Fits great. Replaced a leaking piece with this one, It tightens down nice, fits other fittings nice as well. I would have liked a hose attachment end instead of a screw attachment but couldn't find one.

I was SO excited to get this for my son. He is obsessed with the states right now and loves puzzles... I thought this would be the perfect gift for him! When he opened it, he was so thrilled that he didn't even want to look at any of the other presents, but once he started putting it together he became very frustrated. The pieces wouldn't stay together!! Even the adults couldn't get the pieces to stay. He refused to play with it anymore because he didn't like the fact that every time he would touch it, it would fall apart. Worst design ever. This is going to be returned.

We leave this set out on a table, and my 4yo loves it! I particularly like that it's a puzzle first, in addition to the electronic side of it. The 2 different sides give her a variety of learning opportunities. We don't have many electronic games in the house, so I admit that setting up the TAG pen was a bit of a challenge (and you do have to buy the pen separately). I expect someday we'll get the World Map.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! I'm a big fan of LeapFrog Tag merchandise in general, but how cool that they have broadened the use of the Tag pen beyond books?! The map is really neat, has games as well as great educational info, and I love that it is 2 sided. One side is more of a topographical terrain map, and the other side makes the state borders clear. The only complaint I have is that the pieces come apart easily during use. I think if the pieces were a bit thicker and hefty they would stay together better. This wasn't enough for me to take a star off, though.

When I ordered this globe, I didn't realize it was a kit to put together and paint. My 9 y/o was very excited to do it. It was very easy to put together and came with several colors of paint to choose from. It even included some glow in the dark paint, which works great!

I really like the idea of having the moon attached. It helps my child see why they moon appears to follow us. We were also able to use it to show how the latest solar eclipse took place!

This globe is smaller and doesn't have the detail of the continents or states or even the oceans, BUT i like that it doesn't take up a lot of space! I would recommend a map for the details. The product is very durable too, not cheap plastic.

I recently ordered the Earth and Moon model kit; it arrived intact, and was easy to assemble. Paint was also provided, along with a brush. If you wish to paint the earth and moon components, I recommend getting a better small acrylic detail brush. The one included with the kit is not worth using. The other issue to deal with is figuring out how to paint the model earth and moon. There really are no roadmaps for this...the images in the kit and on the cover are the only clues. They help, but you will probably have to do some further research. The flyer with explanations of moon phases et al was ok. Not great, but ok for a kit of this nature.

Despite my reservations, I still liked the kit and ended up with a quite decent product after I painted it. (I am a professional artist, so that is an advantage, but anyone can paint this kit fairly decently). I recommend it...but be careful with it. It is not robust. Doesn't fall apart, but a rambunctious child could do it in pretty easily.

This looked so promising to me. The phonics games you can create out of it are endless, however, the quality isn't that great. The lids don't fit properly on many of the cans and some of them are dented a bit (they are only made out of cardboard). The letters/pictures aren't the best quality either...they have wrinkles and bends in the carboard. I'm not thrilled with the quality of it, but I love the idea of it.

I just bought this toy for my 2 1/2 year old and we both absolutely love it. We have been working on her ABC's for awhile but she is struggling with the letter recognition. As a preschool teacher in an inclusion class I am always looking for a new game or toy that will motivate the children to learn, keep their attention and can be used by students who range in age and ability. I have purchased activities similar to this, but they have not been durable or have had tiny pieces that were a choking hazard.

The Alphabet Soup Sorters are fantastic!

The pictures of real objects are easy to identify. The material they pictures are printed on is durable. The size of the pictures are perfect for little hands.

Younger children can match the letters to the cans or work on naming objects.

Older students can identify the letter the objects begin with or can sort the

pictures by beginning letter sound. It is self correcting because the words are on the back of every photo. Thanks Learning Resources for making a great product!

These cans are very sturdy, but the tops can be a little difficult for weak hands to get off. The cardboard pictures are pretty good (there is always a capital letter and lowercase letter and about 4-5 images). I am thinking of putting small objects in for more of a tactile experience.

First the bad, as others have noticed, this stains like mad and the container does not pour well. It also stinks to high heavens as well.

But wow is it neat! I used a 1/2 inch neodymium magnet and put about 15-20 ml in a plastic food container. (Glad brand thin plastic resealable food container, like cheap thin tupperwear) Putting the magnet under the container produces immediate results. You can make the fluid flow uphill, and so much more.

It is a rather expensive gag/novelty item, but very neat to play with..

My daughter has the whole set of these Flashcars (School Bus, Airplane, Fire Engine and Recycling Truck) and they are fantastic! I believe Brainy Baby has discontinued them (I would have no idea why) as I got the first two at Tuesday Morning store and then the other two here on Amazon. My daughter seems to really love these and plays with the vehicles as toys and uses the flashcards stored on the back for learning with Mom. These are plastic pieces that show how the shape would look if it was unfolded and flat. That is useful, but you can't actually fold them to make the shape. I didn't realize that when I bought them, and re-reading the description, I don't think it is very clear. The title should perhaps be changed from "Overhead Folding Geometric Shapes" to "Overhead Unfolded Geometric Shapes".

I have to agree with HomeSchooler100 in a separate review. The description is misleading. The pieces are described as folding, but do not. This is a companion set to the folding shapes and helps teach how shapes fold without actually folding.

I already owned the folding geometric shapes and just received the overhead shapes as a gift. I am pleased with the quality of the product. Each piece is made of hard durable plastic/acrylic. The manufacturer made each piece color coordinated with the transparent icon (each on a square piece) so that the teacher can help students see the "net" and match it to the 3-D shape. The teacher can have students view the "unfolded" (net) shape and then select the 3-D prism or cylinder with which it corresponds. Each face is easy to identify. I wasn't sure if it would be necessary to have these since I already own the actual folding shapes Learning Resources Folding Geometric Shapes made by the same company, but the two products work so well together. Definitely worth the money!

My title is "Cute not scary" because I know some children are startled easily by Jack-in-the-box type toys. This is mostly because of the loud noise they make when they POP up out of the box. My husband STILL winces when turning the crank on a jack-in-the-box due to past trauma (lol).

I was rather pleasantly surprised when we received ours to find that the noise made when the caterpillar pops up isn't loud at all. It's the quietest jack-in-the-box toy I've ever seen really. So it's good for small kids. I don't think it would frighten them like other loud ones might.

It plays the traditional song all of these play. Of course it is extremely cute too. It matches our baby's nursery theme which is why I purchased it.

Just a word of advice watch the price on this one. I noticed it tends to fluctuate between $15 all the way up to $24.99.

We love this toy. It is well made and very reminiscent of the caterpillar in the book (that was the main reason we got it... if it hadn't looked this great we'd have passed it by). almost all pull toys these days have strings that are way too short (laibility issues... sigh). we have several pull toys with too short strings. we just tie a longer string on and it works fine.

I bought this as an accompaniment to the classic book. I was really really hoping the body of the caterpillar would inch around or do something interesting with a bit of noise when it is dragged around. I didn't see any info pertaining to that, but I went ahead and took a small rist buying it. I found out that the only parts that move are the wheels. The green segmented body can be twisted around, but if you invert the position, then it prevents the caterpillar from moving at all because the middle of the body will be lower than the wheels. I can see its a decently made toy, with pretty good quality. I liked the fuzzy antena, but overall, I would not buy this again!

My 25 month old daughter loves this kit. We skipped the Grasshopper 1&2 for several reasons (if there were lowercase letters on the "fish" I would have still bought it to use as letter sound reinforcement). So I looked at the 3rd kit and decided to try it.

We have used the stampers, mini crayons, and the frog with the bugs. She LOVES them.

Really, asks for the frog daily. She is able to do it as the frog is not too difficult for her to squeeze. The bugs are so cute too. I place her hands on the frog to be sure she can squeeze effectively then she does it alone while I am watching to make sure a bug doesn't go in the wrong mouth :)

The stampers are great with their supplied dough (odd consistency with a scent) or with our homemade play-dough, we use them on both. She holds the stampers as suggested in the suppled resource book for parents (I placed her fingers the first time).

The mini crayons are like broken crayons but the great thing is that every one has a point (unlike when you use broken crayons). They force correct finger placement... though my daughter initially found a way to not use the correct placement, once I showed her how to hold it she used them correctly.

Also included in the kit are cute reusable (seem durable) stickers and a background scene (We use regular stickers on paper taped to an easel for the same effect but I don't think she is quite ready to make the "scene"). Pealing off and placing stickers on an upright surface apparently helps reinforce and work writing muscles in the fingers.

HINT: The Grasshopper website has other ideas/ways you can make supplies and use these supplies.

One of the ideas they suggested was using liquid glue on easy coloring pages to trace the lines (an adult does this) then once it is dry, the children will have a "bumper" to help with coloring in the lines.

Reminder: The kit is designed for children over 3, you know your child and if they still put things in their mouth (this kit would not work for an oral child). I also watch her carefully while she is using the materials just in case.

I am thinking about buying kit 4!

I bought this after reading a review online. Without a doubt, it is a very nice, easy to use educational kit. I like the all in one features everything is ready to go in the case. It's good quality and has stood up to my youngest 2 active boys. Their favorite part by far is the fishing game, with the gel letter sheet being a close second. I personally think it's a little overpriced for what you get, but we do like & have used it for the past 2 months.

I bought this kit for my almost 3 year old daughter as she has been showing interest in letters and words. I'm disappointed. The quality is not great (definitely a "Made in China" quality). The fish were scuffed and scratched out of the box and one letter was almost completely scratched off the fish. The gel is stiff and not maneuverable for my daughter's small fingers (hardly for mine!). The static cling "stickers" ripped off the sheet are just plain cheap. Yes, the all-in-one case is nice and the activities are educational, but I just think it's way overpriced for what you get. Almost all of the activities included can be made at home in some way. My advice is do some research online and make your own kit!

We have a few of these kits. I can say roughly the same thing about all of them:

1. The materials are cheaply made. It's the kind of thing where the stickers come off with the backing attached, the crayons are too waxy, and the play doh is dried up.

2. There is alway one activity my son LOVES(in this version it's the froggy head) and a few that are nothing outside if what the average parent would have(crayons or playdoh)

3. Some kits come in a nice plastic box and some are in cardboard boxes.

Overall these are nice for a rainy day IF you find them 50% off at BN. Otherwise it would be easy to make your own rainy day kit.
