I was hoping the ocean blue would be lighter, more of a mint color, like the picture, but was not surprised it was a little darker, given random pics I found at various sites. Still, it's a very nice globe, and seems worth the extra money versus the somewhat cheaper ones (based on reading those reviews, not actual experience).
