Plenty of activities to do with this set! My 20 month old might be too young for the more difficult activities but she has fun sorting the bears in the plates. Well worth the money as these bears will last a long time and you won't run out of activities to do.

I bought this for my special needs niece and she loves it. Its also great for typical children. It helps teach size and color recognition and patterns. There are so many ways this can be used. Its like dozens of toys in one.

Montessori Geometric Stick Material Reviews

Customer Ratings:

This is a very reasonable cost for a fantastic Montessori product that can be used throughout E1, E2 and into geometry and advanced math. I printed a geometry manual, made my own triangle sets and this set completes my geometry materials (for the most part).

Buy Deinonychus Raptor Dinosaur Claw Replica

Customer Ratings:

The dinosaur claw that I recently purchased for my grandson was exactly what he wanted. He carries in his pocket all day long. The item was for his 8th birthday and was a little delayed in getting there on time, however, the senders were kind enough to make up for the inconvenience by shipping another claw (different dinosaur) and now my grandson has one claw for each pocket. Thank you for everything. Brian

This guitar is great! It's a little darker, not as "spongy" looking of a paint job as the picture makes it look. Mine does not have a pick guard but that's ok with me. The kit came with a bag, a strap, a pitch pipe, and an extra set of strings.

I'm 33 years old. I've always loved music. I taught myself to play piano as a child (short old I will certainly never be a concert pianist) and I sing. I wanted to expand my horizons & pick up the guitar. This has been a great guitar! It's got great action (which means it's easy to press the strings down to play the chords). It's got great time. It's pretty. It's everything I thought it would be!

LeapFrog LeapPad2 Gel Skin, Green (Works with LeapPad2 or LeapPad1) Reviews

Customer Ratings:

It really protects the product. I also purchased the carrying case and they all go together and he really likes it.

Cover is exactly what I ordered and expected. This allows my son to play with his LeapPads without it constantly slipping out of his hands.

Best Deals for LeapFrog LeapPad2 Gel Skin, Green (Works with LeapPad2 or LeapPad1)

I was a bit hesitant to order this because it says it fits both the LeapPad and LeapPad 2; I wondered if I was buying the one for the original LeapPad, which also fits the LeapPad2, but not perfectly (which is what we previously had been using). I checked LeapFrog's website before ordering and just hoped it was the right one it was! This Gel Skin lines up perfectly with the LeapPad2.

Overall I'm quite happy with it. I feel my son's LeapPad is well protected. I definitely recommend one of these if you own this tablet.

Honest reviews on LeapFrog LeapPad2 Gel Skin, Green (Works with LeapPad2 or LeapPad1)

It fits the outside very tight and protects the leappad just like it should. It is thick enough to help protect the leappad from drops and also any furniture that might be hit with the leappad as well. It provides a good grip to hold onto the device better too. I would recommend this product.

This is a great investment for your leappad. my boy dropped it almost right away in the driveway and had no damage to his leappad. AWESOME.

Playskool Alphie Booster Pack - Animals Reviews

Customer Ratings:

I bought Alphie for my Granddaughter for Christmas from Amazon. I also bought her the numbers and letters booster packs. I did not buy the Animal booster pack because of the price. It did not make sense to me that the other booster packs were about $10 and this one 3 times that. I found the Animal booster pack off line in a store and paid the same price that the other 2 are selling for. My Granddaughter loves her Alphie. It goes everywhere with her. Amazon, do a price check on the Animal Booster pack! Why are you charging SO much for it?

This is the best card pack for the Alfie in my opinion. It teaches all about different animals' habitats, body parts, sounds, and so much more. That being said, you can buy this for around $10 at stores, which is where I got mine because I won't pay 3 times that if I don't have to.

Best Deals for Playskool Alphie Booster Pack - Animals

These cards are great, and the animal pack is hard to find. My 4 yr old loves to play with her Alphie, but when her 2 yr old sister gets her hands on these cards, I find myself wishing they were a little less flimsy. She hasn't torn them or anything (yet!) but she has certainly bent and creased many of them. I guess I wish they were a bendable plastic or something. Anyhow, it's still a wonderful product that I highly recommend if you have Alphie for your preschooler. The case they come with is also VERY handy for storing them if you have multiple sets of booster packs, since only one pack of cards fits in Alphie's back.

Honest reviews on Playskool Alphie Booster Pack - Animals

My 5 year old son enjoys this toy. No complaints other than the cards are flimsy. Here and there I question the stated facts/information the cards provide but nothing critical. Overall, 3 stars.

My 18th month old adores this toy and not many toys hold his interest. He love the little cars and it makes this lovely (for him, not so much for the adults) squeky sound and the little ball in the car. The big truck has doors that open and close this keeps him preoccupied the most. LOVE this company and their toys.

This toy was purchased for a 1 year old who loves putting things (especially matchbox cars) inside of larger objects and then taking them them out. The space ship cars are perfect size for his little hands (and mouth!). The doors open on either or both sides with a road across them for play. The doors permit the cars to be placed in and be taken out as well as serve as a storage unit. The large "box" not only has a handle for him to carry, but also has its own set of wheels to permit play as a vehicle on its own. A perfect toy purchase. The seller also was great. Item arrived earlier than expected.

I normally really love the B. line of toys but this one has been very disappointing. The doors that are supposed to be the "track" area always fall off from day one. The cars are cute and keep my 1 year old and 3 year old entertained but because those doors won't stay on I am starting to hate this toy.

This is a well-designed/built toy that combines 5 activities into a very small footprint and is not too expensive (compared with buying all 5 different toys separately) so it's everything the condo-living parents wanted for their 2-yr old twin girls. The only issue so far is that the kids don't seem to be interested in it. But maybe they will in another year, when they reach the minimum recommended age for this toy ...

Review of Black TwinStar AstroMark 80mm 16-40x Power Portable Refractor

Customer Ratings:

If you are looking for a first telescope or need an inexpensive guide scope and you can get this scope for less than $99, then get it!

Pros: This scope, with the supplied eyepieces, shows crisp terrestrial views. The 25mm eyepiece field of view shows all of the Pleiades star cluster. The 10mm eyepiece easily shows Albireo broken out as an orange and blue double star. Also the 10mm eyepiece shows the two major cloud bands on Jupiter and all four Galilean moons. The resolution is good enough with this scope that the "seeing" conditions will dictate whether you get a mediocre or excellent viewing experience. Neither Saturn nor the Moon is up right now, but this scope should adequately show the ring system of Saturn and enough lunar detail to hold your interest for many minutes.

Cons: As with any inexpensive telescope with a tiny finder scope on a plastic mount with an inexpensive rack and pinion focuser; there will be challenges. The finder scope is difficult to align with the main scope. It took me several minutes to get it "close". The Alt-Azimuth mount does have a modest tracking ability by using adjustment screws that manually allow limited movement in both the horizontal and vertical axis. Fortunately, the scope is attached to the mount via a 1/4-20 screw receptacle so it can be mounted to any photographic tripod. All telescopes suffer from image shake. But the more expensive the scope; the smaller the shake and the faster it goes away. This inexpensive scope on the supplied mount shakes a lot, so focusing is a challenge. Focus the image with tiny adjustments then don't touch till it calms down to see if your focus adjustment was enough or too much. Using a bright star as a focusing guide is advisable.

Bottom Line: With a little practice at pointing, focusing, and guiding, this scope is fun to use and will keep you entertained for as long your patience lasts, the night remains relatively calm and clear, and your hands can still function in the cold night air. Visual astronomy is not as simple as looking through the eyepiece to get a spectacular view. Knowledge of the scope (its optics and mount) and practice using the scope makes for a spectacular view.

Discount Educational Insights the Space Place Classroom Organization Center

Customer Ratings:

I teach third grade, and have several students who were doing homework, but losing it before it got turned in... I have a pocket now for each, and they turn everything in (along with a student agenda signed by a parent) every morning. It's incredibly convenient! I can see if mom or dad signed, grab the papers, and sort them for correcting into pockets (at the top, where the third graders can't reach!) The agendas are a bit heavier than a spiral notebookand these pockets have been holding up very well so far... I like that they hang from metal grommetsI was able to screw in some hooks, but think I'll be bringing the electric drill and installing something more permanent. I have 29 in my class, so I bought three, and have extra pockets for forms, late assignments, and four different papers. A coworker also ordered these after she saw mine and really likes them.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I like the idea of the organization and it would be fine if you were just needing to put a file folder in each pocket. It didnt seem sturdy enough to hold much weight in each pocket. I was needing something a little more sturdy. I baught it to organize my homeschooling projects for each day but found that there was no space for anything but maybe 15-20 sheets of paper and I was hoping for more of a pocket.

Best Deals for Educational Insights the Space Place Classroom Organization Center

I bought this item for our home. We are a family of five that is tight on space, and the papers keep our dining area cluttered. I had gotten a mail sorter, but found that with only 5 slots, it was getting overstuffed. Not to mention all of the surface space it took up. We needed a hanging option. I looked around and found this!! I just hung it up, put file folders in each section to keep papers from curling over or falling out (not to mention make it easier to grab the Bills to be paid folder and head to the computer with it, as an example), and we are good to go! It seems sturdy, and hung up nicely using the grommets. Now we have slots for each family member, and slots for the massive quantity of school papers that come home as well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of how it looks. In a school setting, this is perfect. In a home setting, I would prefer to have more color options. I looked for something like this that was geared towards home use, but didn't find one. That one thing aside (which is minor, as it is marketed as a classroom organizer), I am very pleased with this purchase!!

Honest reviews on Educational Insights the Space Place Classroom Organization Center

I purchased two of them and used colored pocket folders which fit inside nicely and won't allow any papers to fall out the sides when I remove them from the organizer. I use one for me to put the day's papers in and the other (with coordinating file folder color)for the students to put their completed papers in. It has allowed me to clear my desk and counterspace from other file type organizers.

Cheap Kid O Cursive Magnatab (Lower Case)

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $28.99

I have a very reluctant writer in an AMI Montessori school, where they learn to write lower-case cursive letters first. With so few products out there for cursive these days, I had to try this one when I saw it. My son likes it well enough. I think he likes the tactile nature of a board like this where the ball barrings jump up to meet the magnet in the stylus, but it's really not the best tool to help him with his writing. Because the magnet in the pen/stylus is pretty strong, it can pull up the ball barrings in other parts of the letter even when he has not properly traced over it, but simply put his pen near it. He gets preoccupied with "resetting" the board by pushing down each ball barring all the time. It's a novelty and a game, but not real aid to learning to write. A chalk board or paper and pencil are still better practice for him.

KIDS GOT BORED WITH IT QUICKLY. THEY COMPLAINED THE LITTLE BALLS GOT STUCK AND DID NOT FLOW SMOOTHLY, IT WAS OKAY.

Best Deals for Kid O Cursive Magnatab (Lower Case)

My kids have a lot of fun with this. When you drag the "pen" along the cursive letters, little magnetic balls pop up and stick to the surface. You release them with your finger (not recommended if you want to keep the whiteness of the board) or the side of the pen. The pen is not attached, so it is not for small kids but my 4 year old and 6 year old can play with it. This is one of the best cursive activities I have found.

Honest reviews on Kid O Cursive Magnatab (Lower Case)

I saw this in a magazine (and since advertisement is meant to sell a product) and I was sold. It bored my kids within minutes. I wish it hadn't. The kids are more interested in the magnetic capabilities then the learning. It would be cheaper and just as effective to buy the dry erase books where you trace the letters and merge to eventually writing the letters yourself on lined paper. The lines show you dimensions. I really hoped this would be a wonderful addition to my daycare but really is just a costly gimic. My apologies to the creators of what appeared to have real potential.

My first Lower case Magnatab was defective. Some of the metal balls would not stay in the letter "i " and in the letter "o". It appeared that the holes were slightly too big. I returned it. Our second Lower Case Magnatab works fine.

I bought this book for my 3 month old and he has enjoyed playing with it throughout the different stages of his development for 5 months now. At first, he just liked gumming it, then he noticed shapes/animals, then he loved the bee, then he started to grab the butterfly wings and snake, etc that jump off the pages...it has been a great source of exploration and entertainment for us both!

Lovely book with so much to see and touch! Our six month old loves it and can play with it for 8 or 10 minutes. There is always more to explore. I just wish that I could drop it in the washing machine. If I could, it would be the perfect toy! Still: a good purchase and I would recommend it.

Best Deals for Manhattan Toy Soft Activity Book with Tethered Toy

As with all of the products that I bought my 6 month old daughter for christmas, I read all of the reviews before purchasing. I noticed that many of the reviews indicated that this book was intended for 12 month old children due to safety. However, my daughter LOVES this book. I make buzzing noises as the bee goes through the book and she just giggles like crazy!

Honest reviews on Manhattan Toy Soft Activity Book with Tethered Toy

Our son didn't care much for this when he was under the age of two, but now that he's older and knows the animals and colours, he has a lot of fun with this book. He also enjoys "reading" it to his baby sister. He likes to poke the bee in the flower, and other places in the book. It's a well made book.

our 8 month old baby loves this book. each page has a slot to put the bone that's attached to the string, unlike other books like this that only include inserts on some of the pages. it's made with good quality stitching and thick fabrics for the pages. when you turn the book around and open it up it turns into the full dog with a tail that's attached to the book like the head. it's very cute and i think she'll enjoy this book for a long time. this is the 5th product we've bought by "manhatten toy" company and every one of them are 5 stars.

***UPDATE***

we've had this book for 10 mos now and she still enjoys reading it and doesn't look very worn at all. this is a great buy and i highly recommend it and any other of this company's activity books.
