the stories but it really was perfect for their level of understanding.
I rate this a 5/5. Young children will enjoy this and it is perfect for them.
Thank you to B&B Media for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
The stories are told in a simple format that is easy to read. The stories are perfect to hold the attention of any on the go toddler. This Bible has beautiful illustrations that your little ones will love learning about the truths of God's Word.
My thoughts:
This is a perfect Bible for little ones. What child doesn't love to carry around toys and books? The yellow handle is perfect for little hands. I can think of many toddlers who would love carrying around this Bible.
The most important thing is that you are teaching God's word to them. Why not start early; your toddler can tote their own bible to church with them. Simple sentences retell Bible stories from Genesis to Revelation.
I have read this to my children who are much older a few times already. My not toddler son thinks it should be his Bible. Needless to say it will be a gift to one of my little nieces out of state. This would make a perfect baby shower gift for any expecting mother. This is a delightful Bible that will be a blessing to any child up to three years old.

This is a great little book for toddlers who love mimicking Mom and Dad by taking their own "Bible" to Church! It has a nice sturdy little handle on the back for easy carrying and a Child friendly latch to keep it closed. I like that the handle is on the spine so the pages hang down even if the clasp were to break off the Bible would still hang in the right position when carried.
I also love the card board pages which will hold up to little fingers learning to sit and turn pages. Perfect child friendly size to fit their little laps and hands. A great teaching aid.
The one thing that lowered this to a 4 star instead of a 5 in my opinion was that, as it tells each story in two or three lines for the toddlers (which is great)it doesn't give a verse to read to them to go along with it. It is called My First Handy "BIBLE" but doesn't have Bible verses in it. I think this would be a very important addition to the book.
I received this book from B&B Media for my personal opinion and honest review. I have been honest and straight forward in my opinions.
The story:
This is a Bible story book, sharing "classic" Bible stories, from creation to the birth of Jesus, etc..
The illustrations:
The pictures in this book are very different for a children's book. Not the highest quality, and not the cutest.
How strong is the book?
This is a pretty sturdy little book, and seems like it will hold up quite well.
Who the book is for:
Babies and toddlers, through preschoolers, even.
What I liked:
The padded cover, plastic handle, and overall way that the book is made.
Includes quite a few Bible stories.
I like that each story includes the reference to where it is found in the Bible.
What I didn't like:
There are a few mistakes, such as David taking "well" care of sheep, instead of "good".
One story tells of how people wanted Jesus to be their king, but he only wanted to be their friend I don't see how this is biblically based.
Overall, this book is pretty poorly written.
My conclusion:
I really wanted to like this book, but I found that I didn't.
I give My First Handy Bible 2 out of 5 stars.

Reviews of Skull Model
Ordered this skull when I was having problems learning all the aspects of the skull for my A & P class. My professor said it was as good as some of the schools models which cost him $400 and I only spent around $30!!!! I highly recommend this company also! I needed the skull ASAP for a test and they had it shipped within the hour after I placed my order!
Also, it freaks out the very few people that I actually invite into my office area. It would be spooky anywhere but in my work space.

Seriously, I've never owned a real human skull besides the one I'm currently using to store my awesome brain in right now, but this is something with more normal dimensions and although it is imperceptibly gender neutral, it is a great reference tool when working from my drafting table. Also, it freaks out the very few people that I actually invite into my office area. Ring Flash Cards Spanish/English Review
I got this for my son and husband. My husband wants to learn Spanish, so I thought this was a neat way to educate him and our 1 year old. The illustrations are simple and beautiful and we can easily flip through each flash card like a simple story book. My only complaint is that these aren't plastic coated. While my son enjoys 'reading' the flashcards with us he is still of an age where he puts things in his mouth. These are cardboard and don't hold up so well to toddler chewing. My daughter knows a little Spanish. She could not wait to get her hands on these cards. She did not put it down until she mastered them. They were really fun which made it seem less like a chore. I also like that her baby brother can't spill them everywhere and wrinkle them. I'm here to look for similar ones!

Cheap KLOO's Learn to Speak French Language Card Games Pack 1 (Decks 1
I bought this directly from the company site because Amazon US doesn't yet offer extension packs 3 & 4. The purchase was a gift for a bright 13-year old girl who has had just a bit of exposure to French before. She enjoyed playing it alone and with some French-speaking grown-ups (including me). It's great because most of the intro language books available just give students some vocabulary without helping them to build sentences. And plowing through grammar charts is boring for many, especially in the beginning of learning a new language. Games like Kloo are important to break this psychological barrier and give the student a feeling of actually speaking with confidence. It's also one of the rare language learning tools suitable for the "young adult" students who have outgrown children's intro books but find college-level textbooks too intimidating. At any age, language learning should be fun, or it doesn't work. In this case, it was definitely fun. We'll be looking forward to additional extension packs, with more words/verb forms (including other tenses, for example). I'm glad to see this listed on Amazon US as it's easier to purchase & will be recommending other language packs (e.g.Spanish and Italian) to my co-workers.
One neat twist is that because you are building sentences out of words at random, you assemble pretty silly sentences. This reminds me of the very funny game "You've Been Sentenced" in that respect. We have fun hamming it up as we pronounce the silly sentences in our best French accent.
Bottom line: my kids (10 and 8) and I had fun and learned quite a few French words! Definitely a worthwhile product.
We had a blast! It was a little challenging at first since we are very new to French but now we realize how much we have learned when days later we are remembering the words from playing the game. They stick in your brain! I should add that the words on the cards are useful and are needed for everyday language which is very important to us.
I highly recommend this game for anyone new to the language and needing a fun and interesting way to learn it.

Having been rubbish at school at learning languages I was a bit sceptical of learning French using the kloo game, but have been proven wrong! Four friends and I are travelling to Europe to celebrate one of the groups 50th birthday, I set myself the challenge of learning French. Whilst others in the group have been going to weekly Italian night classes I have used only the Kloo cards and have been thrilled. I'm remembering the words, I'm able to string together sentences, I've had a lot of fun my 17 year old daughter actually wants to play it with me rather than me having to bribe her! There are heaps of games which you can play on your own, with someone else or with a group, we've also made up our own games and rules. I'm now going to get packs 3 & 4 and am looking forward to learning even more.Best Deals for KLOO's Learn to Speak French Language Card Games Pack 1 (Decks 1
I have long thought that playing a game would be the perfect way of learning a language. However I have searched high and low and found almost nothing. I was excited when I finally found Kloo. The game has an innovative approach. You build sentences by combining cards. Each card represents 1 word and additionally defines 1 (different) word. So your brain maintains that sense of curiousness about the word that helps you seek out and remember its meaning. You search other cards for the definition of this word. The main 2 areas for improvement of this game are (1) that players can take a long time to make their sentence. We solved this by requiring players to make their sentence before their turn. (2) Since we really knew no French at all, I had no idea how to pronounce the words. The cards do print a pronunciation so really this is not an issue but I found it helpful to install the excellent free app on my smartphone called Google Translate. This app is great because it can speak words to you. We also used Google Translate to help us have an immersive experience. We looked up the French for "your turn" and "this word means".One neat twist is that because you are building sentences out of words at random, you assemble pretty silly sentences. This reminds me of the very funny game "You've Been Sentenced" in that respect. We have fun hamming it up as we pronounce the silly sentences in our best French accent.

Honest reviews on KLOO's Learn to Speak French Language Card Games Pack 1 (Decks 1
I've been wanting to improve my French for a while now, so when my daughter (homeschooled) asked me to help her learn French, I was pretty excited. I've taken classes in high school and in college, but the best way I've been able to learn the language is by using it, and KLOO is a wonderful way to just jump in and start speaking French to each other. One of my main problems was figuring out French word order, which is often different from English, so this is helping me greatly as the whole game is about putting sentences together. Even better, my daughter and I are both learning at our own levels, yet using the same game! She's learning her vocabulary so much faster than she would have with traditional ways of learning, because she wants to do better each game. As she learns a word, she gets more points. I just can't say enough about these cards!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for KLOO's Learn to Speak French Language Card Games Pack 1 (Decks 1

Not a very expensive risk but still a risk because we did not see it in our local stores or knew of any friends who owned them so that we could try the game out first. We had a blast! Buy Genes in a Bottle - DNA Necklace Kit
My teens "experimented" their kit last night and had a blast. Easy to use, and in less than a hour they had their own DNA necklaces, which they can't wait to bring to school today. Although they were more interested in the necklace than the descriptive DNA science, the science lab process to make the necklace proved to be much more than a toy. Highly recommended!
