Cheap Explore & Discover Color Viewers

Customer Ratings:

Good educational value but the "fun" quotient only lasts for so long. Then it's time to put them away till they are "new" again and get them out and let them explore all over again. :) Still recommend them for helping to learn about colors and how to blend colors to make things like orange, green, purple... Different ages will get a different learning value from them so they have longevity. My kids are 5.5 and 2.5 yrs old.

My 12 month old took to this immediately. Each block is a little different with textures, color patterns, and sounds. The large, chunky pieces are great to play with alone or together as a puzzle. I can see that we will enjoy this toy for quite a while.

This was a birthday gift for a three year old grand daughter who is bilingual and it has helped her English development not to mention her love for Dora is met with being able to "read" this book.

My daughter loves her Bugsby reader, so I just restocked our book supply and this was one of my purchases. She loves it! Cute story, very educational spanish, numbers, letters, seasons. She's been walking around the house talking about which order the seasons are in. I let her take these books up to bed and after we read a book of her choice, she "reads" the Bugsby books to her stuffed animals. Love it highly recommend this product!

Review of Brilliant Minds Montessori Math Kit

Customer Ratings:

As a classroom teacher, the Brilliant Minds Math kit has helped my students understand the concepts behind math so much better. Rather than my students reciting numbers in sequential order, they actually understand how is applied. I have worked with many different types of math manipulatives, from number counters, bears and blocks. With this kit, the students learn the differences between ones, tens, hundreds and thousands by using the units, ten bars and cubes. The math kit provided by Brilliant Minds is the best one I have come across yet. I can't say enough about how helpful this kit has been to all of my students.

I bought this as a backup to public school after we had to transfer my daughter from Montessori. It has been great to reinforce the traditional methods she is being taught in public school. Her little sister, who is 3 years old and in Montessori school, loves doing "homework" with these materials while big sister is doing her homework. Good quality. Very happy with the purchase and will probably be buying the advanced kit soon.

Best Anatomy Poster Deals

Customer Ratings:

This is a beautiful piece of art. It hangs in my massage therapy studio and I look at it frequently just to follow the lines of the bones, muscles, and body outlines as I imagine working with a client. No comments from my clients yet, but this is a male anatomy-correct poster, so anyone who looks will see a penis. Strangely missing is the Quadratus Lumborum (QL), unless I just haven't found it yet. It is expensive, but I consider it to be professional.

Buy Vixen 5835 125mm Binacular Telescope Body only without eyepieces

Customer Ratings:

These are great binoculars. The Amazon price is great, and with free shipping, how can you go wrong? For optimum use, you need to purchase a tripod with a geared center post, and the yoke mount that Vixen makes. It wouldn't hurt to have Panoptic 19 or 24 mm eyepiece pairs either! The views of the milky way are breathtaking in this scope.

The four inch size of this star globe limits its usefullness for real study but it does demonstrate how the stars track across the night sky. A fair value for the price.

I bought this with the regular globe and I love them both! Nice details for the price, good quality. Definitely would recommend for a desk ornament.

ONE LOOK AND YOU SEE IT ALL IN A BIRDS EYE VIEW OF THE NIGHT SKY. I PREFER TO START WITH A SUMMARY VIEW, THEN GO TO THE PLANISPHERE BOOKS WHEN A SECTION OF THE SKY IS DECIDED ON FOR VIEWING. THIS GLOBE CAN DO THAT. A GREAT PRODUCT.

This globe will tell you where to look into the sky to see constellations. It isn't good at finding where you are.

My 3-yr-old got the tag system for Christmas. She was so excited to get this book to go with it. She loves the Tangled movie and reads this book (with the help of the pen) by herself every night before bed. A fun book choice, if short.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter who loves using her Tag Reader. The book is great. It doesn't directly illustrate any of the more intense parts of the movie, which I won't spoil by listing. The Tag Reader is awesome and I recommend it to parents all the time. This book is a great one to get to use with the Tag Reader.

I really like the tag reader and the books. This was a first book for us to go with the tag reader a family member bought for my daughter. My 3yr really enjoyed this book and the games you can play. It really surprised me how much she uses it and likes to do it herself :)

Reviews of Hape Eco Animal House Shape Sorter

Customer Ratings:

This shape sorter is much cuter than the Fisher Price ones and I love the eco friendly wood look. The shapes have cute faces on them and everything is well made. Great buy. My only complaint is because the box is somewhat shallow, you have to shake pieces in the box out of the way to put more shapes through the holes. My 10 month old likes this toy a lot.

Review of Baby Signing Time DVD Collection

Customer Ratings:

I was introduced to the series by Early Intervention in PA. My son was a premature infant who was behind in all areas. He absolutely loves watching the other children signing. After several months he is now signing a lot but most importantly he is beginning to talk! I am no longer worried about him being delayed. Thank you so much for making these fantastic videos! My only negative comment is they are a bit expensive so I can't afford them all.

I bought these when my daughter was 7 months old. I was expecting her to sign to communicate but she didn't sign until she was about 11 year old. She was very excited even before the movie started, when she hears the giggles and the logo popping up. When she was about 13 months old, her signing vocabulary increases by 1-2 words per week if I keep showing her the signing and the real subjects.

Now, she is 16 months old. she can sign baby, music, food, drink, peach, dog, dada mama, hat, music, more, milk, shoes, socks, dirty, nice, please, sorry, etc. It is a lot of fun seeing her signing because she looks so cute and silly!

Best Deals for Baby Signing Time DVD Collection

I ordered this DVD set for my 13 month son at the time. He loves this set. After two days watching first DVD, he started signing for "drink" and "more". I was surprized how quick he picked up. He is now 20 months old and still these are his favorate DVDs. I also bought Wordworld but he prefer to watch signing time. So I ordered signing time practice which teach him ABCs and 123s but he doesn't like to watch it too long. Maybe he is too young for that. Before he started watching this, I let him watch "your baby can read" since he was 3 month old. No, he didn't learn how to read but, he learned all his body parts from that DVDs. I don't play after we got signing time but he still knows all his body parts. Our family was impressed that he knows all his body parts at 8 month. Another DVD he really likes is "Letter factory" but not as much as signing time. Anyways, I would highly recommend this to every mom who wants to communicate with their little one.

Honest reviews on Baby Signing Time DVD Collection

I bought these when my daughter was about 4 months. We have only watched the 1st DVD so far, so that is why I have only rated this as 4 stars. My daughter loves watching the other babies' faces, so this signing video definitely keeps her attention, much more so than the animated baby sign flash cards we play with on my iPad from time to time. Your baby will learn the signs faster if you watch the video and sign along with him or her. For instance, during the song about drinking, I always have a glass of water near by and am sure to sign to her that 'mommy is drinking water' while the video is playing the 'drink' song. So yes, you should watch this video with your children so you can lean the signs and use them with baby, I try to avoid using this video as ababy sitter, although it sure is tempting sometimes. If she loves the other DVDs as much as the first, this will be a 5 star product.

UPDATE: It's official these DVDs are awesome! My daughter just turned 7 months old and started signing 'milk' to me this week while she was drinking a bottle. Now I can ask her by signing if she wants milk and if she doesn't she just looks at me, but if she does she signs milk back to me. It is so amazing that she can communicate with me now on some level. She gets really excited now everytime we watch one of the DVDs.

Reviews of Thermos Littlest Pet Shop Lunch Sack

Customer Ratings:

I got this for my 7 year old that is crazy for LPS. It's lightweight enough that I'm curious how it will hold up, but the zipper is easy it's wide enough to place all her lunch items in and not appear crowded. She has a "purse" looking one from PB and it's small inside. So far it's a hit!
