This is a great product! It allows for adjustments that even more microscopes cannot offer. Also, the customer service is very helpful. One issue is that the 2000x magnification is difficult to adjust easily. This is understandable, because the magnification is really high for the microscope's design. The other magnifications come out clearly. Also, the stage only goes back so far. Sometimes I need to flip a slide around to view what the stage could not reach to. Finally, on the higher magnification settings, the stage needs to go higher than the objective lens to put the image in focus.
I could compare this microscope to the one I use at my university. What I like is that this microscope has some unique features (like the ability to add different color filters. Additionally, it can view higher magnifications. However, the one at my university has better adjustment control and therefore allows for a slightly better resolution (not saying this microscope does not give superior and very similar resolution).
Overall, this microscope is the best value with the amount of features it has and its price.
