Crack & Chirp Eggs Reviews

Customer Ratings:

This is a excellent product and would recommend to everyone. Toy is a lot of fun I purchased the Hide N squeak Eggs and the Crack and Chirp Eggs just to see what the difference was and the only difference I found was the "Tomy" Hide N Squeak Eggs are priced at double the price of Crack N Chirp but does the exact same thing.....

I would highly recommend to everyone.

I bought these eggs for my 1.5 years old so she can have "pretend eggs" for her toy kitchen. These eggs are good size, and bright white with colorful little birds inside. The birds chirp very softly when pressed. The bottom part of each egg has a unique shape (star, triangle etc.) that match the egg carton. The egg shells break in a nice zigzag line mimicking broken egg shell. My problem with this product is that the top part of the eggs fall off to the slightest touch and that is why I only rated two stars for this product. The shells just fall off, and this is not fun at all. In order to play with these eggs as pretend eggs it needs to be possible to remove them from the carton with the top shell still on, and then detach the top shell. But that is not possible even for me let alone for a toddler. Perhaps the manufacturer intention for this toy was to match the bottom part of the eggs to the box, and then carefully place the tops on the eggs. My daughter wasn't very interested in doing that and just throw the shells around.

Definitely a hit at easter with my 1.5 yr old and her cousin. The squeak isn't loud but sometimes quieter toys are appreciated in our house.

Honest reviews on Crack & Chirp Eggs

My daughter likes this toy. It's bright and colorful, and fun to put together. The birds don't really "chirp" or squeak that loudly though.

Purchased this about 5 weeks ago, for my toddler's Easter Basket. Purchased because of the eggs/Easter connection, and also I remembered loving something sort of similar from my grandma's toy closet when I was a kid (her set was like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Small-World-Express-Egg-Shape-Sorter/dp/B00000IUA0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1368211811&sr=8-3&keywords=egg+toy).

My daughter loves this toy, and has played with it almost daily since Easter. Sometimes she throws the eggs off her high chair tray and onto the hardwood floors beneath, but they've held up just fine. The price on this toy can't be beat, for what it is... love the different learning aspects: fit the shells' shaped bases into appropriate egg cup, fit the shell "lids" on top, and eventually, maybe figure out that she can match the different faces on the shells to the faces on the chicks, and have the faces peeking out of the openings in the carton. Again, great toy. I think it'd be a good match for toddlers between age 1 & 3.

Buy Glitzi Globes Dome Maker and Display Unit

Customer Ratings:

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Got this toy for my 6-year-old granddaughter. As another reviewer said, the picture on the box shows a lot more than you get, although the description of the contents of the box is accurate.

The child loved the toy, but I would not suggest assembly anywhere but the kitchen table, as it is very messy. Some of the little toys would not go on the bases once in the globe maker, but we found if we laid the bases flat on the table and pushed the toys in first, then put them in the globe maker it was easier to assemble.

Filling the big dome with the bottle was a real mess, and I wound up taking it to the sink and filling it. The spinner for the little domes was useless, and we just held them closed with our hands while we shook them. I think this is more practical for a child anyway since their fine motor coordination in their hands and fingers isn't always well developed at the optimum ages to play with this toy, which I agree with another reviewer, is about 6 to 8 years old.

I didn't find anything on the box that gave the appropriate age group for this toy, but the ad on Amazon says not for children under 3, which I heartily agree with. There are far too many tiny and pretty parts that kids might put in their mouths And it says for children 5 to 15. I would be surprised if a 15-year-old would want to play with it.

Children don't seem to mind the messiness of this toy at all, but I would caution against letting them assemble it in their rooms unless the floor and assembly area is waterproof. Some supervision and assistance with assembly of the toy wouldn't hurt, in my opinion.

Overall, it's a cute toy with lots of pretty colors sure to delight the young ones as it did my granddaughter.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My little girl is 9 and she loved this toy! She couldn't wait to open it and put it together. It is fun, and pretty easy to assemble. The biggest disadvantage was she wanted to do more globes! But she had a great time and it kept her entertained for a bit and she loves to display the finished product. She now wants to buy more to give to her friends as gifts.

Honest reviews on Glitzi Globes Dome Maker and Display Unit

I bought this, along with another starter pack, for my daughter's 8th birthday. She loved it and made all the globes right away. I needed to help her make the first few, but after that she could do it alone. It can be a little messy, but it is only water and cleans up quickly. The display unit makes a carousel and four mini-globes, but there is space for more so plan to buy another set or two if you don't want it to look empty. Only criticism is the four display spots in back are up on little sticks, but the set came with two sticks instead of four, and they do not fit snuggly in the base. It's fine for now as she doesn't have enough to fill all the spaces, but if she continues to collect them she'll notice soon enough.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My daughters (11 and 4) love this toy because they can play with it together. Or maybe that's why we the parents love the toy.

Immediately, you have to understand -as most are apt to do -the box is the idealistic notion of what this toy is. The box is Plato, the toy is Aristotle. However, this does not mean the tangible toy is any less fun than the real, i.e. on the box, toy. It just means there is less realized.

The toys are easy to understand, with no learning curve. The mess is minimal if you have children who can do these things by themselves. My 4 year old made less of a mess with these than she does brushing her teeth. And, don't worry about the tiny parts if you fall within the age group.

A great, easy, and fun toy even if the supply of toys is limited.

Got this for my son who is on the spectrum. He loves the noises that it makes and putting the balls in. My speech therapist recommended it to me (she used it as a reward in his discrete trial sessions). I recommend it too!

4M Mousetrap Racer Kit Reviews

Customer Ratings:

Kit arrived as advertised with all necessary parts and clear instructions. It was easy for my 16 year old to assemble for a school project. No help needed from mom and dad yeah!

Bought this to use for a fun demonstration while teaching about simple machines. Had a student put it together and it works great. Seems easier to wind by "backing" up the tires instead of winding the string around the post. Good quality and works as described.

I put this together with my 10yr old nephew. It was a nice little project for us both to fiddle with. Took us about 30mins or so to put together, basically following the pictures. The only problem we had was that the string kept falling off the 'hook'. So we tried to knot it onto that area instead. getting the string to wind around was a bit of a problem too...but we found ways that were not to inconvenient to adjust to that too. The racer moves pretty slow, but probably b/c of the string problems we were having, seeing as the string unwinding is what 'motors' the car. Nonetheless i gave it 4 stars because he enjoyed putting it together and he was happy to see that we did it well enough to actually get it moving!

Honest reviews on 4M Mousetrap Racer Kit

I Bought this for my 16 year old daughter high school project. Perfect for what she needed. Very Good product.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 4M Mousetrap Racer Kit

This kit is easier because the instructions and supplies allow a pre-teen to read the instructions and complete the project on their own if they are the hands-on solitary project type. They will certainly get a sense of pride in accomplishing a working mouse-trap racer all by themselves. If you were going to have an adult supervised project I would recommend going out and buying the few supplies you need or finding them around the house which doubles as a lesson in recycling and innovation.

Cheap Space Flashcards

Customer Ratings:

My 18month old son loves this flash cards. The cards have great resolution.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

These are very high quality flashcards that both my kids, 4 and 2 years old, enjoy thoroughly. The photos look great and they are excellent for explaining the solar system. We haven't even begun to look at the fun facts on the back of each card. The very minor concern is that the content is slightly out of date. With Pluto now designated a dwarf planet, and other dwarf planets now identified, it would have been best to either exclude the Pluto card or include more dwarf planet cards. Further, there are three space shuttle cards, which look great, but given the space shuttles are now all in museums, they slightly misconstrue what vehicles we use to go up to and come back from Earth orbit. However, these minor concerns simply become learning opportunities to talk about the latest situation and demonstrate that scientific knowledge changes with new evidence and technological advances. These flashcards are absolutely recommended.

Dora The Explorer Learning Adventure Laptop Review

Customer Ratings:

I bought the dora laptop for my two daughters and they went wild with joy. They spent hours playing with it and it actually took them away from the TV set. I was not happy it ran on batteries but for the safety of the children this is obviously much better. It is durable has it has inevitably suffered a few falls without mishap. A bit expensive but I think it is worth it. It has different "games" they learn to use a mouse and above all my laptop got some peace.

We ordered these to use for Science class and experiments. They are exactly as described and seem to measure temperature accurately. I marked these 4 star instead of 5 because they are difficult to use with elementary science students. I've not been able to find easy to read reliable classroom Celsius thermometers for elementary students, particularly the younger ones who are just learning to read the thermometer. We liked being able to count the degrees by ones, but the markings are so close together that it is hard to read.

This is the second one I've bought. I'm a professional chef, and I lost the first one. There are a few minor issues. With a lot of use the rubber coating will rub off the buttons, and the plastic cover will stretch some so it won't snap tight. But most importantly it's fast, and accurate. I love the backlight feature. I also had the BBQ edition of this one which looks exactly the same except it's read and has a flame decal. For some reason that one fell apart, while both of these have held up well.

Scholastic Teacher's Friend Simple Addition & Subtraction Learning Review

Customer Ratings:

My 2nd graders love using this puzzle during math. I have multiple math puzzles in the classroom and they're always a big hit. The only change I wish Scholastic would make, would be to clearly label the 6 & 9 since they look exactly the same. I just took a Sharpie & wrote the number name to clarify the confusion with my students.

Discount Hugg-a-Planet Hugg-A-Planet

Customer Ratings:

My husband and I used this toy to introduce our 2 1/2 year old to the concept of my travelling to Australia and it worked a treat. Although the "globe" is large, the "squishy" factor made it easy for our son to catch the ball and the colourful mapping made it fun to show him where he lives in comparison to Australia. Since world geography isn't necessarily taught very well in schools, I think this is a fantastic tool to introduce the concept of a 'world view' to children at a young age...and one that can be used for years to come!

This product is fantastic. I have been using it for years in my classroom. I ask a question and then toss the globe to the students who raise their hands. They answer and then toss back the globe. It gets students volunteering who normally wouldn't.

It does fade after say 5 years or so and gets a little nasty from all the dirty middle school hands, so I replace them every few years and get a fresh new one. It holds up very well and has never torn. It is awesome in my history classroom. A+

I have also seen it used in Sunday School and VBS to sing "He Has the Whole World in His Hands".

Naturally as a history and geography teacher I think starting education early is very important, and this product is great. I give these as baby gifts to everyone! It is very soft and squishy and a great huggable toy! Please get a Hugg-a-world and teach your children young, so I can stop answering the question in the eighth grade "Why are there two Pacific Oceans on the Map?" (yes im serious)

Best Deals for Hugg-a-Planet Hugg-A-Planet

I bought this for my 2-year-old son and he likes the bright colors of the ball a lot. But it is actually a toy for the whole family, we often sit down and study it. We found a few errors, but that was to be expected. My main criticism is that after a while it becomes lumpy and I don't think there is enough filler, so it's not really round.

But it's a fun educaional toy that would entertain your whole family!

Honest reviews on Hugg-a-Planet Hugg-A-Planet

I doubt this pillow globe would wash well for it will definitely loose it's shape and it looks like the fabric would fade b/c it already seems like it's faded.

You would need to fluffed it up by rough housing it a bit after removing it from the delivery box... a good stress reliever LOL!

It's far prettier online than in person. It definitely is not worth the high price tag but am pleased that Amazon had it at the cheapest price. I am keeping it b/c it goes with my the theme motif in my son's room. He's is 21 months old and he showed some interest in it since it's like a ball. It is not as lightweight as you might think.

I understand that they were working with fabric and that should be taken into consideration that the design of the countries might have been skewed but seriously, some of the countries just look horrible and the font they used was not a good choice.

Love the concept, hence, why I am keeping it but would think twice and I am not so sure I would recommend...check out the video and you be the judge if you could live with it.

I wanted to get my son a globe, and this was perfect. The globe is quite detailed in labelling countries, states, etc, and I think he will get a couple of good years out of this. Wish it was stuffed a little bit more though, sometimes he uses it as a pillow and it gets flattened out easily.
