We have had so much fun playing the Crocodile Hop Floor Game! My boys love the blow up dice and trying to hunt for the color or shape on the board. I love that it gets their wiggles out and teaches them at the same time! The shapes and colors are spaced pretty close together so sometimes they would pass right over the closest shape/color they were looking for and move right down the line to the first one their eyes saw. Still, it didn't seem to bother either of them and it made the games go quickly so we could play several times in a row without getting worn out. The game stores well as the dice are inflatable so it doesn't take up a ton of storage space which is nice. Overall a cute and fun game that reminds me somewhat of hopscotch.

My little boy loved this game so much I thought it was so cute that my little girl played with him but then again she is only seven so the game to here looked really fun. Conner had so much fun tossing the dice and the fact that is was so big made it much easier to roll and play with. The graphics on the mat are really nice and has really nice detailing to it. This game is just so easy to set up and play and just as easy to put away back into the box. It is so funny when he is playing he will want to roll a certain thing and he will keep repeating it and if he gets it, he is so excited and he will jump up and down. With my little boy only being four he loves to play games but the problem is he does not want to just sit and sit and he don't really understand the rules unless it is differently just for his age. Plus, he is at the age where he really wants to interact in the game and with him loving to learn this game is really want we have been looking for.

The picture made us think of Twister a big plastic mat that we would be walking and standing on. Few of the instructions actually have you walking on the mat. More, the mat is supposed to be used as a game board with pieces you move along. Nonetheless, we have made activities for us to walk on the mat and my 3 year old has enjoyed it.

This set of resistors is the perfect starter kit for any electronics hobbyist. Even an avid tinkerer/engineer will find this price near impossible to beat. At about $20, you have practically all necessary resistors neatly organized into bags in a small, space saving, box. My only wish is that they start providing higher wattage sets!

Update:

I've been running into tolerance issues with these resistors. Here's an example: A 680k resistor reading at 734k. On the high-side of 1%, this resistor should be reading at 687k. Now if the product stated 10% tolerance, we'd be alright.

I'm also not a fan of how flimsy the leads are coming from the resistor. Looks like the adage "too good to be true" may hold weight here.

Update:

I've gone through the tedious task of measuring each of the 86 values in this set and here are my results:

470 ohm 2% variance

1.5k ohm 2% variance

100k ohm 2% variance

270k ohm 2% variance

470k ohm 3% variance

330k ohm 10% variance

680k ohm 10% variance

5.6M ohm 30% variance (only one of the resistors read this high, the others hit 1% as expected)

The 2% variance, while out of spec, shouldn't be a concern. The 330k and 680k, however, are way off. One of the 5.6M resistors read a whopping 30% off. I'm wondering if there's quality control issues from this batch.

Joe has offered to replace the sets that are out of range. I appreciate this greatly. It is more important to me in dealing with a business to see that the business cares about its product than getting a faulty item. In this case, I'd like to see the new batch arrive with the thicker leads as promised and with greater QC. Also, again, higher wattage sets!

This resistor kit is a good value for the electronics hobbyist. I looked at several electronics catalogs and hobby sites before ordering this item. The kit provides a great range of precision(1%, metal film)1resistors in a convenient and well marked package. The 1/4 watt rating is fine for most digital and many analog projects. I prefer this box with individually labeled resealable bags to a cabinet of resistors because it takes less space. The resistors are small, so the color code markings can be a bit hard to read. If, like me, your eyesight is not perfect, a multimeter is a useful way to confirm the R value.

I'm colorblind. I work and tinker with electronics, and it is often difficult for me to discern the color bands printed on through-hole resistors. Many resistor kits do not individually label resistors, and expect the user to sort them. It is very nice that this kit individually labels each bag of resistors!

I got this kit because I've recently become interested in electronics. One day I realized that the little selection of resistors that I got at RadioShack didn't cut it.

This kit is so incredibly convenient. The first thing that I did when I got it was to sort my existing collection of resistors into the bags. They are labeled with the value, so this was really easy.

Some things you should know about these resistors:

* They are the "blue" kind. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it does it make it a little more difficult to read the color codes because the blue background provides less contrast.

* They are 5-band resistors. The box has a great little chart for reading 5-band resistors. If you can read 4-band resistors then you will have no trouble with these. Why was this necessary? Some of the resistors have values that can't be expressed using the 4-band system.

* The leads are just a little bit thinner than you would find on a resistor that you bought from RadioShack, or a similar store. I personally don't care. They are still 1/4 of a watt, but the leads aren't as thick as the resistors that most beginners have become accustomed to.

I highly suggest that you buy this kit. If you ever need to build an oscillator, it will be important to have the right resistor values. Same goes for voltage dividers.

With that said, I have two suggestions for future versions of the kit:

* Please include some empty bags with blank labels so that we can make our own bags if we have some strange resistor values that didn't come with the kit.

* Please include 29k resistors. They are important if you wanted to make a phase-shift oscillator (search for it on Wikipedia)

P.S.: Joe, if you ever make a capacitor kit that matches the quality of this one, I will buy it in a heartbeat.

This case is great for letting my niece play with my old iPhone. The following are some tips that I left as a comment, but figured everyone might benefit from.:)

So you're not constantly opening up the case to turn it on and off or change apps: I have found that flipping the phone 180 degrees in the case allows you access to the "home" button, but the film is still firm enough that it takes a little work for a toddler to press it. You can change your iPhone's settings to auto-lock "never", but I find setting it to "5 minutes" is usually enough. If my niece hasn't played with the thing in 5 minutes, she's probably lost interest. A trick for saving battery life is to put the phone in airplane mode before putting it in the case. No unwanted phone calls, no accidental internet access. Don't have a quarter handy to open the back? A standard house or car key will usually do the trick. Some plastic links from children's toys will fit the lock slot as well.

My only concerns: I wish there was a way to charge the phone while in the case without compromising the safety of the device when it's played with. A rubber stopper, maybe? And YES, a way to access the headphone port would be great, because then I could plug it in to speakers or other sources without opening the case. If you had a speaker in the case itself that could be connected to the headphone jack from the inside, that might be cool.

I purchased this so my 2 year old son could watch his shows Handy Manny, Chuggington, etc. while the family is out and about. It offers the BEST protection for the iPhone out of any case I have tried. I love that it covers the home button so his little thumb does not always hit it and stop the show. However on that note, at the end of a movie if the phone shuts off before you can start another, you must remove the phone from the case to turn it back on. I also wish it hand been designed with HANDLES in the widescreen position so when he is watching a show or movie he can hold on to handles. I do not think the rings on the case are needed. Buy the time it was released he was already 2 and not into playing with them. I have downloaded all 3 apps they promote with this product but found he is not interested in them, maybe for someone who is younger.

My main use of this product is to protect mt iPhone while he is watching movies.

Make sure you carry a quarter to lock & unlock this case as it is a tight fit.

I was not sure if this would work for us or not. I found it at a store and decided to give it a try. My son has his own iPod touch and in our old case he would always reset the thing because he could get to the round button. We really wanted a case that would let him use t he touch screen but would only let us use the button. This was good in that he could use the screen and could not touch the round button, the only problem was that if we had to get to the button it was really a pain because you have to open the back and take the iPod out of the case. To fix this problem my husband drilled a hole in the cover above the button. We now use a pen to push the button but my son cannot access the button. This took care of the problem! We have only taken it out of the case to recharge it. If the case came with this hole then I would have given it 5 stars. Overall this seems like a great case and he sees to like it more than the otter box case that he had before. One other thing. I have read that wifi can be unhealthy for little kids so we just put the airplane mode on and the device stops sending and receiving any signals. This works well because the last thing I need is my 2 yr old surfing the Internet.

My 1 year old loves our iPod touch, but is constantly pressing the home button by mistake. This would have been a great product if Fisher-Price had taken a little time to be innovative, rather than giving us a case that is nothing more than a big plastic jail for our iPod.

Here's why it is unusable: There is no way for "Parent" to tap the home button, control the volume or turn the device on and off. Basically, what this means is that as soon as baby stops using the device, the app will go into sleep mode with no way to turn it back on .... parent is forced to completely remove the device from the case to turn it back on.

This would have been almost forgivable if Fisher Price had give Parent a way to easily take the device out of the case to turn it back on. Instead, I have to go grab a coin every time the device goes into sleep mode, and clumsily remove the device from the case.

I bought this toy hoping that it would help my daughter understand the one-to-one correspondence associated with counting up to ten. However, it is a trick to get this toy penguin to count only one time for each fish that is placed in its mouth. Oftentimes it will count, "one-two" for one fish. Also, even though the toy touts counting to ten, there are only FIVE fish. Therefore, after inserting five fish, you have to empty the little tummy of the product to count up further. There are not ten fish to count to ten. The only thing that it is good for is teaching the numbers in sequence. If this toy were easier to return to its original packaging, I'd return it.

This is a great little toy for helping kids learn to count to 10. It only comes with 5 fish so you do need to take them out and start over to actually get to 10. Very cute penguin that kids are sure to love!

First let me say something about the review questions. This toy is not fun nor is it a toy but I think the quality and the product are great so I gave all questions 5 stars.

Now to the review. The hooks are perfect to hang my daughter's calendar on our laundry room door. They stay in place even when the door is in regular constant use. They are very durable metal usually is and easy to "connect". I would order again if I were in need of hanging something like a school calendar again.

The Pocket Chart Door Hanger should not be identified as a toy. It is a valuable tool. As mentioned earlier, fun and educational qualities of the product do not apply. In my office, when an employee moves, EVERYTHING goes with him/her. That's not the way it's supposed to work. I purchased my own white board for the door of my office. In the last move, holes were drilled into the door. Mounting was no problem. This time, I needed an alternative way of displaying the board--no new holes may be drilled. This product looked like it would work. I am happy to say that it's better than I expected. You can adjust the height of the hooks; the design is such that the board does not bounce when the door is opened or closed. The stabilizing hooks come with rubber tips that prevent marring the door. These hangers were thoughtfully designed. I highly recommend this product.

The door hanger doesn't actually fit properly over the door it's too loose, and as a result, it has chewed up the door and door frame. I had to add a few shims (which look terrible) to get a solid fit. I would not waste the money again.

I received my Unique Art Gemstone globe via Amazon's 2-day shipping program. The box was actually larger than I expected and did arrive a little worse for wear, but the globe is quite well packaged inside the box. The globe is padded with a custom styrofoam encasement and the gold frame is hand-wrapped in thick tissue paper to protect the delicate finish. Once unpacked, it was in perfect condition and quite impressive.

The gemstones were fit together perfectly and I spent some time reviewing the fine craftsmanship. The brilliant shine to both the gold frame and the globe itself are far more striking in person than on the stock photos. The pictures on Amazon's site do not quite do this item justice. As with most items, I found Amazon's pricing competitive with their online competition. I would recommend this line of gemstone globes to anyone looking to make a purchase.

Review of Pacon Corporation Art Kraft Paper, 48"X200', Purple

This is listed as having a smooth side and a rough side. It does, but they are of differing quality.

The rough side, is about the texture of typical construction paper, and is very even in appearance.

The smooth side, is a polished surface, but the appearance is not even. There are streaks through it. If you've ever seen a concrete wall which was poured with wood planks as supports, and leaves the grain in the concrete; it looks like that but smooth. It's like black-on-black wood grain.

-If you need a matte finish for background, the "rough" side is great. (it's not very rough)

-If you want semi-gloss, the smooth side is a bit uneven, unless you're covering it up with loads of other items.

-It's listed as heavyweight. It's about the thickness of typical inkjet paper, not butcher or packing paper.

-It's not flimsy/fall-apart like construction paper, so it holds up reasonably well to folding. Tears nice along a fold, both directions.

For chalk, consider some chalkboard spraypaint instead.

4/5 because of the smooth side.

This is cheap entertainment. I use it to cover our 48" round table for coloring. My 2 year old loves to color the whole table. If I use both sides of the paper, it'd cost about 25 cents a time, and it entertains her for at least a couple hours. Can't beat that with a stick! The paper is nice and thick and I'm sure I'll use it for other things such as wrapping paper. Shipping was fast too.

These guys must have laughed hysterically when they decided to call this paper Heavyweight... or even White for that matter, and just for fun, made up the word Duo-Finish.

First off, the paper itself was wavy and completely uneven, almost like it had been exposed to moisture or humidity. It was not smooth at all, is an icky, off white color, and both sides were equally crappy. It's as thin as cut-rate copy machine paper. Unlike the photo, it does not come on any kind of core, and the center is wound so tight you can't slide it onto any kind of rod to use as 'roll' paper unless you spend a half hour to hand loosen it. Even if you bother, it will end up sagging on whatever hanger rod you put it on instead of sit in a clean roll, making it very awkward to use.

You can completely forget trying to use it as cheapo photography background paper, and is so crappy looking, will show in anything but the most blurred backgrounds. I can't imagine it's much good for anything EXCEPT letting a child scribble with crayons on it. It's basically going to end up as wadding for shipping/package filler.

Seriously, pass this junk right on by and purchase a decent brand...

It's pathetic.

you say the item is "heavyweight" but you can see through it. you say it has a smooth side and a textured side, there is no difference with the two sides. paper is too thin for watercolor which is what i wanted it for. very disappointed. if i could get my money back on it i would.

As a stay-at-home-mom of 3, this stuff is invaluable! Worth every penny I spent on it. We've used it for so many things. Hung some up outside so the kids could paint, made a map, draped some over the kitchen table and made a fort, used it as a tablecloth for a playdough session, and of course just put some down so the kids could draw. Seriously, great, great, great! Oh, and I've even used it to wrap gifts, and let the kids decorate the paper. Planning on buying again when I'm out!

I am very disappointed in the condition of this product and the fact that amazon would send it out this way. The table itself is a great idea and a wonderful gift. However Amazon shipped it out to me with a good number of the pieces having paint chips and scratching on the metal wires. This is unfortunate because the table is over a hundred dollars and is in poor condition and my son was there when I opened the box. A side note for the table itself is that the beads are made larger than the ends of thee wire so they don't fit properly all the way down. they need to lower the price on this product!!!

The photo for this product shows what looks to be a 2-3 year old boy and the table coming up to his hip-level; my son is 14 months old and it hits at the same level on him! He is tall for his age but still, I think the picture is misleading. It is otherwise a very cute and well-made play table. It doesn't slide and scoot around on our wood floors, the legs are heavy and sturdy and there are rubber bottoms on the legs. I think the weight is just right. It stays put for play but isn't difficult for mom to lift and move out of the way. I like the vehicles on the toy, they're utility vans and trucks of different kinds not just cars so kids will like that as they get older and understand what kind of truck is what. And in that regard I think my son will enjoy it better when he's older. I got it for him as he's learning to cruise and walk, to help him, but it doesn't hold his interest all that long yet.

This was bought for my grandson as a Christmas present. He is only two, but he has a very bright and inquiring mind. He loves cars, too, so this was the perfect activity table for him. The beads on the wires are different types of traffic signs, a train with several cars, and cars. He and his siblings play together on it at times, having races across the beads. There are also cars permanently attached to the table part with nuts and bolts, and these have their own tracks to run in. It has been a great toy, one that even the 8-year-old plays with.

This is the Einstein DIY Science Kit Radio that my 17 year old granddaughter just put together. She LOVES it. I'm so proud of her for doing it! She did something she had no idea she could do. She is having a blast playing it too. It works great.

Another granddaughter who is only 11 tried to put hers together. I think she 1) lost a piece of it and 2) never paid any attention to the directions. Hers did not work. I've been thinking of having the older granddaughter take this one apart and try to reconstruct from her own instructions. When we figure out if something is missing or just not wired correctly, I'm confident we can get it to work.
