The V Tech headphones we bought are great!!! I tried them out first to see if I could reach sound levels that could harm my daughter's ears. The sound level remained in the safe area even with a driving input.

They appear to be well built as my four year old hasn't been able to break them.

They are perfectly sized for kids.

Just like many other reviewers, I am pleased with the product, but far from enthralled.

The headphones function well, but only in low noise situations. They don't get loud enough to compete with the noise level in public places (such as a noisy restaurant), which defeats some of the reasons we had for buying the headphones.

This is a double edged sword though. On a device where my 3 year old has control of the volume, I'm not sure I want him to have the opportunity to reach higher level volumes.

All in all, I got what I was expecting and will continue to use them till my son's head outgrows them.

I got these for my 5 year old daughter as an accessory to her MobiGo2. I love that they're not super loud so they won't hurt her ears, and I love the mute button on the side so she can listen to me when I have to tell her something, but the holes on the head band are too big for the crown thing and it keeps falling off. Another issue, and my biggest complaint, is that the black earphone protectors fall off too easily and they are a pain in the behind to get them back on. If they can solve the protector issue, I'd definitely recommend; VTech is one of my favorite children brands.

To be honest, I wasn't sure how my kids would react to this toy. I didn't know if it would hold their attention or not. So I was quite surprised to see them all sitting around it and sharing it between the three of them. (My kids are currently 5, 4 and 3.) But they sure do love it. And they seem to have discovered all the functions of the top pretty easily. I have been especially surprised with how durable the thing is. Mind you, with three kids under 6, for them to automatically stand up and start running around and dropping this thing every other minute I am glad that it can hold up to their ways. This is definitely worth every penny I pair for it.

I purchased the Disney Cars Mater's Spy Laptop for my 4 yr. old grandson for Christmas and it turned out to be his favorite gift of all.

I was looking for something similar but couldn't find anything in the stores. I found this one on Amazon and was very happy with the price.

It keeps him entertained for long periods and it's educational. The only thing I found to be a negative is the screen is rather small, but

it doesn't seem to matter to him at all. I found it to be a good value for the price and plan to purchase another for another grandson for

I just started Arduino Adventures with my 12 year old and was delighted to find this kit of parts that has everything I need to complete the challenges in the book. One thing to be aware of is that the book assumes you have an Arduino Uno R3 but this kit contains the Arduino Leonardo. It's almost the same thing but make sure you choose the right board from the "Tool" menu in the Arduino IDE! We had a few tense moments when the Serial Monitor showed complete gibberish instead of the expected output. Setting the board to "Leonardo" fixed this.

We can't wait for Challenge 2!

Do read my review of Arduino Adventures! Both the book and this kit were better than I expected.

Not only does this kit include every component you'll need to complete the challenges in the book, it has a few extras, does not skim on quality, and is a very good value.

The components included are of high quality the breadboards I received are the clear plastic kind, and the Arduino was Leonardo-based, has a micro USB connector, can act as a USB client, and it also has a wireless connector header for Xbee/Zigbee, etc.

Sure, you can buy all these components separately, and they may end up being cheaper, I really don't know. But the convenience of getting all the components in one place, and seeing the quality of what was packed in the box made this a good choice for me and my kids.

Nothing is in the way of us solving all the challenges from the Arduino Adventures book and rescuing Cade and Elle!

Just a heads up to "raptor" fans: Megaraptor was originally thought as a dromaeosaur as this was the first fossil found, but it is now classified as an allosaurid. My son received this toy from his grandmother for his first birthday and loved it. He and his four year old brother play with it everyday making towers, caves, mountains, fortresses, boats and beds. It is amazingly well made; it might be the only toy yet they haven't broken in their rough housing and even as small as it is it adds beauty wherever it is in our home. It might also be their only toy that they like as much now as when they received it.

I much prefer receiving one well made, beautiful toy that allows for open ended play than one hundred lesser items. It is better for a child's mind, building a peaceful home, and I might say for their character as well.

We purchased this toy on Amazon. I had seen these online when searching for wood toys for my one year old. The colors are bright and she really likes the toy. There are only two things that I would say are down sides for the toy. It is not the "weight" I thought it would be. The wood pieces are quite light...good for her being able to pick up and maneuver, but I'm afraid it might break if handled too roughly. And secondly it is not completely sanded on the inside. I thought they would be smooth, but ours are rough on the inner side of the arches which makes them a little difficut to slide into each other at least for a young child.

Overall I would buy it again.

The description says "The 6 pieces nested measure 6.75" wide x 3.6" high x 2.5" thick/deep (17.1 x 9.1 x 6.4 cm)." However, I just received mine and it is the "small" version.

The barcode that the rainbow is packaged in also says it is the LARGE, but I measured it (with measuring tape, to be exact), and it is only 4" wide x 2" high x 1.5" thick/deep. It is TINY! It almost fits in the palm of my hand. It is definitely NOT the same size as the rainbows shown in the photos.

I am extremely disappointed because 1: I paid extra to get the "large" version, and 2: this was supposed to be my little girl's birthday gift.

I don't know if it's amazon's mistake or the seller ("Natural Family Shop" Naomi T. Binkley), but I am sending it back immediately. Unfortunately, I can only get a refund instead of a replacement with the correct item. I'm so upset :(

My daughter just received this for her 3rd birthday and both she and my 6-year-old son LOVE it! There are so many ways to play with these stacking as a tall tower, trying to balance layers upside down, creating a snacking S shape, mixing in with regular building blocks (we have the Beka blocks made of Maple great set), using the orange and purple curves as tunnels for Brio trains (the other colors are too short for Brio), turning them into slides and bridges for dollhouse dolls (such as the Plan Toys wooden dolls). It is such a great, open-ended toy! Also the colors are bold and beautiful making you want to reach out and touch it to play. I now want to purchase more of these sets because they are so open ended and great for children of all ages. And I can see how multiple sets could be used together.

Purchased this for my 6 month old granddaughter. I think it is a cute toy, plays sweet music, has two modes of interactive play, on and off switch, high and low volume, has the peek-a-boo bird, and the teether rings on top. My grandbaby will listen to the music and likes to pick up the toy since it is small and manageable for a 6 month old's hand. She mainly likes to chew on the toy. When she is older I will introduce her to the educational activities that are sung for counting, colors, and finding objects. One can't go wrong with leap frog toys.

Edit: My granddaughter is 10 months and showing more of an interest in this toy. She like opening and closing the wing on the bird for peek a boo. I never paid attention to the fact there is a musical note on the bird's belly. When the yellow belly is pressed it will play 6 different classical tunes like Bach and Mozart. The classical music that plays a long time has made this toy an even better purchase.

Tell Me a Story card decks like this one are great teaching tools for the classroom or for parents at home. I have used this deck with a group of elementary aged children. We spread the deck on the floor and take turns drawing a card and adding to the story. By having each child repeat all the story that's gone before, you increase memory skills, and creating his or her own new part of the story helps creativity. I purchased this for one my students who has a problem learning his alphabet (spanish student 2nd grade). Just like any other flash cards of the alphabets where they show the upper and lower case letters along with pictures each letter it starts with BUT, it also tests him: which lower case matches with the upper case and which letter comes next. I do recommend this over regular flash cards. Now the Talking Pen is not included. I purchased the regular yellow Talking Pen instead of the dog one because it seemed less bulky. I also wrote a review and the Talking Pen( 3 stars) so, check it out.

bought it for my 4yr old's birthday and she loves it. she's been in a private 3K program this past year and has already been introduced to phonics, also has a subscription to abcmouse.com so she quickly caught on to the cards. it was still a good review for her but one month aftter getting them i already feel like i should buy a more advanced set because of her early exposure. it's a great starting point for her though because she needs to master the entire set of 30 cards and it's boosted her confidence as she gets the 95% of them right.

I ordered a lot more sets. They work well for both of my kids, ages 4 and 5. I had especially wanted this since my son (age 5) hates all things reading and does much better with electronics. He did this by himself and really enjoyed it. It's helped out a lot. I wish the pens said more and explained why their answer is wrong or right, but maybe they'll change some things in the future.

Also, on some of the cards they have to hit the dots in certain areas for it to tell them it is right, even if it is the correct answer.

Just like the other reviews, our little boy LOVE LOVE LOVES these animals! The only problem is, as others have said, the zebra doesn't stand up! He will for a minute, maybe, but we can't figure out why they don't fix this flaw (hence the ridiculous drawback). We actually had to deal with a bit of crying over this, so it's not just an annoyance. He was really upset by the "fall down!" zebra. Other than the zebra, though, he really digs the penguin, monkey, polar bear and hippo. They're great to take along for the ride or on playdates.

We also have the farm animals set from the same company, and my kids (4 and 2 years old) LOVE playing with them. The animals in this set are fairly large, but they are not to the same scale as each other. For example, the penguin is taller than the hippo and polar bear. My kids, obviously, don't notice or care, but I wish they were more accurately sized.

Also, my other complaint is that the zebra is the only animal that will not stand up on its own. The way the front legs are constructed and positioned, it always falls over to its side. My husband tried to fix it by semi-gently prying the legs farther apart, but unfortunately its leg broke. LOL, guess he's off to the glue factory, huh?

These are excellent animals and my grandson loves them. I was a little disappointed though. I had purchased the Jumbo Jungle Animals and Jumbo Dinosaurs by this same company and expected these to be of the same type and quality. They are made of different material and in my opinion are not as high in quality as the others that I purchased in April. The Jungle animals and dinosaurs were a hard plastic and were solid. The Zoo animals are a soft plastic and hollow. While my grandson loves them all, I feel the Jungle Animals were more durable and realistic looking. It won't stop me from buying other sets by Learning Resources as these are the best animal sets around for the price. The animals are larger than I have found in other sets and they are very realistic in appearance. People just need to be aware that these are not the same "museum" quality as the other sets.

As far as play value goes, according to my son, there is not a day goes by that my two-year-old grandson does not play with his animals. He even lines them all up when he watches TV so they can watch with him.

This globe is a glamorous cardboard ball with a sticker on it. The "relief" bumps to signify mountain ranges is actually off register (does not line up) with the map adhered to it. Cheap, horribly built, of no discernable quality.

We purchased this globe as a gift. Even being aware of the dimensions, it still appeared smaller than we expected. The post that the globe stands on seems very cheap and wobbly. For the high cost, we expected a higher quality. It just seemed liked a $6.99 Walmart school globe on a cheap hollow stick for $70. I'll be waiting to hear if it stands up use, or if the globe cracks or while spinning it breaks, it appears that cheap.

This was purchased as a gift and the recipient (my mother-in-law) was very happy with it. Although not necessary I would suggest buying a three inch 10X magnifying glass for those with close-up vision problems. I purchased a good quality magnifying glass with a similar type wooden handle on Ebay for about $15.00 to go along with the gifted globe. The 12" globe is an ideal size because it doesn't take up much space but a smaller globe would be harder to read.

The stand is of good quality and can be converted to desktop or floor use very easily.

For the price I was very impressed with the construction of this replogle model globe and would not hesitate to buy another.
