We bought one pair for our one year old twin girls and they loved them. They were the perfect size for the hands and they really like to shake them. The rattling noise is soft, not too loud. They also enjoyed the feel of the handle for teething. They started to fight over them so we ordered a second pair.

Reviews of Hohner Kids / Pair of Maracitos, Colors Vary
I looked at a number of musical items for my grandson who was having his first birthday. I decided to buy all Hohner products as soon as I saw that they are ALL "...BPA and phthalate free!" I'm very concerned about the toxins that are in many children's products and was thrilled to find a company that doesn't use them.

Reviews of Quivering Crazy Solar Powered Bug Grasshopper toy
I bought this for my daughter and my dog boomer. It turned out that boomer loves more than my daughter. Who knew?
For the price, I think the item is awesome. It is amazing how it works. I surely taught my daughter how solar energy works. I also learned that solar power is stronger than I thought before.
I have been using it for a while now and it has been working great. I think the quality of the item is great.
I am buying 5 more to make a crazy town of grasshoppers. It will be fun seeing multiple grasshoppers shaking.

Reviews of VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program HOW ARE INNOTAB 2 AND INNOTAB 2S THE SAME?
If you're already familiar with InnoTab 2 you're basically looking at the same tablet. The design stays the same, with all of the keys in the same place. The only addition is the WiFi key, which tells you if the tablet is connected to the internet, and how strong your connection is (a four bar display).
Included Apps are the same.
VTech still decided not to include the rope for the stylus. In the manual they call it a "Wrist Strap Fastener" (Note: not included). But it's clearly not a wrist strap fastener, because the stylus has a rope loop hole in it, and the tablet has a hole in it right beside the stylus. The website even states it has a "stylus with hole for string." My husband thinks VTech doesn't want the liability of a child wrapping their neck in the rope, and put the responsibility on the parent to get the strap themselves; it certainly seems that way.
HOW ARE INNOTAB 2 AND INNOTAB 2S DIFFERENT?
Some people like to creatively take the tablets out of the box for setup before handing to a child as a gift. InnoTab 2 is a bit of a challenge; just use sharp scissors to break the tape and foldout the box carefully. InnoTab 2S, I am happy to report, is the easiest of them all! The tablet just slides out the top in a plastic covering; no tape, or attachments cut into the box. You simply pop the tablet out of the molded plastic, and there you have it! I feel like someone at VTech heard parent's frustration and decided to fix this... thank you!
The big difference with InnoTab 2S is the new wireless capability, but don't imagine browser capability. The WiFi is simply used for downloading apps from VTech's website. Your child can make wish lists with the Wish List app on their tablet; my son is only 3, so he's not using that feature . . . yet. Downloading apps is easy, but you don't purchase them off the tablet itself (that's good new, otherwise imagine all the apps your child might "accidently" buy). You purchase them off your computer, tablet, or phone (I haven't used that feature yet).
The look of InnoTab 2S is basically the same, but I enjoy the bold black inlay over the previous grey and pink choices. I think this way it looks more like quality hardware and less of a toy (that's just my preference, my son doesn't care). Oddly, this one is considered blue because of the color of the back, not the front, which is white. Even the rubber sides are grey, unlike the pink one which actually has more pink on it. I think the "blue" is less gender specific because the back looks more dark purple; something to think about for parents who need to share this tablet between genders.
Finger swiping on the InnoTab 2, my son was having problems with the tablet thinking he was selecting an app, which would cause it to load. With InnoTab 2S the opposite has occurred; now the tablet wants to swipe to the next page and not open the app. At 3, my son prefers using his finger, but the InnoTab 2S works best with a stylus and opens apps perfectly that way. This is a bit of a downer, but workable.
OVERALL REVIEW?
It pains me, because I really want to like the InnoTab 2S, but it has one big flaw that hasn't been fixed it's *still* s-l-o-w. InnoTab 2S takes 43 seconds to reach the app home screen. The InnoTab 2 took 37 seconds; we shouldn't be regressing here (I should mention, the LeapPad2 takes 21 seconds!). It takes InnoTab 2S a solid 8 seconds to open an app. I said it before, and I'll say it again, there's a lot of "loading" (read: waiting) going on with the InnoTab 2S, and it makes a difference to me.
Another thing I had a bit of an issue with is videos. The InnoTab 2S comes with the same memory as the InnoTab 2 (2GB). You can add an SD card to expand up to 32GB; that's a big plus, but I've never needed it with my son. This time I wanted to upload videos for him to watch. So I put a 16MB SD Card, that came with an old camera we purchased, into the tablet. Putting the SD Card in was easy. The slot is in the battery compartment; you'll need to remove the batteries. This is a nice touch, in a way, because my son can't get to it and loose it. But can I just say that getting the SD Card out is a pain!!!! Horrible design. My son can probably get it out easier than I can. My husband? No chance. It doesn't have the push-eject feature, so you have to extract it out with small fingers, or tweezers! VTech if you're reading this, please fix this.
Afterwards I plugged in the InnoTab using the USB cord to my PC, and pulled up an LLL file on the card. In that file you transfer your converted video, photos, music (supports JPEG formatted photos, and MJPEG/H.264 videos (avi)). Sadly, there wasn't much I could put on a 16 MB disk. BUT, it was really easy to transfer everything and find them on the tablet. The video was of decent quality with playback options. Unfortunately, I'm not willing (read: lack the time) to convert movies for use on the InnoTab when I already have them converted for the iPad. But, if this is a feature you like and want to use, you'll enjoy it! Also, as an MP3 player the sound quality is decent, not a lot of distortion.
So which do I recommend?
Either. The WiFi is a nice touch, but not necessary. And there are no big changes between the two, except the InnoTab 2S appears slower, and the color change.
In case you don't want to go looking for the reviews on the VTech InnoTab 2 Learning App Tablet White, which is the same, here are some things you might find helpful:
Screen size (2 ½" x 4 ½"), or 5" if you're measuring diagonally.
Require 4 AA batteries (not included).
Uses a stylus (comes with two).
Has a cartridge port for additional games and uses purchased apps.
3-9 year age requirement.
Swivel camera.
Can buy additional accessories like screen guard, cases, rechargeable batteries, ac adapters, and headphones.
Personalize for up to 4 players, plus 1 guest.
Has an eReader, MP3 Players, art studio, calculator, calendar, notes, clock, and most of your basic themed books and games.
Has a mic and volume control.
Parent tracker that allows parents to track their child's progress and success playing a game.
Rubber corners to help protect it from a fall.
Battery compartment is easily accessible, just slide a switch and it opens the compartment. This is where the SD Card slot is found.
2GB of memory, but can add an additional 32GB of memory with SD Card (not included). I've found 2GB is more than enough for our needs.
Can be played right away (just add batteries, not included). Need to spend less than 5 minutes setting up the tablet date, time, and personalization.
InnoTab has a tilt sensor like an iPad or iPhone and will tilt the screen if held horizontal or vertical.
Has buttons for brightening or dimming the screen, but don't expect much, there's only four bars and it doesn't make a lot of difference.
Has a "?" button that allows you to hear instructions again, or find out more information about an app (nice touch!). The InnoTab itself tends to repeat things all the time (it's a bit annoying). The tablet doesn't ever sit quietly when turned on and not touched, it constantly wants to talk to you; you'll need to turn the volume off.
Comes with manual.
Internal "kickstand" for standing the tablet up vertically or horizontal.
Plays converted videos. Quality isn't like an iPad or iPhone, but little kids won't mind.

The first thing I noticed is that the new InnoTab is smaller. It still has a kick-stand on the back and a stylus sleeve, but there is now a hole in the stylus and a small attach point for a string to hold the stylus. Oddly enough, InnoTab doesn't give you the string, so you need to get one yourself. There is also now a camera on the top that pivots for both self portraits and photos of other people and a microphone for recording sound.
The InnoTab 2S is still a USB device controlled by software you install on your PC, but it now has WiFi for downloading apps. This permits your child to "shop" in the online store, put apps on a wish list, and then allows the parent to buy them later. The act of your child shopping sends you an e-mail with their "wishes". Sadly, the WiFi interface didn't work with my home network since I don't have SSID broadcast turned on. Even entering the name manually like I do on my iPad would not work, so I had to adjust my security settings down for the InnoTab to work.
Once I turned it on, I was also surprised because normally new hardware runs faster, but this one runs slower. For the original InnoTab, it tooks 16 seconds to get to the login screen and a total of 42 seconds to get through both power-up and login. The new InnoTab 2S takes 33 seconds to get to the login screen and 49 seconds to go from off to the home screen. Pathetic! This is for a little kid who will get impatient and mash the power button wondering why it won't turn on. Why can't they implement a sleep mode or similar? Taking almost a minute to turn on just is not acceptable today.
I was also hoping that there would be some improvement to the actual device games itself, but they are still fairly low resolution and slow. Most of them are not very educational, and repeat the same basic tasks over and over. A few accelerometer based games are fun, as are the silly camera applications. My kids had a great time playing with them, but there is a limit to what you can do with the device. My kids tried one of the eBooks that came with the tablet (there is a free cartridge included), but navigation was hard because the interface was so slow. This screen seems less sensitive to a finger than the original, so you really need the stylus. Many times my kids were not sure if they had clicked a button and it was "thinking", or if their click had not registered. Sometimes it took several taps with the stylus for anything to happen. It was a frustrating experience compounded by the fact they still play with the InnoTab 1 and that one runs faster!
Let's talk cost of ownership. The InnoTab 2S costs $100. InnoTab rechargeable batteries plus AC adapter will set you back $30. Add another $20 for an SD card (not included). You're up to $150 when you can get a Kindle Fire for $159. Each game cartridge is $25 and the downloadable apps range in price from $3-$7. In other words, you can hit $200 really quickly. But $200 will get you a Kindle Fire HD which comes with rechargeable batteries, more memory, far more free apps, and many apps that cost $1 (and turns on in a second).
My conclusion? I received this to evaluate, but I can't see myself wanting to even spend an additional $25 for a game cartridge when I know I can get better games on an inexpensive Android tablet that will run faster and smoother (and for less money). The only advantage of the InnoTab is durability, but other than that, I can't really recommend this device in today's world of inexpensive real tablets. The low quality applications and limited capabilities might have warranted 3-4 stars if the device weren't so mind-numbingly slow. Every button you click requires a 10-15 second lag while it loads the next screen. This hardware is well past its expiration date. The durable plastic shell and form factor are great, but InnoTab needs to update their processor to make a kids tablet to compete in the modern world.
If you're already familiar with InnoTab 2 you're basically looking at the same tablet. The design stays the same, with all of the keys in the same place. The only addition is the WiFi key, which tells you if the tablet is connected to the internet, and how strong your connection is (a four bar display).

Your child can make wish lists with the Wish List app on their tablet; my son is only 3, so he's not using that feature...
Oddly, the one I have is considered blue because of the color of the back, not the front, which is white.
Best Deals for VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Last year I had the opportunity to review the original InnoTab, so I was eager to see if they had greatly improved things this year with the InnoTab 2S. My kids always love playing with my iPad, so the idea of a little tablet with some kids games that I didn't have to monitor was quite appealing. I was not pleased with the InnoTab overall, but I had high hopes for the InnoTab 2S. The InnoTab 2S has many improvements over the InnoTab, but also has taken a big step backwards.
Honest reviews on VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this. It helps the little ones to learn and play so easily with the big buttons to decide what they want to do and the touchscreen is fantastic. the stylus is not attached so it will probably get lost but otherwise the touch screen works very good. My grandaughter played with this and I believe she would have played thru the night if I had let her.One thing about this is you can put learning games on it and they think they are just playing games while they are really learning :)Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet
Pre-ordered this for my soon to be 3 year old for his upcoming birthday. He hasn't seen it yet but I have already unpackaged it to check it out and set it up. It seems good quality to me and should be easy for him to use as he is quite familiar with operating my iphone and kindle. The apps are a little on the expensive side, but I was lucky to find the $20 download cards here on Amazon for $12.54 (which are still currently available as of the writing of this review) so I bought a couple of those to use for purchasing games/ebooks/videos. I very much like the ability to download the apps over wifi (though they still have to be purchased on my computer), we have a tag pen from leap frog and I have never been more frustrated than trying to download a book to that thing with it connected to my computer and my kiddo standing there whining to read his new book. From what I can tell so far this will be far easier. I can buy the stuff and just download it straight from the tablet without having to drag out my laptop. I don't know how fast it's going to go through batteries but I did purchase some rechargeable batteries specifically for use with this device and also the wall and car chargers. I decided if I was going to spend $100 on something for my kiddo I was going to have all the accessories to make it work when I need it to. The downloading can run kind of slow if you're downloading several things as once (especially video) and also stops if you enter an app, so I'd recommend doing that while the kids are asleep or otherwise occupied. The only thing I've found that I don't particularly like is that it seems to turn on at the same volume every time which can be quite loud if you're pulling it out to amuse your kid some place that's quiet and also it repeats itself a lot (while I was downloading several apps it kept telling me to click on the tabs to see what else I could do, I finally just turned the volume all the way down). Over all I'm happy with the purchase and I'm sure it'll only be better once my kiddo gets to enjoy it.Monday, September 15, 2014

I bought this for my 2 YOA granddaughter's b-day. I am glad I opened it up a day before her party b/c I didn't realize it needed assembled and also one of the "bugs" needed to have the magnetic glued back on. I thought this was a rather expensive toy and hoped to get exceptional quality but, I must say I was disappointed. My granddaughter however; did really like it and that's the most important thing. Does teach good hand/eye coordination.Best Deals for Anatex Magnetic Bug Life Handheld Table

While the panda family is a cute addition to my son's zoo, the sound it makes is pretty disappointing. I guess it's supposed to be a chomping sound? Like he's eating the bamboo. All the the pandas in the family make the same noise.
As a previous reviewer mentioned, we've had issues with the paint on these bears flecking off in some placesand in our case, the black from one of the bears actually smudged and rubbed onto one of the elephants in my daughter's collection. I would still purchase this family to go along with the zoo, but I'd recommend waiting until it goes on sale againand definitely purchasing the chimpanzee and elephant families first. Those are well worth the money and we have had no paint issues with those.

My daughters favourite of the whole collection and I can see why. Great idea to do a family, I hope they make more. The pandas have excellent detail on all three family members, it may just be personal choice as to why my daughter favours this family but there does seem to be something that stands above the other animals. Best VTech Nest and Learn Animals Deals
My huband & I bought this item in " A STORE" to give to our 15 month old twins. We were hoping to introduce them to animal names & sounds as they grow. Along with the hand eye coordination abilities. They enjoyed it so very much, that we came home & ordered one to keep at our house for their frequent visits. It was delivered as promised, well packaged.

I bought this as a gift for a younger child but my son who is almost 2.5 had to keep it! He loves the animals and keeps saying their names as he stacks them. The pieces are pretty easy to get on the base and you can either nest or stack them. If you nest them you can hear colors, shapes or numbers info for each one when it's placed on the base. However if you stack them the cow on the bottom is the only one that makes noise. Also, I found that when stacking them they aren't that sturdy so a younger child might get frustrated, though this isn't a problem for my son since he has more developed coordination. He loves knocking the pieces over anyway. If you don't have nesting cups then I think this is a great purchase because it's a fun take on a simple toy. They store nicely on the base too so it doesn't take up much room. I am happy with my purchase!Friday, September 5, 2014

The camera is a great toy, but the description is inaccurate. The camera I received came with only three discs (nursery rhymes, animals and their babies and goldilocks). Also, the image quality of the discs could be better, they look aged with spots and lines, not just retro. The alignment of the pictures in the picture viewer is also not perfect.

The picture discs sometimes slip in the lens because the catch that turns the disc does not engage properly, so they don't turn and get kind of stuck. It makes the button hard to push and it takes a few pushes to right the disc. Anyways this all amounts to poor quality materials and care put into building the product. But my daughter still likes to run around and tell everyone "Say cheese." I may look into a play digital camera. I really wanted her to like the same toy I loved as a child.Wednesday, September 3, 2014
SX RST 3/4 3TS Short Scale Sunburst Guitar Package with Amp, Carry Review
We spent the exact same amount on a 3/4 scale electric guitar from a chain toy store the year before and it was a piece of JUNK. When we ordered from these people; however, we were BLOWN away by the quality of this one! The package is amazing and now my son and his dad are learning to play together. Unbelievable quality for the price!!!
The case that comes with it is of much better quality than I was expecting. It is not flimsy. It is made of a thicker material and has some structure to it. That was a bonus.
As for the amp, my husband, who is a sound tech for live bands, said it has a good sound for such a small amp.
I haven't looked at the learning c.d. yet. I'll have to post later on that.
I have been only moderately successful getting the guitar in tune. For the first month I was able to get the guitar in tune, but it almost immediately fell back out of tune. At first I thought it was due to the tremolo, or maybe just new strings needing to be broken in. After the guitar became "un-tunable" I changed the strings thinking they were just cheap, but that does not appear to be the answer to my problem. At last I have come to the conclusion that it is just not going to be a guitar that will stay in tune. The best I can hope for is to tune it every 15 minutes, and hope I can get the strings to at least be in the ballpark.
Now after I got that off my chest, I must say that everything was in the box, just like it was advertised!
The amp works well for the intended purpose, the tuner works fine (on my guitar), and the guitar itself is very pretty!
My son really liked the DVD that came with the guitar and seems to have learned some things from it.
If I had it to do over again, I would not buy this guitar. I read a LOT of reviews before I picked this guitar, and most of the reviews were very positive, so maybe you will be luckier than me. But the bottom line is, the price sucked me in, and sometimes you get what you pay for!!

I can't believe the quality, I ordered this for my son for christmas and now I can't wait to see his face when he opens this gift. With standard shipping I got it in a week, make sure you have it shipped to a different address, have it gift wrapped or be ready to intercept the ups truck if it's a present, it comes in a brown box but says "guitar" on the side. (I know there have been other reviewers that have complained about this....silly). I was too impatient for christmas so I had to go ahead and play it a little, no real buzz or hum that you would normally get with a cheap amp. The guitars' look and finish is nothing short of amazing, the whole guitar feels solid in your hands, definitely not a toy, and it sounds great for it's 3/4 size and small price tag. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beginner/kids guitar & amp combo.Best Deals for SX RST 3/4 3TS Short Scale Sunburst Guitar Package with Amp, Carry
This guitar was delivered in 4 days. I love this guitar. It is well made and sounds great. The Sunburst coloring looks much better in person than online...very professional looking, not cheap. The size is perfect for my 11 year old and is still big enough for me to play around on it. It is bigger than I expected, but I'm glad, because I was worried that it would be too small. He can play this for a long time. I don't think the strings are set too close like I read on a review before I bought this. This guitar is for older children or small adults, and I think it's perfect for that. I think the review about them being to close may have come from a bigger adult with bigger hands. The case that comes with it is of much better quality than I was expecting. It is not flimsy. I bought this for my son this past Christmas. I was looking to get a complete kit for a minimum amount of money not knowing if he would pursue this interest. Although the interest is not really there, I cannot complain about value for the dollar. The guitar is well made and very sturdy. Everything is included amp, cord, strap, tools, carrying bag, DVD, etc. It is a 9 out of 10 for completeness. Although minor, it should have included a guitar pick or 2 but it doesn't. The guitar itself is packaged quite well but will need tuning once received. All-in-all, good bang for the buck. Now let's just hope his interest picks up.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for SX RST 3/4 3TS Short Scale Sunburst Guitar Package with Amp, Carry

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I picked up this sweet Photo Bug Electronic Learning Toy to give to my 2 yr old granddaughter at Christmas. She lives 1000 miles away from the rest of the family, so I thought I would put photos of her grandparents, aunt, cousins, etc. and have each leave a sweet message with the photo. I want her to understand that she is part of a bigger family, and thought this would be an excellent way for her to get to know her long distance family. This product is very colorful and would fit beautifully in any nursery/child's room. It is sturdy and should stand up under the tough play of a 2 year old. I like the fact that when not used by the child as a "book", it can be set on a dresser as a photo frame. This is just a perfect gift for any grandparent to give to a young grandchild.
I ordered this product because my husband's family doesn't live nearby, and it's a great way for my daughter to get comfortable with their faces as well as their voices even though she only sees them a few times per year.
This "photo album" is cute and colorful. Little ones love opening and closing it. There are tabs on each page that crackle etc, to get them even more interested.
There's a cute giggle when you open/close the album. After you put batteries in, recording the voices and inserting the photos isn't too difficult. If your little one still likes to chew on things, the photos are fairly safe from drool although it is not waterproof.
I would recommend this for almost any baby or young child, and especially if you have family that live far away!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program In essence, this is an 8 picture frame for a baby. You can record messages onto it and the 'pages' can be flipped. It also stands nicely for display. This is a very cute idea for families who live long distances or aren't seen very often, but you want a baby to recognize.Honest reviews on TOMY Sweet Messages Photo Bug Electronic Learning Toy
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The toy looks just like the photos, so you can see that yes, it is very colorful and fun looking. The tabs which stick out from each frame have a very crinkly substance inbetween the fabric which makes them fun to play with. Frankly, these generated as much fascination as the talking pictures. The from cover has a small mirror your child can look into I used this to say "this is Debbie" and carried that through with "this is Grandma" etc. The body of the bug is where you install 3 batteries. The end cap unscrews, which I thought was a good idea so a child doesn't inadvertently pull the tail off and the batteries fall out. In order to put the photos into the frame the instructions tell you to stick a screwdriver into the corner of the frame closest to the bug body and lift up. You have to jam that screwdriver in almost half inch, which I was afraid would bust the frame..when you angle the screwdriver handle away from the bug body the idea is the screwdriver will lift up a little latch and this latch also propels the clear plastic photo protectors up. OK, if you can successfully do this, pull the plastic out and reinsert the plastic you're much more capable than I am. I could not make the process work for me. I ended up grabbing the plastic insert with the thumb and forefinger of one hand and 'forcing' it up, past the latch. I was able to pull this up about 1 inch (although you could have taken the entire plastic insert out, I didn't want to risk not being able to get it back in) I inserted my photos which you should have trimmed to a 4" wide by 6" length maximum, I trimmed mine a tad bit less so I wouldn't have bulk at the sides. The photo sleeve went back in with no problem. Overall I do like the photo bug, and my borrowed young child enjoyed it very much. It was not difficult to record sound. I would recommend, especially for grandparents etc who live far away. The flaw for me was the release latch, which I could not get to work. Be aware that you can pull the plastic photo sleeve up using gentle pressure and you will save yourself alot of frustration. I rated the toy rwo stars for education as I'm not sure how educational it is. I suppose you could talk about colors?...I felt it was more to keep your child aware of relatives they don't often see.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for TOMY Sweet Messages Photo Bug Electronic Learning Toy
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is the best kid photo album ever! My 19-month-old niece LOVES looking at photographs, whether they be on an iPhone, hanging on the hall, or in a photo album. She has a kid photo album that she keeps in the car to look at during road trips, but that has nothing on this photo toy. With this album you can have the people whose pictures are displayed in the album record messages that play when the child looks at the photos. Each audio clip can be up to eight seconds in length, which really is plenty of time. Also, the toy itself is quite durable and easy for a child to use. I do wish you could include more than eight photos, but what are you gonna do? It's pretty awesome overall, and a big hit with the little one!!!Sunday, July 27, 2014
Reviews of My Word Box
My word box is great! My grand daughter loves to learn and its great to get a product that isnt electronic for learning! Thank you for great customer service!I actually bought these at a thrift store for my son who will be 6 in January. We homeschool and I am constantly looking for supplemental material. We use phonics pathways and he is at the perfect place to begin reading !! These cards are so PERFECT!! And I was so excited to find them, because I was beginning to run out of creative ideas to keep it fun! He LOVES Them! He has been reading the beginning reader BOB books for a while so this is the perfect next step to introduce sight words as he can decode words rather well!!
