poor execution... I have to help my kid to unlock each time he wants to use it. The lock could have been made better so that the kids can handle it by themselves. Too expensive for a small diary with a pad lock!

Bought three of the lockable diaries last year for Xmas for my 3 grandkids. The ideas was mine so I shouldn't have been too surprised when they didn't go over as well as I had thought. Like another reviewer said the keys are too small and get lost thus making the privacy of a locked diary a moot point. Check with the kids before you purchase.

It is a nice diary with sturdy binding. The little keys and lock would be easily broken if you tried, but same quality as other child diaries. It is a little more square than what the picture looks like and pages are wide-lined.

My 3rd graders loved these for practicing capacity conversion. Very durable, but they are not designed to hold water. They leak badly. The lids are not designed to hold water at all. You can use colored rice though.

My son was having trouble remembering measurement equivalents. Posters, drawings, and measuring cups weren't enough. I discovered this set in a curriculum catalog and what caught my eye was that the set uses containers similar to what you'd find in real life such as the gallon jug and pint containers one typically buys milk in.

The set is made from study plastic, a little oily, but that'll wash off. (The set just arrived this afternoon.) Measurements are in US and Metric, and there are lots of them. Example: the gallon jug is marked in cups, pints, quarts, 1/2 gallon, gallon (the line is slightly below the top, just where milk would be filled to,) and oz.

Though I haven't used it yet, and when I do it'll be in a homeschool setting with only one child, the set seems durable enough for a regular school or preschool setting.

Definitely worth the money and I wish I'd found it sooner!

was looking for a way to share the Elf on the Shelf story with a preschooler. this book is perfect for the shorter attention spans of the littler ones, giving them a way to participate in the story as it is being read to them.

I purchased this for my son last yr--he's a SPACE FREAK! He's LOVES it, so if your kid LOVES space & solar system stuff, they should LOVE this!

HOWEVER!: I would LIKE TO POINT OUT, It only comes with *8* PLANETS--NOT 9!! (Pluto is **NOT** INCLUDED!) Also, personally, i would not spend more than $20-$30 for it (which you can usually FIND in most toy places or even online places) mostly b/c,

The item does seem a bit fragile-the arms holding the planets are, anyway... altho my son's personally has never broken--at least not yet!-it doesn't seem like it would take too much if it were bumped the wrong way or with the wrong object.... thankfully, it goes on the CEILING where it's most likely to AVOID such mishaps! lol

Overall, i think it is a pretty *GOOD* product--as long as you don't spend too much $$ for it!

My First LeapPad Book: Jay Jay High-Flying Adventures Reviews

My kids 2 & 4 like this leap book. We are not especially JayJay fans, but I was really pleased with the content of this book. It has some really neat stuff to learn about in it...not just the ABC's and 123's. Its content includes many science themes like Animals,Dinosaurs, Planets and Solar system, Landforms, Seasons and weather, as well as simply learning what goes on in the Day and Nightime or what to wear for different weather. The main story focuses on a butterfly named Breezy that is flying south. I was pleased with the different content that it provided, it was a nice change from the typical abc's. You don't have to be a JayJay fan to enjoy this one, but Science is the main theme here so if you are looking for abc's and 123's...you wont find that. I gave it 4 stars for durability simply because its paper, and it can get worn.

I am such a major fan of PBS and all the programming they share especially for children. When I saw that LeapPad for preschoolers offere one with Jay Jay from the hit show Jay Jay the Jet Plane I pulled out my credit card. They are few choices in our local stores for these books for the My First LeapPad version of the educational toys. I say if you can get it-grab it! The morals to the stories are one's my son Evan who is only 2 retains from day to day

My six yr old granddaughter got the computer keyboard for the COMPUTER COOL SCHOOL last Christmas with a couple of play disks. She had really enjoyed playing with it so I decided to purchase this disk for her birthday. She loves it. I don't think she has onpened any of her other COOL SCHOOL disks since she received it. The disk is very durable and comes in its own plastic case. The WonderPets are so lifelike and the sounds so real that I don't mind watching (I'd like to play.) Her 4 yr old brother is mesmerized by it as well; good thing she's willing to share!

This game is a GREAT way to get your child to do something that is not only entertaining, but educational as well. Not to mention, it'll give you some free time to cook, clean, or do whatever needs to be done while your child is busy learning new things and occupying his/her time by "exploring" with the Wonder Pets!! The wonder Pets have been my son's favorite characters since he was just a baby, and he's got every Wonder Pets toy known to man, so it was good to give him something for his birthday that teaches him new things, and that he's REALLY excited to play! He's always asking, "Mommy, can I pleeeeaaaase play with the Wonder Pets on my Computer Cool School?!?! Pleeeeaaase?!?!" Lol!! We love many other vsmile and vflash games. BUT, this one gets boring pretty quickly. The games don't have much to them. You can change lightning mc queen's colors and decals. My son was bored of doing that quickly. Then, you can race him around and answer math questions, but overall, we were disappointed in this game. There aren't that many activities, the loading time between each sequence is long, and the games are kind of, well, boring to be honest!

I was really happy with this product and Amazon has the best price. It is durable plastic and looks like it will last for a long time. It is also long enough to hold those blank strips, I only have to cut off like 1 inch off of them to fit. Great for homeschooling or with small groups. If you have it up for a long time it does start to cave in but I rest it on it's side and it get better.

I ordered this to use for examples for class. It is plenty large, but not so large I can not carry it around. It is sturdy so that taking it from class to home and back again will not tear it up. I has plenty of pockets so that I can make sentences or use it for simple matching words.

It was perfect for what I wanted it for, especially the handle to carry it with at the top.

You can build immense towers, perpetual motion machines (almost), tops, and lots of things that spin. By connecting two spheres you can spin any shape! One sphere can suppost at least nineteen other pieces. This is a great toy, they are heavy duty, and built tough. I purchased the 42 piece set for my 5yr old sister; she loves it, and is clamoring for more sets.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING SMALLER THAN THE 42 PIECE SET! Once you (or your young friend) start playing with it, they'll demand more pieces!

This is an excellent learning toy, with applications in everything from physics to geometry. I highly recommend it for kids (and I'm a 22yr old one) of all ages.

Lovely soft colorful fruit pieces and a basket to store or tote them around in. The banana can be "peeled" halfway. I love that my youngest child can finally play with some toy food and I don't have to worry so much about him choking on them. I expect them to last longer than those plastic air-filled foods that these are replacing.

Easy to clean and wash, we can pretend to eat it as much as we want and it fits great into the play pots/pans in my daughter's play kitchen. The fact that they are fabric makes it easy to squish them into things for "cooking".

I got very excited about this set when I saw it online because we want our daughter to learn about healthy eating habits, and thought this would be a fun companion to her shopping cart. When the items arrived, I discovered that the pieces are much smaller than I expected, and that the age rating for the product is 3+ years. I ended up putting about half of the pieces away as possible choking hazards for our one year old. The fruits are super cute, as well as the little basket, and I hope she will grow into them when she is a little older and ready to engage in creative/kitchen play. I don't recommend this for under 2 years old, though...
