When my boys were younger (now 36 and 38yrsold), I loved playing educational games with them. This happened to be one of them I was elated to find it again They do not recall the games we played back then, but they do remember the many good times we shared playing these games as they grew up. With my grandchildren being 5 and 8-years-old and with attending "Grandparents Day" at their school for them and their older sister all these years, I have watched and I sew where the teacher needed help with teaching our children/grandchildren needs help instilling the basics of Math, help with their writing skills, and many other skills our children will use throughout life, etc. The 8-year-old received this game for Christmas and has already played it with mom and dad with a little help on multiplying and dividing. Our 5-year-old grandson even sat on mom's lap and they worked as a team, since he does not know how to multiply or divide as of yet. This is one game that the whole family played, enjoyed, and the 8-year-old and the 5-year-old are learning the basics of math at a much quicker pace, so when they eventually go into the higher elements of Math, the more difficult parts of the problem will come easier, because the basic parts of the problem you know so well that you do know even have to think about it, it just comes to your mind as soon as you ask the question. I would truly recommend this game to anyone who has children/grandchildren . It is a little expensive. but it is worth every penny if you enjoy playing games with your children/grandchildren , and you would like to give them a chance to go to the head of the class in Math skills . Enjoy, teach and learn from this game.

I prefer my iron filings by the kilo, but this was all the dealer had. The nice thing about iron filings is that you can get neodymium magnets fused to your nasal cavity to keep yourself from inhaling the finer particles. I haven't quite figured out how to scrape off the build-up, but the environment tends to oxidize the material severely reducing it's magnetic qualities. My kids love it but unfortunately the main tube of the rocket is made from a plastic that is not very sturdy and ours shattered after it hit the hardwood floor. This is not a problem if the rocket never hits the ground. Maybe always use it over grass...but what kid is going to do that? It is ironic that the air tube that connects to the base is threaded and prevents the separation you would expect from an inexpensive toy. The light is a little hard to turn on if you don't know precisly where to press. Other than that it is pretty cool but would not recommend for under 4 years old as your kid needs some weight and leg power to be able to stomp with enough force to get the rocket airborn.

The first one we got was missing the stand, Amazon sent us a new one and it worked great until it got stepped on. The yellow tube is a hard plastic that is brittle and will break if too much pressure is applied. If you don't step on it you should be fine but we only got to play with ours for a couple weeks.

I purchased this drum set for my daughter for Christmas, and was dissapointed to find that I couldnt choose the color. I called Vintage Drum directly and a very nice gentleman was able to change my order on the spot. I received excellent customer service and my order arrived extremely quickly.

My nephew was very interested in my husband's drums and showed amazing rhythmic talent for a three year old. We wanted to get him a toddler drum set of his own for his fourth birthday. We both remembered the low quality toddler drums of the past and wanted to get him something really nice. After research on the web, we choose the TKO set. We were not disappointed. The set is of very high quality and was a snap to put together. It has wood shells and real, tuneable drum heads. Our nephew loves it and amazed everyone at his birthday party with his drumming talent. The set should definitely last him for several years until he is ready to move onto a larger one.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 6-year old son. It has been a hit with all three of my kids.

The quality is exceptional, considering this is a youth kit. The features are very similar to a pro kit including wood shells, stainless hardware with drum key, real heads (not paper) and a chain drive foot pedal. The hardware (snare and throne stand) are of very good quality. The disappointment would be the cheaper cymbal that was included in the kit.

Vintage Drum proved to be an easy transaction, even sending ahead an e-mail confirming shipment and assembly instructions (although they sent links to the wrong kit). Nevertheless, it was the holidays and I'm sure they were busy.

I got this for my daughter when she was around a year old. She loved it immediately! The arrow was very easy for her to turn and press. It works just like all the See nSays, where you turn the arrow and then press it and you hear a little song. In this case, it's always the Elmo theme song, but with each picture, the end of the song changes. For instance, one picture is bath bubbles, so you hear the beginning of Elmo's song (only a few seconds) and then it ends with whah whah whah (supposed to sort of sound like singing underwater). I think the 4 pictures and sounds are bubbles, crayons, I think an instrument and one other (my daughter's 3 now and hasn't played with this for awhile, though I'm sure if I pulled it out she'd still love it).

My daughter is the one who figured out that if you press the arrow 3 or 4 times, it'll play the whole song with all the different sound effects. It has a great plastic ring that allows you to strap the toy to most strollers and toy bars. The volume is just right (it doesn't have a volume switch), not too loud or annoying, but loud enough to make baby happy. This toy was so popular with my daughter and her friends, that I often had to loan it out to stop screaming fits at the end of play dates.

If your child is an Elmo fan, you cannot go wrong with this toy!

I usually avoid Elmo products, but my daughter is a fan and I thought this would be good for on the go. It is easy to use, but each of the 4 positions have the same abbreviated version of the Elmo "la la la la, la la la la" song with the only variety being in the different noise that comes where the "Elmo's World" part would come. These are a bubble noise, a horn noise, a phone ring, and a marker writing noise. The difference is very subtle, and not very interesting.

Bought this nine months ago for my 9 year old daughter with her quantum pad. She wasn't too crazy about the quantum pad we got her for Christmas last year until I bought her this book for it. She loves it! It is the hit of the car whenever I take her friends somewhere.

Although it may not be as "educational" as other books for the Quantum Pad, it still makes her think fast and answer quick problem-solving. I MUCH prefer my kids to play this over Gameboy mind numbing games for the car.

AGES: Perfect for 6-10 year olds. My 11 year boy likes to play once in a while and even my 4 year old gets a kick out of playing!

I got this for my friend who is going to school so I will let her write this review. I am pleased with my Skeleton. He came to me unbroken and easy to put together. He's very helpful in my Anatomy and potioning class for Radiology. The only thing that I would have liked different is to have his joints move a bit more freely and to be able to take him apart to visulize the different sections better. Although the item fits the description and usefulness, it arrives at my home with (pardon the pun) a broken bone. The joint piece where the forearm connects to the upper arm bone was broken and could not be held on by the metallic join. it is a smaller joining, which makes it difficult and annoying for a such a small repair. however I would say it is a great item, it serves its purpose and aside from that break, it is worth it if your using it for studying or basic teaching. I basic teaching because the precise structures are not entirely accurate. although it is well worth what we paid for it.

This is such a great toy. I am very picky about the toys I buy for my 2year old. I look for things that require her to use her imagination and be creative. She loves setting up the houses and making little cities and engaging the animals in stories she comes up with. The boxes are very sturdy and the animals are cute.

The animals and the blocks are wonderfully designed. I love that every animal is represented on the block it goes with. The animals are definitely among my babie's favorite toys.

My only problem is that the blocks are made of sturdy cardboard, and baby gnaws on them real bad. At 17 months, she still does it, and most of the time I just put the blocks away, only give them to her every now and then. Even though, they already look pretty bad by now, and I don't really like having to go into my baby's mouth to take out the printed cover of the blocks or pieces of cardboard. The recommended age is 18 months, so I did give them to her too soon, my mistake; but still, I doubt my baby will be over putting stuff in her mouth in a month from now.

I would definitely recommend this toy for 2 years old and up.

My son Collin is ten, and has Down Syndrome and Autism. HE functions on an 18 to 36 month old level, and he is very hard to find toys for. You should have seen his eyes light up and heard his squeals of laughter when Scout said "Hi Collin"! Not only has this toy held up (Collin tends to be hard on his toys) but the value to him has been immense! While I know this toy is meant for 'younger' children, given the developmental delay my son has, and the challenges that come with it, I would recommend My Pal Scout to ANYONE for their child. This is by far one of the best toys I have evern seen, and brings to mind the old "Teddy Ruxpin" dolls. Got this for my son when he turned 6 months old and he hasn't put it down since. He gets so excited when it says his name. His name is not very common so I was happy that it was one of the many options. I love that you can customize so many of the sayings and songs so that it is tailored to your child.

I have twins and rather than getting my daughter Violet, we decided to try the Fisher Price learning dog and I regret the purchase. Scout is so much better with many more songs, words and sayings, plus it is personalized. I bought this as a gift for many friends and highly recommend it for any baby.

I have no idea why everyone is being so picky here. These flashcards are amazing. Love that they are hard laminated paper, my kid isn't able to chew or rip them apart. Also, love that they have real pictures and not cartoons. Sure, there are a couple words that you don't see often like the Urchin and Vulture but I personally like my son to learn new things and not see the same dang animals on all of his toys. After the alphabet it has the numbers and then the shapes and colors. Such a great value and a low price for what it's worth. My son has me go through it with him many times a day and really enjoys it. I would recommend this to all of my Mommy friends.

I found this pretty well priced item a great and must have set of ringed flash cards. It has colors, numbers and very cute pictures of animals and objects. My 16th month old goes through them while in the car seat, naming each item on the flash cards, counting and learning the colors. It will keep them busy for sure and at the same time it's teaching them.

I was really disappointed when these flash cards arrived. I didn't realize they had changed the design. Previously the ABC collection was standard, simple and basic (Apple, Cat, House) and now it is definetly has a animal emphasis and I personally think the pictures are kind of ugly and unattractive. 0 = Owl (but the owl is orange with dark brown spots where's the pretty owl?) Z=Zebra (but in the picture it looks like the zebra has been rolling in the mud all day with brownish strips) I=Iguana, U=Urchin, V=Vulture Kind of a creepy alphabet right......and here's the weirdest one X=X-ray fish and there is a fish skeleton as see through an x-ray. I like to help my daughter learn the alphabet with items she's likely to see in her everyday activities and I don't think we'll be seeing any vultures, urchins or x-ray fish anytime soon....even as pictures in other books. Oh, and as stated by another reviewer the pages are hard to turn!!

I bought these for my then 18 month old daughter. I have had them 2 1/2 months. I love that crayon wipes off of them. I love that they are small and easily portable. I love the pictures, the fact that the complete alphabet, plus numbers 1-10, and shapes and colors are in this toy. My daughter LOVES them and they have kept her busy and learning even in the emergency room. She's not even two yet and already knows most of her letters and numbers from playing with this together. For the price, they are great. That being said,today one of the rings broke and there are tiny pieces that are a definite choking hazard!!! I would strongly recommend you only play with these together. Also, it's only been a short time and the pages are ripping off.We have not been rough with these in any way. They need to be strengthened at the holes. I am probably going to break the other ring and put them on plastic links or something. Disappointed in the quality.

The Haba line of pacifier chains are top notch! We've had 3 different types, and I'm impressed with each. One we've had for over a year and it's begun to stretch out a little bit. The clasp is not as tight but still works well. Occasionally, I'll pop these in the dishwasher if they need a deep clean. I have gotten so many compliments from these. I've even had to order a couple for other people. They look amazing. Note: some haba chains are short and some are long, make sure you check the dimensions!

We used this chain pretty heavily for about 3 months. However, after repeated washing, the wood has started to split and crack and it can no longer be used.

The paint has faded a tad from constant gnawing, but my daughter loves this pacifier chain. It is also very cute.

I like that it is long enough that it rarely gets caught up so that she can't get her binky to her mouth, and short enough that it doesn't tangle. The clip is sturdy and we use it every day. She can always find her binky to put it back in her mouth.

My only minor complaint might be that it is a pain to get a binky on and off, you have to loop it through the chain itself... but it isn't enough to make me mark it down... this chain has been a lifesaver.

I love all our Haba toys (thank you, friends + family) and when I needed a binky-chain this was the one for us. Adorable design, solid, and simple to use. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for. Still works nine months later and no failings with the clasp, the string threaded through the wooden beads, the beads, all of it still as good as new. Baby liked teething on the beads a bit. Best of all, I wanted a chain that would be long enough to clip straight down on her clothes so she wouldn't risk any strangling and wouldn't fiddle with the clasp. This was the one! Sadly we are now broken of our binky habit but I still carry the beads and am thinking of threading a rattle or other toy, or using it with a snack trap to keep from getting thrown on the floor while in transit.
