This is my son's second favorite chew. (He prefers the P-shaped chew.) I would give this one five stars, but it can be used as a whistle by very curious kids, and is therefore a little annoying at times. :) Otherwise, great product.

I bought this chewey for one of my students who was chewing up all the pencils in the room. He really likes it because it's not too hard and it provides lots of oral input. The downside is that it whistles and can be disruptive during class time and it's super slobbery. I'm off to find a new one that is not hollow and collects saliva like a trumpet.

Of all of the Christmas presents for my 8 month old, this is his favorite. He's teething and will chew on this for 30 minutes at a time. It is smaller than I expected. It is the size of my palm, not my whole hand. It is easy for my baby (with low muscle tone) to hold on to this and yet it is big enough that he can't gag himself with it as he does some other toys. He enjoys picking at the nubs on the handle. A really great product!

My three year old Grandson loves this toy. He easily get stressed out and uses this to chew on. It is hollow, moderately soft, and rugged. He loves the feel of the texture as he chews on it. Just be sure to rinse it off occasionally to keep it clean.

My son likes this toy quite a bit. A little young to appreciate everything about it at 10 months, he nonetheless likes the music, bright colors, and spinning motion, which he is able to activate whether he intends to or not. He also likes to knock it over and bang it on the floor, and it's sturdy enough to take the punishment. Based on these things alone I would give it five stars, but I wish the sound was better. The digital voice isn't crystal clear, and sounds a bit like Shelly Marsh from South Park (only more personable). My wife and I initially struggled for a few minutes to understand everything it was singing. Perhaps this is only a flaw with the one we have. Still, when ours says "the octopus is pink" and so forth it's clear enough, and I still recommend it. It's a cute toy.

A minor criticism applicable to almost every child's toy or garment featuring a decapod: I don't know whether there actually are pink octopuses or bright yellow starfish, but where we live the image of a red crab or lobster on a toy is slightly disturbing, as around here it indicates that the poor creature is deceased and ready to be doused in Old Bay seasoning. Our crabs are blue, and one could be forgiven for calling them brown or green or a few other less-enjoyable colors. Now, given the cute smile on this red crab, it's obviously one of those Christmas Island red crabs and very much alive (or else it died very happy). Christmas Island crabs seem to be the favorites when it comes to childrens' toys and clothing, along with those happy tropical red lobsters. But once, just once, it would be nice to see a toy where the crab is blue, brown, green, etc.

The economy has been tough for the past couple of years. I had to decide whether or not I should let my kids attend an expensive daycare this summer versus me cutting back work hours to be at home with them and save $750. We adjusted our household budget and for the summer I decided to homeschool my 4 and 5 year old sons. We went to the dollar stores and collected the appropriate supplies and then I got online and searched for supplemental educational resources, and BINGO! I decided to purchase 'THINKING KIDS MATH GRADE K', since my oldest was set to begin Kindergarten. I consulted with several people with early education backgrounds, and they always pointed out that we as a society don't put enough emphasis on numbers, from recognizing numbers to actually counting things. Most kids at that age (I know there are some exceptions)have memorized their numbers through recital and repetition. Well, this kit has many colorful, laminated, and well-illustrated worksheets that take learning math a step further beyond what our kids may or may not already know and understand. I have definitely noticed a difference in the way they see, think, and perceive the things around us. After a couple of days of reviewing the lessons, they were counting and adding things everywhere, from cars on the highway to the peas on their plates! This set is a great jumpstart and asset to any kid's early education. It requires dry erase markers and an eraser, so make sure you purchase those.

As a teacher, I have to say that I LOVE my Radius. I recently purchased one on Ebay and the set included the Radius system, the Blends and Diagraph cd card set, and the Long Vowel cd card set...all for $150! This to me is a must have in any classroom. The features that I love are 1.) You can use the Radius as a standard cd player as well 2.) The cards a sturdy and durable and in any event if one of the cards became damaged, you can still us the Radius to locate the card 3.) It comes in this really nice carrying case to prevent damage 4.) The cd sets are made for different grade levels 5.) It's very simple for children to use 6.) In each card set there are teacher notes that explain varies ways of presenting the skill to the students 7.) In each set there is an answer key...so you can follow along with students and assess their answers 8.) It's a great informal testing tool 9.) It's great for small group instruction, independent practice and centers 10.) All the cards in any set you purchase are numbered in order and the key lets you know the answers and what words the students will learn on each card 11.) There are review cards after all of the lessons 12.) You can use up to four headphones or use speakers 13.) The look, listen, write and speak cards have the students to look at the words, listen to how the words are pronounced and sound (phonics), write the words on paper, and my favorite is the speak/record feature. This allows students to record how they sound when pronouncing words 14.) You can buy sets that fit your classroom needs

I was quite surprised when I opened the box, I thought it was going to be a small device, but it is large with easy to see functions...overall, I think that this is one of my best educational purchases I've purchased in awhile. The students love it and it's hands-on which makes it more enjoyable. The Radius and cd card sets are pricey but your money will be well spent!

One more thing...this is listed as a toy, it's not, it's an educational resource tool for teachers or parents

This is a good assortment of LEDs of various sizes and types. They're even organized into individual baggies like other Elenco kits, although there's little labeling of them -not that there's much need, for the most part you can tell exactly what you're looking at by, well, looking at it. The ones that do need labeling -such as the blinking LEDs -are labeled, so you can easily drop these baggies into your other electronics components and ditch the box without losing anything.

The one fault is that none of the LEDs have spec sheets provided, nor even model numbers to find them online. For my purposes -general tinkering and experimentation -this isn't a problem, but if for any reason you have to know exactly how much voltage is required or something, you're better off buying the LEDs you need elsewhere.

My daughter has the whole set of these Flashcars (School Bus, Airplane, Fire Engine and Recycling Truck) and they are fantastic! We are a homeschooling family and I got these to help my early reader do some independent activities while I am busy with something else. He enjoys putting them together, saying the words and sentences and then making his own by mixing up some of the letters.

It is a 2 sided puzzle. One side is the word, the other side is a silly sentence. The sentence part is by far the biggest hit. It comes in a nice case to keep them together and to protect them and they are thickly made so they look like they should last a while.

I got these when they were marked down super low, so they were a great value to us and a great extension to our school day. We got both the long and short vowel set.

There are many silly sentences depending on the pairings of the cards. It is funny, but we cannot play more than 10-15 minutes before he gets bored.

You get 3 cards for each number. The pictures are interesting but not overpowering. We are trying to teach the concept of numbers, so having the numeric, and alphabetic representation of the number along with a picture of that many items is great. Because they have 3 of each, the child will not confused the number with the item. Highly recommended. I bought 4 sets of flash cards and these are the most educational. There are ones that are prettier but that's not what I bought them for. My only suggestion is thicker card stock and laminated. (Which I'm going to do with our laminator.)

Well, I guess I have only myself to blame. I so badly wanted a Charles Krauthammer magnet to round out my collection of Mendacious, Quasi-Psychopathic, Hateful Conservative Columnist Magnets®. Now, we all know that Mr. Krauthammer would likely approve of his magnets being made by child slaves,* but I was hoping for a top-of-the-line magnet, not one made with some unidentifiable radioactive magnetic alloy that irradiated my food to levels inconsistent with safe consumption. I found myself faced with the choice of living with my incomplete collection of Mendacious, Quasi-Psychopathic, Hateful Conservative Columnist Magnets® or going without refrigerated food. It was a hard choice, but I ended up tossing my imitation Charles Krauthammer refrigerator magnet. I know that it may well be years before I can get that last, elusive conservative icon on my refrigerator door, but this is a burden I have learned to live with.
