Reviews of Sonor Small Soprano Chromatic Glockenspiel
I wanted a well-tuned glockenspiel with beautiful bell tones and found it in this lovely instrument. It's the perfect size to carry with me to classrooms and sing to children, playing it on my lap while using it to enhance the performance of Singable Picture Books like "There's a Train Out for Dreamland" and "The Big Bell and the Little Bell." It's also a wonderful little instrument for helping "explain" musical concepts with sound since it contains all the notes you need. This is a lovely perfect little instrument, exactly what I need.

Buy Magnetic Fishing Playset
My son turned 2 a couple months ago and became really interested in fishing. I wanted to get him a fishing toy, but when I looked at other products, it was hard to tell if it would work for a child so small. I was extremely happy with my choice.
-4 fishing poles are solid and do not wind, so they do not break easily or tangle
there are plenty of fish, making it easier for my toddler to "catch" one
all pieces are waterproof and dry easily
We have played with this set outside in a large bucket and in the bathtub. Very happy with this product.
The toy itself is very sturdy, and the magnets on the ends of both the fish and the fishing poles are pretty strong, so when kids actually "hook" a fish, they can lift up the pole and show off their catch. We haven't put it in the water yet, but I've seen our friend's set in the water, and the fish are weighted to point upwards to make it easier to connect them to the poles.
The only issue we've had is that my daughter likes to swing the fishing poles around (whether there's a fish on there or not) but that's not the toy's fault. I'm looking forward to trying this out in the bathtub, and in the wading pool this summer.
UPDATE: This toy is fun in the tub, if you don't use something like Mr. Bubble. Otherwise the bubbles cover up the fish, which makes them harder to find. And the magnets on the end of the fishing poles will stick to a cast iron tub.

This is the cutest little fishing set out there. The fact that it comes with 4 fishing poles makes having to share obsolete. These toys have extremely strong magnets at the end of the fishing pole nylon line and the fish mouths which will make catching a fish pretty easy with good hand eye coordination practice. Only negative I have is I was hoping the reel would move the pole in and out but it doesn't. If you want to shorten the pole you can simply push it in. The product seems very durable and I look forward to watching my boys catch a big one. This will be a Christmas present for my 1 and 3 year old sons to be used in the bath tub and during the summer time in their outdoor pool. I think they are going to love it. My three year old like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and saw me purchasing this item online and said he wanted to go fishing for gooey fish (for those of you out there who know what I'm talking about, I think your kids will enjoy this toy too.)Best Deals for Magnetic Fishing Playset
I bought this for my daughter who is almost 3. Some friends of ours have it, and when we were over there for a play date over the summer she just loved it. We haven't even put it into the bathtub yet, and she has already played with it several times. I bought it as a Daddy/Daughter gift, since my husband loves to fish and is looking forward to taking our little one fishing for the first time this summer. The toy itself is very sturdy, and the magnets on the ends of both the fish and the fishing poles are pretty strong, so when kids actually "hook" a fish, they can lift up the pole and show off their catch. Honest reviews on Magnetic Fishing Playset
I bought the polls and fish for my daughters 4th birthday party. We have a waterfall that has a small pool underneath it, also has a safety net, that we put the fish in. The kids loved going fishing! We also rented a bouncy castle, but the kids spent more time fishing than bouncing. At first I was a little disappointed that the polls don't reel in, but it turns out that these were perfect for the coordination of four year olds. Even the 6 year old boy at the party was loving it. My kids woke up and wanted to go fishing right away, just moved the game to the bath tub. I loved that there are multiple polls and so many fish, and there are several types if fish and different colors. Most of the sets I saw while looking only had one poll and a few of the same fish, would have had to buy several sets to meet my needs, and still wouldn't have been so cute. Highly recommend!! Great for a party game, or just fun at home.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Magnetic Fishing Playset
Kids at my son's birthday party had a great time! Many of the moms were asking where I had purchased this toy. It has held up well so far. The only real complain I have is I don't think the magnet is very strong. You practically have to put the fish on the hook to make it connect...but my son doesn't seem to mind.Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Silly Starters Write-Abouts, 4-8 Review
I got this book for my 10 yr old homeschooling son, who really dislikes writing. Since receiving it he has been enthusiastically filling up a daily journal with ideas started by this book! The book is getting a little worn with all the flipping back and forth to see the silly combinations but it still serves its purpose just fine. I would highly recommend it to all parents/teachers for ways to get even the less-than-enthusiastic writers going! I am actually ordering several of the other books in this series today to get a little more variety in writing types.

Cheap Daisy Rock Rock Candy Electric Guitar, Supersonic Blue
I love this guitar. I play professionally under the name Susan SurfTone. My playing experience goes back over 40 years and I've owned a lot of guitars. The DRG Rock Candy is the one I reach for now for both recording and live performance. I own one and I just bought another. It's that good. The neck is the most comfortable neck I've ever played and the guitar's tone is great. I used it recently at a showcase in LA and got a lot of compliments on its sound and appearance. The Rock Candy is a keeper for sure.

Discount Magnetic Sculpture Block
A fun little "executive toy" that will amuse as well as challenge anyone who picks it up.Young or old, rich or poor, smart or otherwise;this "toy" will amuse just about anyone .It is great to have sitting on your desk to play with when talking on the phone. It is particulary useful when you have to deal with someone on the phone who goes on endlessly, particulary if they are whining and not providing any cheese or crackers;and you can't do anything about their problem.
The thing I like about this item is that there are no rules;unless you want to make some of your own. While the object is to create a sculpture with the little acrobats, there are many ways ,some quite ingenious to get them to stand together, the more precariously, the better. You can try to see how high you can make a sculpture, many ways you can set them up,and even when you figure how to create a particularly intricate or difficult sculpture;you can compete with yourself or even someone ,to see whow fast it can be done. This particular set has 11 acrobats;but if one were to use two sets, even more sculptures would be possible. The addition of more acrobats would allow greater heights to be possible;but that introduces a greater challenge in that the higher the structure gets, the weaker the magnetic force gets, and hence the greater the challenge.
Now that you have mastered the building of sculptures with the acrobats;let your imagination go wild.Anything that is magnetic such as paper clips, tacks, nails nots and bolts, washers, ball bearings, etc.,will provide lots more possibilities and challenges;whether you use them alone or mixed.I tried coins, and found the Canadian quarter, dimes and nickles worked, but not the American coins, and neither pennies worked.
Have fun and next time you get an annoying phone call---use this as stress reliever.
Hey;I just found something else neat to do.Take all the acrobats and stack them together, now carefully set them all on the center of the base, holding them together. Now, quickly remove your fingers and all the acrobats will be displayed ,fanned out,and touching at their feet.Leave them set up this way and when someone sees it,remove the crobats and ask them if they can set them up like they were. With a lot of patience ,they might be successful;then show them how simply it can be done.

I bought this for my 2 yr old daughter. At first I had to help her and give her direction as to how to play with it, but now she likes taking it out herself and playing with/using it. The box is sturdy and all the pieces store nicely inside. If you are looking for an educational and change of pace type of activity this fits the bill! One suggestion would be if the set had more foam pieces for the pegs for when more than one child plays with it.

My child enjoys this toy, especially the tactile feel of the puzzle parts. The pegs are nice and large and stack well together. She is old enough to sit and play a game with it, so it works well for a preschool age group as well as younger kids. This has been great for developing hand-eye coordination and motor skills. I highly recommend this toy, which is made in the USA.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lauri Tall-Stacker Smart Shapes
I ordered this product the for preschool I run and while the kids really enjoy the shapes and putting together the puzzle, the pegs are not compatible with other pegs on the market. We are constantly trying to separate the two different types to prevent frustration and crying. It was a bit of a disappointment when we received the product and discovered we could either 1.) not use the included pegs at all or 2.) we had to find a way to keep them divided. Like I said, the shapes and colors fit perfectly into our lesson plans and even our 2 1/2 year olds love finding the puzzle shapes to fit but the pegs were very disappointing.Tuesday, September 9, 2014

Buy Ertl John Deere Push and Go Truck
This is a fantastic toy. We got for our boy's first birthday. Should have gotten it sooner, because he has been into things with wheels since 9 months old. First thing he plays with at daycare most days is the John Deere truck! When you push the little driver down, this little truck will travel the whole length on my hallway. Not quite as far on carpet.

This toy is super fun and my 2 year old loves it. You push down the man's head and it takes off zooming. It goes super fast on bare floors and crashes into anything without breaking so far. My only warning is that it doesn't work well on carpet when you push down the man's head, but you can still play with it by rolling it manually without a problem. So that issue didn't effect my 2 year old at all. She'll roll it manually on the carpet or if I'm in the kitchen working then she'll take it in there and let him zoom by pushing down his head. Over all a great car and I refused to give it less the five stars just because it can't handle carpet on its own well. I actually didn't expect it to for how well it's priced. I just love this and so does my daughter!Best Deals for Ertl John Deere Push and Go Truck

Review of Intelliglobe Deluxe
We ordered an intelliglobe as a Christmas (2010) gift for our kindergartener who has become interested in geography thanks to some classic British beginning readers (Around the World with Ant & Bee).
The globe arrived with the north pole axis popped out, but it was not too hard to pop it back into the cardboard globe and all was good. The toy has been a big hit, and while it is clearly meant for older children given the level of information provided, my young son and his younger sister love the "Continent game" and has moved on to harder challenges like cities and countries.
My wife, an elementary school teacher, would also highly recommend this globe for classrooms as well as being a great learning toy for home.
HOWEVER, one small warning, it is NOT VERY DURABLE in the hands of young children. We stored it on top of a short (table-height) book shelf and after only a couple of accidental (gentle) falls onto the carpeted floor, it is now broken at the posts that connect the main longitudinal ring around the globe to the base. Both of the "push-in" posts have now broken and the globe canno longer be held in the base. (one of these posts broke off in the base and we have not been able to dig the broken piece out -yet!)
I contacted the manufacturer (Replogle) and got an e-mail back after a couple days that they do not sell those parts separately from the globe. Rather than being able to buy just the longitudinal plastic ring, they can only offer the whole globe for half (or more) of the cost of the whole product.
So, parents of young geography lovers, be warned. This globe is not built to be a "toy" that can sustain even an accidental fall of just 3' onto carpet, and the individual parts are not readily available for inexpensive repair. The plastic parts at the connection points seem to break much easier than I anticipated and has rendered the toy unusable.
We are still deciding on whether to fix this globe or not, given the cost and waste of parts that are not broken.
What I liked:
educational.
What I didn't like:
cheap
the MOST annoying thing about this, is that when you turn the pen on, it repeats a marketing/sales spiel EVERY 'freakin' time. For some reason I can't get past this "invasion" into my home.
Most importantly Replogle's customer service is awful. They don't answer a phone, the voicemails are always full and when you speak with someone they're clueless and rude-all in all a bad combination for such an expensive globe!
Also, they do not give you the answers to the trivia. They say to Google the answers so you can learn them youself-seriously? What learning is there in spending hours Googling answers, other than the fact that the company is too cheap to put the answers on their Website so you could help out your child! Good idea just wish it wasn't from such as lousy and cheap company!
I am really impressed with all of the information that this globe contains, and the variety of subjects that it teaches. I have told several of my friends about this item and they are looking into purchasing the globe for their family.

Our two kids, aged 11 and 7, love this toy. "Find the country" is easy enough for the kids to play, and some of the other games are challenging enough for those of us adults who think we are pretty well educated (turns out there is a LOT we don't know about the world!!!) The topics of interest are well varied; it's fun to hear the local music and national anthems of all the different countries, for example... We haven't explored all the ways to use this globe yet, but so far it has proven to be both very fun and very educational.Best Deals for Intelliglobe Deluxe

Great idea but there are problems. First, you've to hit the pen on exactly the right mark in order to get credit for the answers. Our son is 11 and has not been very interested in geography or using globes and my attempts to get him interested have failed miserably. The day the Intelliglobe arrived my son was so excited about its arrival that he was literally playing with the globe as I was trying to get it out of the packing box. As soon as he got the globe out of the box he disappeared into his bedroom and stayed there playing with it for almost two hours. He loves this globe so much that I find him using it almost every day. He begs me to let him use this for his geography lesson instead of his usual curriculum. Each time a friend comes over he shows them his globe and they play with it for quite a while.I am really impressed with all of the information that this globe contains, and the variety of subjects that it teaches. Nice idea but I am not happy with how the gears do not stick on the plungers. Unless you are playing on a flat, still surface it will be annoying that they fall off. I thought they were going to be a softer plastic or something like the consistency of rubber. Not to mention the handles are not graspable at all ... perhaps by little fingers but not by an adult so a lot of the activities suggested are not possible. I bought this for my daughter and neither of us are able to figure out how to use it easily. It comes with its own software program but is not user friendly. Nor is trying to set the thing up, there are no directions telling you how to set this up. Also, though I give AmScope credit, the package came without the cable shown. Upon contact with the company, I did recieve the cable for it pretty quickly. It'd be nice if this came with a manual of some kind showing how to set it up and use it. Trying to learn a new software program without a manual is difficult unless you've got an IQ of 190. Now if we can just figure out how to work it.
After a couple of hours, I was able to do more than I thought I could with it. Overall, I am amazed with the product. Confining my hobby to brewing, so far all I use this for is to court cells. It does a great job day after day.

Although one might come to expect quality with every electronic component purchased, we all know that its impossible. Thus when buying this, I had low expectations. What a wonderful surprise I was in for. To begin with, I bought this for convenience and to be able to snap pics on my computer. The package arrived and everything was secure and well packed. Although I never used anything like this before, everything was rather intuitive. Good thing, as the instructions left much to be desired.
