They look just like the picture; they are just a bit thin and flimsy. I was hoping for something made out of cardstock, but these are made out of glossy "magazine" paper. They also don't have self-adhesive backs, which isn't a big deal to me, but something I've noticed other people care about.

It is so wonderful to hear my kids (4 year old twins and 7 year old) cheer for each other during game! This is an awesome game where you work together to try and fill your hive particular colored circles from flowers and make it to the hive before the bear does. Another great cooperative game.

As an aside when we bought this game one of the pieces was sightly chipped and I had read on Amazon that Peaceable Kingdom has fantastic customer service. I couldn't agree more. I contacted the company and had a new set sent to our house a couple days later. Solid customer service is so hard to find these days and this company went above and beyond very happy all around.

When my 3.5 year old son started wanting to have tea parties, my husband was not thrilled. "Tea parties are for girls" he said. (Don't even get me started in that!). Anyways, I wanted to find something for my son to play with. I was very excited and happy to find this set on Amazon! As soon as it arrived, I had to wash it up so we could use it. The pitcher perfectly holds a 16oz bottle of water. I usually put one of those little water flavor packets into it (usually lemonade), and we have a lemonade party. My son is happy and having fun, and my husband is thrilled it's not a tea set. The set is very well made and strong. I agree with another reviewer about the ice cube tray. It's really difficult to get the ice cubes out. We usually don't make them.

This set is more durable and well made than any set I have seen anywhere for kids or adults. It's extremely sturdy, there would literally be no way anyone could break any if the pieces. My daughter loves that she can pour her own beverages and also make tiny ice cubes! The only downside is that the ice tray is so sturdy that its too hard for her to get the ice out. There's no "twisting" it. I usually run it under hot water and then pry them out with a table knife. BUT, I love this set SO much, I really hate to write anything negative at all. LOVE IT, and the price is way too cheap for the quality of the product. This set will be around for my grandchildren's grandchildren!

My 8-month old son received this for Christmas this year, and it is a hit! He loves pulling the fish out of the fishbowl over and over again. The fish make different noises (except the 2 green fish make the same noise for obvious reasons)and he loves to shake them over and over again to discover what each fish does. The fishbowl is durable and you can fit more than just the fish in there for extra fun or for when you hit the road and want to take a few small toys with you. I am pregnant and doing a Dr. Seuss theme nursery. This toy will look great on a shelf in the room. When the baby is a little older..I KNOW she will play with this a lot! I was amazed at the quality. Each fish does something different (crinkle sound, sqeaker,bells, etc. Worth the money!

The toy is just as pictured and appears well made. I like that it isn't too big. The fish bowl and little fishes are just the right size for little hands. But I was surprised to find that the fish bowl is not rigid. I guess that is okay, but may make it a little harder for a young child to use. Also, the packaging was a little odd. The cardboard box has a large opening to display the toy, but the opening has no cellophane. it is just...open. Instead, the box arrived sealed up in an oversized, loose plastic bag. The toy was a shower gift and was difficult to wrap because of this. Overall, I was pleased with the toy itself, and I think Baby will like it.

I wish this was still around. I brought this a long time ago for random fun, and I want it for my nieces and nephews. It is a simple kit, that anyone can enjoy even young adults. The telescope is good and I still have mine. Comes with a nice colorful booklet, and a good explanation of the stars and how their color system works. This toy is a little different from the run-of-the-mill toy where you press a button or move a lever to get something to pop out. A couple reasons this is different: 1) there is an added feature where you press down the pink lever on the side so that the characters get mixed up and sent to different windows. the also spin around in circles which is fun for the baby/kid to see when the windows are open. 2) elmo asks you to try to find certain characters so that is a fun "challenge." the characters themselves also talk (say hello, goodbye, tootaloo, etc). Very cute and really not overly annoying. I really like this toy... the only thing I don't like is the angle that the baby/kid has to hold it in order to play it. it is a flat toy but it has to be held at a 45 degree angle for play. sort of hard for a baby to hold it at that angle and press the buttons and move the levers etc at the same time. really need help from an adult. my 3 yo can do it fine, but my 14 month old can't.

This is a well-designed and somewhat more original toy than many out there, asking kids to think a bit about where they can find the various characters. The fact that there are four characters but only three windows adds a fun, unpredictable factor. Not only do you guess where Big Bird or Ernie might be, but sometimes they aren't anywhere and a different character appears! The kids I shared this with enjoyed playing with it

So we allowed our son to open up his first gift from Santa a bit early, because we wanted him to have something new to play with on the airplane ride to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Miami. So we gave it to him, and boy oh boy was he excited! But we were less than thrilled. First of all, there is no off switch. This toy is extremely LOUD, and there is no volume switch either. And it goes off at the faintest movement. If it's on a table and you are walking too close to it, if the table senses your vibrations, Elmo pipes up loudly to invite you to play. We were hoping a volume switch would exist, at the very least. But nothing. Its voice is BOOMING. More upsetting though, is that we ordered it from this seller here on Amazon instead of buying it at a store, because it was cheaper than the one at Target. But when it arrived, we noticed instantly that we got a dud. When Elmo says to our son "Can you help Elmo find Big Bird? Where is Big Bird?" and he opens up the correct door to see Big Bird's face sitting there, Elmo says to him "Noooo... you found ERNIE!" and then the voice of Ernie says "HI THERE!", or whatever it says. You get the idea. When Elmo says "Can you tell Elmo who is behind door number three?" and he opens it and it's Abby Cadabby, you suddenly hear cookie monster's voice shout "HELLOOOO!!!" and Elmo says "YOU found COOKIE MONSTER!". And so on. The characters are wrong about 80 percent of the time, even when my son gets the answers right. The one he played with at the Target when he first saw this toy never did this. So clearly, we got a dud. We are going to return this one, and go buy it at Target (for more money, but at least we can test it out a few times to make sure we get one that actually works right). My poor son is so confused! He's almost two, and he really gets frustrated when he gets the answer right and Elmo says he was wrong. Not to mention when he hears the wrong character's voices emerge from the character behind the door almost every time. He ended up throwing the toy and crying. So sometimes you are better off paying a few dollars more to get a product from a store that you can investigate and test out yourself before paying. Lesson learned.

Original Review: We saw this while at a Target shopping for holiday gifts recently. I handed it to our toddler (21 months old) while he sat in the seat of the shopping cart. He became addicted to playing with it, feverishly pulling the lever over and over again to try to find the characters. It reminded me of watching the little old ladies at the local Casino slot machines for hours on end. He couldn't get enough of it. At one point we tried to take it from him, because we weren't going to buy it. But he went ballistic. So we handed it back to him and finished our shopping in peace. He played with it for so long and so hard that he fell asleep in the cart! It wore him out! We put it back on the shelf and added it to the Amazon wishlist of presents he will get for Christmas from Santa. ;)

He later saw one at a friend's house while on a playdate, and didn't want to leave without it. It's insane, how much he loves this toy. We can't wait for him to open his very own on Christmas morning!

My 18 month old loves this toy! He sits with it and opens the windows over and over and just laughs hysterically when the characters change. I dont know if he is just easily amused, but he loves it and that speaks volumes to me! I think it is a nice toy for the little ones and it's definitely worth the price. The only thing I don't like about it is that the audio is very repetative, but that is pretty much the same with most childrens' toys...totally a personal issue! Overall, a nice toy and pretty durable as well.

My 14 month old son is completely enamored of this delightful wooden music play station (with supervision of course as there are some small parts). He loves the chimes and triangle. The rattle, chime, and hand-held castinets are chunky -just right for small hands, and quite aesthetically pleasing. The drumsticks and "scraper" are nice and sturdy.

The bells are less than satisfying, especially compared with the "real" percussion sleighbells I bought at our local music shop for $7.

But what prompted me to write a review is this -I was appalled to find that the "xylophone" does NOT play a typical musical scale. In fact, the longest red key at the end is a higher pitch than its neighbor, the orange key (second in from end). And the yellow and green keys on my model are the exact same note. I'm disappointed because the xylophone *looks* real, but it's not musically accurate. Maybe my set was just mis-assembled (and mis-painted?). I haven't contacted the company about it because we already have a great metal rainbow xylophone (again from a "real" music store for $12.95).

Overall, this is lots of fun, with enough instruments for toddler and friends to all enjoy together. Just beware the tuneless xylophone!

This is a great musical toy. We've had it for 2 years and my 3 boys (5,3, and 1) love playing with it. It's fun to watch them all play together and to sing and dance along to their music. The quality is great for it's intended purpose but if your kids use it as a hammer or sword instead of an instrument, it may break! We like it so much that we're ordering this as a Christmas gift for my neices/nephews!

Ordered this for my son Ralph for his seventh birthday. BIG MISTAKE! First off, it cost me emotional damage (PTSD) when I had to use my bare hands to fight it off. I can no longer buy honey that comes in the shapes of bears. I have to strategically plan my exits before I visit the mall to avoid the Build-A-Bear Workshop. I can't handle bear hugs. I've had seven nervous breakdowns and eight panic attacks at Walt Disney World alone.

First the negative this is a very loud toy that does not have any sort of volume control. However, your child will be entertained by the varieties of songs and animal sounds that come from this interactive "zoo". Better yet, there is a small control nob that will make a monkey move and dance. You can see the features in the video, and you can imagine the smile's on your child's smile. In terms of safety, there are no small parts or sharp corners.

This toy is so very, very obnoxiously annoying. You just don't know. This is the Fran Drescher of baby toys. If it actually taught my daughter something or entertained her for more than 5 minutes, I might be able to get over it. But it has very few redeeming factors in my eyes. It has a single yellow light that flashes just because, I guess to get their attention but it's not really integrated with the design of the toy like most others, it's just...there. The vocals aren't particularly clear / articulate to babies with emerging language skills. Frankly, I see very, very little educational value in this toy, it's mostly for entertainment, so don't buy it expecting your kid to learn something other than how to rhyme "feet" with "feet" (oh no they di-ent). It tips over constantly from having all the buttons up top and the edges are hard plastic which is not a good combination with a wobbly pre-walker who face-plants into the floor roughly every eleven and a half seconds. My daughter has fallen into this very hard toy many times unfortunately. But if you choose to get this toy anyway, be prepared to hum "I'm a great big elephant, stomping here, stomping there" in the company of adults who have no idea your very soul has been infected with the obnoxious, repetitive "lyrics" of this malevolent device. On the day this toy is retired, I shall dance like a monkey and laugh laugh laugh.

My son received this as a gift at his 1 yr birthday party. He loves it! It can be annoying just like any baby toy but I would put this at a 2 out of 5 if I were rating the annoyance for adults we have this other catch me kitty toy that is much worse). As far as my one year old this is his favorite toy. I have it on our windowsill and he constantly goes over to it to hit a button to make it play a song. The flashing light on our does not work it never has but I don't find that it really matters. There are two "modes" so when one gets old I just switch it to the other mode. I don't find it terribly loud again we have other toys that are much too loud. He constantly drags and drops it and it still works. As far as being educational he says bye bye when the toys says bye bye but I find he just likes to dance to the songs I just don't think every single toy needs to have an educational element some are just for fun and dancing.

My son received this as a birthday present, and was interested it only for the first couple of days. He soon learned that it's not interacting with him with each button press; it's more like you press one button to engage the autopilot, and let it run its course. Just turning the toy on or pressing a single button will result in a 30to 60-second rapid fire barrage of sound effects and songs, neither of which is effective educationally for my one-year-old.

What became quickly apparent to adults, however, was the unbelievably annoying and even unnerving style in which the male voice sings the songs through this machine. (Another reviewer posted a video, so you can see and hear for yourself.) And to adult ears, the style in which the songs are sung sounds almost twisted, like in a scary clown sort of way. If Chucky (from the "Child's Play" movies) trapped you in a zoo of horrors, you might hear the songs this toy assaults your ears with as you run in vain.

But the most twisted thing? The songs are SO annoying that you can't get them out of your head...and then you start to like them. Well, that happened to me, anyway. All the adults want it taken away, so I may just take it to work, because this toy's apparently worked its twisted magic on me. Not recommended at all as a learning toy.

Purchased as a christmas gift for our 9 month old daughter. We bought a limited number of toys to keep from having a house full and this was one we selected. It was a little hard to find but worth it! This toy is great! She loves to push the buttons and make the monkey dance. The batteries have held up well considering how much it is used. The ONLY problem is that the songs are quite catch and I catchy myself singing the jingles sometimes :)

I was a little disapponinted when I received this item. In the description it didnn't say if it was used or not. It doesn't matter to me if it's used as long as it's still in good working condition. In the picture it showed the product in the original box and the price was great. When I received it, it was not in a box, it was wraped in 2 layers on plastic (no bubble wrap or anything). It looks nice enough, but kind of cheaply made, and I didn't see any scratches or anything. Some of the keys you have to hit more than once for the sound to come out. However, I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter who just wants to make noise with it, so I decided to keep it anyway.

I ordered this balance for my 2 year old niece and nephew, but have found that it is not suitable for them at all. While I realize that the scale is designated for kids 3 and up, I don't imagine it is suitable for a child under 6. First, the buckets that hold the material being measured fall off of the base very easily. Second, the buckets do not move very far when there is a significant difference in the weight of the two buckets. The kids cannot discern the point of the scale for that reason. I had hoped that they would be able to put say, 3 blocks on one side and 2 blocks on the other and then be able to see that the two blocks side went up. That is not possible with this scale. The buckets have mL marks, which I suppose would be very helpful if the kids were in elementary school learning the metric system.

It's a scale and it does what it's suppose to do! We enjoyed using it to measure from liquids to sand or just other things you can weigh, my daughter started to even weigh her own toys including play food toys. It's nice to be able to play with something that gives kids the concepts of how big one thing can be still can weigh less than something so small. It was a great addtion to my daughter's play kitchen as well as for her science set play toys. It's a simple item to have but I got a really great buy from Amazon, Thanks!=)
