This product is laminated(can use dry erase marker on it), with the one-hundred chart on one side. On the opposite side there is the same 10x10 hundreds grid only with no numbers filled in. This is great if you want to use the back of the chart to make graphs or have the child write the hundreds chart as you dictate the numbers to them. A great math manipulative. I was at the Dollar Store and they had a one-hundred poster, but this is so much more useful and interactive for the student. I highly recommend.

Buy Caillou Magical Adventures

My 3 year old loves Caillou so I thought this would be a great gift for her for Christmas. She really does enjoy it and the price was excellent. However, it isn't something she can really do on her own, which is fine, but the game says this is appropriate for 2-6 year old and I think its more suited for 4 and up, but nonetheless, my 3 year old still enjoys it. I would buy it again.

Buy Hape - Rainbow Bead Abacus

This is a nice abacus, except some of the wooden bars are crooked. This is not very obvious when they are covered with the wooden beads though. The paint is chipping off a bit too and I think the paint is starting to discolour the wood bars. Both my 3 year old and my 8 month old play with it a lot and they are quite rough with it at times. For the price, it is still pretty good. Not great though.

The product feels good, stron and solid, stands well with a good fundation. It is a good toy for kids to learn math, I am trying to teach the mutiplication concepts for my 5 1/2 yrs old, he is able to make use of it. Once the kids gets familiar to use it, you can just hand over this with a peice of paper and he/she should be able to write the mutiplication tables below 10, once they keep practicing or playing with it for math purpose they surely will be able to memorize the mutiplication tables. This can be used for additions too. I also have a 3-yr old trying to play with it some times to count and identify colors. Using such toy for a kid for math purpose will pay for it, just go for it, they can learn from it. I am giving it a 4-star feels like the paint may ware on the beads, who knows it may stay fine too.

This is a very well-made, substantial toy. I don't know how educational it will be for my niece, but at least she gets to play with the pretty colors and move the beads around. (After all, who really knows how to use an abacus besides the Chinese?) If this were to be an educational toy, someone would have to sit with the child and actively instruct, I think. At any rate, it's a very nice toy and I don't begrudge the money I spent on it.

This abacus is well made, durable, and hasn't chipped paint yet. While my kids (3 and 5) aren't really drawn to it after the first week, we still keep it in the playroom when they have math questions. This is a good intro to math and recommend all parents own one.

I wanted a lot of sight words so I could continue with my kids for a long time with it. Most sets maybe have one or two sets with 30 or so words. This is a great set and each box has a lot to work with. They are already hole punched so you can put them on a ring which is really handy. The only drawback is I wish they used one side to put the sight word in a sentence. That would have been much more helpful than the writing side which I don't really get at all. Overall a great set to buy.

My brother got this for my niece for her bday. She LOVES it! It has really great features. The music it plays is great and modern. The applause buttons are hilarious and she just love love loved those especially when she got the hang of controlling them with her feet. Definitely a 5 star!

I know another reviewer had an issue with volume. That wasn't really an issue for us. Perhaps the batteries weren't fresh?

My 5-year-old daughter was insistent that she receive this for Christmas -it was top of her list! So, in spite of the mediocre reviews on Amazon, I ordered it. It's a VERY cute product, easy to raise/lower, and the buttons for clapping/cheering are fantastic. HOWEVER, it's really not very loud!!! I never thought I'd complain about that, but it hardly sounds like her voice is coming through a speaker. You have to get down on the ground, right by where the sound comes out, to even feel like the voice is coming through the microphone. We'll keep the product, because she LOVES playing with it. And, maybe it's a blessing in disguise that it's quiet. But given the volume situation, I'm not sure I would buy it all over again.

My son loves this toy! We bought it for him for his first birthday, and now at 16 months this is one of the few toys that still holds his interest. Great colors, and I love that even though it causes a little noise, it doesn't require $10 worth of batteries a week, or sing annoying repetative songs, just good old fashioned cause and effect! Its also extremely durable, and the balls are made out of a hard plastic. A plus when you have a ball obsessed dog :)

Got this for my 2 year old and now that he's 3, he still plays with it. He is in love with gumball machines and this is a great alternative to buying him a real one with sugar packed candy! The balls are bright and heavy duty. It would be great for a smaller baby to teach cause and effect. Some times the key gets stuck and you have to jiggle it a little but other than that it works perfectly!

These posters aren't very accurate, which was pretty disappointing. They show that H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) is bonded O-H-H-O, which anyone with a few weeks of chemistry knowledge knows is impossible. CO2 is shown to be a bent molecule, but it's not. The examples just don't make sense and the diagrams aren't even slightly accurate. Good decorations for a science classroom where nobody is really reading the posters.

Good posters, contain solid information on atoms,molecules, elements, and compounds. Great fit for my sophomore chemistry classroom. Nice worksheets also came along with it. Would recommend for teachers.

It's African, not American Indian. But it looks good on the bulletin boards I purchased it to decorate. I was doing a Native American display and wanted a border to reflect that. But when these borders arrived, I used them anyway. No one noticed the discrepancy, and I have left them as borders for my bulletin board. Now I've changed the display to a wild America theme (animals, plants, landscapes) and the African borders still work. Nice borders, but not what they were represented.

My family and I are trying to learn sign language. These have been a great help. I have seen some of the other cards and so far these are my favorite to use. You can put a few on the ring that comes with this box set and flip through them with ease. The box is a hinge type box and is great for placing on the front of a shelf for easy access to switch out the cards. The cards are of nice construction. I think they will last a long time.
